In Costa Rica a blessed land of natural beauty and peace, where the people are known for their warmth, sincerity, and love of harmony, a deep spiritual longing shines through. In 1989, a visit to this cherished country by Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) left a profound impression on many seekers. Her radiant presence and enlightened words awakened heartfelt devotion, and one young man, upon recognizing Master as the Holy Mother he had long awaited, even requested to become a monk on the spot. This moment marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Costa Rican disciples, who grew in sincerity and dedication under Master’s loving Guidance. We are pleased to present the lecture series titled “The Monks of Costa Rica,” given by Supreme Master Ching Hai on June 3, 1989, in Costa Rica. In this series, She expounds on various spiritual topics, including the meaning of renunciation and the boundless merits of dedicating our body, speech, and mind to the Divine.
