They were peaceful before they departed. No matter how they died, they were… They knew where they were going, so they were at peace. No fear at all, right? You all saw it, those deceased fellow practitioners. Do you know about this? (Yes.) Therefore, inner peace is the most important thing. Otherwise, we cannot find peace, not in this world. We don’t know when our karma will come, and we’ll have to pay it off. […]
But I’ll let you in on a secret. Those who come here and aren’t peaceful were expelled by Heaven. They were not good in Heaven, so they fell to this world. […]
We have to be responsible for ourselves; we have to help ourselves. It’s not that Master is strict, or that if no one sees you, then you can do whatever you want. You have to practice this kind of honesty. You need to behave in the same way, whether people are watching you or not. […] To be great, you have to do things right. That is true greatness. Greatness is not changing others’ words as you please. Greatness doesn’t mean you don’t listen to anyone. It’s too easy not to listen to people. Listening requires a lot of attention, correct? (Yes.) Your greatness, your excellence, is your humility. Great people are those who are humble. The greater a person is, the humbler he is.
