Royal Palaces of Abomey, Benin

The Royal Palaces of Abomey were home to 12 kings of the empire of Abomey from 1625 to 1900.As a group of monuments of great historical and cultural value, UNESCO inscribed these earthen buildings under the list of World Heritage Sites in 1985.
