It’s Not Too Late to Get Enlightenment, Questions and Answers, Part 5 of 5 Nov 26, 1994, Thailand

Actually, you are already liberated, just you don’t know. So, you need clearing, with the initiation and the meditation process, to clear your vision. Not only you are liberated, your deceased relatives, many generations, will also derive from your merit and be liberated as well. That’s guaranteed. But to become a Buddha, it takes maybe longer. Because you have forgotten that you are a Buddha for a long time now, it takes a long time to remember again. That’s why we need to meditate every day. Because the teacher is responsible for your liberation and will take you out of the transmigration after you leave this world.

Selection from the Holy Qur’an: Chapter 3, Surah Ali-Imran, Part 2 of 2

To Allah belongs everything in the Heavens and everything on Earth, and to Allah all events are referred. And obey Allah and the Messenger, that you may obtain mercy. And race towards forgiveness from your Lord, and a Garden as wide as the Heavens and the Earth, prepared for the righteous. Those who give in prosperity and adversity, and those who restrain anger, and those who forgive people. And those who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins. Allah loves the doers of good. Allah is your Master, and He is the Best of Helpers.

From Hinduism’s Holy Vedas: Hymns of the Samaveda, First Part, Book II, Chapters I and II

Hinduism is believed to be one of the oldest living religions on Earth, with origins tracing back to the ancient Vedic civilization in India. The earliest Hindu spiritual text, the Rig Veda, was compiled in approximately 900 B.C. Other sacred Hindu scriptures include the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Ramayana, among others. We now present an excerpt of Hinduism's sacred text, the Samaveda, First Part, Book II, Chapters 1 and II.

The Only Criminal is Ignorance, Part 1 of 3 May 28, 1999, Prague, Czech Republic

It is my privilege that God has ordered me to share this knowledge among our brothers and sisters on this planet. And I will do so until my last breath on Earth, just to show people how simple it is to recognize your greatness, how simple it is to make use of the treasure within ourselves, to get in touch with God and to live happily in the Heavenly kind of atmosphere while still continuing duties on this planet. Because only by knowing God we will stop all hatred and all wars, all misunderstandings between people. Only by knowing God we can dispel these physical illusions, which envelop us daily in our existence and make us feel weak, make us feel hopeless, make us feel ignorant and, therefore, succumb to all kinds of suffering.

Writings of Bahá’u’lláh: The Seven Valleys, Part 4 of 8

O My brother! A pure heart is as a mirror; cleanse it with the burnish of love and severance from all save God, that the true sun may shine therein and the eternal morning dawn. Then will thou clearly see the meaning of “Earth and Heaven cannot contain Me; what can alone contain Me is the heart of him that believeth in Me.” And thou will take up thy life in thy hand and with infinite longing cast before thy newly found Beloved. Whensoever the light of the revelation of the King of Oneness settleth upon the throne of the heart and soul, His radiance becometh visible in every limb and member.

From Buddhism’s Sacred Scripture: The Sutra of the Lotus of the Wonderful Dharma, Chapter 3, Part 8 of 8

But if there are those of keep capacities, wise and understanding, of much learning and strong memory, who seek the Buddha way… If you see a son of the Buddha observing the precepts, clean and spotless as a pure bright gem, seeking the Great Vehicle Sutra… If I described all the characteristics of those who seek the Buddha way, I could exhaust a kalpa and never be done. Persons of this type are capable of believing and understanding. Therefore for them you should preach the Lotus Sutra of the Wonderful Dharma.

The Holy Qur’an: Chapter 3, Surah Ali-lmra. Allah is Powerful over everything. On the Day when every soul finds all the good it has done presented. Allah is Kind towards the servants. Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. And as for those who believe and do good works, He will give them their rewards in full. Allah does not love the unjust. And let there be among you a community calling to virtue, and advocating righteousness, and deterring from evil. These are the successful.

“The Three Questions” - An Inspirational Short Story by Leo Tolstoy, Part 1 of 2

A certain king proclaimed throughout his realm that he would bestow a large reward on anyone who would teach him how to know the proper moment for every deed, how to know which were the most essential people, and how not to err in deciding which pursuits were of the greatest importance. Learned men began coming to the king. The answers were all different, therefore the king agreed with none of them and rewarded no one. In order to find the true answer to the questions, he decided to consult a hermit who was famous for his wisdom.

Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Book ”Secrets to Effortless Spiritual Practice,” Pages 174-199, Part 2 of 2

Always try to stay positive. Say positive things and do positive things as much as you can. Protect yourself, and then you create a wonderful house, a movable house, so that everywhere you go, you take Light, good energy, good vibrations. When we’re in the “winter of spiritual cultivation,” even if we make mistakes, regress in our practice, or lose faith, we should just forgive ourselves. If possible, we should quickly get some “tonics”! For example, we can attend retreats, go to see Master and meet initiates more often, go to group meditation more, read more of Master’s books or listen to Her tapes and so on.

From Euthydemus by Plato: Socrates on True Happiness

Them wisdom always makes men happy: for be wisdom no man would ever err, and therefore he must act rightly and succeed, or his wisdom would be wisdom no longer. Appears to be that the goods of which we spoke before are not to be regarded as goods in themselves, but the degree of good and evil in them depends on whether they are or are not under the guidance of knowledge: under the guidance of ignorance, they are greater evils than their opposites, inasmuch as they are more able to minister to the evil principle which rules them; and when under the guidance of wisdom and prudence, they are greater goods.

Perceive the Truth by Inner Wisdom, Part 1 of 5 April 21, 1993, Geneva, Switzerland

After we reach the Truth inside, we have both virtues and beauty. All that we like to cultivate for a great gentleman, we will find after we realize the Truth. And it’s nothing that we could describe about the Truth, except when we perceive it, we will be changed into oneness with this Truth. And then we will be living a life of Truth, beauty and virtue. The life of Jesus, the life of Buddha, the life of Lao Tzu and all the other great Masters since ancient times. Because within us, there is the Kingdom of God, there is God Hirmself, because God has made man in Hiers own image. Therefore, we have the almighty power.

“If thou be a man of communion and prayer, soar upon the wings of assistance from the holy ones, that thou mayest behold the mysteries of the Friend and attain the lights of the Beloved: ‘Verily, we are God’s, and to Him shall we return.’” With the ear of God he heareth; with the eye of God he beholdeth the mysteries of divine creation. He steppeth into the inner sanctuary of the Friend and, as an intimate, shareth the pavilion of the Well-Beloved. He looketh upon all things with the eye of Unity, and seeth the effulgent rays of the Sun of Truth shining from the dayspring of the Divine Essence upon all created things alike, and beholdeth the lights of Unity reflected upon all creation.

Leading All to Be Vegan Will Bring Immense Merits part 1 (1/2)

If any leader is vegetarian, they should be open about it and encourage everyone to be vegetarian, too. This way they will earn immense merit, and they can also protect this earth so that their own relatives, friends, and children can continue to live on this planet in a clean atmosphere. We don’t leave the Earth populated and full of toxic air for our children.

From the Nag Hammadi Holy Scriptures: Selection from the Gospel of Truth, Part 2 of 2

For he revealed it [His will] to bestow an acquaintance in harmony with all its emanations, that is to say, acquaintance with the Living Book, an acquaintance which at the end appeared to the Aeons (emanations of God) in the form of [passages of text from] it. When it is manifest, they speak: they are not places for use of the voice, nor are they mute texts for someone to read out and so think of emptiness; rather, they are texts of truth, which speak and know only themselves. And each text is a perfect truth ̶ ̶ like a book that is perfect and consists of texts written in unity, written by the Father for the Aeons (emanations of God): so that through its passages of text the Aeons (emanations of God) might become acquainted with the Father.

Selection from Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: Book I & II, Part 2 of 2

The pain-bearing obstructions are- ignorance, egoism, attachment, aversion, and clinging to life. Restraint (Yama), binding observance (Niyama), posture (Asana), regulation of breath (Pranayama), abstraction and sense-withdrawal (Pratya hara), concentration (Dharana), contemplation (Dhyana) and perfect meditative absorption (Samadhi) are the eight limbs of yoga. Of these, non-violence (Ahimsa), non-stealing (Asteya), continence (Brahmacharya) and non-possessiveness (Aparigraha) are the five forms of restraint (Yamas). These, unbroken by time, place, purpose, and caste, are (universal) great vows. Pratyahara, abstraction or dissociation, is the disjoining of the sense-organs from their respective objects, assuming, as it were, the nature of the mind itself. Thence comes supreme control of the senses.

Selection from Theosophy’s Sacred Teachings: “The Voice of the Silence,” Fragment II - The Two Paths, Part 2 of 2

Be humble, if thou would attain to Wisdom. Be humbler still, when Wisdom thou have mastered. Be like the Ocean which receives all streams and rivers. The Ocean’s might calm remains unmoved; it feels them not. Restrain by thy Divine thy lower Self. Restrain by the Eternal the Divine. Aye, great is he, who is the slayer of desire. Still greater he, in whom the Self Divine has slain the very knowledge of desire. Guard thou the Lower lest it soil the Higher. The way to final freedom is within thy “Self.” That way begins and ends outside of Self. Unpraised by men and humble is the mother of all Rivers, in Tirthika’s (Brahman ascetics) proud sight; empty the human form though filled with Amrita’s (immortality) sweet waters, in the sight of fools. In addition, the birth-place of the sacred rivers is the sacred land, and he who Wisdom has, is honored by all men.

Selection from “The Practice of the Presence of God: The Best Rule of Holy Life” by Brother Lawrence, Part 1 of 2

Having found in many books different methods of going to GOD, and multiple practices of the spiritual life, I thought this would serve rather to puzzle me, than facilitate what I sought after, which was nothing but how to become wholly GOD’S. This made me resolve to give the all for the All: so after having given myself wholly to GOD, to make all the satisfaction I could for my sins, I renounced, for the love of Him, everything that was not He; and I began to live as if there was none but He and I in the world.

So, on the occasion of Christmas celebration, I would really, sincerely wish you well. But above all, I wish you more enlightenment. I wish you more remembrance of the teachings of Jesus and of all the Masters. Because that is what religion is all about: the teaching of the Master.Hi! I hope you see me, people outside there. How are you? Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. I hope you can see me, all of you outside. My love to you, in the name of Jesus and in the name of God Almighty. It is Christmas again, one more year, so fast. And what a year we had. Anyway, it’s Christmas time and we should remember what Christmas is all about. It’s about our Lord Jesus who sacrificed everything for His disciples and for the world. There is a lot of Jesus’ teaching left behind. But we could also remember only some concentrated phrases that are very important for us, that we could use in our daily life. He said that, “Whatever I do, you can do better.” Why did the Lord say that? Yes, He healed the sick, cured the blind, fed the multitude. And most important is the compassion, the love that He conveyed to all His disciples, as well as the people who believed in Him at that time. That’s what makes Lord Jesus remembered even all these thousands of years, and we celebrate every year in His name. What did He say that we can do better? How can we do better? We thought Lord Jesus is the highest representative of God, of Heaven. How can we do better? Of course we can. We don’t have to be the doctor to heal the sick. We don’t have to have magic to cure the blind. What Jesus did is not just physical. He cured His disciples’ blindness, ignorance. These are the blindness that many of us have because we do not know God inside. Jesus didn’t just feed the multitude, did not just cure the blind physically, but He also elevated the spirit of His disciples and the people at that time, so that they could see God inside. Because He has told us that the Kingdom of God is at hand, the Kingdom of God is within you. That is another thing that needs some guidance and continuous contemplation in order to realize God. At the time of Jesus baptizing, people already could see the Kingdom of God, a glimpse of it. Nowadays we still can, if we have a good Guide, good Teacher, good Master, who knows how to help us to open the Kingdom of God for us to see. But that is something spiritual and it’s not easy to explain here in the physical language. So we’re just talking about the spirit of Christmas in a physical sense. We can heal the sick. We can cure the blind. We can feed the multitude. We don’t have to be a doctor to do that. We can help people by financial assistance, so that the person who needs can go to the doctor and let him/herself be cured of his blindness – nowadays we can – or his sickness, like, say, for example, the pandemic. We have tried our best. All the scientists and doctors have tried their best to find the cure and also the vaccination to prevent further sickness and death. We thank Heaven for that. And let’s hope these cures and this vaccination help our world, saving many, many lives, as many as possible. Thank You, God.Now, how do we feed the multitude? We feed the multitude by using our own financial resources to help those in need. Jesus could feed five hundred, five thousand. But we can feed even more than that, with modern technology as well as opportunity. Nowadays, we have so many, many convenient ways to live our lives, to earn money, and to help other people. All the money that we even use for … in war, for example, we could use it and feed the whole world.I don’t have that much money. I do what I can only. But if everyone does what he can, even as humbly as I do, the world will be a Heaven on Earth. No one would ever have to experience sickness or be lacking of anything; being hungry, cold, that no one takes care of. All the money we use to cure sickness, like pandemics, costs billions and billions. And all the money we have to use to mitigate the climate change, we could save them and also help the poor, help the hungry. Right now, millions of people already experience hunger everywhere in the world. Every five seconds, a child dies of hunger. And not to talk about children – adults, elderly, also die because of hunger. And we use our money for so many things which are not necessary. We could use that to help to feed the poor, feed the hungry. And the hungry multitude doesn’t even have to exist on our planet. We have plenty to feed everyone. We have enough money to feed the whole world if we don’t waste it on war, on animal raising, that causes climate change, that causes a lot of sickness and pandemics on our planet. And thus, we spend even more money on those just to amend the suffering, not to even prevent the sickness. This is a sad thing. We did not even have to prevent the sickness, if we did not raise the animals. We do not have to have hunger even, if we don’t use a large percentage of food to feed the animals in order to gain a few kilograms of meat. And not only that, we cause a lot of sickness because of meat and fish and eggs and dairy products that are not for human consumption. You see, it’s just like a cycle, endless cycle. We earn so much money or we earn with so much work and hardship, and we just waste it. We don’t even need animal products to survive. In our group, we eat only vegan food. No eggs, no milk, no meat, no fish. Nothing from the animals. And you don’t even have to wear fur to keep warm. This is not real fur. This is vegan fur. We make it in our company. And many companies nowadays, they also make vegan fur. No suffering to animals, no animal fur, nothing. And we live this way with a high conscience. We don’t have to always spend a lot of money or kill a lot of animals to survive. The spirit of Christmas is like that.Today, many people celebrate Christmas, inside their house or with their friends or with groups or by Zooming. Many people don’t. Many people cannot afford. I do not celebrate Christmas. I send things to let my team workers celebrate, but I myself don’t celebrate anything. I’m just here today to remind you of the spirit of Christmas. It’s not just all about ourselves, that we have a big party, chopping down millions of young trees, killing millions of animals, turkeys – the innocent ones. They wanted to live. They wanted to enjoy life. They wanted also to celebrate Christmas in their heart. But we just cut short their life, snuff the life out of them without thinking twice. I don’t want to cry now. I think about that. Think about that. We don’t have to kill the turkeys to celebrate Christ’s birthday. He never ate any animal product. He was vegetarian. He was from the Essene lineage and they have been vegetarian all the time. So, if we celebrate Christ’s birthday, Christmas, we should remember all this. His teaching is important. If we say we are a follower of Jesus, then we should remember the Lord’s core teaching – that is compassion, love for all beings. When the Lord carried the lame lamb that could not walk, He carried him. That’s just another symbol of His compassion and love to those who are meek and defenseless and innocent. And that’s the way we should do. Nowadays, for 2,000 plus years, we celebrated the Lord’s birthday, every Christmas, every year. But what do we do? What do we do with His teaching? We did not do much.We did not remember what the Lord was really teaching. We did not remember how He even sacrificed His own life because of love, because of compassion for others. What do we do? We still keep warring with each other, killing God’s children just for a piece of land, or for whatever reason. It’s never right. The Lord never taught killing. Any religious leader, Prophet, had never taught us any violence. So, on the occasion of Christmas celebration, I would really, sincerely wish you well. But above all, I wish you more enlightenment. I wish you more remembrance of the teachings of Jesus and of all the Masters. Because that is what religion is all about: the teaching of the Master. And we, the followers, should truly follow it, not just by letters, not just by reading it or chanting it, but by applying it, so that our world will become more worthy of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and of all the Masters’ sacrifices. If not, we really truly should not call ourselves human, because humans should have humane quality. If we call ourselves Christians, we should abstain from any killing, of any harm to other beings. If we say we follow other Prophets and Buddhas, Guru Nanak, or Jain Master, Lord Mahavira, or Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon Him, that even the Qur’an said, “You have to treat other creatures good, then God will treat you well.” I did not say the exact words, but it’s like that. And it says that we should be good guests on Earth. A good guest doesn’t kill the host, doesn’t kill any other guests on this planet. There is no religion’s doctrine that teaches us to kill others. And you all know that. It’s just that you must remember and must follow it and must apply it in everyday life.

From the Holy Bible: The Book of Isaiah, Excerpts from Chapters 60-66, Part 1 of 2

Isaiah, son of Amoz, is one of the most celebrated ancient Jewish prophets, believed by scholars to have been a vegetarian. The book of Isaiah tells us that God will restore justice and righteousness to the people of Israel. The day of that judgment is called “the day of the Lord,” as God’s compassion will take the form of a new Messianic King. Christians believe that this refers to the coming of The Worshipped Lord Jesus Christ, and that through Christ’s suffering, humankind will fully receive salvation. Thus, the Lord’s new and righteous kingdom on Earth is the glorious ideal depicted in the book of Prophet Isaiah.

Selection from the Book of Lieh Tzu: Chapter 1 - Heaven’s Gift, Part 1 of 2

Formerly the sages reduced Heaven and Earth to a system by means of the Yin and Yang. But if all that has shape was born from the Shapeless, from what were Heaven and Earth born? I answer: There was a Primal Simplicity, there was a Primal Commencement, there were Primal Beginnings, there was a primal Material. The Primal Simplicity preceded the appearance of the breath. The Primal Commencement was the beginning of the breath. The Primal Beginnings were the breath beginning to assume shape. The primal Material was the breath when it began to assume substance.
