The Apocryphon of John (vegetarian): From the Gnostic Nag Hammadi Library, Part 1 of 2

The Nag Hammadi Library is a collection of early Christian and Gnostic manuscripts, also called codices, discovered in 1945, near the Upper Egyptian town of Nag Hammadi. The general dating of the books varies from the 2nd to the 4th century. The collection includes 13 ancient books containing over 50 spiritual texts. Let us now read from Codex II, “The Apocryphon of John” from the Nag Hammadi Library. “‘He is the invisible Spirit, of Whom it is not right to think of Him as a god, or something similar. For He is more than a god, since there is nothing above Him, for no one lords it over Him. For He does not exist in something inferior to Him, since everything exists in Him. For it is He Who establishes Himself. He is eternal, since He does not need anything. For He is total perfection. He did not lack anything, that He might be completed by it; rather He is always completely perfect in Light. He is illimitable, since there is no one prior to Him to set limits to Him. He is unsearchable, since there exists no one prior to Him to examine Him. He is immeasurable, since there was no one prior to Him to measure Him. He is invisible, since no one saw Him. He is eternal, since He exists eternally. He is ineffable, since no one was able to comprehend Him to speak about Him. He is unnamable, since there is no one prior to Him to give Him a name. “‘How am I to speak with you about Him? His aeon is indestructible, at rest and existing in silence, reposing (and) being prior to everything. For He is the Head of all the aeons, and it is He Who gives them strength in His goodness. For we know not the ineffable things, and we do not understand what is immeasurable, except for Him Who came forth from Him, namely (from) the Father. For it is He who told it to us alone. For it is He who looks at Himself in His Light which surrounds Him, namely the Spring of the water of Life. And it is He Who gives to all the aeons and in every way, (and) Who gazes upon His image which He sees in the Spring of the Spirit. It is He Who puts His desire in His Water-light which is in the Spring of the pure Light-water which surrounds Him.’”

God’s Mercy and Truth is in Everything: From The Guide for the Perplexed by Maimonides (vegetarian), Part 2 of 2

God’s Mercy and Truth is in Everything: From The Guide for the Perplexed by Maimonides (vegetarian), Part 2 of 2

Let us now continue with a selection from Part 3, Chapter 12, from Rabbi Moses ben Maimon’s book entitled, “The Guide for the Perplexed.” “These words are immediately followed by the explanation that man himself is the author of this class of evils, ‘But man is born unto trouble.’ This class of evils originates in man’s vices, such as excessive desire for eating, drinking, and love; indulgence in these things in undue measure, or in improper manner, or partaking of bad food. This course brings diseases and afflictions upon body and soul alike.” “The error of the ignorant goes so far as to say that God’s power is insufficient, because He has given to this Universe the properties which they imagine cause these great evils, and which do not help all evil-disposed persons to obtain the evil which they seek, and to bring them to the aim of their desires, though these, as we have shown, are really without limit.” “The virtuous and wise, however, see and comprehend the wisdom of God displayed in the Universe. Thus, David says, ‘All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.’” “All the difficulties and troubles we meet in this respect, are due to the desire for superfluous things; when we seek unnecessary things, we have difficulty even in finding that which is indispensable. For the more we desire to have that which is superfluous, the more we meet with difficulties; our strength and possessions are spent in unnecessary things, and are wanting when required for that which is necessary. Observe how Nature proves the correctness of this assertion. The more necessary a thing is for living beings, the more easily it is found and the cheaper it is; the less necessary it is, the rarer and dearer it is.” “In these two ways you will see the mercy of God toward His creatures, how He has provided that which is required, in proper proportions, and treated all individual beings of the same species with perfect equality.”

God’s Mercy and Truth is in Everything: From The Guide for the Perplexed by Maimonides (vegetarian), Part 1 of 2

Maimonides, also known as HaRambam, or Rabbi Moses ben Maimon, was a notable medieval Jewish philosopher, astronomer, physician, and intellectual figure. Famous works by Maimonides include “Mishne Torah,” a commentary on the Talmud, and “The Guide for the Perplexed,” philosophical discussions regarding theological matters. Today, we will share the Rabbi Moses ben Maimon’s insightful guidance on the spiritual challenges one may face. “The Guide for the Perplexed” is a book of theology that holds logical explanations on a variety of topics. We will now read excerpts from Part 3, Chapters 11 and 12. “All the great evils which men cause to each other because of certain intentions, desires, opinions, or religious principles, are likewise due to non-existence, because they originate in ignorance, which is absence of wisdom.” “If men possessed wisdom, which stands in the same relation to the form of man as the sight to the eye, they would not cause any injury to themselves or to others; for the knowledge of Truth removes hatred and quarrels, and prevents mutual injuries.” “This state of society is promised to us by the prophet in the words: ‘And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb,’ etc.; ‘and the cow and the bear shall feed together,’ etc.; and ‘the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp,’ etc. The prophet also points out what will be the cause of this change; for he says that hatred, quarrel, and fighting will come to an end, because men will then have a true knowledge of God. ‘They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the Earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.’ Note it.” “For an ignorant man believes that the whole universe only exists for him; as if nothing else required any consideration. If, therefore, anything happens to him contrary to his expectation, he at once concludes that the whole universe is evil. If, however, he would take into consideration the whole universe, form an idea of it, and comprehend what a small portion he is of the Universe, he will find the truth. For it is clear that persons who have fallen into this widespread error as regards the multitude of evils in the world, do not find the evils among the angels, the spheres and stars, the elements, and that which is formed of them, namely, minerals and plants, or in the various species of living beings, but only in some individual instances of mankind.”

The Supreme Divine Nature, The Beginningless Beginning: Excerpts from “A Conversation Among Five Travelers Concerning Life’s True Happiness” by Hryhorii Skovoroda (vegetarian), Part 2 of 2

The Supreme Divine Nature, The Beginningless Beginning: Excerpts from “A Conversation Among Five Travelers Concerning Life’s True Happiness” by Hryhorii Skovoroda (vegetarian), Part 2 of 2

“Let us first seek out the spark of God’s truth within us, which, lighting up our darkness, will send us to the holy waters of Siloam to which the prophet summons us: ‘Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings...’ If the heart is filled up with a bitter sea of opinions, if a pit of evil has swallowed up the soul, what light can we hope for among the dark swarm of sorrows? What mirth and sweetness can we hope for where there is no light? What peace where there is neither life nor mirth? What life and peace if there is no God? What God without the spirit of truth and the spirit of dominion? What spirit of truth without unworldly thoughts and a pure heart?” “My friends, let us fully live out our lives and let our senseless days and minutes flow past. We take the trouble to get whatever is needful to the flux of our days; but our chief concern should be for the peace of our soul, that is, for its life, health, and salvation. What is the use of ruling over the universe if we lose our own soul? What will you find in the world so precious and profitable that you would venture to exchange your soul for it?” “In man the head of all things is the human heart. It is that which is most truly human in man: everything else is peripheral, as Jeremiah teaches: ‘Deep is the heart of man (above all things); it is man, and who can know it?’ Please, take note that the deep heart is man...” “You see that a man who has destroyed the peace of his heart has destroyed his head and root. Is he not just like a nut, the kernel of which has been eaten away by worms, so that it has no strength, only a shell? The Lord speaks to these impoverished people with such compassion in Isaiah: ‘Come ye near unto me, ye who have lost your hearts and are far from the truth.’” “This is alien and contrary to its living nature. Thought, like a traveler on the road, seeks its own likeness among the dead elements, and intensifying, rather than slaking its thirst by base diversions, it moves the more rapidly from corrupt material nature toward the Supreme Divine nature, the beginningless beginning or principle which is akin to it, so that having been purified by its radiance and by the flame of its secret vision, it may free itself from its bodily earth and earthly body.”

The Supreme Divine Nature, The Beginningless Beginning: Excerpts from “A Conversation Among Five Travelers Concerning Life’s True Happiness” by Hryhorii Skovoroda (vegetarian), Part 1 of 2

Hryhorii Skovoroda was an 18th century philosopher, poet, and composer of religious music. A number of his writings can be found in his songs, several of which have been adapted to Ukrainian folk music. Skovoroda’s work contributed to the culture of both Russia and Ukraine. In recognition of his works and numerous contributions, Hryhorii Skovoroda’s portrait was printed on the second largest banknote in circulation in Ukraine, the 500-hryvnia note. We now share with you excerpts from his writings in “A Conversation Among Five Travelers Concerning Life’s True Happiness.” The Supreme Divine Nature, The Beginningless Beginning. “I humbly beg you to listen to this fable. Five travelers, guided by their guardian angel, came to the Kingdom of Peace and Love. Melchizedek, the king of this land, was in no way like other kings. There was nothing perishable in his kingdom, everything was eternal and pleasant down to the last hair, and his laws were wholly opposed to tyranny. A beautiful and shining arch marked the boundary of this blessed land, and on it was written: ‘The Primordial World.’” “Then they were led to the King himself. ‘I know your complaint before you make your petition,’ said the King of Peace. ‘In my realm there is neither sickness nor sorrow nor lamentation. You yourselves have brought this sorrow with you from the alien, heathen lands which are hostile to my land.’ Then He commanded his angels to take them away to the house of healing. There they took emetics for six days; on the seventh they were fully cured of their ills. Instead of sorrow, there was written on one heart, ‘Thy will be done’; on another, ‘Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright thy judgments’; on a third, ‘Abraham believed in the Lord’; on a fourth, ‘I will praise thee forever’; on a fifth, ‘In everything give thanks.’” “Only in this house of healing can you find remedies to cleanse your heart of malicious and cruel enemies, of whom it is written: ‘A man’s enemies are the men of his own house.’ Your enemies are your own opinions, which have established their reign in your heart, constantly tormenting it; they murmur against God, slander and oppose Him, continually disparage the order that governs the world and attempt to restore the most ancient laws.”

True Monk: Selections from Jainism's Holy Sutrakritanga Sutra, Book II, Lecture 1 – The Lotus, Part 2 of 2

“A monk who does not act, nor kill, who is free from wrath, pride, deceit, and greed, who is calm and happy, should not entertain the following wish: May I, after my departure from this world, by dint of my intellect, knowledge, memory, learning, or of the performance of austerities, religious duties, chastity, or of this habit to eat no more than is necessary to sustain life, become a god at whose command are all objects of pleasure, or a perfected saint who is exempt from pain and misery. (Through his austerities) he may obtain his object, or he may not obtain it. A monk should not be infatuated with sounds, colors, smells, tastes, and feelings of touch; he should abstain from wrath, pride, deceit, and greed, from love, hate, quarrel, calumny, reviling of others, aversion to control and delight in sensual things, deceit and untruth, and the sin of wrong belief. In this way a monk ceases to acquire gross karma, controls himself, and abstains from sins. He does not kill movable or immovable beings, nor has them killed by another person, nor does he consent to another’s killing them. In this way a monk ceases to acquire gross karma, controls himself, and abstains from sins. He does not acquire sentient or senseless objects of pleasure, nor has them acquired by another person, nor does he consent to another’s acquiring them.” “A monk who knows the proper measure in all things travelling in one direction or other, should teach, explain, and praise the Law (spiritual precepts), preach it unto those who exert themselves well, and to those who do not, to all who come to listen. He should preach to them indifference for the peace of mind, cessation of passion, Nirvana, purity, simplicity, humility, freedom from bonds. He should preach the Law which prohibits to kill any living being, after having well considered it. When a monk preaches the Law (spiritual precepts), he should preach it not for the sake of food, drink, clothes, resting-place, or lodging, nor for any objects of pleasure; but he should preach the Law indefatigably, for no other motive than the annihilation of karma. Those heroes of faith who are instructed in the Law (spiritual precepts), by such a monk and exert themselves well, are possessed of all virtues, abstain from all sins, cease from all passions, conduct themselves well in every way, and reach final beatitude.”

True Monk: Selections from Jainism's Holy Sutrakritanga Sutra, Book II, Lecture 1 – The Lotus, Part 1 of 2

One of the oldest religions in the world is Jainism, traditionally known as Jain Dharma. Originating from ancient India, this philosophy centers around concepts such as right perception, right knowledge, and right conduct in the attainment of moksha, or realization of the soul’s true nature. Lord Mahavira, who is considered to be the last Tirthankara, was born around the 5-6th century BC,

Leaves of Morya’s Garden: Spiritual Guidance Recorded by Nicholas and Helena Roerich (vegetarians), Part 2 of 2

We will now continue with the Venerated Master Morya’s profound and uplifting messages given to his disciples, and through them, to the world. “I rejoice in the smile undimmed by approaching fate. I shall grant the power to create good not with money but with spirit. Full of travail is your life, but vast are the depths of your happiness in the future victory of the spirit. Banish anger, and the path to Us will be easier. Not wrath, but ardent rapture creates. Be imperturbable — your illusions damage your health, but if you have faith in Me, know that you are guarded by the Care and Shield of Morya. Morya is aware of your hardships; a steep ascent is always difficult. To overcome fate requires fortitude. Be not downcast, for you have many times crossed these rapids.” “Be not dismayed at the Teacher’s criticisms. Pupils should rejoice at every message. Contemplate the spiritual guidance of One Teacher. Your spirit presses onward; At the Gates I will await you. My Breath shall warm your hands, and I will guide you along the mountain path to the Temple. Love Me and your power will be multiplied and your strength doubled. Your spirit transports your body beyond the Earth. You must rejoice in the ascension through pure teachings. There is no love greater than love.” “Naught occurs by accident. My Power is with you. We can change Our appearance. Through faith increase your strength.” “Love Me — your Spiritual Teacher. Your destiny is to bring the inextinguishable Light to ardent hearts. Realize the joy of fighting for My Cause. Easy is destruction, but you must build wisely. Being able to help is a great happiness.” “In the Universe all things are but a reflection of the Divine, and in each spark of light the Divine Energy is at play. Light unto all of you!” “Hearken to the Celestial Song, and when on the summits of the mountains pine not for the flowers in the valley. I rejoice in your striving for creation. Miracles are created in life amidst action and in tensed harmony. Dreams are realized not in fairy tales but through happy communion with the Ways of the Blessed Ones. The Teacher is near you at every moment of your creative labor. Learn — and teach.”

Leaves of Morya’s Garden: Spiritual Guidance Recorded by Nicholas and Helena Roerich (vegetarians), Part 1 of 2

The esteemed mystical and philosophical writers Nicholas and Helena Roerich are two of the most influential spiritual thought leaders from Russia, recognized for founding the doctrine of Agni Yoga, also known as Living Ethics. Traveling extensively throughout Asia to deepen their spiritual studies, the Roerichs eventually met their Master in Darjeeling, India. The ascended Venerated Master Morya, also known as El Morya, is a Master of the Great White Brotherhood, an order of ascended Masters and Their incarnated disciples, one of whom was Helena Blavatsky. Today, we will read some of the lovingly dictated messages of Master Morya, as written down by his disciples, in the book “Leaves of Morya’s Garden.” “The miracle of Beauty in the adornment of our daily lives will exalt mankind. Raise high your light. Illumine the beauties of My Temple. Teach the Joy of Beauty. Teach the Happiness of Wisdom. Teach the Bliss of Love. Teach the Glory of Unity with God. I will grant you the power and fleetness of Mercury. Go forward without doubt, without fear, without turning back.” “Love and striving work miracles in life. We are awakening your energy for new thoughts, which are needed for transmutation, and for the work of thought in life. You must find the resources to create a new life. We send you thoughts — sharpen them without violating Karma.” “I reveal to you the profundity of Ramakrishna’s simple teachings. We, all together, implement the Will of the Creator. Your strength grows through prana.” “I will grant you the power to lead souls to God. I will endow you with the gift of bringing joy to others. Teach the manifestation of Morya. Teach — I will help you.” “We rejoice, O Lord, to offer to Thee our garden. Depart not, O Manifested Lord. Leave not our garden. With stars is Thy Path adorned. By them do we find Thy Way. We shall follow Thee, O Lord. Should the sun’s morning rays banish Thy starry signs, Then will we invoke the aid of storm and whirlwind to obscure its rays. Of what use the sun, if it banish Thy starry tokens?”

Love and Desire: From The Sanctuary of Self - Rosicrucian Order Library, Part 2 of 2

Love and Desire: From The Sanctuary of Self - Rosicrucian Order Library, Part 2 of 2

Today, we will continue with Frater Ralph M. Lewis’s “The Sanctuary of Self,” and the chapter “Love and Desire,” in Part One of his book entitled, “The Mysteries.” “There are also the intellectual loves, the desires of the mind. The mind, the active intelligence, as we know, can establish ends, can aspire to purposes. These aspirations are mental ideals.” “Each such intellectual ideal, though it satisfies the intellectual love in part, impels the love to create still greater ones which bring increasing intellectual satisfaction. Whereas physical love, if indulged too frequently, may become satiated, intellectual loves ever increase the enjoyment they provide the mind of man. The ideals of the intellectual nature of man are knowledge and accomplishment. The intellect must become married to these ideals if it is to experience normalcy, regardless of what loves and gratifications man may have physically.” “What do the Rosicrucians say of love? From a Rosicrucian viewpoint, a rational approach to love is necessary. They realize, of course, that love is not merely an intellectual experience; but, on the other hand, they also realize that it is essential to understand the causes of love, so as to be able to produce the most lasting effect. First, they say that basically, all love is desire. It is a yearning or an appetite, if you will, for that which brings us pleasure. No one has ever loved that which brings pain, suffering, misfortune, or torment. Consequently, Rosicrucians contend that love is the desire for harmony. However, love of that which would be harmonious only to the physical senses, would leave certain other loves unrequited. The love of the intellect for the realization of its ideals would be neglected. The love of the emotional self would be forgotten, leaving it torn with fears, perhaps. The love of the spiritual self to express its sentiments psychically would also be submerged, if we were to concentrate on a love which brings harmony to the physical senses alone. Only as we experience the harmony of our whole being, all aspects of ourselves, do we experience absolute love, complete satisfaction. This absolute love is found in the health of the body and in its desire to maintain itself. It consists also of the love to exercise the creative powers of the mind and the love to express the spiritual values, such as compassion and self-sacrifice. The unity of these three loves, then, results in that great Rosicrucian ideal, Peace Profound.”

Love and Desire: From The Sanctuary of Self - Rosicrucian Order Library, Part 1 of 2

Love and Desire: From The Sanctuary of Self - Rosicrucian Order Library, Part 1 of 2

The Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis, also known as the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, is a worldwide cultural, educational, and philosophical organization that is perpetuating the profound and practical teachings of the Rosicrucians. The Rosicrucian library is a source of spiritual wisdom and insight that includes the important writings by the respected imperators of the Order such as Dr. Harvey Spencer Lewis, Ralph M. Lewis, and Christian Bernard. Now, we will read from chapter IV, “Love and Desire,” from Part One - “The Mysteries,” in Frater Ralph M. Lewis’s book, “The Sanctuary of Self.” “Love is perhaps the most perplexing to mankind of all his inner experiences, and yet it is one had by every individual to some extent. Love is not a product of the It, is not an intellectual achievement, but an emotional, psychic one had by the self. Because it is such, love has been idealized by the poets and bards to such an extent that most persons believe that it is something to be left to a chance experience, or to be mysteriously attained without formula or method.” “The physical nature of man is one aspect of his generally accepted triune being. There are factors which are essential to it, such as food, drink, shelter, and sleep. When there is a deficiency of them, there is unbalance. The plenitude or fullness of man’s physical nature is its normal state. This normalcy is accompanied by the sensation of gratification, a kind of pleasure which we know as happiness. When there is a deficiency, a lack of that upon which man’s physical being depends, we become conscious of an irritability or of a disharmony. This disharmony engenders desire.” “Each of our objective or receptor senses has an ideal or a quality which is sought after.” “Each sense has a corresponding quality or beauty which is desired. Anything which will bring pleasure or gratification to a sense is by another name beautiful to it.” “Desire, then, is the urge to find the beautiful or its equivalent. It is the seeking out of that thing or condition which will satisfy that nature which the desire serves.” “Man must realize, however, that the end of life is not merely the satisfaction of the physical desires. To pursue these physical loves alone leaves unsatisfied the desires of the other natures. It keeps man continually in distress.”

The Reunion of Souls: Gathering with Association Members after the Lecture, Part 9 of 11

You know the nature of the soul is not that “I am here and I have one soul in here” – it’s not like that! My soul is bigger than just in here. It might be all over here, it might be all me, but it looks different. I know, I know... It’s not like, OK, “God is one and everybody is one with God” – it’s not in that sense. It’s in the sense that one individual can have a great soul that encompasses many so-called bodies. So we can happen to identify, just like each other.(Can You please teach me how to love?)I can’t, but you can teach yourself by going in the Ocean of Love, which you are, by remembering it, by going back into it, swimming in it every day, saturating yourself with blessings from Heaven, beloved by God, feel loved by our Father, then you will be loving automatically. I can’t teach you, not even in a thousand years, because you are love incarnated – you are already love. No one can teach you. You just awaken, remember, walk the way you should be as a loving being, as a representative of God, then you will know love. (This is in three parts. What is a noble idea? What should we do continuously in order to fulfill the noble idea in our mind? And then in order to work in a big company and make lots of money, is this not a noble idea?)Oh, it is. It depends on what kind of company and depends on what you do with the money you earn. The noble idea is to know God. That’s the noblest idea. And everything else follows. It’s OK to earn money. You have to take care of this temple. Take care of God inside. And you have to take care of your friends, your family, your wife, your kids. It is a noble idea to earn money, take care of your loved ones, and “by the way” knowing God. If just earning money to take care of this physical body and their physical body, it’s not enough, that’s all. Have to know God and work at the same time. I am knowing God, I’m working, earning money too. I use the money in different ways, and I am very happy with it. Earning money is good, very noble. I’m proud of my money because a lot of people need it. I am always happy when I can give somebody something. It’s a very noble feeling.(If a person who, in a previous life, has done some bad things, what should he do to liberate in this life, and where can he liberate to, and for how long?)The only thing you should do is just know yourself. Doesn’t matter how bad you have been in the past, it doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter how long this hall has been dark, tonight they just lit the light and everything is brilliant again, even if it has been dark here for 300 years. It doesn’t matter at all. Get enlightened and everything else is clear. (Why is God so hidden, so hard to realize or hard to find?)Hes is not! My God! Hes is dying to come out to shake hands with you! It’s just you don’t look for Hirm. Quiet yourself, like 10 minutes, 20 minutes, half an hour, one hour, two hours, a day, and then Hes appears, immediately. Just look into where God is and don’t look into the world. Meditation means we retire from the world for a while. It doesn’t mean go into the Himalayas, but retire inside, forget the world, forget every trouble for a while and then remember God, then God will come.(How do we know that we are one? How do we know we are complete when we give so much and ask for nothing more but true acceptance? Is this a sign of not knowing oneself?)We only know we are one when we are enlightened. Anything else nobody can explain to us. Once we meditate, we’re inside the spiritual experience, we will see that, just like I see you, that we are one.Yes, honey? Finished? Cool! (All finished.) Yes! Good! Thank you so much for your love and your patience! (Thank You!) You are a wonderful audience! You can take some fruit if you like to. You’ve been sitting so long, maybe you feel tired and dry. They’re all yours! Thank you and God bless you! God already does!Did I forget something? Do you want to come up and get it? Do you want to come and get it? Here! Oh my God, so many! Come, come! Here. There you go. Fruit, this is different. Apples. Here. Do you want some?(If anyone is interested in learning any of the two meditation techniques taught free of charge by the Supreme Master Ching Hai, would you please make your way now to the foyer where the working staff are most happy to guide you through to the registration area.)Quick, quick, bring. Here, brother. Banana. Share. Share. Take the whole thing, brother. OK, just one. Wait, wait. Keep fighting with me, the banana even. Here, baby. Oops! Catch! Catch! Use your hands and wisdom, whatever. Here, baby! Back, yes! Two hands. Two hands is easier. Here, for you. Give this to the lady. Here you are. I can’t give to all, OK? Just symbolic, all right? Go up and get it yourself. Here. The kid. Here, darling. Catch! Here! Sorry. Catch, whoever can. Oops, sorry. Oh, that’s good! Lady, here. Here. Let her, let her. Here, brother. I think I just… (Thank You.) Here. Here. Good! Hey, brother! Wow! One more? (…fell over.) Oh, man. Mother here, here. Here. Mother here, come. Hold your hands up. For you. No, for her. Hold your hands. Here, here. OK. Let her, let her. OK. Wait, wait. Here.Cool. Good. This is fun when you get one, you know? (Yes.) It’s not about apple, it’s if you are lucky. Here! Oh, sorry. Here, darling. Here. Here is for you. Yes. I’m sorry I couldn’t reach everybody. Yeah, here, here, here. Yes! Oh, again! (I tried my best.) Oh, again! Yes!Give it to... They’re all yours. Again? It’s in here, not in here. Brother. And you. Wow, my God, that’s professional! Ooh, he’s good. Here. You guys, all yours, OK? Here! One more chance. Good. See you after. I’ll come back here. What is that?Money’s all the groups of people? (Yes.) What people do for money, you don’t think like that because it’s a wrong conception. Actually, we should not need money, you’re right. But just in this society, it’s already established by money. So, we have to earn money to use it to exchange for something more loving, that’s all. Otherwise money is no need. In a higher society, they just exchange. Like you make potatoes and I make apples, and we exchange. That’s the best way. But I can’t change the world in two minutes. I work with it, so that it’s much more comfort. Oh, sure, honey. Take care. OK. I love you.(Thank You. Really, really lovely to meet You here again.) (We all love You.) (Ten years ago.) Ten years ago? You still look the same. (Yes.) (Two years ago, I read all Your books. I’m really lucky.) Oh, yeah? (Yes.) OK. (Thank You, Master. My mom sent me all Your books in Australia.) Oh, really. (I’m so pleased to see You again. I’m so happy! And I told my mother-in-law, that couldn’t make it tonight, I’ll take that home for her,) OK, yes. (85 years old.) Give my love. Give my love. OK? (And all the best for Your journey.) Thank you, thank you. I’ll come back. This way or that way? I’ll come back for the initiation. I’ll come back soon. I have to leave so that they can come here. (Yes.) OK, guys. (See You later.) See you. See you. (Waiting for You.) I’m really grateful for your love and your blessing. The people behind there don’t have. Bring it to them. See you. I’m going. Bye. (Can I have one?)You guys! You want to sit here with me? Come here. Yes. Sit anywhere. You look like a monk! Baby, come here! Here, you want some cake for your mother? OK, then sit there if you want. So cute! So nice of kids to do this, so nice!Later we share, yes? (Yes!) We share all these, yes? (Yes!) Make it dry and hang it there, yeah? Some people put them in tea. I don’t recommend it because some flowers I don’t know if it’s safe... Thank you darling! ...you can take that fan in here. Boy! Sit if you want, yeah! Take the flowers and give... put it over here, put it here! You can help yourselves to the candies here if you want. Thank you! Wow! Beautiful... oh my God! Thank you so much! Thank you! I am sorry, guys, if you didn’t come to the stage, but here is fine, too! Yes! Leave it there! Let me blow something cool, cool, cool... He likes it. Oh yeah! He takes the whooh....How come you are so good? You know, why you are so good? Because you are me! Yes! We get on fabulously well because we are one! Thanks! So we can happen to identify, just like each other. Just like sometimes we have two persons, but they think exactly the same thing at the same moment. That is because that is one soul, not because they are one with God or they are one with each other, but they are one soul, just like twins, you see. They’re like soul mates, something like that. But soul mates don’t necessarily mean only one; means a lot, a lot of them... Can be a lot, because some great souls, they encompass a lot, a lot of other beings for their own purposes. Therefore, we feel like brothers and sisters, we feel like one. Sometimes you feel very good with your sister or your brother, your mother, your father, because that’s you. You make it become family, but it’s only one, one soul as many individuals. Understand? No? No. That’s all right. But that’s why, sometimes we say, “I have affinity with that person,” or “she is my soul mate,” “he is my soul mate,” because it’s you, it is really you! I mean, that’s your individual soul group in one soul, see what I mean?Apart from that, we are one with God and one with everybody else. We have also individual souls which can house many... big group of people as just one soul, but it looks different. No? You don’t understand? Never mind! It’s OK! You do understand? Yes! So that’s why sometimes we feel so good with a group of people. The more we’re with them, the more we feel strengthened, because we’re at home with ourselves; we are together, we’re pieced together, you see? No wonder we work so well. Can you imagine, you are me? But how come I am the only beautiful one in here? Don’t tell anybody! I am very humble. I love you so much! (We love You too!) Ah, if I don’t come see you, it’s not because I don’t love you, Ok? Yeah! But also because I don’t feel the separation. Maybe you do. Sometimes, I do miss you a lot. Some people, especially some people, if I’ve known a long time, or even like one of the residents died or something, I know I can see her anytime, but it’s different. You see what I mean? It’s different, like I cannot keep calling her, “Come on down here and visit me!” It’s not fair. But when we’re physically together, we can. See what I mean? And sometimes... So nice, so nice people that I also want to stay there with them forever. Just like, for example now, I invite some representatives, some contact persons to my room and we share some food, eat together – they eat together, I share the food and they eat together – and it’s just so nice; feels like family and feels like they are so good. I also love to be around good people, it makes you feel good, too. It makes you feel life is worth living and everything you do is really worthwhile. It’s really, really nice. So I also did not want them to leave and I also did not want to leave New Zealand; I just get sentimental like that. And perhaps you do feel like that when we are not together, and in some moments like that, I understand how you feel, but otherwise, most of the time I don’t feel the separateness between us at all, and I do not feel that the world needs me even. I’ve told you that many times, but it’s difficult for you to understand.

The Reunion of Souls: Questions and Answers, Part 8 of 11

Meditation doesn’t change the world, it changes you, and then, if everyone changes themselves, the world becomes peaceful. We only make war because we are not peaceful ourselves, because we could not know the person next to us is God, we could not realize that we are God and we could not realize that the one we kill, we shoot, we torture, is also God, and that’s why the world is

There is no person as God; everything is God. We are a part of the whole, and yet the part that makes the whole. So God is the Creator, you see? Hes can make Hirmself into many, many things.(How do the real spiritual experiences in meditation differ from my own fantasies, and visions created by my imagination?) It could be

Perek Shira - Singing Praises to the Creator: From “In Front of the Blind” by the Reverend Rabbi Asa Keisar (vegan), Part 2 of 2

Today, we will continue our reading of the Reverend Rabbi Keisar’s book “In Front of the Blind,” an excerpt from chapter “The Purpose of Animals.” “The Whale says: ‘Give thanks to Hashem (God) for He is good, His kindness endures forever.’ The Fish say: ‘The voice of Hashem is upon the waters, The God of glory thunders; Hashem is upon a multitude of waters.’” “The Sheep and Goats say: ‘Who is like You among the mighty ones, Hashem, who is like You, adorned in holiness, awesome in praise, worker of wonders!’” “The Cattle say: ‘Rejoice unto God, our strength, applaud the God of Jacob!’ The Swine say: ‘Hashem is good to the upright and the straight of heart.’” “The Camel says: ‘Hashem roars from upon high and sounds His voice from His holy Abode, and roars His agony about His Temple.’” “The Horse says: ‘Behold, as the eyes of the servants to their master’s hand, as the eyes of a maid to her mistress’s hand, so are our eyes to Hashem our God until He will favor us.’” “The Donkey says: ‘To You, Hashem, is the greatness and the might and the triumph and the glory for everything in Heaven and Earth is Yours; To You, Hashem, is the monarchy and the sovereignty over every leader.’” “In the book of Kings 2 it tells how the army of Sennacherib surrounded Jerusalem in the days of King Hezekiah. 180,000 of Sennacherib’s soldiers died when they came to fight against the nation of Israel and that which caused their death was the song of animals. As it is said, Rabbi Yitzchak Nafcha says: ‘He revealed ears for them and they hear the songs from the mouths of the creatures and they died.’” “Radak: ‘This refers to Isaiah’s prophecy ‘And a wolf shall live with a lamb,’ and that is discussed there.’” “‘And a wolf shall live with a lamb, and a leopard shall lie with a kid; and a calf and a lion cub and a fatling [shall lie] together, and a small child shall lead them. And a cow and a bear shall graze together, their children shall lie; and a lion, like cattle, shall eat straw. And an infant shall play over the hole of an old snake and over the eyeball of an adder, a weaned child shall stretch forth his hand. They shall neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mount, for the land shall be full of knowledge of the Lord as water covers the seabed.’”

Selections from “The World’s Advance Thought” – a Periodical by Lucy A. Mallory (vegetarian): The New Dispensation, Part 2 of 2

“Whatever distracts the attention of men from respect and kindness to any form of life; whatever causes them to ignorantly maltreat and despise any form of life; what causes them to praise and glorify a God of Mystery, while ignoring the actual, living, breathing God of Life in all and through all that is and lives, is a detriment to the progress and unfoldment of humanity in the realization of Infinite Intelligence, Infinite Love, Infinite Wisdom and Infinite Harmony.” “Conscious life should be the fragrance of Love and the beauty of Wisdom. Life thus realized begems the pathway of man with the never-dying blossoms of Peace, Happiness, Health, Joy and Prosperity.” “Not with sound of many thunders, Not with miracles and wonders, Would I herald forth my coming from the peaceful Spirit-Shore; But in God’s own Love descending, With your aspirations blending, I would teach you of the future, that you watch and weep no more. God is God from the creation; Truth alone is man’s salvation: But the God that now you worship soon shall be your God no more; For the soul in its unfolding Evermore its thought remoulding, Learns more truly, in its progress how to love and to adore. Evil is of Good twin brother, Born of God, and of none other: And though Truth seems slain of error, through the ills that men deplore, Yet still nearer to Perfection, She shall know a Resurrection, Passing on from ceaseless Glory, unto Glory evermore!” “Ask, and you shall receive. Heaven and hell are both home-made. Heaven is materialized Happiness— What is Love? Yourself is the eternal problem you are solving. Be diligent in Good-Doing, Be absent when ill manifests. The worst mixed problem will work itself out right in time. If you think the Good, some Good will always be in waiting for you. The one who makes the best of all difficulties, gets the best time. Peace of mind keeps us in touch with the Holy Angels of the Lord. All the Good and evil in the world is summed up in the words, Love and hate.” “Make your life a constant benediction to all, for if you don’t— this is the reason why life to you is a curse, instead of blessings. Listen for the Voice from the Silence and you will need no other adviser, and your way will be through pleasant places; the Lord will bless you!”

Selections from “The World’s Advance Thought” – a Periodical by Lucy A. Mallory (vegetarian): The New Dispensation, Part 1 of 2

“The Spirited Monthly Newspaper – The World’s Advance Thought” was a monthly periodical founded by Lucy A. Mallory in 1886. The paper’s motto was “Love is the way, the truth, and the life.” Mrs. Lucy Mallory contributed her own spiritual writings as well as the inspired contributions of others. She served as writer, editor and publisher of the paper, which had an international readership that included renowned Russian author and vegetarian, Leo Tolstoy. Through this uplifting publication, Lucy Mallory highlighted themes that emphasized the “inner light” of the human being. She also advocated vegetarianism for its loving kindness to other beings. We now share with you selections from the periodical – “The World’s Advance Thought.” “The thought planted in your mind is a seed, and it will grow there and bear fruit of the same kind as the seed you planted. Good thought seeds bear fruit that give good. ‘As ye sow, so shall ye reap.’ Constructive planting is reaping its harvest. Destructive sowing is reaping its harvest. The present-day man has come to his limit. Now comes a Superior Being who will bring the whole world into Divine Union. The Mighty Power of Love shall work its Wonders, and Peace - Divine Peace - shall reign! Spiritualism has rooted now, and will soon begin to bear Spiritual Fruit. The public memory is now going to be long on Good, and short on bad.” “The human soul’s demand for truth being eternally continuous, and the supply being eternally inexhaustible, it is impossible to formulate abiding religious systems of perfection. While a religious system, as a moral influence, may be above the spiritual thought of the mass of its faithful followers, the spiritual thought of individuals will ever be above the most advanced religious system. Creeds, in their highest forms and purest conditions, cannot from the very nature of things dispense and conserve the highest spiritual truth; they express past conceptions, and must, therefore, ever be behind the most advanced spiritual thought.” “The Light that lights every one that comes into the world, and all intelligences above and below, as well as in the degree of the individual, is spiritual consciousness. The season has its degree, as has the planet, and the object of the experiences, each and all, is to expand and extend the consciousness.”
