Selection from the Sangha of Bhikkhu Buddhist Association’s Book of Truth, Part 1 of 2

In the 1950s, a religion suddenly appeared in South Âu Lḁc that has its origin in Buddhism. The external form of this religion is similar to the Hinayana discipline - practitioner don a yellow robe and carry an alms bowl. They only eat once a day at noon in order to save time for studying and spiritual practice. This ascetic discipline attracted the interest of many people who came for initiation. Gradually, it developed into today’s Aulacese (Vietnamese) Sangha of Bhikkhu Buddhist Association. The founder of this religion is a young monk whose dharma name is Minh Đăng Quang. He was born as Nguyễn Thành Dḁt in 1923 in Vῑnh Long, South Âu Lḁc (Vietnam). At 15, he became a renunciate to seek the Truth.

Selection from the Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment: Chapter 2, Part 2 of 2

Selection from the Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment: Chapter 2, Part 2 of 2

Today we would like to share with you the wisdom of Tsongkhapa - having relied upon an excellent protector, solidify your certainty about the way that all the scriptures are causal factors for one person to become a Buddha. There are those who conclude that any classic text should be considered only an explanatory teaching, therefore lacking the key points for practice. They hold that there are separate personal instructions that teach the core meanings that are the heart of practice. They then imagine that there are two separate forms. Know that this attitude precludes the development of great respect for the stainless sutras and tantras as well as the flawless treatises that comment on their intent.

Selection from the Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment: Chapter 2, Part 1 of 2

We would like to share with you the wisdom of Tsongkhapa. The Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment is superior to other systems. Showing the greatness of the teaching in order to engender respect for the instructions. The greatness of the teaching is indicated by four qualities, it elicits in the student: 1. Knowing that all of the teachings are free of contradiction. 2. Coming to understand that all of the scriptures are instructions for practice. 3. Easily finding the Conqueror’s intent. 4. Automatically refraining from great wrongdoing. Here to know that all the teachings are free of contradiction means to understand that they are the path by which one person becomes a Buddha. The path of the perfections is like the center post for the path that leads to Buddhahood. Hence, it is unsuitable to cast it aside.

The Mercy of God: Questions and Answers, Part 4 of 4, Nov. 27, 1999

Must one ask for protection when one is busy meditating? Do we have free will or is everything predestined? Will Tai Chi help me reach a higher level of consciousness as a moving meditation? How does spiritual well-being or mental well-being relate or improve people’s health who have permanent illnesses? Can a person see God directly in meditation? I believe I have bad karma. How do I get rid of it? As an atheist, what are the benefits of Quan Yin to me? Who or what is Quan Yin? How do drugs affect one’s spiritual growth?

The Mercy of God: Questions and Answers, Part 3 of 4, Nov. 27, 1999

God is all merciful and compassionate. How do You explain earthquakes, tidal waves, etc.? Your views on reincarnation, worship of ancestors, its benefits, the law of karma, cause and effect, and what do You say is the common thread that could unite all religions? How do we rid ourselves of our ego? Is there such a thing as evil spirits? How can I be and lead a spiritual life coming from a very formal religious Islamic background? How do I know what God expects of me, so as for me to practice and master those requirements? Can Master please explain to me who or what is the source of Her inspiration?

The Mercy of God, Part 2 of 4, Nov. 27, 1999

Death should be celebrated, not mourned because that is our final liberation. We will know everything. We will be into everything. We will be everywhere in a fraction of a second. We will have everything that we wish for come true immediately. But in order to prepare for a higher reward than just this, we should learn the art of mastery of our own destiny, of our own future, create our own Heaven, prepare our own future. Because we are the master. We are the children of the Ocean of Love, of God. We have dignity; we should walk like a God, we should act like a God, we should think like a God.

The Mercy of God, Part 1 of 4 Nov. 27, 1999

In the Bible, it is mentioned that “Forsake the flesh for the spirit. Learn to die, so that you will begin to live.” Because we are the essence of God, we have God power within us, whether we are aware of it not. So, our thought is practically very, very powerful. Free ourselves, we have to reacquaint ourselves again with the true teaching of all the Masters since ancient times. That teaching is God or Buddha, or Allah, is ever merciful. And we are the children of this highest power, and we will be forever loved, forgiven, and helped in any way possible in this life and the life after.

From the Sacred Text of the Universal White Brotherhood: The Rejected Stone, Read by Virtuous Hristo Madzharov, Part 2 of 2

The Lord says, “This Divine net will be cast to the end of the world; some will be taken out of the sea on the shore, while others will be cast again into the sea.” We should take a more serious attitude to all problems and consider what kind of people we should be. Everything, every thought, every angel has their role in the cosmos. This way the wheel along which runs the progress of humanity is in motion. They must do the will of God. A store represents what is changeless, constant and permanent. Philosophers will vanish, but the principles of nature will remain invariable.

From the Sacred Text of the Universal White Brotherhood: The Rejected Stone, Read by Virtuous Hristo Madzharov, Part 1 of 2

Master Beinsa Douno taught that one should walk the path of Love, Wisdom, and Truth. We present to you the sacred teachings of the Universal White Brotherhood from one of Master Beinsa Douno’s lectures titled, “The Rejected Stone.” People who pursue the positive sciences say that all things must be visible, tangible and real. However, not all tangible things are true or real. Coincidence is a karmic law, it is a measured law of action. Coincidence is a karmic law, it is a measured law of action. The Scriptures say that the rejected stone became the head of the corner. Of Love and Wisdom in the invisible world.

From Hinduism’s Sacred Text: Devi Bhagavatam, Fourth Book, Chapter 4, Part 2 of 2

We now present an excerpt of Hinduism’s sacred text: verses on Adharma by Maharsi Veda Vyasa. It is only the Munis and Hermits that can observe pure truth; They exist as perfect examples; their case is quite separate. The sense organs, Indriyas, confound the Buddhi (rational) and make one follow the path of enjoying sensual things. Mind is attached to senses and follows diverse ways, urged on furiously by the three Gunas (attributes of nature: purity, passion, and delusion). Persons when they do not get their desired objects after have pondered how to secure the sensual objects, take recourse to pretext, and, from that pretext do many sinful acts.

From Hinduism’s Sacred Text: Devi Bhagavatam, Fourth Book, Chapter 4, Part 1 of 2

We present to you the spiritual wisdom of Hinduism. On Adharma. All those persons who are attached to worldliness are bent these, therefore, cannot be Aptas (seers). When self interest is obstructed, jealousy and anger arise; and to secure one’s self interest, out of jealousy, arise untruthful words. The Pundits (religious teachers), of yore, declare that truth is the first Pada (foot), cleanliness, the second; compassion, the third; and charity is the fourth Pada (foot) of Dharma (Religion). Thus, devoid of these, It seems no one had any trace of faith and steadiness in one’s religion.

The Godly Received Visionary Wisdom by Saint Hildegard von Bingen, Part 2 of 2

The Godly Received Visionary Wisdom by Saint Hildegard von Bingen, Part 2 of 2

We will have a glimpse of the blazing spiritual writings by the medieval Saint. Excerpt from Hildegard’s Letter to Odo of Soissons. “A human being contains three paths: namely, soul, body and senses. The soul provides the body with life like fore flooding the darkness with light; it has two major powers the understanding and the will. It is understanding which distinguishes what is good from what is bad in human actions. The will is the force behind the whole of the action.” “And I looked and learned, not by my own inquiries, but by looking into the true Light.”

The Godly Received Visionary Wisdom by Saint Hildegard of Bingen, Part 1 of 2

We will explore some of the excerpts from selected writings by the German Saint. As body and soul are one and support each other, in the same way the planets with the firmament confirm each other and strengthen each other. And like the soul that enlivens and strengthens the body. Consider the One who made human beings to be a mirror to the fullness of all His miracles, so that the knowledge of God would shine in them, as it is written: ‘You are gods and all of you are sons of the Most High.’ May He look upon you, and direct you to his will. Whenever human reason imitates God, then a human being can reach God, who has neither beginning nor end.

The Tradition and Current Practices of the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis: An Interview with Dr. Hugh McCague, Part 2 of 2

The Tradition and Current Practices of the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis: An Interview with Dr. Hugh McCague, Part 2 of 2

The Rosicrucian movement is a mystical fraternity which, by necessity, operated in secret for much of its existence. And then starting in 2001 and going to the 2016 three more manifestos were issued worldwide. A central message is that life can be mastered and we are here for a purpose, that the human being has a deep spiritual nature. And we will find that’s our true birth right, and as we grew up, as we mature, we are fully coming to that. And we refer to what we often called the Master, the God within, the inner self to learn to have a continuous rapport or an increasing rapport with that.

The Tradition and Current Practices of the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis: An Interview with Dr. Hugh McCague, Part 1 of 2

The symbol of the Rosicrucians is that of a rosy cross, where the cross represents the human body, while the rose represents the individual’s unfolding consciousness. For the Rosicrucians who is referred to a Rose Croix was an enlightened Master, a enlightened being. There are various teachings of the Rosicrucian Order that are private in their nature; however they can be mentioned to people they seem ready and prepared for, and many of these things are known through other spiritual traditions, but the person has to be ready for them to appreciate them.

Selection from Jainisms Holy Akaranga Sutra: Book I Lecture 2: Conquest of the World, Part 2 of 2

We explore the spiritual teaching of Jainism. “Observing the pain of mundane existence, one should not act with violence. This is called the true knowledge and renunciation.” “Then, after a time, he falls in sickness: those with whom he lives together, first grumble at him, and he afterwards grumbles at them. But they cannot help thee or protect thee, nor canst thou help them or protect them. Thus a fool, doing cruel acts, comes ignorantly to grief. Wisely reject hope and desire, and extracting that thorn (i.e. pleasure) thou shouldst act rightly.”“The farsighted one who knows the world, knows its inferior part (hell), its upper part (heaven), its side-long part (the state of brute beasts).”

Selection from Jainisms Holy Akaranga Sutra: Book I Lecture 2: Conquest of the World, Part 1 of 2

One of the oldest religions in the world is Jainism, or traditionally known as Jain Dharma. Originating from ancient India, this philosophy centers around concepts such as right perception, right knowledge and right conduct in the attainment of moksha, or realization of the soul’s true nature. The concept of ahimsa, or non-violence, is of equally great importance. Thus, with compassion for all life, practitioners of Jainism follow a pure vegetarian or vegan diet. Jains follow the ancient wisdom of the 24 Tirthankaras, or prophets, whose teachings comprise the Agam sutras, the religion’s holy scriptures.

From Judaism’s Holy Tanakh: Excerpts from Book of Isaiah, Part 2 of 2

We have a strong city; walls and bulwarks doth He appoint for salvation. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation that keepeth faithfulness may enter in. The mind stayed on Thee Thou keepest in perfect peace; because it trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever, for the Lord is God, an everlasting Rock. For He hath brought down them that dwell on high, the lofty city, laying it low, laying it low even to the ground, bringing it even to the dust. The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.

From Judaism’s Holy Tanakh: Excerpts from Book of Isaiah, Part 1 of 2

And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse, and a twig shall grow forth out of his roots. And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears; But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the land; and he shall smite the land with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

There he devoted himself for the rest of his life to the development of his “integral” yoga. In that year he entrusted the work of guiding the seekers to his spiritual collaborator, Mirra Alfassa, who was called “the Mother” in the ashram. The ashram eventually attracted seekers from many countries throughout the world.
