Serving the World without Harming Other Beings – Farmer Sivalingam Vasanthakumar, Part 2 of 2

Although the decision not to send his sheep for slaughter has cost him almost £10,000 in lost earnings, Kumar has no regrets and has peace of mind. Being aware of climate change, Kumar decided that, along with changing his business from animal livestock farming to organic vegetable growing, he would also change his diet. “At the moment, I am a vegetarian. I am in the process of becoming a vegan.” “It’s only a small farm, but I think if we all do a little bit, little bit, we will make a big impact on the planet’s ecosystem.” “But it will change, because now we’re seeing climate change, that evidence coming up that livestock farming is causing, creating a lot of carbon emission and so, the farming system has to change.” In closing, Kumar expresses his love for all beings. “From my heart, I would like to tell everybody that every life matters on this planet. So, let’s not destroy them. Look after them, nurture them; they are precious. The planet is precious for us. Let’s be kind to all living beings.”

Serving the World without Harming Other Beings – Farmer Sivalingam Vasanthakumar, Part 1 of 2

Kumar was born in Sri Lanka and spent his childhood working on the family dairy farm. He has since worked on various livestock farms, and in 2010 set up his own sheep farm in Devon. Although Kumar liked his career, he could not bear the pressure involved in the process of taking his animals to the slaughterhouse. Once his daughter, a livestock veterinarian, asked him what he planned to do with his lambs, he decided on the spot to end the animal farming he had been doing for 30 plus years. “And I said to Molly: ‘No, that is the end of it. I would not take them to the slaughterhouse. I need to find a sanctuary for them.’ which was a great relief for me.” “So, there’s no regret at all. It was a wonderful thing I have done.” He keeps 70 ewes for himself as pets and enjoys the joy and peace this brings knowing he’s made the right decision. “And also, it’s time for all of us to do something for the planet and for climate change and eat more vegetables and make sure that this planet is there for our future generations.”

Tal Gilboa: At The Forefront of Inspiring Israel's Vegan Movement, Part 3 of 3

After viewing the plight of animals on social media, Tal started researching the truth via hands-on, fact-finding missions to document the pain of animals in livestock facilities. In the following year, she co-founded the Glass Walls Association to advance public awareness about the animal suffering through the exposure of the shocking reality behind the livestock industry. Her spontaneous nature, philosophy of telling the truth and her bravery have been portrayed in the movie titled, “One Angry Vegan.” Tal Gilboa was appointed as the Animal-Rights Advisor to the Isreali Prime Minister in June 2019! “And the head chief of the Israeli army is almost vegan, which is very important. Also, the President is a vegetarian. We are going to be a vegan nation. This is what is going to happen in Israel!” Tal shared a vital message with our global viewers. “I think that it’s very important for all the vegans to watch the reality of the animals because you go and focus yourself, because you know why you are doing it.”

Tal Gilboa: At The Forefront of Inspiring Israel's Vegan Movement, Part 2 of 3

In 2013 Tal Gilboa co-founded “Israel Animal Liberation Front” which was renamed “Total Liberation Israel” in 2018. This is one of the fastest growing social movements of our time calling for the total liberation of animals everywhere through marches, rallies and blockading trucks to the slaughter houses etc. The animal justice movement is increasingly attracting adherents across Israel and the activism is paving the way for a new era in animal rights. Besides various initiatives including creative protests and demonstrations, Tal Gilboa was also delivering lectures to diverse audiences: from high-school students to the military, business and political decision-makers. Her passion for animal causes took her to face unchartered territory, to compete for the first time and won the 6th edition of the intense contest of HaAh HaGadol. “Half a million people changed their diet while I was there. And everything that I did was just to think about, ‘It's going to do good for the animals or not?’”

Tal Gilboa: At The Forefront of Inspiring Israel's Vegan Movement, Part 1 of 3

Ms. Gilboa has become a celebrity at home and abroad through her numerous initiatives for bringing awareness of raising animal livestock and for encouraging everyone to adopt veganism. As one of the most influential animal-rights activists and key resource on veganism, Tal Gilboa was appointed as the Animal-Rights Advisor to the Prime Minister of Israel. Witnessing the ordeal of a mother cow served as a key moment for Tal Gilboa. She reflected on how best to honor a parent’s responsibility to children in terms of clear and honest education regarding animals. “And what I did was to take them all, the three of them, to farms. I wanted them to to watch the truth. Now I could say the truth to them by my knowledge, the calves are in these little cages, because they’re separated from their mothers. This is what I did and they changed because of that." Tal Gilboa's noble example and bold actions have reached farther than her whole family's turining vegan; she has also influenced many others within her country.

The Vivacious Vegan Ambassador, Jane 'Unchained' Velez-Mitchell, Part 3 of 3

On today's program, Jane shares her thoughts about how our dietary choices affect our mental wellbeing. She believes that a vegan lifestyle contributes to happiness, while meat consumption can lead to depression. Jane says we can do many things to promote the healthier, happier vegan lifestyle. For example, whenever fast food chains, restaurants, or stores introduce new plant-based products, Jane and her team actively support them. Jane and her volunteer contributors continually seek more ways to promote the vegan lifestyle. They have recently expanded through conducting live interviews with experts, and through music. "There are too many things that we can do every single day to move us toward our goal of a compassionate cruelty free, plant-based world. Supreme Master TV, we are a peaceful force that will change the world! That is changing the world. Carry on! Double down!"

Jane Velez-Mitchell’s enthusiasm in spreading the vegan message is inspirational. Her website, Jane Unchained, now reaches more than one million people. Jane and her team of volunteer contributors use every possible social platform to promote vegan living. “This is a crucial time. Every single person who wants to save this planet, go on social media every time you eat a vegan meal, put it on Instagram, go live on Facebooks. We need to flood social media with vegan content and normalize non-violence, and normalize non-violence, normalize veganism, normalize a compassionate lifestyle.” “We just finished a documentary called, ‘Countdown to Year Zero!’ Everybody needs to see ‘Countdown to Year Zero.’ It is the most important subject. If the world is uninhabitable for humans, it’s too hot to support human life, all the other issues will pale. And the solution is simply to eliminate the meat and dairy from our diet. It is the leading cause of climate change.”

The Fry Family – Crafting Food for Change Since 1991, Part 3 of 3

On today’s program, we will introduce you to Wally Fry’s daughter, Tammy Fry, who wishes to change the world and its people through the way they eat. Tammy is not only the Marketing Director of Fry’s, she is also a famous vegan blogger, athlete extraordinaire, public speaker, plant-based nutritionist, and the founder of Meat Free Mondays in South Africa and Australia. Tammy is a born vegetarian. "Bacon for a child could be a carrot. I mean, they don’t know that that came off an animal’s body, unless you’ve actually explained that to them. And I think sometimes, giving them the truth about what they’re eating will naturally turn them off.” “I learned really young, that in order to change people, you need to inspire them. So, you have to focus on the solution and show them, that actually, this is a great way to live; you inspire them to change rather. Having being an athlete myself for so many years, doing many hours of training every single day on a plant-based diet, showed me that was actually possible."

The Fry Family – Crafting Food for Change Since 1991, Part 2 of 3

In almost 30 years of running a business, Mr. Fry’s role has changed and evolved over time. He generously shared these changes with us. What is the future of food? Mr. Fry explains that there will be many changes concerning the marketing of foods and its consumption in the future. “There’s a couple of bad things going on with food and that’s plastic. And of course, you know, meat and animal products. So, consciousness is growing in the world. And I think that as we get deeper and deeper into this movement or evolution of humankind, supermarkets will change. We will become more natural with everything. We will have less packaging, things will not be able to be transported long distances and therefore have to be in plastic. Things will change and people will stop buying bottled water. I think those things are gonna change without any doubt. There’s no doubt at all, in my mind.”

The Fry Family – Crafting Food for Change Since 1991, Part 1 of 3

The Fry Family started creating simple yet tasty meat alternative recipes in their own kitchen in South Africa, back in 1991. “All life is precious, and I could live without sacrificing the life of another. I become a vegetarian and set about creating a meat alternative.” “Principle before profit” has been the mantra of the Fry Family since its beginning. They measure their success by the amount of animals’ lives that are saved with each purchase of a Fry’s product. "The brand has become a legacy on its own and it’s definitely not about me; it’s about the combined effort of so many enthusiastic people." Thanks to a great working team spirit and family love and support from all family members, The Fry Family Food Co. has become a force for change around the world, helping millions of people transition to a vegan diet while contributing immensely to saving the animals.

The Ageless Vegan Health Coach, Linda Middlesworth, Part 2 of 2

Today, at the age of 75, Linda continues to wow everyone around her with her astonishing vitality, physical and mental strength, and effectiveness as a certified health professional. Having experienced the liberating health benefits of veganism, Linda never misses an opportunity to share her knowledge. Another initiative of hers is to organize protests and rescue operations for animals. For over 20 years, she worked hard to combat the cruel practices of the Ringling Brother’s Circus, helping to bring about its closure in 2017, after 146 years of operation. She donned a test rat suit to the point of heat-exhaustion demonstrating for SB 1249, the California Cruelty-Free Cosmetic Act, which requires that cosmetics sold in California be not tested on animals, starting in 2020. Thanks in part to her efforts, SB 1249 was signed into law in September 2018.

Ori Shavit: Pioneering A Vegan Israel - One Bite At A Time, Part 3 of 3

"It’s been really a huge change, and it was so fast and so powerful that I think that this is one of the reasons why people say Tel Aviv is the most vegan friendly city in the world, because it’s not only the amount of vegan restaurants, it’s the accessibility of vegan food; it’s everywhere; you don’t need to look for it." "I think that if your heart is open and you’re full of compassion, then you’ll find the way to reach out to everyone. And even if not everyone is going in the same pace as you do, you know that you have to be patient about it, and to find the way to be a good example for people around you. This is the key." "They don’t have to change their whole way of thinking in one day. You have to walk in baby steps. You do make a huge change even as one person."

Philip Wollen – The Venture Capitalist for Noble Causes, Part 4 of 4

In many of his speeches, Mr. Wollen’s distinctly points to well-documented facts about the livestock industry’s enormous impact. “I’m sure you guys know that greenhouse gas emissions from livestock exceed those of transport. Forest depletion by the meat industry cost three times as much as the recent global financial crisis.” “So, the problem was caused by us, the problem needs to be solved by us; we don’t have a moment to lose. It's a problem that we all must face, and we must all take responsibility for it. ” “Because at the end, only three things matter: how deeply you loved; how gently you lived; and how gracefully you let go of things that were not meant for you. Meat was not meant for you. ”

Sadha has been a vegetarian since 2012, and she chose to do so, because she didn’t actually enjoy the taste, and she definitely did not appreciate the killing involved. “I quit having red meat when I just saw an animal being sacrificed at a festival, and it just broke my heart. I felt no living being need to go through that amount of fear and pain for me to satisfy my taste buds.” Sadha’s kind acts to animals was recognized and acknowledged by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India. She received PETA’s Hero to Animals Award for rescuing a puppy, who had been hit by a car, and then changing her travel plans, so that she could care for it.

In his efforts to find more spokespersons for the animals, Mr.Wollen often openly invites people to join his cause. He especially believes that it is imperative for people in positions of power to speak out and take action. And once you get off the meat and dairy drug, there is no going back. Your health improves, the way in which you look at life improves, and they never go back to the bad old days. And now of course, everything has changed, everybody is working for the vegan world, and that all animals are free, not just having better conditions, but they are actually free, and we shut down the slaughterhouses. We don’t clean them up, we shut them down.
