In Shining World Compassion and Courage Award News from the United Kingdom…
Animal Rebellion is a mass movement that strives to stop the inhumane treatment of animals, end the climate crisis, and protect all life by compelling governments to implement policies toward a sustainable plant-based food system, using nonviolent civil disobedience. The entity was created in 2019, after many social justice groups collaborated to become a positive force for change. The alliance now covers many parts of the globe and takes peaceful direct actions, successfully gaining the immediate attention of media, the public, people in power, and industry. “As Animal Rebellion, our one demand is a transition to a plant-based food system. We realize that we cannot address the climate and ecological emergency without addressing the animal emergency. The animal agriculture and fishing industries are one of the leading causes of the climate and ecological emergency, so we realize we need to address both of these and get our governments to transition to a plant-based food system as soon as possible.”
Upon learning about this peaceful movement, Supreme Master Ching Hai presented Animal Rebellion with the Shining World Compassion and Courage Award, as well as a humble financial contribution of US$50,000 “with the deepest love, solidarity, and well-wishing. May all your members continue your all-important work of bringing justice, peace, and climate stability to the world with unabated success, in all Heaven’s glory.” In addition to presenting the Award letter, crystalline plaque and Master’s financial gift, our Association members in the United Kingdom also gave an assortment of Master’s elevating publications and DVDs to Mr. Tim Speers, a representative of Animal Rebellion.
“Through mass civil disobedience, the media and authorities must take notice, and thus the opportunity to awaken the public is born. As a critical mass is reached, the government will be compelled to take immediate action on the source of the crisis, the animal raising industry. With three simple common-sense demands, tell the truth, act now and bipartisan policies, your message has inspired a legion of rebels with a cause peacefully and passionately calling for vital change. You are torchbearers, harbingers of peace, heroically trailblazing a path of compassion to save our planet.”
Tim Speers expressed his gratitude on behalf of Animal Rebellion. “Wow, beautiful words. Thank You so much for this wonderful letter, so beautifully presented. Thank You, Supreme Master Ching Hai, for this very beautiful and generous award. It will go proudly on Animal Rebellion’s mantelpiece.”
And now, we’d like to present you with US$50,000 for Animal Rebellion. “Thank You so much for this donation, it’s such a generous amount of money. Sadly, we need this. We need money like this to be able to function as an organization. With this generous donation, we’ll be able to keep on growing our movement, keep on with our campaigns and keep on putting pressure on our government until they take action with the climate and ecological emergency all life is currently in.”
Our joyful congratulations, Animal Rebellion! We pray this initiative further spreads across our planet as we move towards a compassionate future, in God’s infinite love. For the full presentation of the Shining World Compassion and Courage Award to Animal Rebellion, please tune in to our Shining World Awards program at a later date.
Research links severe winter weather to rapid warming in Arctic.
A new study concludes that rising temperatures in the Arctic have likely been causing periods of extreme cold in the Northern Hemisphere over the past four decades. According to the analysis, global warming is disrupting the stratospheric polar vortex at the Arctic, which is a band of strong westerly winds rotating a large pool that keeps the cold air in the region contained. As the vortex weakens, it stretches down and brings devastating cold spells to mid-latitude countries, including the United States. Alarmingly, the cold wave that swept Texas, USA, in February 2021 took the lives of approximately 700 people and caused power outages to millions of residents. Fellow author, Dr. Chaim Garfinkel from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem said that people are starting to realize that “even if the climate change isn’t in your own backyard, it can still really affect you.” Many thanks, Dr. Chaim Garfinkel and all scientists involved. May humanity urgently embrace the planet-saving vegan lifestyle to secure a safe future for all, in Divine guidance.
Up next, the Netherlands charges ahead in number of EV stations. We pause to thank the demolition workers, who help to take down old buildings, bridges, walls, stairs, etc. that are near the end of their lifecycle, so that new construction projects can begin. We’ll return with more high-thinking news after this message here on Supreme Master Television. Like that the calf is yanked away from its mother so u can have the milk 4 ur coffee? No? Then choose vegan.
Good day, elated viewers, I’m Wanda the vegan Eurasian Beaver. I am a winner because I am vegan. Turn vegan and be a champ for life! I have a pet tip for you today. If you adopt a shy pet, make them feel more comfortable by giving them their own space. Arrange the area, preferably away from family activity, with a cozy bed, water, and leave their meals there. Allow them to get used to the sounds and scents of the household. Be patient, as this may take some time. But as your pet feels more comfortable, he or she will spend more time outside of their space. You can give your pet vegan treats or food to help them create positive associations with new people, environments, sights and sounds. Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for tuning in, and now for the weather around the globe.
The Netherlands’ electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure takes lead among European nations.
Thanks to the country’s green energy initiatives, the Netherlands has approximately 75,000 charging stations for a variety of electric cars from Tesla to Volvo. The government’s electric car incentives have led to a green transportation trend of 1 in 5 vehicles sold being electric in the past decade. Promoting EV in the country began in 2012 and the nation has the goal of all new cars being electric from 2030. The Netherlands is expected to further act on climate change following the United Nations’ current warning to them of their “code red” global warming status. As one-third of the country is below sea-level, it is at high risk of changes from the climate. Thank you, Dutch government, for taking swift actions early to help mitigate climate-related disasters. May global leaders quickly mandate the vegan lifestyle as the world urgently needs restoration, in Divine wisdom.
Los Angeles, USA steps up to provide 232 housing units for vulnerable individuals.
The US$157 million Hilda L. Solis Care First Village, located on a 4.2-acre (1.7-hectare) site in downtown L.A., was created in less than five months for houseless individuals during the pandemic. It reached full occupancy in May 2021. The two brightly painted, three-story buildings are made of steel shipping containers stacked atop each other. Each furnished apartment has windows and is fully insulated with its own heating and ventilation system. Another building features a common kitchen, dining area and laundry facilities. Parking spots are also available on site as well as landscaped courtyards and a park for dog companions. Working in collaboration with the Los Angeles County’s Department of Public Works, the facility was created by NAC Architecture and construction management company Bernards. Financing of the complex came mainly from federal pandemic funds, with the remainder being covered by the local government. Los Angeles is a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and a Shining World Super Loving Care Leadership Award. Great work, Los Angeles, on this fantastic collaboration to provide housing to vulnerable individuals. May it inspire governments around the world to similarly take care of precious citizens in need, in Heaven’s shelter.
Australian couple give back to society by becoming foster carers.
Retired police officers Deb and Peter Kennedy from South Australia have been foster parents to over 25 children in the past two years. The compassionate duo, whose own three children have grown up, are available any time to take in children in emergency situations, as well as provide short-term care to give the birth parents time to resolve challenging situations or long-term foster caregivers a rest. Encouraging others to take on fostering, Ms. Kennedy shared, “More people should give it a go because it’s just so much fun,” adding that the experience hopefully helps the children “have a more positive outlook on life.” Our heartfelt appreciation, Deb and Peter Kennedy, for selflessly serving others. In the love of Heaven, may your efforts help the youngsters grow into exceptional adults with blossoming love and nobility in their hearts.

Awesome app spreads vegan food and reduces waste.
“Too Good To Go” is a mobile application that connects customers with participating restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores that have unsold food items. App users have the chance to buy “surprise bags” filled with edibles at a steeply discounted price. By choosing vegan as their food preference, users will be connected with a number of nearby plant-based and vegan-friendly businesses. Developed in Denmark in 2015 to help eliminate food waste, the app is now available in many European countries, the UK, Canada and the United States. Way to go, “Too Good To Go”! We hope vegan consumers and businesses will benefit from your app and that your laudable mission of reducing food waste meets with great success as the plant-based lifestyle is globally embraced, in Celestial grace.
China’s Hainan gibbon population increases owing to local community conservation efforts.
Once widespread across half of the country, today the apes are found only in Hainan province, and are designated as critically endangered in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN’s) Red List of Threatened Species. According to a recent IUCN report, the number of Hainan gibbons has increased from seven to nine in the 1980s to 35 individuals today, including two new baby apes that were born last year. Also called the “Giant Panda of Hainan,” these intelligent primates currently live in five different groups in the Bawangling Nature Reserve, their only known habitat. The increase in population has been attributed to local community and government involvement together with input from experts and international conservation groups. Many thanks, all involved, in helping the precious Hainan gibbons live and thrive in safety. May we all join hands to protect our irreplaceable animal friends, in the caring guidance of the Providence.
Here’s our attempt to make you laugh. This one’s titled, “Aspirations.”
A teacher was asking his students about their aspirations.
“What would you like to be when you grow up?”
“I want to be a policeman to protect our fellow citizens from crime.”
“I want to be a doctor to help our fellow citizens when they are ill.”
“I want to be a pilot to help our fellow citizens to travel around the world.”
“How about you Frank?”
“I want to be that fellow citizen!”
And now we have a heartline from Lucas in the United States:
Dear Supreme Master TV team, Thank you for your wonderful show about kites! There are so many positive things about kites - art, science, legend, history, and the harnessing of natural forces. I’ve loved kites from a young age, and I used to make my own kites (Chinese, Thai, Korean, British, and North American styles) during the 70s and early 80s. I hope that your show will inspire more people to fly kites, and to choose healthy and ecological living. Lucas from the United States
