An ecovillage is one pathway to a better future for our planet. Most of the Russian ecovillages are established either through public funding for the purchase of the land or by lease of the location. In 2015, the Russian government instituted the granting of free land to those willing to move to the Russian Far East. Here it seems a new era of coexistence and co-prosperity between humanity and nature is coming.

So you can live as long as possible and live a healthy life. If NFL players with such physical demands placed on them can thrive on a plant-based diet, then surely everyone can.

In the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, Narendra Modi, prime minister of India, proposed that the world should annually celebrate an international day of yoga. He said, “Yoga is a holistic approach to health and well-being. Yoga is not only about exercise but about discovering a sense of oneness between ourselves, the world, and nature.” His proposal received broad support, thus establishing June 21st as the International Day of Yoga. Indian enlightened Master Patanjali divides the Yoga path into eight components: Yamas, Niyamas, Asanas, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana(meditation), Samadhi(oneness).

World Refugee Day is recognized every year on June 20 in the admiration of the strength, courage and perseverance of millions of refugees worldwide. This occasion has been observed since 2001, and has since grown into a global celebration that aims to unify all people. There are a great number of refugees in the world that act as shining lights for others’ hope and inspiration. Syrian-born Olympic swimmer, Yusra Mardini is one, she has an experience from refugee to Olympian. And in 2017, She was named the youngest ever UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.

The third Sunday in June masks the special day to honor our fathers in many countries. Celebrating Father’s Day is a beautiful tradition. Fathers give us the best of themselves on a daily basis through material comforts, moral teachings, emotional support and also by providing a spiritual foundation for the family. Today is a blessed opportunity for us to show our Dad, just how much he means to us and thank him for his innumerable deeds and sacrifices. On this show, we’ll feature some handsome, intelligent, fun-loving, and devoted dads from around the world.

What advice do you have for parents to help their children become better Earth stewards? The most important thing to be teaching preschoolers to eight-year old’s is nature connecting. There are plenty of ways; parents can give their children the responsibility to help in the garden, to care for small creatures; always treading carefully when out for a walk to protect the ants and other insects; eating a compassionate planet-friendly vegan diet…. Teaching, guiding and leading our children to appreciate the beauty and strength, and the diversity of nature will green their young hearts and spirits.

Greening the heart or the essence of education means examining what we teach, how we teach, and where we teach to ensure that we’re helping our students become protectors of the Earth and all the living beings on it. We can see that the situation is dire. It is desperate and dangerous already for hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Many species have become extinct. So, we have some urgent changes to make. Educators around the world can no longer teach as though catastrophic events are not happening. In this program, Ms. Julie Johnston shared her school curriculum map and model.

The fig tree is one of the most important trees to our forests, sustaining over 1200 species of birds and mammals in the wild. It is known as a keystone plant-if taken away from the jungle, the whole ecosystem would collapse. The Enlightened Prophet Muhammad once said:” If I had to mention a fruit that descended from paradise, I would say this is the fig…” Thus, the fig tree’s fruit is also know as the “Fruit of Paradise.” The revered spiritual master Gautama Buddha once attained full enlightenment after meditating for seven days under a large fig tree, which became know as the Bodhi Tree.

There are two popular pilgrimages in Japan. One pilgrimage is in the mountainous region of the Kii Peninsula of Honshu. It’s an amazing network of trails called Kumano Kodo(meaning “ancient paths”) ; it is one of only two pilgrimages in the world recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization as a World Heritage Site. Another pilgrimage is the Shikoku Pilgrimage, one of the oldest pilgrimage trails in the world and one of only few that are circular, the Shikoku Pilgrimage is a route that connects 88 temples around the circumference of the island.

Mothers are our most precious jewels. Today’s program is in honor of our treasured moms who are always there giving us unconditional love, encouragement and inner strength to carry on. They guide us on our journey in life, while watching us grow into the shining souls we truly are. On Mother’s Day,2017, Supreme Master Ching Hai said: “ We should give a lot, a lot of love to the mother, and the father of course. Always come home, hug them, kiss them, and always tell them you love them, you appreciate this, you appreciate that.”

The eucalyptus is the national tree of Australia. Indigenous Australians have used resin extracts and leaves from the tree to treat fever, toothache, fungal infection, skin lesions, and gastrointestinal ailments for centuries. A group of Australian researchers discovered the eucalyptus tree can draw up particles of gold from deep underground through its root system and deposit them in its leaves! In South America, the oil of Palo santo（Meaning “Holy Wood”）is considered a “spiritual oil,” it’s used to purify and cleanse negative energy.

There are ten Gurus in Sikhism, the first of which is the revered Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who is the Founder of the Sikh religion. He was an Enlightened Master，he taught that we must consider all people in the world as equals, make an honest living, engage in daily meditation and remember God at all times. The auspicious day of Vaisakhi commemorates the birth of the Sikh community known as the Khalsa. On this day, a baptism for five brave devotees(who were willing to dedicate their lives）of the tenth Sikh enlightened Master, Guru Gobind Singh.
