Ayurveda: Die Wissenschaft des Lebens

Ayurveda originated in India more than 5,000 years ago, and is one of the oldest medical systems in our world. In Sanskrit, the word “Ayurveda” has two components, “ayur” meaning longevity and “veda” meaning science. In the beginning, this method was passed down through the generations by Indian physicians and sages through oral teaching. Later, this precious healing knowledge was recorded in books. The three key ancient texts that document Ayurvedic medicine practices are famously known as the “Great Trilogy,” namely the “Charaka Samhita,” “Sushruta Samhita” and “Astanga Hridaya.”

Der Nutzen von Zimmerpflanzen, Teil 2 von 2

Plants purify this trapped air by pulling contaminants into the soil, where root-zone microorganisms convert VOCs into food for the plant. Plant parts such as stems, leaves, branches, and trunks absorb sound. Just one plant per workspace can provide a very large lift to staff spirits, and so promote Well-being and performance. Many hospitals grow plants both outside and inside their facilities. Another benefit of growing indoor plants is that growing indoor plants is that they can help patients recover more quickly.

Do you often have difficulty falling asleep? Do you wake up feeling unrested? Have you experienced persistent in digestion and poor appetite? Are rapid mood swings part of your daily life? Do you have cold hands and feet, or catch frequent colds? These conditions could be warning signals from the autonomic nervous system about a compromised health status. There are two main reasons. Firstly, our diet is far from natural; and secondly, overwhelming stresses in life. But aside from clinical methods, we can also help regulate our autonomic nerves by upgrading to a plant-based diet.

Den Blutkreislauf auf langen Flug- und Autoreisen anregen

The human body is about 60% water. Around 2/3 of body water is intracellular fluid, and 1/3 of body water is extracellular. If we remain standing or sitting for an extended period, the leg muscles remain stationary and blood circulation in the veins will slow down. The blood flowing to the legs will not flow smoothly back to the heart. This increased pressure on the blood vessels may lead to excessive accumulation of extracellular fluid between the cells, resulting in edema, or swelling, in the calves, ankles and/or feet. Apart from long-distance travel, edema can also be caused by other conditions such as chronic heart failure, kidney diseases, arthritis, and hypothyroidism.

Dr. Steve Blake spricht über einen natürlichen Schutz vor Alzheimer

Alzheimer’s disease does not currently have an effective conventional medical treatment. There are some drugs for the condition, but most of them can have serious side effects and cannot stop the disease’s progression. However, we may be able to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease dramatically —simply by avoiding meat and consuming vegetables and fruits that are full of essential vitamins and antioxidants. Vitamin E is crucially important to protect the brain cells. It’s a fat-soluble antioxidant that protects the delicate membranes from free radical damage.

H.O.P.E. - ein Dokumentarfilm über unsere Lebensmittelauswahl, Teil 2 von 2

Now, Let’s look at the highly destructive impact the livestock industry has on our planet. We have to start realizing food is what keeps the world going. Food is the energy of the world. And we have to know exactly where in that chain we entered so that we don’t do more harm. Once we admit that we humans are not the only beings with personalities, minds, and feelings, once we realize that we are part of the animal kingdom, then it becomes quite as important how we treat animals - all animals – as how we treat each other.

H.O.P.E. - ein Dokumentarfilm über unsere Lebensmittelauswahl, Teil 1 von 2

In 2006, Nina Messinger of Austria started giving talks and organizing seminars about nutrition and health. Her growing awareness of the terrible consequences of the animal-based Western diet prompted her to start working on a documentary called “HOPE FOR ALL” IN 2012. After the film was released in Germany in 2016, Ms. Messinger spent a year working on an English version of the film that was renamed “H.O.P.E. What You Eat Matters.”
