The contributions were made by 32 governments and 12 companies and organizations to Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, founded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a Shining World Compassion Award recipient. This recent funding will help to immunize 300 million children from major deadly diseases by 2025. Also, another US$567 million was raised towards a global financing mechanism to ensure fair access to a COVID-19 vaccine once it becomes available. Our immense gratitude, Your Excellency Boris Johnson, all summit participants, and Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance. May our global community continue its earnest cooperation to protect human lives, in God’s grace.Canadian province buys hotel to assist people living without homes. The government of British Columbia in Canada has paid approximately US$13.4 million for the Comfort Inn Hotel in the city of Victoria, to provide safe accommodation to homeless people who had been living in tent cities during the coronavirus pandemic. The hotel, which has 65 rooms available, is being managed by Our Place Society, a local community center serving disadvantaged individuals. Our Place Society has joined with the government assistance agency BC Housing to offer the occupants medical services, meals and storage facilities. The province plans eventually to use the Comfort Inn for affordable housing and is also leasing other hotels for those in need. Thank you, British Columbia, BC Housing, and Our Place Society. May all people have safe and comfortable homes, in the loving shelter of the Providence.Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Is very touched by this caring action, and in much gratitude, present the government of British Columbia a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion, with high salute, best wishes and praises. May the Heavens continue to protect you and your peace-loving citizens at all times.”Up next, organic seaweed production expands in The Netherlands. We now pause to thank the innovative toy designers, who think of what would make kids happy that’s also safe for them to play with. When we return, more good news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!Hi energetic friends, I am Ming Ming the vegan Panda! What’s the one superpower we can all acquire? It’s vegan power! Let’s all be plant-strong superheroes for our world. Today I’d like to share a tip from Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Your shower ‘wet room’ doesn’t have to be so wet as it makes humidity and extra time to clean/dry. Just buy a ready-made bathtub the size that suits its space, place it under the water tap and voila! you have a bathtub to relax in / shower sit-in. It’s quick to clean and the water can be saved for flushing or garden plants, and in case you can’t or don’t want to go out, such as in pandemic, you can wash your big blankets in the bathtub if no big washing machine available. Take care and protect your precious self. Much love!” We love You, too, Supreme Master Ching Hai, and much appreciation for this practical tip! Thank you for your attention and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe.Dutch seaweed company expands production. Organic seaweed cultivation enterprise Zeewaar, founded in 2013 by Rebecca Wiering from the Netherlands and Jennifer Breaton from the United States, has expanded its seaweed production in the North Sea by 500% in seven years. Nourished by sunlight and natural nutrients, the seaweed forms a mutually beneficial relationship with fish and other marine life. Zeewaar’s rapid expansion is attributed to European citizens’growing awareness of seaweed’s impressive nutritional and environmental benefits. Meanwhile, Ms. Wiering expects that within 13 years, the product will be commonplace in Europe. In fact, theAloha Beach restaurant, located a few kilometers from the seaweed farm, already offers a tasty seaweed-based vegan burger. Such gladdening news, Jennifer Breaton, Rebecca Wiering and Zeewaar. May seaweed and other vegan delights from Nature become the norm as we move into a glorious and Divinely blessed plant-based era.Kenya takes measures to protect forests. Kenya, a Shining World Leadership Award for Protection laureate, has prohibited single-use plastics in its forests which cover 4 million hectares that are managed by national or county governments as well as communities. Guidelines have been released for citizens to better understand and follow the new law, which forbids plastic water bottles and cutlery, snack wrappers, etc., and promotes the use of reusable containers instead. According to Kenyan law, those found disposing of waste material in the forest reserves will be fined up to US$30,000 and/or receive a jail sentence of as much as 10 years. Many thanks, Kenya, for your responsible actions. In Celestial peace, may your natural lands continue to be a beautiful haven for all the beings residing there.Photos of indigenous activists win top prize. Pablo Albarenga from Uruguay won this year’s prestigious Sony World Photography Awards - Photographer of the Year for his series titled “Seeds of Resistance.” The mesmerizing photographs were taken from above and show portraits of environmental activists paired with their cherished homelands that they are working to save. The pictures appear to symbolize how the activists are willing to lay down their lives for their sacred lands, where their ancestors have lived for hundreds of generations. Mr. Albarenga noted after the win that the people in the photos are not just trying to protect their own future, but the future of all. Congratulations and thank you, brilliant Pablo Albarenga, for sharing your creative talents. We pray that the world’s indigenous people, their homes and Mother Earth will always be respected, in Heaven’s mercy.Coming up, shift away from animal protein drives tofu demand in United States. We’ll take a quick step into the garden to watch the butterflies’ graceful dances and bright colors. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Heart-warming News for a Reassuring World.Tofu’s popularity soars in the United States. According to US data collecting company Nielsen, sales of tofu in the country for the month of March this year increased 66.7% compared to the same four-week period in 2019. Korea-based food manufacturer Pulmuone, which is responsible for 78% of US tofu sales, noted that three of its US plants have been operating six days a week, and the company also had to import tofu from Korea to meet the high demand. The sales have been driven by concerns about coronavirus outbreaks at meat-packing plants, and awareness of health benefits associated with the affordable product, including lower rates of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Fantastic news, United States citizens. May such clean, wholesome and versatile plant- based proteins boost the public’s confidence about choosing the vegan way, in Divine wisdom.Chinese city bans hunting. The Tianjin Municipality of northeastern China recently prohibited the hunting of wildlife in its administrative area for a period of five years. The move is part of a nationwide movement to stop the trade and consumption of wild animals in order to protect both the animals and also human health. Previously, hunting was not allowed in certain areas and during specified times of the year, but now the ban is in effect throughout the entire city for the whole of the year. Those not adhering to the new laws will face criminal penalties, and can be charged even if they did not catch any animal. Way to go, Tianjin Municipality, on your new humane law. In Heaven’s compassion, we pray that soon every region of the world will follow your noble example so that all love-filled animals may live in peace. Here comes the joke of the day, laugh it or not. It’s entitled “Plausible Story.”When Daphney phoned her employee to find out why she hadn’t come to the office yet, she expected to hear a regular story about how sick she was... Instead, her excuse was pretty plausible: “When I was driving to work, I took a wrong turn. And then I just decided to keep going.”And now we have a heartline from Pu-Shan in China: Hallo Dear Master, How lucky I am to have met You in this life! The world is illusory and transient. Only our God Nature exists forever, bringing eternal happiness and purity. Grateful to Master for teaching me to be enlightened! Once we are enlightened, we are forever enlightened and the essence of God’s nature exists forever. If I hadn’t met You, I don’t know how long I would have sojourned in ignorance. Carbon Craft Design, founded by Tejas Sidnal, has teamed up with a Boston, United States-based company AIR-INK to make tiles from air pollution. AIR-INK extracts the pollution from the air and supplies it to Carbon Craft Design in the form of soot powder. Heavy metals are removed from the soot and then traditional artisans handcraft the tiles, which have the soot mixed with cement, marble chips, powder, and a binder. The finished tiles come in a range of grey colors, use only one-fifth of the energy as traditional tiles during production, and are much less expensive to purchase. Such beautiful creations, Tejas Sidnal, Carbon Craft Design and AIR-INK. We joyously applaud your remarkable partnership to clean the Earth’s air while creating an innovative product. One day, I found a small fish in the leaves on the hillside of the lake. It didn’t move. Its skin was dehydrated and flies alighted on it. I thought it was a small dead fish, but I didn’t know why it appeared on the mountain. I then prayed for it and wanted to bury it under a tree. I dug a small hole. When I was ready to bury it, suddenly the fish moved a bit. Oh! It was still alive. I decided to put it in a bag and take it back to the water. It seemed to understand my intention. His Excellency explained, “As people around the world start eating more plant-based products, we have an opportunity to bring together Canadian innovation and Canadian crops, and a chance to create good, well-paying jobs.” The investment comes at a time when the country’s largest restaurants and cafes are offering more veg options. Our applause for your smart plans and compassionate trend, Canada. May more governments recognize the opportunities in vegan food production and thus take the lead to rescue our world, in God’s grace.World’s most endangered gorilla subspecies is making a comeback. The United States- headquartered Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) has released pictures of a large family of extremely rare Cross River gorillas with infants. Initially thought to be extinct since the 1970s, they were seen again in the 1980s and now number at around 300 in the wild. Cross River gorillas are found only in a very remote part of the forested mountains on the border area of Nigeria and Cameroon. Commenting on the hopeful images, Inaoyom Imong, Director of WCS Nigeria’s Cross River Landscape, said, “It is extremely exciting to see so many young Cross River gorillas – an encouraging indication that these gorillas are now well protected and reproducing successfully, after previous decades of hunting.” Our appreciation, Wildlife Conservation Society, Nigeria and Cameroon, for your continued protection efforts. May Heaven abundantly bless you and the gentle vegan gorilla families. It is said an apple a day keeps the doctor away. How about a laugh a day brings happiness your way? Here’s the joke of the day entitled “Right Answers.”Mr. Johnson finally got an interview for a new job as a professor at a reputable university: "Please, Mr. Johnson, tell us more about yourself. But why then did you leave your previous job at the other university?""Well, unfortunately, everyone asks me all the wrong questions."And now we have a heartline from Yuan in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam: Dearest Master, I was fortunate to see You a few times since I was 10 years old. When I knew that I was going to see You, inside me there seemed to be a very strong energy, and probably to release that energy, I had to talk a lot and non-stop to my mother, or just talk to myself. United Nations report calls for better treatment of animals

Increased exploitation of wildlife cited as key factor of global outbreaks in UN report. In a new report entitled, “Preventing the Next Pandemic - Zoonotic diseases and how to break the chain of transmission,” the United Nations Environment Programme has presented seven major drivers of zoonotic disease emergence, which are mostly linked to increasing consumption of livestock and wild animal products. In particular, the drivers include rapidly rising meat, dairy and egg production; poor conditions of intensified livestock factory farms; growing exploitation of wildlife; deforestation for livestock rearing; increasing handling, transport and trade of animals and their products; expanding wildlife markets as well as crowded industrial meat processing plants. Given that zoonotic diseases involve and affect human, animal and environmental health, the 82-page report asserted that a “One Health” approach that integrates public health, veterinary and environmental expertise is required to prevent and address future pandemics. Our sincere appreciation for this important report, United Nations Environment Programme. To protect all life on Earth, may world governments immediately ban the consumption of all animal products and switch to a vegan food system, in Divine wisdom.

In today’s news, Supreme Master Ching Hai presents the Shining World Compassion Award to young British vegan chef and entrepreneur, study shows alarming loss of animal habitats, Australian engineers develop a robotic gripper inspired by elephants, Japanese government moves towards making plastic recycling mandatory, American graduate student climbs mountains for charity, Swedish startup installs vegan food vending machines across the capital, France provides funds to protect wildlife in Cameroon. In Shining World Compassion Award News from England… Omari McQueen is a 12-year-old award-winning vegan chef from London, United Kingdom and the CEO of Dipalicious, a food company that sells all-vegan dips, snacks, juice packs and seasonings. When Omari was just seven years old, he stepped up to help his father prepare family meals when his mother became unwell for a time. Omari then discovered veganism after he saw a video produced by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). He immediately switched to a vegan lifestyle and started looking for ways to show other children how to make plant-based food choices. The award-winning entrepreneur has his own cookbook and his own TV show called “What’s Cooking, Omari?” on the children’s television channel CBBC.“To teach other kids how to become vegan? That’s not a challenge. All I have to do is like with my brother and my sister, Laquarn and Ciara, and they’re younger than me. And for me to get them to go vegan, I said that cow’s milk is pus, that they’re drinking cow’s pus. And then they stopped drinking cow’s milk and started drinking almond milk. And they wanted to become vegan like me, when I made them taste my vegan meals. It’s not really that hard to make someone become vegan.”When Omari’s vegan enthusiasm came to the attention of our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai, She cheerfully offered him the Shining World Compassion Award, “plus US$10,000 for his loving and kind endeavors, with gratitude and best wishes for continued success. May you and your loved ones be forever blessed in Divine grace.”Our Association members were pleased to present Omari the Award letter, crystalline plaque, and Master’s financial contribution, along with Her publications and DVDs.“Your influence cannot be underestimated. Speaking on high-profile media outlets, and with celebrities like Kevin Hart, children and adults alike pay attention to your message. You inspire people to look, listen and try. Thank you, Omari, you are our hero, here to help save the planet.”“What I’d like to say to Master Ching Hai is that She’s really inspiring, and I’d like to say thank You for the Award and the check. Thank You, Master Ching Hai, for this check and I really love it.”Omari’s parents also wished to express their thanks for the Award. “We’d like to say thank You so much for Your love and support for Omari. It has meant a lot to us. I’d like to thank You for giving us an opportunity to be able to give our child something that we couldn’t afford to do. Thank You.”Our jubilant congratulations, talented Omari McQueen and family! With all the best wishes, may your light of inspiration shine ever brightly to help more and more people be vegan and save our world. For the full presentation of the Shining World Compassion Award to Omari McQueen, please tune in to our Shining World Award program at a later date.Study finds alarming loss of species’ habitat. Scientists at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom found that the natural habitats of mammals, birds and amphibians have decreased by a global average of 18% as a result of the climate crisis and human land use. The researchers analyzed the geographical ranges of 16,919 animal species over the last 320 years and found that habitats shrank with increased greenhouse gas emissions altering the climate and large areas of natural vegetation being converted to farmland and cities. Projections showed that overall habitat loss could reach 23% by 2100, which in turn could cause species’ extinction. One of the solutions proposed was to encourage dietary shifts towards eating less meat. Our appreciation, University of Cambridge scientists, for these sobering findings and wise solution. In Heaven’s peace, may we all be vegan now to help preserve our cherished co-inhabitants’ existence.Up next, Australian engineers develop a robotic gripper inspired by elephants. We’ll just give thanks to the playwrights who weave creative stories for the stage that engage our thoughts and emotions. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more outstanding news.Hallo, nice friends, I’m Evan the vegan Martial Eagle. Why be ordinary when you can be extraordinary? Embody compassion and adopt the vegan lifestyle. It is difficult to prevent mud stains from getting on the carpet of your car, especially during rainy season. To remove dried mud stains, start by vacuuming up as much dirt as possible or pressing packaging tape against it. Next, rub the stains away using the side of a raw potato that is cut. The potato contains enzymes that will assist in disintegrating the dirt. Let the area dry and then use a wet rag to scrub off the marks. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for watching. And now, the weather around the world.Engineers from Australia develop a robotic gripper inspired by elephants. Director of the University of New South Wales Medical Robotics Lab, Dr. Thanh Nhỏ Đỗ, and his team have derived inspiration from the elephant’s trunk to create a soft fabric robot that can coil around objects and hold them in a similar way. With the strength to lift items 220 times its own mass, the new device is itself lightweight, flexible and suitable for picking up delicate and odd-shaped items thanks to its high sensitivity. It can also operate in a confined space to pick up items such as a pencil from within a tube, giving it an advantage over stiffer conventional counterparts that are claw-shaped. Potentially, it could be used in human rescue efforts and as personal assistant devices. The new robotic gripper is expected to be commercially available within 12 to 16 months. What a great idea and accomplishment, Dr. Thanh Nhỏ Đỗ and team. May smarter designs such as these soon become widely available while reminding us to appreciate Divine Nature’s awesome abilities.Japanese government to make recycling mandatory. In 2018, the Japanese corporate sector generated approximately 4.62 million tons of plastic waste, which was about half of the amount of the whole nation, and most of which was incinerated. To address this problem, the government will be requesting large companies to recycle their plastic waste, with April 2022 proposed as the starting date. The enterprises will be required to separate plastics from other trash and transfer them to a recycling company. Although small firms will be exempted from the obligation, they will also be asked to improve recycling efforts. Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, has committed to decreasing 25% of its disposable plastic waste by 2030. A grateful round of applause, government of Japan. In Celestial benediction, may all nations join in solving the serious global plastic issue to protect precious lives and the Earth.American graduate student climbs mountains for charity. Brittney Woodrum, a Humanitarian Assistance Program graduate student at the University of Denver, scaled all 58 of Colorado State’s 14,000-feet peaks to raise awareness and funding for global disaster relief charity ShelterBox USA. Her mission has raised almost US$85,000, to be used to purchase emergency supplies such as food, water, building materials, mattresses and blankets for families who have lost their homes and are especially affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. During the three-month project, Ms. Woodrum carried the nonprofit’s 6-kilogram green box containing essentials such as water, snacks and clothes, on her back. She remarked that when faced with challenges, including a snowstorm, the greater purpose of helping others through fundraising kept her going. A truly impressive feat, Brittney Woodrum. Heaven bless your kind dedication. Many thanks for your relief aid around the world, ShelterBox USA. May we always support brothers and sisters in times of need, in God’s love.Coming up, Swedish startup installs vegan food vending machines across the capital. We are going to take some time to appreciate Maqam, a time-honored vocal tradition from Iraq and a UNESCO-recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. More encouraging news coming up on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Caring News for a Graceful World.Vegan food vending machines installed in Sweden. After successfully installing its first vegan vending machine in Stockholm, Sweden-based startup VEAT Foods, founded in 2019 by Andreas Karlsson, will arrange for at least 10 machines to be put in places such as office buildings and department stores across the capital city by the end of the year. VEAT also plans to expand their locations to public transport, hospitals and universities, as well as introduce the machines to other European capitals in 2021. The delicious, reasonably priced plant-based meals offered at the vending machine, that include wraps, salads, reheatable meals, beverages and snacks, will be prepared daily in VEAT’s kitchen with locally sourced ingredients. The company, which recently secured approximately €500,000 in pre-seed funding, has had their meals created by prominent Swedish chefs, with any unsold food given to charity. Congratulations, VEAT Foods, and thank you for your commitment to making yummy vegan food easier to access. In Divine support, may the diet of benevolence continue expanding worldwide.France supports the protection of wildlife in Cameroon. The French government recently donated €990,000 to the 68,200-hectare Deng-Deng National Park in the eastern part of Cameroon. The funds will be used to help the park preserve its rich biodiversity, in particular, the gorilla and chimpanzee residents who have been adversely affected by construction and poaching. A management and sustainable governance system will be created to develop endeavors including overseeing the transparency of income received from water fees of the Lom-Pangar dam-reservoir. Our heartfelt gratitude, France, for your caring spirit and generosity. May conscientious Cameroon be blessed to have great success in your wildlife-preserving efforts.Let the worries of the world melt away. Join us forthe joke of the day entitled, “Fundraising Activity.”Boy Scouts were out collecting bottles for a fundraising activity. One ambitious but a little bit nervous young man knocked on a door and a sour-faced lady came to the door.“What do you want, sonny?”“D-do you have any non-alcoholic beer bottles for the Boy Scouts, M-ma’am?”“Look here, young man, do I look like the kind of lady who would drink this kind of thing?”“S-sorry, Ma’am. This will include increasing sampling and testing supplies, expanding surveillance, and supporting frontline workers with infection prevention and control. Since January 2020, CDC-deployed technical experts have worked closely with Kenyan health officials and the Public Health Emergency Operations Center, and provided training on necessary measures including risk communication and community involvement, laboratory diagnostics, port of entry screening and more. Field epidemiologists are also being trained in data collection and analysis conducive to evidence-based conclusions. Vulnerable students, including Syrian refugees, will be encouraged to take part in remote learning and later return to school. In addition, safe water and soap will be distributed to Syrian refugees in camps and distant areas. Furthermore, Jordan’s Ministry of Health will be assisted in providing nutrition and health services to mothers and children in underprivileged communities and refugee camps. We laud your kind assistance to our sisters and brothers in their time of need, Australia and UNICEF. I love eating vegan foods as it fills my heart with love. Be loving and become vegan, like me. Here is a tip for your backyard garden. Do you realize how important bees are? One third of all food grown on the planet depends on bees for pollination. Here’s another fact: Bees get thirsty! You can help by providing them with fresh, clean water. Sounds easy enough, but actually our little buddies will be extra grateful if you give them something to sit on as well. Just get a shallow pan, put in enough marbles or pebbles to cover the bottom and then add some water. The bees will be able to land on those tiny islands and drink safely. Thank you for tuning in. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. And now, the worldwide weather.Cleaner air in Europe may have saved thousands of lives.A report by Finland-based Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air has found that in the 30 days preceding April 24 of this year, 11,300 air pollution mortalities were likely averted due to the European coronavirus lockdowns. With people staying at home, the researchers found that nitrogen dioxide (NO2) pollution, mainly caused by road traffic and coal burning, fell by about 40% across Europe. A 10% decrease in particulate matter pollution was also observed. The study, which covered 21 European countries, estimated that 1.3 million fewer absences from work, 6,000 less new cases of asthma in children, and 600 fewer pre-term births were potentially due to the lower pollution levels. We are encouraged by your informative analysis, Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air. In God’s great wisdom, we pray that European policymakers prioritize clean air for the betterment of our world and her people.Satellite imagery helps researchers detect marine plastic.Earth Observation scientist, Dr. Lauren Biermann and colleagues from United Kingdom-based charity, Plymouth Marine Laboratory, dedicated to a sustainable future for our oceans, used data from the European Space Agency’s Sentinel-2 satellites to detect floating macroplastic patches in the ocean. Based on infrared light waves reflected from various objects and previous research from the University of the Aegean in Greece, the team was able to employ an algorithm to differentiate plastics from natural materials. The method was tested on the coasts of Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, Canada, Ghana, and Scotland, and accurately detected plastic at an 86% average rate. The scientists hope that their research will be used with drones and high-resolution satellites to assist clean-up operations and improve the monitoring of marine plastic pollution. Thank you, Dr. Lauren Biermann and all researchers involved, for this valuable discovery. May we all take part to reduce plastic waste and protect ocean health, in Divine guardianship.Virginia, United States family returns almost US$1 million of found cash. After coming across two large bags on the road during a family drive with their two sons, Emily Schantz, a schoolteacher, and her husband, David, later examined their contents and, realizing they contained cash, called the local police department. The couple had originally put the bags in the back of their truck, thinking they were trash and not wanting them to be an obstacle to any other driver. When officers began investigating, they determined that the almost US$1 million belonged to the postal office and was lost on the way to a bank. Ms. Schantz commented that they had to “do the right thing and return it because it didn’t belong to us.” What uplifting news, the Schantz family! God bless. May your honesty inspire many people to do noble deeds in a kind and caring world. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Elatedly present Emily and David Schantz the Shining World Honesty Award, with a big salute and praise for your exemplary honest conduct, plus a US$10,000 gift, if allowed, for the children’s college fund. May Heaven protect you and yours in all times of need. Group hug and big love.”Coming up, Canadian study finds vegan diet boosts athletic endurance. We’d now like to appreciate the inventors of useful items like book holders, that help us keep a better posture and read scriptures and other books for longer periods of time. More praiseworthy news coming up on Supreme Master Television.Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Joyful News for a Smiling World.Study shows vegans have better endurance.A study by researchers from the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada, and published in the Nature Research Journal, has shown that vegans get all the nutrients needed to be healthy and in fact have higher stamina than meat eaters. The test involved 28 women, who were vegan for a minimum of two years, and 28 women who were meat eaters. All the participants had a similar body composition and were required to perform strength and endurance tests as well as log meals for three days. The vegan women could perform the tests for an average of 12.2 minutes, while the meat eaters could perform them only 8.8 minutes, giving the plant-strong eaters an extra 3.4 minutes of exercise time before running out of energy. Way to go, University of Quebec in Montreal researchers and study participants, for proving that a vegan diet benefits physical endurance by a large margin. May the tremendous advantages of the plant-based diet for body, mind and spirit inspire a global shift to vegan living, in Heaven’s eternal radiance.Indonesian rescue center gives hope for the future of orangutans. The Sumatran Rescue Alliance, a newly formed orangutan coalition, will establish a 100-hectare rainforest rescue and rehabilitation center in North Sumatra, Indonesia. The facility is for orangutans liberated from the illegal wildlife trade as well as orphaned members of the species. Comprised of Australia-based The Orangutan Project and Indonesian partners, the Orangutan Information Centre and the Centre for Orangutan Protection, the Alliance plans for the intelligent primates residing at the facility to be released when ready. They will join the world’s most successful colony of rehabilitated orangutans in the protected Bukit Tigapuluh Ecosystem in eastern Sumatra, thus, helping to ensure the continuation of their species. The center will also have a permanent rainforest home for those orangutans not capable of living in the wild. A standing ovation, Sumatran Rescue Alliance. May the loveable orangutans flourish, as humans everywhere respect and protect God’s precious beings in all amazing forms and species. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Thankfully present the Shining World Compassion Award to the Sumatran Rescue Alliance, along with a US$10,000 loving contribution for your benevolent, lives-saving cause, with much love, gratitude and best wishes. May Heaven forever bless and safeguard you and the cherished orangutans you help, in Divine love.”Let’s have a hearty laugh together with the joke of the day. The government of Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, has pledged approximately US$821,000 to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to help South Sudan strengthen measures against the virus. More than 50% of the funding will be used to improve access to clean water and hygiene, such as hand soap supplies. The contribution will also be used to teach about risks and involve communities in prevention methods, with a focus on protecting girls and women. Our heartfelt gratefulness, Japan, for your compassion. May the citizens of sunny South Sudan be shielded in Heaven’s blessings.Scientific study shows that human beings are generous in a variety of circumstances. Research conducted by sociologist Dr. David Melamed and his colleagues at The Ohio State University in the United States found that people choose to help each other, no matter what motivations may influence them. Scientists have previously determined several motivators for generosity, such as returning someone’s act of kindness, giving to someone who was nice to a third person, and paying a kind act received forward to someone else. In this online study involving more than 700 participants, these multiple motivators were combined for the first time, to mimic complex real-life scenarios. Scientists were pleased to find that people still wanted to help others, even at a monetary cost to themselves. Thank you for your valuable findings, Dr. Melamed and colleagues. May humanity’s selfless, kind nature prevail evermore, in God’s goodness.Up next on Noteworthy News, Romanian city adopts green energy bus. It’s scientifically proven, well, you know it already. So go ahead, go vegan, be smart! Today, we are honored to have a tip from our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai: “You can save the outer fruit wraps such as these to cover other sensitive soft fruits when ripe and you’ve not yet had the chance to eat, cover your mobile phone extra when traveling, glass items when packing, any small fragile things when moving, etc… Be safe yourself; pray Heaven shield you. Love you a lot.” Our forever love for You, Supreme Master Ching Hai, and thank You for this resource-conserving recommendation. May Divine Godses always protect You. Thank you all for tuning in, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Researchers from Flinders University in Australia have discovered a new kind of rubber polymer, created by mixing sulfur and canola oil at 180 degrees Celsius. The resulting powder can be used to make rubber coatings and tubing, for instance, or combined with materials such as recycled PVC plastic, unused plant fibers or sand, to produce various construction items such as bricks, concrete replacement and insulation. In the process, the polymer particles can also purify water. Such a marvelous green discovery, Flinders University scientists. In Heaven’s wisdom, may your research help move us ever closer to a circular economy, where all items are continually reused, for a tidier planet.Young Canadian humanitarian walks to help others have clean water. Ten-year-old Finley Johnston of Westport, Ontario, Canada has walked a total of 351 kilometers over several months and thus raised over US$3,100 for Canadian charity Ryan’s Well Foundation. Established in 2001 by another young Canadian, then six-year-old Ryan Hreljac, the foundation provides safe water and sanitation to nations in Africa by building wells. Finley’s journey was inspired after meeting Ryan and reading a book about the plight of children in other countries without easy access to water. After learning that many girls in Africa must give up their education and walk long distances to obtain water for their families, Finley became determined to help through his own symbolic walk, at times braving unfavorable weather conditions. God bless you, Finley Johnston. We salute you and Ryan’s Well Foundation for your dedicated and caring efforts for the less fortunate. We pray that all our human brothers and sisters will have access to necessities, in the kindness of the Providence.Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Lovingly present the Shining World Compassion Award to Finley Johnston, plus US$10,000 in praising support of your benevolent efforts for others through Ryan’s Well Foundation, with lots of love and gratitude. May you and all involved be forever blessed in Divine protection.”Coming up, more vegan meal options available in United Kingdom.
