In today’s news, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai presents Shining World Award for Earth Protection to Dr. Sailesh Rao for working to transition humanity to a vegan world, UNICEF commends countries for releasing children in detention during COVID-19 pandemic, olive waste turned into heating fuel in Syria, university in Scotland, UK, finds three plants effective against COVID, elementary school student in United States fundraises to cover classmates’ lunch expenses, startup in Japan creates animal-people-free wool, cashmere and more, and researchers in Finland study mental health of canines.

In Shining World Award for Earth Protection News from the United States…

Dr. Sailesh Rao is the brilliant, creative, and caring founder of the nonprofit Climate Healers. A systems engineer by profession, Dr. Rao shifted his focus in 2005 after seeing a television presentation made by the former US Vice President, His Excellency Al Gore, a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection recipient.

“I was so shocked. I said, ‘If half of what he’s saying is true, I’m wasting my time working on the internet.’ I quickly realized that compassion for all beings is the core of any solution to climate change. I’m a systems engineer. So, I’m working on a system of normalized non-violence that can be implemented throughout the world that would allow a vegan world to flourish, because right now we have a system of normalized violence, where war is normal, killing of animals is normal, and diseases are normal, destruction of the planet is normal, because we make money through death, disease and destruction: death for the animals, diseases for human beings, and destruction of the planet. And so, we can actually now create a new system that works on the exact opposite, that actually encourages people to show compassion to all life and creates a system around love, not fear. The best and fastest way to solve the global warming crisis is for humanity to go vegan. There is nothing that comes close to what that can achieve.”

With deep admiration and appreciation for Dr. Rao’s loving attitude and genius, our Benevolent Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Award for Earth Protection to Dr. Sailesh Rao with all praises, love and gratitude in God’s grace. May you be forever blessed with joy, long life and spiritual upliftment.

Our Association members in Arizona, United States, were honored to present the Award letter, crystalline plaque, and Master’s gifts, including Her publications and DVDs, to Dr. Rao.

An excerpt from the Award letter reads: “This Award is presented in recognition of your outstanding efforts, utilizing your brilliant creative skills and multidisciplinary approach to educate the world of the damaging effects caused by the meat diet. Your loving, caring concern for our Earth heralds the arrival of a Golden Era where Enlightened Saints bless our planet with wisdom and skill. You published a report showing that animal livestock raising creates 87% of annual human-made global greenhouse gas emissions. Factory farmed animals consume over 80% of the food grown on the planet, and their yearly methane output causes more incremental global warming than the carbon released each year by all fossil fuel sources combined. You stated that changing to a worldwide plant-based economy, meaning all animal products are replaced, could capture 2,000-plus gigatons of carbon in regenerating soils and vegetation, lower atmospheric greenhouse gases to safe levels, and restore biodiversity.”

Dr. Rao had this thankful message for Supreme Master Ching Hai. “I’m grateful to You for all the work that You do around the world. I’m truly honored to be standing side by side and working with Your organization and You on this work towards a vegan world by 2026. So, thank You for Your support, thank You for Your encouragement, and thank You for this Award.”

Our heartfelt congratulations, Dr. Sailesh Rao. We applaud your research and continued efforts to bring peace and harmony to our world that help to make humanity aware of the very short time it has to change our planet’s direction. May the Heavens bless you, and may people now embrace plant-based living so we can all enjoy well-being and abundance in a vegan world.

UNICEF praises nations for freeing detained children amid COVID-19’s spread.

In a new study, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) reports that at least 84 countries have released over 45,000 children in detention. This result follows UNICEF’s global call in April 2020 to release detained youngsters because of the risk of contracting COVID in usually confined and overcrowded facilities. Lauding the nations, UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore said that the governments have helped advance “innovative, age-appropriate justice solutions.” According to the publication, more than 261,000 children are held in detention centers worldwide, which are usually cramped and lack adequate nutrition, healthcare and hygiene services. To respect and protect the rights of youngsters, UNICEF is calling for the reform of juvenile justice systems and an end to youth detention. Our earnest appreciation, involved respectful nations, Henrietta Fore and UNICEF. May we always safeguard the rights and well-being of our young brothers and sisters, in the care of the Providence. Animal-people-eating religious leaders r accomplice murderers.

Up next, olive waste turned into heating fuel in Syria. We’ll just thank the funeral speech writers, who write touching eulogies in honor of people who have recently passed away. When we return, more beneficial news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Hooray, treasured friends, it’s me, Banks, a vegan darling from the Babirusa (Deer-pig) kingdom! Greeting the smiling sun every morning elevates my happiness levels for the day ahead! I have a driving safety tip for you. Decrease your chances of getting into an accident by focusing on the road and not talking on the phone or texting while driving. The likelihood of getting into a crash is four times higher when you are talking on the phone. This results in greater than a million accidents yearly in the United States, which equates to 20% of all car collisions, including ones that lead to injuries and death. Pull over if it is necessary for you to take or make a phone call. Furthermore, did you know that sending a text message while driving uses up 5 whole seconds of your attention? Scientists have calculated that this means your chances of getting into a crash increase 23-fold! They also found the risk is the same whether you type a text message or “voice text.” Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe.

Syrians create heating fuel from olive waste.

Some citizens from the town of Armanaz, in the northwestern part of Syria, are using olive pulp waste, which is left over from the process of making olive oil, to create a fuel, called “birin,” to heat their homes and factories. Previously, people throughout Syria used diesel, but the price has become too high, and it’s not always available. The new fuel is free to produce and uses a designated machine to press the olive seeds and pulp into rods, which are then left to dry in the sun for 15 days. Once dry, they can be burned, and the environmentally- friendly fuel is an affordable way for people to stay warm during cold winter days and nights. Our praises, clever Syrians, for your ingenuity and eco-friendly, affordable method of heating. In the Grace of Allah, may the warmhearted citizens of Syria always have sufficient food, fuel and shelter.

Scottish university scientists finds three plants that may effectively treat COVID-19.

Researchers from the University of the West of Scotland in Scotland, United Kingdom, in collaboration with international peers, have found that chamomile, olive leaf and broccoli all contain potent antiviral compounds that could be used to develop medications that could counter the effects of COVID-19. Medicines derived from these natural substances would be cost-effective, and the team is moving towards pre-clinical trials. Currently, about 70% of the world’s antivirals and antibiotics are obtained from natural sources. Well done, researchers from the University of the West of Scotland and partners, on your discovery of potential new sources for COVID-19 treatments. In God’s immense Kindness, may your trials yield success as we heal our global co-citizens with plants.

Second grader raises money to pay for classmates’ lunches.

After seeing that some students in her class were not able to afford school lunches, seven-year-old Emauni Jeanise Manley from Maryland, United States, talked to her mother, Rosalynd Manley, who is a teacher at the school. They started a fundraiser on Facebook. Within a week, the caring duo exceeded their initial goal and raised more than US$4,300 to pay for the lunch accounts of Emauni’s classmates and other students. Emauni’s school principal praised her kind efforts to help those in need. The multi-talented youngster is also a model, clothes designer and author of the book “What Do I Look Like?” that promotes pride and confidence in oneself. She was also crowned Junior Young Miss Maryland International 2021. We gratefully applaud your caring hearts, Emauni and Rosalynd Manley. In Celestial delight, may you continue helping your peers in need and inspiring others to improve the lives of our precious children. Vegan: the termination of global warming.

Coming up, startup in Japan creates animal-people-free wool, cashmere and more. We’ll pause for a moment to remind ourselves that crying is a normal emotional response as it not only is a means of expressing our joy and excitement but also plays a role in our well-being by releasing our anxiety, fears and frustrations. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Informative News for a Knowledgeable World.

Japanese biotechnology startup creates animal-people-free wool and cashmere.

Biomaterials firm Spiber has developed a Brewed Protein platform to create fermentation-derived materials such as wool, cashmere, leather, fur, silk and more that are completely animal-person-free. Made from sugars and microbes, the substances have attributes like the softness and strength of their animal-person-based counterparts. Spiber’s products are also completely biodegradable and use far fewer resources than the animal-people-based materials. After a recent US$300 million round of funding, the company will open a plant in the United States that will be in operation by 2023, which will be in addition to a manufacturing facility in Thailand that opened in 2021. Way to go, Spiber, on your ingenious technology to produce animal-people-free materials while allowing our co-inhabitants to live their lives in peace. In the loving guidance of the Buddha, may your efforts help to usher in a new generation of vegan fabrics that are good for all beings and the planet.

Finnish researchers investigate impulsive and hyperactive behavior in dog-people.

University of Helsinki scientists in Finland recently conducted a study of 11,000 people from the dog kingdom to determine the cause of inattention, impulsive behavior and hyperactivity. These conditions were found to be similar to the neurodevelopmental condition attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in humans and were linked to several factors. Male and young dog-persons were more susceptible. Breeds that have traditionally been used as working dog-people have inbred high levels of hyperactivity and impulsivity but also do have good concentration. It was also found that canine-persons who spend a lot of time by themselves, lack attention from their human companions or do not get sufficient exercise were prone to these symptoms. Our accolades, University of Helsinki scientists, for your helpful study on the mental health of our canine-people friends. In the love of the Divine, may all dog-persons be cared for with lots of love, attention, vegan food and exercise to thrive.

Let’s jump right in with today’s joke of the day, entitled, “Not Prohibited.”

A fit young man was at a lake and decided to take a swim. He saw a security guard looking at him but he decided to swim anyway. After putting on his bathing suit, he quickly dove in.

“Sir, swimming is prohibited in this lake!”

“Then why didn’t you tell me when I was changing?”

“Well, changing is not prohibited...”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Erika in Costa Rica:

Greetings to Master, wishing that Master is in good health and that She can rest well. I would like to tell Master that we are always very grateful for Master’s tireless work for us and for all sentient beings. I am taking this opportunity to share with Master an idea that could be promoted through Supreme Master Television if Master considers it convenient. Now that the world is suffering from COVID-19, and people cannot greet each other by kissing on the cheek, or shaking hands, the idea is to promote on Supreme Master TV that we can greet each other by having palms folded together and bowing, as we do in the meditation center, to greet our fellow disciples. Erika from Costa Rica

Thoughtful Erika, We are pleased to be able to air on Supreme Master Television your idea that shows respect to all those we meet and trust many viewers will appreciate this method of greeting. Thank you.

Here is Master’s reply to your thoughtful initiative: “Shining Erika, such a wonderful idea for many reasons. Similar to your suggestion, “namaskar” is an Indian greeting that is often accompanied by the gesture of folded palms. The symbolism in the coming together of two hands over the heart is also uplifting, or can just bow your head like Japanese style. I send you a big hug, my dear, and may Universal Love unite us all and bring miracles to you and the good-natured Costa Rican people.”

No 2 vegan: only good people choose it.

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal-people clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline

We sure have enjoyed spending time with you on Noteworthy News. May you and your cherished ones be blessed with peace, joy, and compassion.
