In the spring of 1993, Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) visited Europe as part of Her World Lecture Tour. Belgium was among the destinations, where a rare and meaningful gathering took place. During this visit, disciples of His Imperishable Glory Bambi Baaba (vegetarian) traveled from Africa to pay their respects to Supreme Master Ching Hai. They arrived with a humble yet deeply symbolic offering: the first bananas harvested from a plantation made possible by Supreme Master Ching Hai’s earlier support. Bambi Baaba was the visionary founder of the Sserulanda Spiritual Foundation in Uganda and an advocate for an eco-friendly spiritual city in East Africa. Under His guidance, His disciples embraced vegetarianism and worked selflessly to build roads, schools, hospitals, and businesses while deepening their spiritual practice. Reflecting the deep spiritual connection He shared with Supreme Master Ching Hai, His Imperishable Glory Bambi Baaba expressed this bond in a heartfelt letter, writing: “Your act has built the Most Fortified Bridge of Spiritual Construction. I feel as if my soul has been liberated!! In fact, my work is done. I’ve prepared this Place for You. I’m waiting for You — the High High Ones — to come and reconverge here and help resolve the Stiff, Hard Karma that’s been locking up the Poor Souls seeking Liberation! From here, we send You the Purest Spiritual Vibration.” — From Ssessamirembe City, Bambi BaabaMoved by the heartfelt words of Bambi Baaba, Supreme Master Ching Hai expressed Her appreciation for His purity, humility, and spiritual depth, as well as for the sincerity of His followers. She then wrote a personal letter in response and personally handed it to one of His disciples. We are pleased to present this 10-part series titled, “From Africa with Love,” a memorable gathering with Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) and the followers of His Imperishable Glory Bambi Baaba (vegetarian), which took place in Brussels, Belgium, on April 28, 1993.
