Have you got good cleaning habits? Today I’d like to offer a DIY tip for vacuum users. You can make a handy vacuum cleaner attachment by repurposing a 2-liter plastic soft drink bottle. Start by cutting off the top section of the bottle, around 10 to 15 centimeters down from the lid. Take this cut piece and place it over the edge of a rectangular thick wooden plank. Make sure the opening fits snugly over the plank. Using a heat gun, gently soften the plastic so it molds around the plank. Once it cools down, the plastic will hold a narrow, flattened form. Now remove the plastic from the plank and unscrew the bottle cap. Around the threaded area where the lid was, wrap several layers of insulation tape. You can now fit the vacuum cleaner hose over this taped end. Your new attachment is ready to use. Perfect for cleaning under furniture, behind appliances, or any narrow spot that’s usually hard to reach.
Now, it’s time to enjoy a healthy dose of laugh medicine as the joke of the day has just come to visit. It’s called “The Fax of Life.”
The voicemail system at work endlessly puzzles Hector. He could never understand how it works. Finally, one day he broke down and called the office operator to walk him through it.
“I can send you an instruction sheet.”
“Great, please fax it over.”
“Absolutely! But you’ve got to fax it right back. It's my only copy.”
