It’s not like you became enlightened, then just like that all the people come to you, bow to you and offer fruit and flowers and then you just rescue them. You have to do something first, so that the Lord of Karma like, certifies you, thinking you are good enough to take some souls from his domain. Even not just in past lives but the present life as well, you have to suffer for them also, or new ones. It depends on how many people, and it depends on what kind of people also.
