In today’s news, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai lovingly presents Shining World Compassion Award to animal rescuer from Malaysia, Japan helps increase social safety in Yemen, research finds ocean health could recover in one generation, Guinea supported in solar energy development, government leaders reduce own wages in New Zealand, biotech company produces vegan alternative ingredient in United Kingdom, and United States-based dog rescue saves lives in hurricane aftermath.

In Shining World Compassion Award News from Malaysia…

78-year-young Chan Mee Fah is the Founder of Mee Fah Shelter for animals in Semenyih, Malaysia. Operating on funds left by her late husband, the sanctuary is currently home to approximately 1,300 dogs, 60 cats, 40 tortoises and a monkey. Ms. Chan’s goal is to achieve non-governmental organization (NGO) status in the near future, which will enable public funding to help support her loving rescue. God has always been with me all the way. I've never been let down and everything has been met with great success. This is an area where I least expected to do because I've always been doing professionally a lot of people things, not four-legged. I was a former real estate agent. I've been a reporter, salesperson. So, I look at it, that this stage in my life, God said, “Okay, after all the superficial things, you better come down and realize that there's something else that you can do, before you meet me! For her noble work and devotion, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai heartfully presented Chan Mee Fah with the Shining World Compassion Award plus a caring donation of US$15,000. Our Association members in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, were honored to present the Award letter, crystalline plaque, Master’s publications and DVD’s, as well as Master’s loving contribution to Ms. Chan. “This Award is presented in recognition of your unconditional love, sacrificing your possessions to benefit our precious animal friends. Your benevolence heralds a new golden era of empathy, where all of Earth’s co-inhabitants can live in harmony.” “I have heard of the Great Master a long time ago, and I always felt, wow! What a great person to have this area of influencing people to live according to what it should be like – which is to love and to be vegan. So, I would like to say that I’m very, very touched and very honored to have been picked from so many people, to receive this award. In fact, it’s confounded me. And personally, I feel it is a great, great honor.” God has come down to the shelter in Rinching in the form of Great Master Ching Hai, to come and touch all my four-legged and say, “You have been very blessed.” Our heartfelt congratulations and gratefulness, Chan Mee Fah and all staff members at the Mee Fah Shelter. May Heavens bless you and all the animals you care for.

Japan supports women and girls in Yemen.

Japan has donated over US$800,000 for initiatives by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to help safeguard vulnerable and displaced girls and women in three governorates of Yemen.  Thanks to Japan’s contribution, two shelters and three community centers will be supported.  Additionally, more than 5,000 women and girls are expected to benefit from services including psychosocial support, legal aid and protection. Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection, and Generosity laureate, has been praised by UNFPA as one of the most long-term and key supporters in Yemen. Our appreciation, Japan, for your care and generosity. Many thanks also, United Nations Population Fund, for your vital work. May the gentle people of Yemen live in peace, dignity and safety as we are reminded once more that we are all one human family, in Celestial unity.

Up next on Noteworthy News, research finds ocean’s health recovery feasible within a generation.  We give thanks to the diagnostic medical sonographers, who produce patients’ ultrasonic recordings to help doctors assess and treat their conditions. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more pleasant news.

Hi, energetic friends, I am Eugene the Emperor Shrimp! Before having my vegan picnic, I’ll share a little tip with you. Drying clothes in the sun saves electricity and money. Sun-dried clothes are also cleaner and fresher, as the ultraviolet rays of sunlight have a disinfecting and bleaching effect.  You can use the sun’s bleaching power to whiten towels, tablecloths, sheets and white shirts. However, as for dark-colored clothes, make sure not to leave them in the sun for too long to reduce discoloration. Thank you for your attention and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe.

Global study identifies path to restoring the ocean back to healthy levels.

In a study published in the journal Nature, leading marine scientists from 10 different countries have determined that with concerted efforts, the ocean’s ecosystem could recover within 30 years as it is remarkably resilient. The researchers pointed to the successes of previous conservation efforts that saw the recent rebounding populations of humpback whales, seals and sea otters. They further recommended that the international community work to mitigate the climate crisis and stop pollution and overfishing. The study’s leader, Professor Carlos Duarte, said, “One of the overarching messages of the review is, if you stop killing sea life and protect it, then it does come back. We have a narrow window of opportunity to deliver a healthy ocean to our grandchildren, and we have the knowledge and tools to do so.” Thank you, scientists, for your hope-filled roadmap to return the planet’s oceans to their former glory. In Heaven’s grace, may we respect all ocean beings, for our own and our future generation’s survival.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) supports solar energy project in Guinea.

Through its Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa, the AfDB approved a grant of almost €762,000 to assist rural regions in accessing electricity. Finances will be used to install 57 off-grid solar systems in Guinean villages, thus benefiting approximately 30,000 households and 100 small businesses, in addition to providing employment to nearly 100 people. The grant will also make environmental and economic impact studies possible of solar projects identified in the country’s “Least Cost Electrification Plan.” Since 2007, the AfDB has helped provide access to electricity for approximately 500,000 people in Guinea, while curtailing the country’s carbon dioxide emissions by more than 3,200 tons per year. Gladdening news, African Development Bank, and thank you for your continued support. May the goodhearted people of Guinea flourish evermore as a green nation, in Divine light.

New Zealand government officials reduce their pay during pandemic.

The New Zealand Prime Minister, Her Excellency Jacinda Ardern, plus top ministers of the government and some public sector heads, decided to reduce their own salaries by 20% for six months, starting immediately. Her Excellency’s salary will be reduced by US$28,000 and cabinet ministers’ wages by US$16,000. This act of unity recognizes New Zealanders who have been affected economically and/or are unemployed due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic. New Zealand is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Peace recipient and a Shining World Leadership Awards for Earth Conservation, Earth Protection, Earth Guardian, Climate-Change Mitigation, and Earth Restoration laureate. Bravo, Your Excellency Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand Ministers, and others involved, for your kind act showing solidarity with your fellow citizens. In Heaven’s love, we pray for a quicker end to the COVID-19 pandemic, with world governments solving the issue at its root by banning all animal products.

Coming up, biotech company produces vegan alternative ingredient in United Kingdom. We’ll pause for some time to be thankful for all the opportunities we are given to make nobler choices in life. We’ll be right back with more exceptional news here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Informative News for a Knowledgeable World.

United Kingdom company launches animal-free version of flavor-enhancing enzyme.  Biocatalysts, a biotech company that develops and produces specialty enzymes, has created a non-genetically modified microbial lipase called Lipomod 888MDP, serving as a substitute for the lipase derived from the pancreas of pigs. This new vegan ingredient is made from a fungal preparation and is effective at taking apart complex fats to enhance the flavor of savory foods.  This new development came in response to the current spread of the deadly African swine fever, sadly affecting livestock pigs in India, South Africa, Poland and other countries. A big thanks, Biocatalysts, for creating this cleaner, useful alternative ingredient for the food business. May we continue to awaken to the dangers of the virus-rampant livestock industry and transition to the safer vegan lifestyle, in God’s wisdom.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue (BDRR) aids dogs in Hurricane Dorian’s aftermath.

Having saved 40,000-plus canines around the world since its founding in 2009, BDRR based in Loxahatchee Groves, Florida, is the United States’ largest cage-free and no-kill dog rescue. Following Hurricane Dorian devastating the Bahamas in September 2019, the BDRR team extricated a dog named Miracle who had been trapped under an air conditioning unit and building rubble for three weeks. Barely alive when located by an infrared drone, Miracle received intensive medical treatment and rehabilitation and was adopted by a loving family after he recovered. While in the Bahamas, BDRR saved over 162 dogs, reunited 69 of them with their caregivers, delivered more than 45,000 kilograms of pet food and medical supplies, and helped rebuild the Bahamas Humane Society. Our warm gratitude, Big Dog Ranch Rescue!  May Heaven protect you on your missions to save our cuddly dog friends, and may all your residents find forever homes filled with love. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Thankfully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Big Dog Ranch Rescue, plus a US$15,000 loving contribution to support your benevolent, lives-saving work, with much love, gratitude and respect. May all involved be immensely blessed, in God’s grace and mercy.”

Time now to enjoy the joke of the day entitled “Pedaling.”

During a fitness class, a trainer asked everyone to lie on their backs with their legs up as if pedaling a bike. After several minutes, one man suddenly stopped.

“Why did you stop pedaling, Stanley?”

“I didn't stop,” he said, gasping. “I'm coasting.”

And now we have a heartline from Do Yu Jin in Korea:

Hallo Master, I am Do Yu-Jin, and I live in Daegu, Korea. It’s been three months since I got initiated. Thanks to Your Blessings and Love, I feel that my life is getting better every day. Thank You. Recently, in an online community in Korea, a composer held a contest for lyrics about veganism; I participated in it. Inspired by the words written on the hat which You have designed, I wrote vegan lyrics. The lyrics are as follows: ♬Are you waiting for the hero? Are you waiting for someone to show up and save the world? Many prophecies are waiting for the hero who is to come in the future. It is not far away. You don’t need to wait. You’re the Hero who is Vegan and brings peace to the Earth. Vegan, Vegan, Vegans are heroes. A true hero of our times who saves animals and saves nature. A hero we’ve been waiting for. You will be remembered. We’ll all remember. A true hero who saved the planet. Vegans are heroes ♬ As soon as I wrote this,  I got goosebumps all over my body, and I thought it was like the lyrics that You gave me. It's a lovely morning. Always be healthy, Master. I love You. ♥

Do Yu-Jin from Korea

Cheerful Do Yu-Jin, We enjoyed your heartening lyrics and hope you have the opportunity to write more appealing vegan melodies.

Master has a message for you: “Creative Do Yu-Jin, Your song is cool! May all the world’s people become real heroes by just being vegan. Thank you also for your kind well-wishes. Heaven’s love and light to you and esteemed, united Korea.”

We welcome your heartlines and stories.
