Korean violinist Won Hyung-joon was a child prodigy. He won numerous competitions. In 1990, he represented Korea to perform at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Switzerland. In 1996, he performed at the UN General Assembly Hall where the theme was World Peace. Such performance inspired him to direct his musical career towards the goal of Korean reunification. Mr. Won explains the positive effects of peace concerts, and why he continues to realize a joint concert: “Meeting with music itself goes beyond any ideologies, politics, and religions. Words cannot express how much impact it can bring about. "
