On today’s show, we are honored to present selections from the teachings of Quetzalcóatl (vegetarian), who calls us to awaken from life’s illusions through conscious suffering, patience, and inner work, urging unity beyond divisions and reminding us that true growth begins within.
1-ABOVE ILLUSION
“And one of them told Him: Beloved Quetzalcoatl, who comforts us with the breath of Your wisdom, tell us why is it that our hearts wish to feel the beating of Your words? What could we do to escape from this illusion that we call life, and break its attraction over us, and break its spell over us?
And then He said: Only the one who makes a nightmare out of his dream, is able to wake up. Because how can one who makes it nice and through dreaming fulfills all his desires, be able to wake up? That is why the ones who suffer consciously are closer to Awakening, while the ones whom life treats with pampering are farther.
Life is nothing but a prolonged and continuous desire in many desires which become interwoven with the others and justify themselves in their mesh. And Awakening to Life is nothing else but becoming aware above illusion. Everything that is brought to us through the hand of evolution, we can make either good or bad; what makes something good or bad is only the way it is used.
You will only become more aware through that which you do by conscious effort, with more or less knowledge. This will make possible for you to reach one day the degree of Objective Reasoning, necessary to leave the School of the Earth and go to another School, where you will be able to enlarge it because the degree of Objective Reasoning is the one measure which levels all beings in the Universe. This Reason only becomes Essence in those beings who, due to their evolution, have reached the degree of indispensable impartiality, in order to be able to extract from any fact occurring to them the necessary pure knowledge for the shaping and harmonization of their bodies.
Such process can only be initiated through conscious suffering and through working on yourself, and what you do is not as important as it is to know why and what for you are doing it. And to this end, it is necessary to start towards knowing yourselves, because otherwise you will keep going in circles, just as the donkey keeps turning the treadmill thinking that it is moving forward.
When life becomes unbearable and you understand it is but a terrible nightmare, nothing else will be left but the awakening, the becoming aware and deciding to work “on yourself”. Wish for the Living Master. He will find you, wherever you are.”
2- JUST STRETCH YOUR HAND
“After that magic moment when the day kisses the night on the top of the mountains, and the Moon has shown itself behind the horizon, and the sky has been sown with Stars, and silence has come walking on tiptoe and has sat to rest under the tree on the way of Tula, Quetzalcoatl was talking thus to those who were with Him:
If you know how to wait, the tree will bear its fruit without violence. All you will have to do is to stretch your hand, and by touching it, it will fall off surrendering in by ripeness. What causes the impatience of those who go to the tree and shake it, and hit it, and twist it, so it may loosen its fruit?
And after they have taken it into their hands, they see it unripe and once tasting it, feel it sour and say: This is a bad tree, let us cut it down! And I would tell them: Great are those who know the moment and become prepared for it, and small are those who, due to their blindness believe everything is blind. Let us be prepared to receive the offering of the fruit of patience.”
3- ABOUT COMMUNITIES
“In that time, many had founded communities and schools, and many were attracted by them, and then some disciples asked Him: What can You tell us about these communities?
And He answered like this: You must know there is only one community, which is man kind, and that there is only one goal, which is Love. Be careful when forming communities that instead of helping to unite you will separate you from this community, and rather than raising you will paralyze you with their norms, principles, and laws. Be from everywhere, and think that life itself will give you an adequate body for each existence, in the right place in this community, for your evolution and learning.
Don't become united from the outside, become united from within yourselves, because the world is your home, and the Stars of the sky are your roof, and the physical body you are wearing is your only dress. What is the use of dressing your body with colorful dresses or shapes which will attract attention to you? Isn't this by any chance a way to separate yourselves, and to sow separation even if only in the minds of those who look at you? What is the use of saying: I am this or I am that? Don't you sow separation already even if only through words?
Be prepared in order to help everyone, even if they are still at their own level, and see as good only those who are at their own level. You must be at all levels, and in this way you will be objective while thinking and pondering each one of your brothers of the world, and will understand their limitations, and will understand their elevation. Because if you are separated by skin color, or by a doctrine, or by a thought, or by a name, what value will Love have within you, if such insignificance makes you go back?
Don't impose anything over anyone, and don't say mine is better, or ours is better, because such arrogance and vanity will move you away from the Truth. Simply talk through actions, and without trying to surpass your brothers, because that one of you considered the smallest may be your Master in humbleness and resignation.”
