In today’s news, additional assistance given to underserved in Laos, climate change-induced droughts cause worldwide reduction in hydropower generation, researchers in Canada detect diabetes from people’s voices, engineer from Türkiye develops software to monitor carbon emissions from vehicles, renowned CEO of National Football League team in United States sets example of vegan living, animal-people free confections takes hold in India, and local law enforcement officers in South Africa rescue stray dog-person.
Today I have a tip on how to help your child improve their sleep pattern. Sleep researchers found that a regular bedtime routine leads to longer and better sleep for kids. Having a good night’s rest improves concentration and learning, as well as energy for play and having fun! A bedtime routine is a simple series of calming activities in the same order and at the same time each night. Soothing bedtime activities should start about 20 minutes before going to sleep and may include quiet playtime, a cozy story, an open conversation on their day or the coming day’s plan, and sometimes just tucking your child in with a goodnight cuddle and kiss. At the end, it is important to signal it's time to sleep, say goodnight, turn off the lights, and leave. Keeping bedtime routines consistent helps your child feel prepared for sleep. While it may take a few weeks, this positive approach improves settling, reduces nighttime disruptions, and strengthens parent-child bonds. Remember that bedtime routines can change and will become more flexible as your child gets older. Sweet dreams await!
Now, it’s time to tap the good mood screen to activate the joke of the day. It’s entitled, “Useless Man.”
Two friends are in a veg coffee shop.
“I broke off the engagement with Jeff!”
“Oh, I thought you need a man for a shoulder to lean on.”
“I was wrong. He likes to lean on my shoulder just for anything!”
“How about when you said that he is big and strong, and you could use his arm and leg muscles for doing the household chores?”
“I was wrong again. He is using mine all the time!”
And now we have a heartline from Quỳnh Nga in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:
Dear Beloved Master, I thank You very much for all the things that You have been doing for me and humanity. Everything I have is bestowed by You and is from Your Grace and Blessings, because I know very clearly that I could not do anything by myself. Even a smallest decision, I still asked You for Your opinion. And I always gained good results or narrowly escaped disasters.
Recently, with the dire situation of the world, I feel that this life is truly impermanent. One time, I saw on my phone a picture of a Ukrainian (Ureignian) soldier, who was about 50-something years old. At that age, he is supposed to rest after so many years of devotion, but now he has to pick up arms and is lying on the street in the cold. And all of what I know from Supreme Master Television about the world makes me feel a little confused. I have not found the right path for me for my future. I hope that I will be guided and blessed by Master so that I can go in the right direction to benefit others, live a monastic life, and return to the Pure Land when I die.
Best regards to our Beloved Master! Quỳnh Nga from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)
Sensitive Quỳnh Nga, We are grateful to receive your message of appreciation to Master.
Master has this loving reply just for you: “Humble Quỳnh Nga, I was deeply touched by your tender words. I feel your sincerity and understand your confusion about the future, as the uncertainty around the world’s fate is concerning to us all. But you must know that the Master Power is always with you, and no matter what, we will keep going with our love and courage, shining the Buddhas’ benevolent Light into this world and to everyone we meet. This is the only way through the darkness. The way we bring Heaven to Earth is to be Heaven-like when we are on Earth. Thus, it extends to others so they can see it. Have hope, my love, and be brave. You have Buddha Nature inside you, and that Light will never go out, in this world and beyond into eternity. I love you, and I am with you forever. May you and the upright Aulacese (Vietnamese) people always remember the Grace of the Divine.”
