So He (Bodhisattva) came back and said to His child, “I am your father.” The child believed Him and didn’t question Him. He said, “I see that you are in a difficult situation, so I’ve come back to help you. Now pluck one of my feathers.” His body was covered with golden feathers. Real gold. He was not an ordinary swan-person, but a Bodhisattva. He plucked a feather. “Every day you can pluck one feather and sell it. Then you can live a comfortable life.”

Children are pure, so it’s easier to communicate with them. Adults don’t believe in magic or anything out of the ordinary. That’s why sometimes people don’t listen to my lectures. Because I am not ordinary.

So it’s not that animal-people are not lower than humans. It’s not. Some are. Some become animal-people because of their bad karma, so that they can repay it. They are different. Animal-people by nature are not necessarily lower than humans. You see, some of them have more power than we do. My dog-person also has magical power…

I thank you all. (Thank You, Master.) If you offer your service sincerely, you will be rewarded. It’s not that you want it, but it will come naturally. If you want it, I don’t know if it will come or not. …I mean do it naturally. Only those who naturally offer will receive merit. (Yes.) And it will be beneficial to our spiritual practice. We don’t do it to gain merit. Doing these help our spiritual practice. If we keep wanting to do this or that in order to gain merit, then we won’t have it.
