Santa Claus’s Reindeer

From Sikhism’s Holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib: Guru Nanak, Pages 347-353 Part 1 of 2

Compassion and humility were the hallmarks of the great enlightened master and founder of Sikhism. Born in 1469 in Punjab, India, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji traveled far and wide by foot, making long trips from as far as Mecca to present-day Myanmar, to share his simple message: Do honest work, meditate, and share with others. The peaceful and loving path of Sikhism has appealed to many devotees around the world. In global communities, many Sikh practitioners continue with their noble spiritual lineage of vegetarianism, meaning an animal free diet. Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s wisdom and teachings, along with the gurus who succeeded him and those of other saints and masters, are embodied in the holy text of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Currently housed in the most sanctified Golden Temple in Amritsar, India, the poetic, divine compositions form the basis for the sacred scriptures of the Sikhs.

Not every Buddha has affinity with many beings in order to come and deliver them or teach them. Shakyamuni Buddha, lives after lives, asamkhyeya eons, has done a lot benefit to many beings in Heaven as well as on Earth. That’s why when he became Buddha, he had a lot of affinity with many people. Therefore, he preached, and they listened. It’s not like if you want to save beings you just become Buddha. Buddha gave his flesh, gave his money, gave his country, gave his wife and children, offering charity all the time, countless of eons, so that’s why when he became Buddha, he was able to preach to these people and they listened.

From Cao Đài’s Divine Path to Eternal Life, Chapter 2, 3

Over 80 years ago, a new religion was founded with the name Cao Đài in the country of Au Lac (Vietnam) and has quickly grown to become the third largest religion in this country. Cao Đài recognizes that the ultimate goal of all true religions is the same; to teach humankind to live peacefully and compassionately with all sentient beings, and to realize our divine origin. The term Cao Đài literally means “Supreme Palace,” referring to the place where God reigns over the universe, and was also the name God used to impart Hiers divine instructions in the creation of Cao Đài. Followers of Cao Đài believe that Venerable Ngo Minh Chieu was chosen by God to establish the Cao Đài religion. It was believed that God directly transmitted the teachings and method of practice to Venerable Ngo Minh Chieu until he attained the ultimate self-realization.

From Zoroastrianism’s Sacred Avesta: Yasna 31-32 of Ahunavaiti Gatha

Zoroaster was a prophet who lived in eastern lran around 1800 BC. The teachings that emerged from his visions of God have become known as Zoroastrianism. Zoroastrian theology’s main tenets include the existence of one God and the personal happiness or reward that is the natural outcome of using one’s free will to formulate good thoughts, good words and good deeds. Respecting all life, Zoroaster was himself a pure vegetarian and forbade all animal sacrifice. His universal philosophy is believed to have influenced Greek thought and major revealed religions of the world. The sacred scriptures of Zoroastrianism are collected mainly in Avesta.
