As mentioned in the previous episode, Hawaiian mythologies, history, genealogies, and traditions were passed down from generation to generation through chant, or “oli,” and accompanying dance called “hula.” Today we are honored to have on our show Kumu Hula (master hula teacher) and choreographer, Ms. Nawahine Kuraoka. Ms. Kuraoka is here to share with us her knowledge of the beautiful hula dance. “We all got to love hula as much as we love our family, as hula is part of our life. And hula is not just hula. Hula is life for us. Everything is Hula.” “We talk about the ancient ways of hula Kahiko with ipu, ipu heke and the pahu drum. And we use these instruments to dance ancient hula.” “Everything is alive, living plants, living hula, that’s what we do. Living hula each and every day, from morning to sunset. We thank God each and every day with ‘pule’ or pray to give thanks for all that we have. That's why I tell a lot of people, ‘Don't take for granted where you live, that we are so lucky, so lucky!’”

Michelle Carrera is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit organization, Chilis on Wheels. Her son, Ollie Carrera, is the Co-Founder and Director of Kids Outreach. Together, they run a free vegan food delivery service for the homeless, Chilis on Wheels, which has quickly blossomed into a substantial charitable organization, with thirteen chapters around the United States, from New York City to San Diego, all the way to Honolulu and Puerto Rico. They estimate that over thirty-eight thousand vegan meals have already been served, and that number continues to grow. Michelle believes each meal builds relationships that will sustain and support people in the future. They also give out free personal care items that are not tested on animals. They also organize clothing drives to offer free clothing, blankets, personal items, etc. These events bring the community together with a message of compassion for animals and kindness for all species. Upon learning about Michelle and Ollie’s noble efforts, our beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai stated “gratefully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Michelle Carrera and Ollie with love and a humble US$15,000 contribution towards their noble work, in God’s blessing. May you inspire more people to show their love in action for each other.”

Today, we continue with “Book 2” from Marcus Aurelius’ “Meditations.” While emphasizing the ephemeral nature of all things, the wise emperor highlights the importance of focusing on one’s power within, and respecting the Divine reality of the present. “You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say and think. If the gods exist, then to abandon human beings is not frightening; the gods would never subject you to harm.” “And how man grasps God, with what part of himself he does so, and how that part is conditioned when he does. Nothing is more pathetic than people who run around in circles, ‘delving into the things that lie beneath’ and conducting investigations into the souls of the people around them, never realizing that all you have to do is to be attentive to the power inside you and worship it sincerely.” “To worship it is to keep it from being muddied with turmoil and becoming aimless and dissatisfied with nature - divine and human. What is divine deserves our respect because it is good; what is human deserves our affection because it is like us. And our pity too, sometimes, for its inability to tell good from bad - as terrible a blindness as the kind that can’t tell white from black.”

Four thousand years ago, a small port town was founded on the Euphrates River. The humble Babylon grew into one of the largest cities of its time, eventually serving as the capital of the Neo-Babylonian Empire, a beautiful, mighty center of art, architecture, and science. Home to the Hanging Gardens, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, as well as an important reflection of ancient Mesopotamian civilizations, Babylon was designated as a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site. The Babylonian cities were centers of great learning and produced writings on medicine, astrology, and mathematics. The ancient Babylonians had a mathematical system based on 60. Our current time division of the minute and the hour into sixtieth parts is an inheritance of this principle. Zodiac signs and zodiac figures were also passed down from ancient Babylon. The Lion of Babylon, a 2,600-year-old black basalt statue of a lion, remains in place. The statue symbolizes the strength of Babylonians and appears as an official emblem and in seals for both government agencies and private companies. Certainly, the extensive history and legends of magnificent, creative Babylon continue to inspire artistic, popular, and philosophical culture around the globe.

Today we are bringing you back to Munchies to meet with Ms. Evita Ramparte, the Development Advisor of Munchies. “And years ago, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I was much, much bigger then, and sick, pimpled, in pain, unattractive and so on. And once I fasted and went on a vegan path of life, I healed pretty fast. In 4 months, I lost 83 pounds, and I became a model a few months later, and I became a vegan activist, promoting health and alternative healing for the world. So, Munchies is meeting people where they are with compassion, with understanding. We need to create food for children. And get that generation back into a plant-based lifestyle.” Mr. Raul Paiste elaborated more about his plant-based journey and what it has brought him in terms of spirituality. “I basically started meditating and I realized at some point that we are all, actually not just connected, but we are actually one. So, if I harm you, I harm myself, and I harm everyone else by that.” Not only does veganism bring about a spiritual awakening, but it can also stop the global climate crisis, thus saving our planet and humanity.

Marcus Aurelius was a Roman emperor of the 2nd century, also known as the last of the Five Good Emperors, after Nerva, Trajan, Hadrian, and Antoninus Pius. During his 19 years of leadership, Aurelius gained a reputation as a philosopher king. Founding his beliefs on the teachings of Stoicism, the Roman emperor was also diligent in finding his own way of self-improvement. Marcus Aurelius wrote personal notes and ideas on Stoic philosophy and spirituality as a source of guidance for himself. These notes, originally written in medieval Greek, formed a collection titled “Meditations.” We’ll now explore “Book 2” from Marcus Aurelius’ compilation “Meditations.” Unwavering are the wise notes given by the philosopher, reminding us during our limited time on Earth to live a more simplified life. “At some point you have to recognize what world it is that you belong to; what power rules it and from what source you spring; that there is a limit to the time assigned you, and if you don’t use it to free yourself it will be gone and will never return.”

In previous episodes, we learned that “Year Zero,” the year our planet could be destroyed, is 2026. However, we can prevent this apocalypse by making one simple change: global adoption of the vegan lifestyle. Only in this way can we prevent “Year Zero” from happening. “So, this is going to be over. And then most people are going to flip when social pressures flip the other way and many people start being vegan, and it starts being an actual thing.” “It’s inevitable that their industry will go away. It will end. The planet can’t sustain it, and human consciousness will not go along with it. We're evolving too quickly.” “Vegan companies like Beyond Meat’ are now going public, and this is where the smart money is going. We are hitting the tipping point.” “We represent a worldwide movement, and we will not relent until total animal liberation is achieved!” “We do have a chance to reverse climate change. People are in alignment with this mission. They will listen to us. If we say, ‘If we just reduce consuming animals, we can actually bring back the forests.’” “The moral position is to resist this and to end it.”

The Tenderloin neighborhood is one of the most economically challenged districts in San Francisco, California, USA, where many people are struggling to get by. In 2004, community activist Shelly Roder and the Reverend Father Louis Vitale created a program called “The Gubbio Project,” now a non-profit organization. Through this initiative, the St. Boniface Catholic Church in the Tenderloin and St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco’s Mission District provide daily temporary shelter to the homeless along with comforting items like blankets and services such as massages and foot care. The churches allow the homeless to have what Father Vitale calls “sacred sleep” inside church walls. The homeless are also invited to attend Mass and pray for guidance from Jesus Christ. This special arrangement provides a message of friendship - everyone is part of the community and deserves respect and kind treatment. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Compassion Award to each the Reverend Father Louis Vitale and The Gubbio Project plus US$20,000 to The Gubbio project as a token of love to further its heartfelt assistance to San Francisco’s homeless.”

“It’s not the pandemic that I am in pain. I’m in pain because they will go to hell and be tortured down there forever. Or at least for hundreds of years. It depends on how much meat you eat. The one who creates this world and captures the souls, he counted every centimeter of your wrongdoing, every morsel of meat that you consumed. Would not let go. I forgive humans who sin if they repent. The Law of Heaven. I could forgive all of them, it’s just that they have to make their own part also. One percent part only, and I do the 99%. If they just repent in their heart, that’s it, they will go to Heaven. Repentance, sincerely.” “Master, if we all went TOTAL VEGAN, how quickly would the energy change, of this world? And would the virus completely disappear?” “It will change almost immediately. It’s just that what is already on will have to carry for a while, but shorter than if it hasn’t. Even if they have to go through this sickness now, [if] they turn vegan, in the future we don’t have any more pandemics or epidemics anymore.” “How can those who serve God be better tools for God?” “Humble, grateful, respectful. Respectful for your Master. She represents High Heavens. She represents God Almighty. You must respect. And you will have more merits, more beautiful happenings in your life, more happiness, more léger, more lightness, more improvement in your meditation, and in your work, in your talent, anything. And then, humble. That respect and gratefulness are also included in humility. So, humility – one word. Humble – humbleness.”

In the Holy Bhagavad Gita, the Venerated Lord Krishna tells His cherished disciple Arjuna: “Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and an increase in unrighteousness, O Arjuna, at that time I manifest myself on Earth. For the protection of the good people and the annihilation of the evil-doers and to fully establish righteousness, I appear millennium after millennium.” Supreme Master Ching Hai also has said that She has been coming to our planet many times over the ages, to deliver humans from suffering and teach them the righteous spiritual path. “I do whatever I can. Whatever position, we can always help people in various ways, according to the higher plan. If the Master stays in some country or some area, and then begins to raise the people consciousness, or people will come to get initiation and raise their own consciousness as well, then of course, war will be minimized and peace will be more evident. I do anything or I incarnate anywhere, it’s all because of the working together with the universal plan and the karmic pattern of the world in that specific time.” “I have even a couple of extra bodies which are not even with me, like in different countries, to do different things for me. Because, one body is not always enough. I mean physical body, I don’t mean manifestation body. They’re just doing my job, but they don’t know that they are a part of my plan or of my physical manifestation, even.”

Mother's Day is a very joyous occasion for those who still have a mother. In Japan, if you still have a mother, they have a tradition to come out and give you a pink carnation or a pink rose. And if you don't have a mother anymore, they give you a white one. The one who receives the pink carnation like this one, feels very happy and appreciative of their fortune that they still have their best friend in the world. Well, apart from the father as well. And the one who receives the white carnation feels sad and praying and remembering the mother and pray for her wellness in Heavens, and thinking of all the beautiful times that they spent with the mother and thinking of all the sacrifices that she made to bring them up, to nurture them, to teach them right from wrong, to protect them from all the unfortunate things that might happen to them in this world. There's no end to what a mother can do, would do, or has done for their children. Any living beings have parents. Let's pray that very, very soon all of them can celebrate Mother's Day in peace, safety, and happiness, just like we do today. Let's pray that our world will be awakened soon to realize that motherhood doesn't belong only to the human race, but belongs to all beings. So, let's pray that one day all of us, all of the world people and the universal beings realize that as we love our mothers, all other beings also love theirs. And let's hope, let's pray that one day very soon, all beings will try to protect this sacred motherhood, respect, sacred motherhood everywhere in all the universes, then we will surely, truly be happy in our heart and we will truly celebrate motherhood and truly celebrate and appreciate Mother's Day. Let's pray to all the mothers, whether they are here or in Heavens or elsewhere in all the universes, will have peace, will have love, will have protection, will have safety and happiness wherever they are, in God's mercy.

"Master, we have some questions regarding the COVID[-19] pandemic." "This is an energy. This angry energy, this unbenevolent energy in the world, because of the karma that we made. And Heaven also feels very, very furious over our treatment to each other and the lesser beings like animals." "The mask doesn’t help 100%, but it helps somehow. Actually, this is just physically speaking. You have to really have good merit, benevolent merit in order to protect yourself. But we do what we can in the world, we do what we think is logical, is the best. But still wear the mask, wear the face shield, wear hat, wear gloves, if you absolutely have to go out." "People's lives are at stake. Many doctors died; many nurses died already. We cannot just let it be for nothing and blame each other, wasting time. Have to be united and find a cure as quick as possible. Pray also. Even the government or anyone should pray to Heaven for more leniency, so that they can find a cure quick to save lives. And be vegan. Advise everyone to be vegan. That’s the best solution. Not blaming each other." "Don't eat animals anymore. Then we don’t have this animal transmitted disease at least. It’s so obvious. We have mad cow disease from cows. We have pig disease from pigs. We have fish-something disease from mercury, from fish that’s undetectable, that’s incurable as well. Or salmonella from eggs. We have bird flu from chicken, etc., from other fowl species, etc. So, it’s all from animals up to now. Up to now, all of the terrible diseases and epidemics, pandemics we've had are from animals."

We now continue with Dr. Rudolf Steiner’s engaging and detailed elaboration on the path of discipleship. The admired philosopher delivers caring advice on how one can get in touch with one’s higher Self in order to live a more enlightened life of true inner freedom and completeness. “Outward circumstances can only alter the course of his outward life; they can never awaken the spiritual inner man. The student must himself give birth to the new and higher man within him. The higher man becomes the ‘inner Ruler,’ who directs the circumstances of the outer man with sure guidance. As long as the latter has the upper hand, this inner man is enslaved, and cannot therefore develop his powers. If another than myself has the power to make me angry, I am not master of myself, or, to put it better, I have not yet found ‘the Ruler within me.’ I must develop the power within, of letting the impressions of the outer world approach me only in the way in which I myself choose; then only do I really become an occult student. And only by earnestly striving after this power can a student reach the goal.”
