Friends of Eternity - A Special Gathering with Supreme Master Ching Hai and Cherished Artists, Part 22

Friends of Eternity - A Special Gathering with Supreme Master Ching Hai and Cherished Artists, Part 22

And now, ladies and gentlemen, we have Kerry Walsh-a greatly accomplished soprano and flutist, who has graced our stage of many of our Association’s concerts over the years. Today, she will be sharing a few words and performing for us with her charming son, Michan. “And I’ll tell You a secret, Master, I have been dreaming for years of coming to see You in Formosa (Taiwan). So, I just feel this is absolutely spectacular. And what an evening and so much entertainment. And everything that everybody has been saying all night about how we have to just stop eating meat or the world is going to implode. And Master has spoken about how we’re blessed, and we get points and are blessed by so many living creatures in the universe, and by the stars and by everything that exists. So this is one of my hopes, is that people will grow some more compassion muscles, and that eventually that will lead to more veganism and more humane treatment of our fellow humans. And We’re going to begin with a Bach sonata.” “Oh! I really loved the sound. The flute is so beautiful. The sound is so beautiful.”

Conscientious Governments, Conscientious Citizens: Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada (Part 11)

From 1995 to 2018, Cambodia’s economy has enjoyed an annual growth rate of 8%, making it one of the fastest growing economies in the world, thanks to robust garment exports and a prosperous tourist trade. Cambodia also protects its natural resources. Veganism is also rising in Cambodia. In the capital city Phnom Penh alone, we have 59 vegetarian-friendly restaurants. In 2018, Cameroon and its neighboring country Equatorial Guinea reopened their shared border, following a period of unrest. Trade has immediately improved and businesses of all sizes have received the benefits. The government is also helping rural farmers to gain more skills to earn extra income while saving precious forests. In 2019, Canada became the 160th member of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). Also, the eastern Canadian province of Nova Scotia granted almost 6,000 immigrants permanent residency status in 2018. A new study from Dalhousie University finds that over 2.3 million Canadians, or nearly 10% of the population, consider themselves vegetarian or vegan. That makes Canada one of the most compassionate countries in the world.

Overcome the Many Influences in Life Through Diligent Meditation, Part 1 of 3 May 5, Jun 30 & Sep 1, 2019

“In India, people are very simple and pure. Many of the Masters are married, have wife and children; sometimes don’t have children. But they also revere the wife of the Master. They don’t criticize, say, ‘Oh, Master, why have a wife?’ In most of the cases, the Master had a wife before becoming a Master. So, if the Master was not home, they came and sat in front of the wife of the Master, also looking at her for a Darshan. ‘Darshan’ means looking at the Master, reverently. And not just married, but some other instances, like the Master has an assistant, like Sri Aurobindo, as an example. Sri Aurobindo had a French female assistant, and they, the disciples, the followers also revered her and called her ‘Holy Mother.’” … “OK. I like those that are warm in the winter, cool in the summer and eco-friendly.” “Wow. Eat everything. The kitchen will be very happy. That means a compliment. Thank you. See you.”

Christ Consciousness: Excerpts from the Edgar Cayce Readings, Part 1 of 2

Internationally known clairvoyant Edgar Cayce was called “The Sleeping Prophet”due to the seemingly “deep sleep” he entered before he started a prophecy. Born in Kentucky, USA in 1877, Edgar’s psychic abilities first appeared as a child. Today we’ll explore some of Edgar Cayce’s insightful readings about the Worshipped Lord Jesus and the Christ Consciousness which awaits to be awakened in everyone by the sacred, all-creating Word of God. “Ye are made strong, – in body, in mind, in soul and purpose, – by that power in Christ. The POWER, then, is in the Christ. The PATTERN is in Jesus.” “In the Christ Consciousness, then, there is the oneness of self, self’s desires, self’s abilities, made in at-onement with the forces that may bring to pass that which is sought by an individual entity or soul....” “Not that this is not attainable, but one grows to that consciousness in the application of the faith in and the consciousness of being at-one with the Divine that is within....”

Learning to Communicate with Plants: Interview with Mr. Alexandre Ferran, Part 2 of 3

His original experiments were conducted with indoor plants, with whom he could communicate almost immediately. Later, he began to experiment with trees in the forest. “And the trees and wild plants who are much more autonomous, they tolerate us. We need to realize that, in fact, they would just need to decide, and we would no longer be here.” Mr. Ferran explains that although plants and trees are sedentary, they protect and support one another in subtle ways. He believes that we can learn a great deal from their way of life. “I think they’re much more advanced than we are in their understanding of the world.” Besides, it’s part of the tree’s messages. “He says, “Telepathy is the system of communication between us and we talk to you. You just don’t want to listen.” Supreme Master Ching Hai reminds us to be highly respectful of all beings on Earth. Several times She has told us that plants and trees have inner powers, and that they are able to protect and communicate with us.

Master the Mind to Fully Manifest Buddha Nature, Part 3 of 3 Mar. 3, 2005

Master the Mind to Fully Manifest Buddha Nature, Part 3 of 3 Mar. 3, 2005

Do not be too proud if you are successful. Because if you are too proud or too confident, you could do wrong. So, always be very vigilant about what you think, and what you do. Otherwise, it’s always messed up, not just your life, everybody else’s life, understand? Every time we do something wrong, we cause karma. And if you do something wrong against me, that is worse. On top of that, you mess up with the whole world’s life and karma, and everything. You obstruct the mission of the Master, and that influences the whole planet, or the whole universe even, and your karma is huge, do you understand? I told you already, it’s easier to get a Buddha than to train the mind. So do not have an illusion that when a person becomes a Buddha, he is perfect already immediately. So, don’t poison him further than he’s already suffocated with. Not too much praising, not prostrating, leave the Buddhas alone, or he’ll die quick. You have to practice like there is no tomorrow for you. It’s all about inside things; it’s not the outside.

Prophecy of the Golden Age Part 74 - Zoroastrian Prophecies about Saoshyant, Earth's Final Savior (Zoroastrianism)

Prophecy of the Golden Age Part 74 - Zoroastrian Prophecies about Saoshyant, Earth's Final Savior (Zoroastrianism)

Today, we will begin exploring Golden Age prophecies from one of the world’s oldest surviving religions, Zoroastrianism, telling us about the Savior, descending from Lord Zoroaster’s lineage, who would come to end all suffering and renew our world. According to another Zoroastrian text, the Bundahishn, the end time’s difficult trial would culminate with a comet called Gochihr, that would strike the earth. “Then all men will pass into that melted metal and will become pure; when one is righteous, then it seems to him just as though he walks continuously in warm milk; but when wicked, then it seems to him in such manner as though, in the world, he walks continuously in melted metal.” “This planet, there are many good people, so if you, the Karma god, wants to eliminate the bad ones, then just take them only and leave all the good ones here. You can’t just punish the whole planet for a handful few. And that’s why sometimes it’s kind of rushing, rushing. The war broke out and stuff like that. It looks like man-made, but it’s not. It’s the Cosmic Power that causes all this happen to purify the planet.”

His Holiness Marpa Lotsawa (vegetarian): Remarkable Tibetan Buddhist Master, Part 3 of 4

One of Marpa Lotsawa’s principle disciples was Milarepa, who became one of the most well-known and beloved of the Tibetan saints. Before becoming Marpa’s disciple, Milarepa had committed many negative actions. He knew that He needed to practice Dharma in order to atone for His past sins and attain Buddhahood. So, Milarepa was sent to Drowolung in southern Tibet to train with Marpa Lotsawa. The night before Milarepa got to Marpa’s house, both Marpa and His wife Dagmema had dreams that foretold of Milarepa’s arrival. “For several years, He seemingly made sure Milarepa went through many difficult tests. Later, His Master explained to Him, ‘I did that to clean You up. If it wasn’t for that, I wouldn’t have done all that.’” Finally, Master Marpa gave Milarepa initiation and the secret oral instructions of the teachings.

Master the Mind to Fully Manifest Buddha Nature, Part 2 of 3 Mar. 3, 2005

Master the Mind to Fully Manifest Buddha Nature, Part 2 of 3 Mar. 3, 2005

The Buddha is easy to train, the mind is not. So, it’s not every practitioner that is picked by Heaven to be a Master. It’s very difficult for a person who has grown up, became a Buddha, and also be obedient at the same time. Because, he’s not used to it! He became already a family man, and everybody in the family already listens to him. He is used to just telling everybody what to do, and then he doesn’t know what it’s like to listen. It’s very difficult to train your mind. I don’t care if you are a Buddha or not. It’s easier for me sometimes to use a non-Buddha. That’s why. I don’t ask you anything more. Very, very small things! And I really am happy if you do it. So, everything you do in life, do not think that it is a small thing. You just do your small things perfectly, and the world is perfect. Because, the world is made up of all these small particles of things.

“Prayers and Meditations” by Bahá'u'lláh (vegetarian): Sections 16 to 23, Part 2 of 2

The Arabic word Bahá means “glory” or “splendor.” The Bahá’i Faith rests on three main concepts, also known as the “three onenesses”: unity of God, unity of religion, and unity of humankind. These concepts emphasize that while the names for God as well as religions, and cultures may differ, all are equal and ultimately united as one. “Praised be Thou, O Lord my God! I am Thy servant and the son of Thy servant. I have set my face towards Thy Cause, believing in Thy oneness, acknowledging Thy unity, recognizing Thy sovereignty and the power of Thy might, and confessing the greatness of Thy majesty and glory. I ask Thee, by Thy name through which the Heaven was cleft asunder, and the Earth was split in two, and the mountains were crushed, not to withhold from me the breezes of Thy mercy which have been wafted in Thy days, nor to suffer me to be far removed from the shores of Thy nearness and bounty. I am he who is sore athirst, O my Lord! Give me to drink of the living waters of Thy grace.”

Ushering in the Year of the Golden Rat

00:13:45

Ushering in the Year of the Golden Rat

This year, 2020, is the “Year of the Golden Rat” and an exceptionally significant event as we return to the first sign of the Lunar Zodiac cycle! We are going to introduce some interesting Lunar New Year customs from several nations to our splendid viewers today. Around the world, more than a billion people celebrate the Lunar New Year and participate in various vibrant festivities. Within Korea itself, millions of people travel to be with family during this special time called Seollal or Korean Lunar New Year. Also, the breakfast on Lunar New Year day is traditionally rice cake soup or tteokguk. The act of eating this soup signifies that one is now a year older. What are some of the Lunar New Year traditions observed in China? People will put up spring couplets written on red paper inside and outside the home and conduct a thorough house cleanup, which represents replacing the old with the new. Also, after the meal, everyone comes together to usher in the New Year which also includes bidding farewell to the current year. This is a moment of cherishing the present time and welcoming the hopeful new year. It is called Tết and celebrated for an entire week! A notable tradition of the Aulacese or Vietnamese people is to thoroughly clean and then furnish their homes with all sorts of special decorations in anticipation of the most important annual event in Aulacese or Vietnamese culture.

Master the Mind to Fully Manifest Buddha Nature, Part 1 of 3 Mar. 3, 2005

Even if you are high level, you have to train your mind. Understand this? You’re high level because of God’s grace. It’s not necessarily always your merit. The mind, it’s never gone to the Fifth Level, understand? Can never! So, it’s not just that you have some billions of points, you become Buddhas, and that’s that. You have to remember to refine your character and to train your mind to be efficient in every way possible, and to direct the mind always into service, unconditional love. The soul is OK already. The soul, I take care. Now, you have to take care of your mind, your character, your heart, because it’s possible that even though you’ve become a Buddha, but your mind has stood still for a while, rusty, and you forget to be vigilant. To be Master of the mind.

Lunar New Year Fun

00:10:44

Lunar New Year Fun

Today is Lunar New Year, or the Spring Festival, according to the lunar calendar. It’s the biggest holiday for many Asian countries, such as Korea, China, and Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam. How do people celebrate this big holiday? First of all, it’s common for people to dress in brand new clothes. They often visit family and friends, in order to exchange gifts and well-wishes. For the Chinese people, as well as the Aulacese people, performing a lion dance is an important tradition; as it’s believed that lions bring good fortune, and chases away negative spirits. Would you like to try writing the character “Fu” (good fortune) in Chinese calligraphy? … Apart from writing Spring couplets in calligraphy, you can also try to make special red lanterns for decoration. Food also plays a major role during Lunar New Year. Food brings family and friends, both young and old, together to enjoy not only eating but also enjoying one another’s company. We can make all these amazing dishes vegan, and enjoy them all! My wish is to have more people eat plant-based food, so that all the animals will be happy too.
