Poetic Essays from The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, Part 2 of 2 - “Laws” and "Freedom"

“What shall I say of these save that they too stand in the sunlight, but with their backs to the sun? They see only their shadows, and their shadows are their laws. And what is the sun to them but a caster of shadows? And what is it to acknowledge the laws but to stoop down and trace their shadows upon the earth? But you who walk facing the sun, what images drawn on the earth can hold you? You who travel with the wind, what weather-vane shall direct your course? What man’s law shall bind you if you break your yoke but upon no man’s prison door? What laws shall you fear if you dance but stumble against no man’s iron chains? And who is he that shall bring you to judgment if you tear off your garment yet leave it in no man’s path?” “You shall be free indeed when your days are not without a care nor your nights without a want and a grief, But rather when these things girdle your life and yet you rise above them naked and unbound.”

Friends of Eternity - A Special Gathering with Supreme Master Ching Hai and Cherished Artists, Part 14

(Filippa Giordano) “So, I want to sing for You tonight some European amazing piece from ‘Carmen’ Bizet.” “Let me tell you the story about me and this amazing woman whom I had the privilege to meet. When I was in Cancún, 10 years ago, I was doing my show in Cancún, a public show, and I received an invitation. I didn’t know You at that time. But that day when I decided to become vegetarian was because of You when I met You. And it’s been hard in Mexico, let me tell you that. But I’m promoting, promoting, promoting everywhere that there are so many things we can do for the planet. And it’s not only about our health and the animals, it’s the whole thing that works.” “And tonight, I want to sing one of the songs with a vegetarian, historical legend virtually on a video.” “One more time before I say goodbye with the last song, thank you for all. If you know it, you just follow me with “Funiculì, Funiculà.”

Building a Peaceful Planet for All Beings – Be Vegan to Win with the Lewandowskis

Today’s episode from our series, “Building a Peaceful Planet for All Beings,” will feature the Lewandowski family, as a showcase of the dedicated citizens of the inevitable dream world we are building. Kristine, a 13-year-old vegan, competitive swimmer and animal lover from Switzerland has been a vegetarian/vegan since she was born. “It is rather easy, because everybody supports me and also, I have friends everywhere, who are also vegan.” As a nutritionist, Sonja shares some tips for all moms, on how to manage with vegan children. “The first tip I can give is that when a child comes and says: ‘I want to eat vegan!’ then it is entirely OK. And nowadays, the switch to a vegan diet is very easy. There are more and more (vegan) products, in restaurants, everywhere you go. It is possible to eat vegan. The second tip I can give, is that you can look up recipes on the internet, so you can convert your family’s favorite recipes into vegan dishes.”

Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 1 of 6 July 14, 2019

Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 1 of 6 July 14, 2019

What are four types? It could be also people; it could be also invisible beings; it could be also animals, pets. So now, I classify it all in four types of beings. Because we are all beings. The first type is very lucky for us if we have; they're called "Friends." "Friends" doesn't mean the social circle that you are in only; it could be your family members. So, friend is good for you. You will notice that they are very helpful to you, very coordinated with you. When you're with them, it's smooth sailing. And in our group, we have sixty-plus percent are good, truly, sincerely want to go Home and to practice goodness and to hear the Truth and try to implement the Truth in their lives. And the other thirty-plus percent are not so. And just like other Masters, when They came to our planet, They generously gave initiation and just giving everyone a chance to know this method and then to be able to practice. But not everyone took it seriously. The same with Shakyamuni Buddha. Even His cousin always tried to harm Him.

Poetic Essays from The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, Part 1 of 2 - “Crime and Punishment”

Born in 1883, Kahlil Gibran was an enlightened Lebanese philosopher, author, poet, artist and mystic, who immigrated to the United States when He was young. Published in 1923, “The Prophet” became Kahlil Gibran’s most famous work. Today, we would like to share with you the following excerpt from “The Prophet” by Kahlil Gibran. “And of the man in you would I now speak. For it is he and not your god-self nor the [small self] in the mist, that knows crime and the punishment of crime. ‘Oftentimes have I heard you speak of one who commits a wrong as though he were not one of you, but a stranger unto you and an intruder upon your world. But I say that even as the holy and the righteous cannot rise beyond the highest which is in each one of you, So the wicked and the weak cannot fall lower than the lowest which is in you also.’”

Angels in the Operating Room: Tricia Barker's Near Death Experience, Part 2 of 4

On today's program, Ms. Barker continues to share some of the many insights from her near-death experience. She begins by explaining how time is very different in Heaven. "It was only two-and-a-half minutes that I was dead. That realm is eternal, and that realm is without time." While in Heaven, God taught Ms. Barker many lessons about her life. One important lesson was to be kinder toward others. "I saw how I could have been nicer to people at work. I could have been kinder." Previously Ms. Tricia Barker told us that during her near-death experience she saw several angels, whose light helped to heal her. Since then, she has maintained a connection with the angels. "So, I remembered to call on God, to call on the angels and to use their guidance. I'm not 100% sure, but I do think that we have guardian angels. When I call on them for help, then they're there. So, they're certainly on my path with me."

Planting Benevolent Seeds in Children’s Hearts – Nepal’s Shree Lho Basic School, Part 1 of 2

The Reverend Acharya Sonam Dorje Rinpoche built the Shree Lho Basic School to take care of orphans as well as underprivileged and marginalized children by providing food and board while they receive an education. He also wished to incorporate the fundamental teachings of Buddhism into the courses so the children could receive moral guidance through this ancient wisdom to cultivate love and compassion. As it is a spiritual boarding school, teachers play an influential role in making Buddhism’s teachings close to the children’s hearts, along with providing attentive care to them and encouraging healthy lifestyle habits. "This is a very rural area, here almost 80-90% of the local population is uneducated. As these people here have their own hardships, and didn’t get a chance to be educated in their time. They wish to have hope for their coming generations to get a good education and do better in life." "The people residing in this school, located in a Buddhist area, do not slaughter animals for food, and hence everybody eats vegetarian food in this school. Conservation of animals, such as these is also emphasized in the books."

Understand Emotional Ties and Transcend Karma, Part 5 of 5 Mar. 1, 2005

“I haven’t seen my father for 20 years. I wonder if it is due to the karma, or is it good or not good.” If he did something wrong, you forgive him. Because our real Father is not even him. Everything works out just fine. Whatever happens, happens. It’s not your fault; it’s not his fault. Just the working of karma. Sometimes, he has only affinity with you for two days or two years or five years, and the affinity’s finished, he’s gone. Sometimes it’s good to forgive. It feels good. Otherwise, there’s a knot in there all the time if you don’t open it. Maybe just have a look at him, and talk to him. You don’t have to always see him, but no need to hate the person. At least, he is an excuse for you to come into this world, and then you meet spiritual practice.

Prophecy of the Golden Age Part 71 - Native American Prophecies with Chief Phil Lane Jr.

“It seems to me the kind Mother or kind Father would make sure that all our children had Teachers. And I believe there’s many we don’t even know about yet today.” In Her lectures, Supreme Master Ching Hai often has spoken about this truth that enlightened Masters have always come at every age to teach humankind. “And that’s what these great Teachers are coming to teach us about. That we are this.” Chief Phil Lane Jr. points out that similar prophecies of this special One are actually found all over the world. “And so if you talk about Pahana, as well, they also have the same prophecy from the Toltecs, Quetzalcoatl. They said about this spiritual Teacher’s coming from the East.” Similar to the prophecies about Lord Jesus Christ, Lord Maitreya Buddha, and others, the legend of the White Buffalo Calf Woman says that She would come back at the end of an age to purify and pacify the world. Coincidentally, the early 1990s is also when Supreme Master Ching Hai began traveling the world extensively to give lectures, sharing Her light, blessings, and love.

Poet-Philosopher Al-Maʿarri (vegan): Meditations On Life

Abu al-‘Ala’ al-Ma‘arri, a man of keen intellect and deep thought, is respected as one of the greatest Arab classical poets. When he was four years old, al- Ma‘arri was afflicted with small pox. The illness ultimately resulted in the loss of his vision. His unconventional wisdom and philosophy and his profound reasoning had led to a sudden surge in his reputation. He rapidly became a highly sought after poet and scholar. Al-Ma‘arri was also an example of compassion to all beings. He spoke out against the killing of animals and also the use of animal skins for clothing and other fashion accessories. Nearly a thousand years after his time on Earth, the spiritual verse from the sage-like poet and philosopher Al-Ma‘arri remains as relevant as the day it was written: “What shall it profit you, the vast amount of gold and grain you gather from the land, if you have laid no dominating hand on virtues that will balance your account!” Al-Ma‘arri is respected for his bold ideas, his independent spirit, and his unrelenting drive to uphold truth and justice for all beings.

Understand Emotional Ties and Transcend Karma, Part 4 of 5 Mar. 1, 2005

“Most of the time they are enemies?” You have to have something to stay together. So mostly it’s the enemy’s energy that makes you feel… strikes you. Like something’s there, so you begin to pay attention to that person. This is the force of karma! The guy is ugly, for example. But because of the karma, you think he’s the most attractive guy on the whole planet. Emotional bond is very strong. It’s not easy to shake it. Sometimes you get out of that relationship, and you pay something else. So, it's always a price. But sometimes it's the time you get out. If you feel really strong urge to get out, then that means it's time. Sometimes you want to get out but you can't, then maybe it is still too strong. But we are practitioners - you can be strong, strong will, and you have a lot of spiritual merit. You can pay a little bit for that so that you can get out.

From The Essene Humane Gospel of Christ: The Salvation of the World – The Birth of Yeshua, Part 2 of 2

We now continue reading from the Essene Humane Gospel about the holy birth and early years of Lord Jesus Christ. “And Joseph and Mary went into Bethlehem, the city of David. And Mary, heavy with child, brought forth her firstborn child in a cave, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger within the cave, for there was no room to be found for them in the town. And behold, the cave was filled with bright light as of the Sun, and it reflected the glory of many holy angels. And there proved to be in the cave also, an ox, and a horse, and an ass, and a sheep, and beneath the manger was a cat with her little ones, and there were doves also overhead, and each had its mate after its kind, the male with the female. Thus it came to pass that [Lord] Yeshua (Jesus) was BORN IN THE MIDST OF THE ANIMALS WHICH, through the redemption of man from ignorance and sin, HE CAME TO REDEEM FROM THEIR SUFFERINGS, by the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God, all those whosoever liveth according to the Holy Law.”

Friends of Eternity - A Special Gathering with Supreme Master Ching Hai and Cherished Artists, Part 13

We just heard angels sing today. So, so beautiful. Let’s give Giorgia Fumanti another grateful round of applause. “I’ve seen Your art and I’ve seen Your work and I’ve seen Your heart. And of all the three, I like the heart the best. There’s warmth and love and humanity.” Please welcome all the way from Mexico, Filippa Giordano. “Oh, You look so beautiful. You are so fashionable. Everybody says all sorts of things to You, but let me tell You, I love the way You dress and Your head and everything. That’s so unique because when you’re spiritual, you can be fashionable, right? That’s what I like. So we don't have to be shy of showing that we can have a deep heart, then we can sing and dedicate everything to God. (right.) Your staff is amazing. They take care of us and everything. They express love in every detail, that comes from the heart, that comes from the way they stare at us. It’s really so beautiful.”

Dr. William Grant on Bolstering Health Through Sunlight and Vitamin D, Part 1 of 3

Dr. William Grant on Bolstering Health Through Sunlight and Vitamin D, Part 1 of 3

Dr. Grant is an American physicist with a 30-year career in developing laser systems for remote atmospheric sensing and a former National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) employee. He became interested in health issues and, thus, in 2004, founded the “Sunlight, Nutrition, and Health Research Center” or SUNARC in San Francisco, California, USA. In this three-part series, we'll learn about the advantages of sun exposure, namely absorption of Ultraviolet B or UVB rays that stimulate the body's production of vitamin D, which has significant health-boosting effects. “In our book ‘Embrace the Sun,’ we did mention that sun deprivation can be as dangerous as smoking. That was based on a study from Sweden which followed people for 10 or 20 years and looked at mortality rates as a function of the amount of time they spent in the sun. Those who spent more time in the sun lived longer." In our interview, Dr. Grant stated there is overwhelming evidence that vitamin D created by Ultraviolet B ray exposure can prevent, and reduce the death rate from, certain cancers.
