Leading All to Be Vegan Will Bring Immense Merits part 2 (2/2)

Being an enlightened king or official like that, you should let everyone know. If people knew about it, they would have more respect and would listen to the government more. Even non-vegan people, when hearing of those who are vegan, they do show some respect, let alone big leaders being vegan. People will definitely listen. Then they would also follow in doing it. A leader has to have this responsibility. Knowing what is good, they have to set good examples. That’s called leadership. Same for government leaders. If you know something is good, of course, you should be open about it. First, you would gain people’s respect. Second, people will follow your example. Third, doing so is good for the country and good for the world. Being a vegan is very… It’s not about religion anymore, not even about politics. Now it’s about saving the world, saving the planet so that our children later on could enjoy it like we do now or better. We shouldn’t let it get worse, and then after we die, how haphazardly our children would live, we don’t even care. That would be irresponsible.

Buddhist Stories: “The Buddha's Past Life and His First Five Disciples” (Part 2 of 2) Aug 2, 2015

There are many in the Buddhist sutras; there are many nice stories. This is one of them. One time, the Buddha in maybe Varanasi, at that time, the Buddha was staying in that garden. Ananda kneeled in front of the Buddha and asked, “Please, World Honored One, how come the five persons have such a great merit to become your first disciples?” So the Buddha said, “At one time, a long, long time ago they were almost starving to death and I, myself - the Buddha – because of compassion, I cut my vein and gave them the blood so that they could drink and save their lives. Therefore at this time, they can be my five disciples. Because I promised them to enlighten them first.” There are other longer stories that recounted many more of the Buddha’s great deeds of compassion and offering. Many, many countless lifetimes. So that he can accumulate all this merit in order to attain Buddhahood. And something for the thought. To remind us that we have to be more diligent, more compassionate, more considerate to other people, if we want to be worthy of a human, not to talk about elevation into the heavenly kingdom.

Socrates on “Pleasure and Temperance” and “Of the Worth and Value of Friends” Part 2 of 2

Socrates on “Pleasure and Temperance” and “Of the Worth and Value of Friends” Part 2 of 2

There is nothing truly valuable which can be purchased without pains and labor. The gods have set a price upon every real and noble pleasure. If you would gain the favor of the Deity, you must be at the pains of worshipping Him; if you would be beloved by your friends, you must study to oblige them. If you would be honored by any city, you must be of service to it. Each man should consider how much he can be worth to his friends, and should endeavor to render himself as valuable as he can in their regard.

Take Eco-Action to Protect Our Planet (Part 2 of 2) August 1, 2015

The planet is getting worse and they're just not going anywhere. A thousand laws are not enough. Just stop slaughtering animals, stop the animal industry and then we can talk more. All the leaders should be vegan and stop all the animal slaughtering. Then they have more merit. They live longer. Their country will be more peaceful and prosperous. Because the leader is very important for the whole nation. So the leader should be absolutely tip-top in moral standard, compassion, loving, kindness. Every day I pray. I pray for the universe and for your world. For this world. Every day I meditate a lot, a lot with just one single attention - just to help with the higher energy from the Original Universe. Every day I thank the Councils and thank the power of God and the Cosmic for helping humankind to become more enlightened, more loving and peaceful.

A Donkey Lesson: Use Every Second to Meditate (Part 1) Aug 1, 2013

“It's just this year I feel is very different. I feel like things are easier, I feel like things have changed, things are lighter. So thank you. Master, I heard that Bill Gates, he's wanting to give money to vegan or vegetarian enterprises. Because he knows that, for the future for the environment, we need to be vegetarian. So he wants people to eat less meat. So if they can make good mock meat, he wants to give them money.” Wonderful. And I am very grateful to people like him, who are so big and then leading in this great movement. Then many people will listen, also. Wonderful, wonderful! Then our world can be saved. It's good news. Good news not because he gives money, but good news because he's such a great public figure, and then he leads this movement. Then it's very, very good for our planet. For our people, for our world. I thank him, by the way.

Learning from Animals' Noble Qualities (Part 1 of 2) Mar. 10, 2017

Even though these are human emotions, they were very sincere and pure, they were very, very precious. It’s just like the way animal friends love you. And when they die, you feel like you’re being cut with a knife. It’s an unthinkable, depressed feeling. Many people love animals very deeply, because they keep sending you a kind of love. When you feel upset, they know it and they would come to comfort you.

Challenges Train Us to Be More Enduring and Humble (Part 1 of 2) August 4-5, 2013

Any suffering just try to endure. Just look at it as a challenge to train our personality to become more patient and humbler. If we have faith in God, everything will be good at the end. Everything is good for us anyhow. If it’s not good, then it is because of our bad karma (retribution) from previous lives.

From the Sacred Tao Te Ching Ch1-14

From the Sacred Tao Te Ching Ch1-14

Throughout history, the spirit of enlightened masters has been the everlasting inspiration for artistic and cultural activities in the human world. Lao Tzu, the ancient master of supreme wisdom and boundless virtue is such an example. He lived in China around the sixth century BC. His teaching has benefited the land and the people with a very precious spiritual lineage and splendid cultural traditions. The Tao that can be trodden is not the enduring and unchanging Tao. The name that can be named is not the enduring and unchanging name. (Conceived of as) having no name, it is the Originator of heaven and earth; (conceived of as) having a name, it is the Mother of all things…

Leading All to Be Vegan Will Bring Immense Merits part 1 (2/2)

I encourage people to farm. If a country’s agriculture is stable, the people will be stable as well. “In Hebei Province, there is also a farmer who is 30 to 40 years old. He learned to farm with love. He doesn’t use any fertilizers. He can communicate with the birds, like sparrows, as well as insects. He says, ‘Please, don’t the crops on my land. I reserve this area for you to eat.’ All the insects and birds listen to him.” If we practice spiritually and have love, we can communicate with all beings. Our world needs more people like that. They don’t need to learn from me. They have love and are one with all beings. They are very compassionate. Then our world will be much better. The Dalai Lama is already a vegetarian, so everyone should be vegetarian as well. The whole Tibet should be vegetarian. All the monks should follow the Dalai Lama to be vegetarian. And all the Buddhists should follow the monks to be vegetarian. Then they can say they are sincere disciples.

From The Holy Bible: The Book of Proverbs - Excerpts from Proverbs 2-4 & 8-9

Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life. Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it. For those who find me find life and receive favor from the Lord.
