Selection from the Sacred Confucian Analects – Chapter 15, Part 1 of 2

Confucius is regarded as one of the most important and influential Masters in shaping human history. During His lifetime, Confucius traveled across many states of the Chinese kingdom and expounded on what would later become the basic tenets of Confucianism, namely, benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith. The philosophy presents five virtues that all humans should follow every day to live a harmonious and wholesome life. Confucius said, "A gentleman with lofty ideals and a man of benevolence will never seek to live at the expense of injuring their virtue. They will even sacrifice their lives to preserve their virtue." "He who requires much from himself and little from others, will never have any enemies."

From the Kabbalistic Zohar - The Book of Light: Selection from Chapter I, Part 2 of 2

“And the earth was tohu and bohu,” that is , without form and void. That dispelled the darkness in which was the hidden and concealed fire that transformed the world from tohu into bohu, and from a state of chaos made it receptive of seeds and germs of life. In all the various phases of development from tohu (chaotic state) to bohu (purified state), through countless ages of silent, secret and ceaseless progression from lower to higher stages and states of being, the Divine has manifested Itself under many and different aspects or characters corresponding to and symbolic of them.

From the Kabbalistic Zohar - The Book of Light: Selection from Chapter I, Part 1 of 2

Kabbalah is the ancient mystical school of thought of Judaism. One of the most foundational of the Kabbalistic texts is the Sefer HaZohar, a Kabbalistic commentary on the Torah, which are the first five books of the Hebrew Bible. Today we present some of the fascinating excerpts from the Zohar about the very beginning of our Earth’s creation, and how life on the planet took place. “In the beginning, Alhim created”; or, as it should be rendered by Rushith, that is the primal Zohar (radiance), the origin of all words, “God created Alhim.”

We welcome you to enjoy this interesting selection from Tolstoy's Short Story – The Three Hermits (continued). The three hermits running upon the water, all gleaming white, their grey beards shining, and quickly approaching the ship. All three as with one voice, began to say: "We have forgotten your teaching, servant of God. Teach us again." The Bishop crossed himself, and leaning over the ship's side, said: "Your own prayer will reach the Lord, men of God. It is not for me to teach you. Pray for us sinners." Then the Bishop bowed low before the old men; and they turned and went back across the sea. And a light shone until daybreak on the spot where they were lost to sight.

Fill Life with Love and Wonder, Part 2 of 3 May 18 , 1999, Bulgaria

In our practicing group, we have all kinds of nationalities, all kinds of religious believers, but we work together in peace and harmony, as if we have known each other for thousands of years, the instant we see each other for the first time. Why? It is because we speak the same inner language, and we understand each other at the level of higher consciousness. This (inner) Heavenly Music we can hear now while we are living, so that we can understand what God wants to teach us, what is the instruction from Heaven, what is God’s will, so that we cannot go wrong in this world. And then we will live our lives more in harmony with the mandate of Heaven.

Fill Life with Love and Wonder, Part 1 of 3 May 18 , 1999, Bulgaria

And after contacting God, we find our lives full of miracles, and everything will happen like wonder; everything will be taken care of; everything will be so much in love, so much in harmony; and our souls will find such a peace that we have never known exists up to that moment. For that reason, since ancient times, many of our Saints and Sages have forsaken the whole world because the bliss inside of finding God satisfies Him or Her so much that They feel almost They don’t need anything else in this world. But that doesn’t mean that they cannot function in this world.

From the Sacred Text of the Universal White Brotherhood: In Contact with God, Part 2 of 2

So, remember the following truth: there is not a greater thing in human life than prayer. No matter what people may tell you, do not forget the importance and vital necessity of praying, of inner communication with God. Neither knowledge, nor Love and Wisdom on Earth can be compared with praying, with one’s communion with the First Cause. When people pray and put all their virtues to work - that is the power of the prayer. A prayer, in which people do not put to use all of their virtues, is not real. Prayer should include the qualities of Love, Wisdom, Truth, Righteousness, Virtue, Compassion and a number of other virtues. The soul needs inner, spiritual food that can be provided only by praying.

From the Sacred Text of the Universal White Brotherhood: In Contact with God, Part 1 of 2

The spiritual lineage of the Universal White Brotherhood was founded by Mater Beinsa Douno, also known as Peter Konstantinov Deunov, of Bulgaria, in 1897. The Universal White Brotherhood believes that God is in everything: in the stones, the plants, the water, the air, the animals, and the light. If breathing is necessary for people, then the thought of God is a thousand times more necessary. The more people remember God and keep Him in their minds, the nobler they are. In all actualities in life — both in joy and sorrow — we should remember God. The great importance of prayer. One’s thinking cannot be developed without praying.

Selected Mystical Works of Bahá'u'lláh, Part 2 of 2

Selected Mystical Works of Bahá'u'lláh, Part 2 of 2

The beginning of religion is love for God and for His Chosen Ones, and its end is to manifest that love to His servants. I swear by God! Whoso fails to obey the commandments of God can in no wise be numbered among His loved ones, for among the conditions of His love is to follow His commandments and observe His prohibitions. But since these are the days of concealment, and the Sun of eternity remains hidden beneath the horizon of being, one must gather together everyone with love and protect them. The time for the completion of the commandments and the perfection of deeds will assuredly come.

Selected Mystical Works of Bahá'u'lláh, Part 1 of 2

‘Tis from Our rapture that the clouds of realms above are raining down; ’ Tis from Our anthem that the mysteries of faith are raining down. Perchance thou may become pure spirit; attain, without taking a single step, the loftiest stations of mystic ascent; and explore, without leaving thine outward habitation, the furthermost reaches of the worlds of inner significance. Thereupon would thou, with a divine rapture, experience true spiritual attraction, lay down thy life in the path of the Friend, and sacrifice thy soul in the wilderness of His love. This indeed is the meaning of stillness in flight and flight in stillness, of fluidity in solidity and solidity in fluidity.

Dying while Living: from Philosophy of the Masters by Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj, Part 2 of 2

So long as we yearn for life (in this world) we can never obtain this precious Jewel. It is through the Grace of the Lord that a rare devotee who dies while living can find this Jewel. So long as you cherish worldly desires, God Realization will not come to you. A person who dies while living lives forever. This dying while living has nothing to do with being cremated or buried. It is a state or condition in which the Master bestows eternal life on his disciples. The Master confers this death upon you to enable you to live eternally. So long as you remain alive on this earth, you should be able to leave your body at will and traverse the higher regions.

The Practice of the Presence of God: The Best Rule of Holy Life - Selection of Brother Lawrence's Letters, Part 2 of 2

If we were well accustomed to the exercise of the presence of GOD, all bodily diseases would be much alleviated thereby. GOD often permits that we should suffer a little, to purify our souls, and oblige us to continue with Him. Take courage, offer Him your pains incessantly, pray to Him for strength to endure them. Above all, get a habit of entertaining yourself often with GOD, and forget Him the least you can. Adore Him in your infirmities, offer yourself to Him from time to time; and, in the height of your sufferings, beseech Him humbly and affectionately (as a child his father) to make you conformable to His holy will.

Selection from Ralph Waldo Emerson's Essay “Self-Reliance”

00:15:07

Selection from Ralph Waldo Emerson's Essay “Self-Reliance”

In which the renowned philosopher encourages us to follow our own true self by sticking to our own inner voice and by being honest and sincere in our relationships with others. We create self-reliance — the essence of both faith and optimism. What I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think. This rule, equally arduous in actual and in intellectual life, may serve for the whole distinction between greatness and meanness. It is easy in the world to live after the world’s opinion; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude.
