Today we’re going to have some just simple fried vegan fish and sour soup; they’re very simple. Then you can eat it with the steamed vegan fish, or you fry the fish and then later you just pour the sauce on top, and that’d be fine. It’s very simple. Wow, it’s boiled already! Okay now, we have to put this vegetable inside to cook. Also tomatoes… put it in. Then, we put a little juice to make it sweeter. And I have prepared coriander, spring onions, together with the fishwort herbs to put it inside, and 1 lemon. I’m going to put the lemon juice inside to make it sour.

Stir it up so that the seasoning penetrates into the food that you are cooking. This is sweet potato. Stir up occasionally, and then after five minutes you can stir in the peppered vegan meat. You can put a little bit of seasoning, Maggi, the thick soya sauce, and stir it well, so that it will penetrate every piece of the vegan meat and the sweet potatoes. I love this kind of simple life that doesn't cost the Earth too much.

Then you just pour a little bit of soya sauce, soya paste. Stir fry sauce is fine. We can use this boiled spinach water as a broth to cook the soup. Whatever you have, maybe watercress or some mustard plant like this,we wait for it to boil again, then you put vegetable in, and tofu and seasoning, it’s very simple soup. This is called simple cooking, not fast food but quick.

You just let (vegan) sausages fry until both sides are golden. This is the gravy I have prepared, just some cubes of vegetarian broth, and some Maggi, and a little starch to thicken it. If you want to cook with fire, it has to have chimney and, proper equipment. Make sure before you leave the place, make sure all the embers, all the coals, all become dead. so it’s safe.

So we have to prepare all the ingredients for people to cook. The sweet pudding that the Chinese also love it at New Year’s time. They call it tuan yuan pudding. “Tuan yuan” means united, reunion. That’s why they like to have it in New Year because they like to be together.
