Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 1 of 6 July 14, 2019

Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 1 of 6 July 14, 2019

What are four types? It could be also people; it could be also invisible beings; it could be also animals, pets. So now, I classify it all in four types of beings. Because we are all beings. The first type is very lucky for us if we have; they're called "Friends." "Friends" doesn't mean the social circle that you are in only; it could be your family members. So, friend is good for you. You will notice that they are very helpful to you, very coordinated with you. When you're with them, it's smooth sailing. And in our group, we have sixty-plus percent are good, truly, sincerely want to go Home and to practice goodness and to hear the Truth and try to implement the Truth in their lives. And the other thirty-plus percent are not so. And just like other Masters, when They came to our planet, They generously gave initiation and just giving everyone a chance to know this method and then to be able to practice. But not everyone took it seriously. The same with Shakyamuni Buddha. Even His cousin always tried to harm Him.

Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 2 of 6 July 14, 2019

Friends, they are always there when you're in trouble. And their energy will always lend you some help, even though you don't know it; they also don't know about it. But you just feel comforted when you're around them. And you two seem to get on well in many subjects. And of course, "Enemy" is the opposite. We are born in this human body and we are not allowed to know many things. Therefore, a lot of times we do wrong without realizing it, especially without anyone teaching us in advance, without a wise teacher to tell us what's right from wrong. And even then, if somebody taught us, sometimes we still can do wrong because the mind and the maya pushing it; and our karmic background from (past) lives coming back also leading us astray, making us do things wrong; or the situation forces us to do something that we don't like to do, but we just have to. All the Bodhisattvas and the Buddhas warning us that the Bodhisattvas have always been there to help us all the time, even lifting us away from hell, if we were repentant and sincere, and given another chance to redeem our mistakes.

Overcome the Many Influences in Life Through Diligent Meditation, Part 3 of 3 May 5, Jun 30 & Sep 1, 2019

“It’s not easy to have always smooth sailing in your life because many things influence you. Because you practice, so you feel your life is much better; a lot of miracles happen. Big things become small; big trouble becomes small, small trouble becomes none, and this is OK, very good.” “Just try to meditate more, to counter all these obstructions and trouble in your life.” “Just recite the Five (Holy) Names, thank all involved, visible and invisible, for your beautiful food. Let it nourish your body and your spiritual body. Say like that, ‘thank you’ and eat, in all love and faith.” “Some of the food is also poisonous. Every time you feel not easy, meditate not well, or something bad happens, then maybe next time don’t eat. So, this is a problem with our world. It’s not because you eat vegan and then you’re guaranteed a smooth sailing all your life, 24/7. So, we eat vegan because we are compassionate. We try to minimize suffering wherever we can.” “So, even if you eat vegan, you try to eat just enough. Try to eat just enough, 80%, and then another 10% water; the rest is for the Light.”

Overcome the Many Influences in Life Through Diligent Meditation, Part 2 of 3 May 5, Jun 30 & Sep 1, 2019

Our lives are governed by many things. Not just the food we eat or the water we drink. The moon and stars and all other planets also have influence on us. When we are initiated, and practice the Quan Yin Method, it’s a little better. Only the celestial body that’s near us can influence us some. But if we practice diligently, then only karma of the past, meaning the karma that we have to pay in this lifetime, can influence us. Other celestial bodies cannot. But we still can be influenced by many things if we don’t practice enough. Even the food we eat. Even if the Master is free from all the influences, from what He / She eats or does, it’s still the disciples’ karma and disciples’ influence by other factors that still can influence the Master as well. So, many things we eat are making trouble for our lives as well. It’s even the fresh grapes, the black ones, or the purple ones. They will evoke some karma from the past life, or from this lifetime, from your previous enemies. It depends on what kind of enemies you have. It might not evoke the enemy’s revenge of harming you if it is long, many lifetimes before, but some lifetimes near to you, maybe five lifetimes before this life.

Master the Mind to Fully Manifest Buddha Nature, Part 3 of 3 Mar. 3, 2005

Master the Mind to Fully Manifest Buddha Nature, Part 3 of 3 Mar. 3, 2005

Do not be too proud if you are successful. Because if you are too proud or too confident, you could do wrong. So, always be very vigilant about what you think, and what you do. Otherwise, it’s always messed up, not just your life, everybody else’s life, understand? Every time we do something wrong, we cause karma. And if you do something wrong against me, that is worse. On top of that, you mess up with the whole world’s life and karma, and everything. You obstruct the mission of the Master, and that influences the whole planet, or the whole universe even, and your karma is huge, do you understand? I told you already, it’s easier to get a Buddha than to train the mind. So do not have an illusion that when a person becomes a Buddha, he is perfect already immediately. So, don’t poison him further than he’s already suffocated with. Not too much praising, not prostrating, leave the Buddhas alone, or he’ll die quick. You have to practice like there is no tomorrow for you. It’s all about inside things; it’s not the outside.

Master the Mind to Fully Manifest Buddha Nature, Part 1 of 3 Mar. 3, 2005

Even if you are high level, you have to train your mind. Understand this? You’re high level because of God’s grace. It’s not necessarily always your merit. The mind, it’s never gone to the Fifth Level, understand? Can never! So, it’s not just that you have some billions of points, you become Buddhas, and that’s that. You have to remember to refine your character and to train your mind to be efficient in every way possible, and to direct the mind always into service, unconditional love. The soul is OK already. The soul, I take care. Now, you have to take care of your mind, your character, your heart, because it’s possible that even though you’ve become a Buddha, but your mind has stood still for a while, rusty, and you forget to be vigilant. To be Master of the mind.

The Fatal Obstacle, Part 1 of 3, Mar. 2, 2005

00:34:28

The Fatal Obstacle, Part 1 of 3, Mar. 2, 2005

It’s just showing you this life is really funny. People value more a piece of paper than looking into others’ eyes and seeing what’s in there, or sincerity, everything. They are trained just to count money, and even ignore the other side of humans, which is more valuable. But that’s life. You have to prove that you have money, otherwise, you are nothing. It’s incredible how people value a few pieces of paper more than the human spirit, and looking down upon people, and then put people down and things like that. So, they choose the wrong personnel all the time. Sometimes you get to a high position because you know the owner or you know the other highly positioned persons, or a big shot or something. It’s not necessarily that you’re qualified. A couple of the banks that I have dealt with the managers used to be bakers or cooks or whatever, but they happen to speak Spanish or German or English. You know, at least two languages, and you’re fine. Because the bank said it is easier for them to train him in financial than to train him in languages. Can you imagine?

Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 3 of 6 July 14, 2019

Now we go back to Lord Mahavira, our good and compassionate Lord. But this is too extreme for me. I don’t wish any Master to ever have to undergo this kind of ascetic life, which is so filled with suffering like this. It’s not necessary at all. I wasn’t born to be looking like an ascetic monk this lifetime. I’m born for you. I was born for this type of people who look through the clothes and the skin to see something more valuable than just the price of the material that I wear. So, it doesn’t matter what the Master looks like. As long as their souls perceive that She speaks, He talks the Truth, they will follow to the end sincerely and diligently. And for these souls, I might have appeal. For ordinary souls, they just look for personality, they look for appearance, they look for demonstration. They look for whatever. You know it, right? So, they will not be able to maintain their determination and faith as long as the so-called Master that they have seen or wanted to believe in doesn’t fit their small little frame.

Overcome the Many Influences in Life Through Diligent Meditation, Part 1 of 3 May 5, Jun 30 & Sep 1, 2019

“In India, people are very simple and pure. Many of the Masters are married, have wife and children; sometimes don’t have children. But they also revere the wife of the Master. They don’t criticize, say, ‘Oh, Master, why have a wife?’ In most of the cases, the Master had a wife before becoming a Master. So, if the Master was not home, they came and sat in front of the wife of the Master, also looking at her for a Darshan. ‘Darshan’ means looking at the Master, reverently. And not just married, but some other instances, like the Master has an assistant, like Sri Aurobindo, as an example. Sri Aurobindo had a French female assistant, and they, the disciples, the followers also revered her and called her ‘Holy Mother.’” … “OK. I like those that are warm in the winter, cool in the summer and eco-friendly.” “Wow. Eat everything. The kitchen will be very happy. That means a compliment. Thank you. See you.”

Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 5 of 6 July 14, 2019

And my cave in Spain, it was just a cave, a lot of rock and rough and it was not accessible. It's far away from any human's quarter. So, around is all trees and bushes, birds and squirrels and rabbits, and stuff like that. Oh, beautiful place! There's nothing, really, just that. But, for me, it's beautiful, because it's so quiet. But in that cave, I had the biggest ever realization. And the Gift that I gave some of you, also from that time. That was one of the best times in my life, just like in India when I had nothing. I love having nothing. You just feel so free. In heaven, you don't need to want anything. Or even whatever you want, it's already there for you. And even if you want anything extra just for creativity's sake, you just think about it, it's right there. But here, you are not allowed to use this. I'm not allowed to use so many things.

Understand Emotional Ties and Transcend Karma, Part 1 of 5 Mar. 1, 2005

It takes a lot of merit, devotion and goodness inside; of course, and enlightenment. Most of the Buddhas, when they became Buddha, they don’t know it, because of the grace of the Master as well. They do feel that they’re clean, but because it’s so subtle! But they will know if they lose it! Whenever they lost the Buddhahood or their level goes down, they know it. For you it’s easy. Just keep the Five Precepts, meditate, recite the Five (Holy) Names, remember the Gift, and go straight up, sooner or later. Nothing can stop you now. Nothing can tempt you anymore. Nothing wants even to go near! Not everyone we love will return our love. It’s life. That’s life! Affinity, you know? Sometimes the enemy can come back, they hurt you in different ways. In the form of “love,” a lot of people use it to hurt each other.

The Fatal Obstacle, Part 2 of 3, Mar. 2, 2005

“There dogs, they're high level already. They are Fourth already. And you guys are still crawling under there, some of you. So much for the attachment of the worldly stuff! Even attachment to husband and wife is also attachment.” “If you have just little bit of arrogance, sometimes you are in a high position in society, and it’s very difficult to be humble. You don’t have to be if you are a Buddha. But to your superior, you should be. Otherwise, you are lost very quick!” “Anything, anything could affect you - your personality, your background, your education, your job, your associations, your friends, before you met me. Everything makes an impact on you, and you are in a square box. So, enlightenment lifts your soul up, but your personality, you have to retrain it to fit a saintly person.” “The whole universe is watching what you're doing. Anything you do bad to me, just even a little bit, a little feel proud, arrogant towards me. Even if I forgive you or I don’t scold you or I don’t care about that, it’s still bad for you.”

Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 4 of 6 July 14, 2019

And Bodhisattvas, Saints, Buddhas are all over, in the ten directions, life after life. They are helping to rescue humans and to lift them up. Of course, friends include Bodhisattvas and Buddhas and Saintly beings. Now, the second type, maybe friend has more than just that. Sometimes, they just happen to be with you for a short while, but then they introduce you to some good teachings or a name of a Master, and it awakens something in you, and then you will go and find more of that teaching or that Master. These are also friends. And we have also invisible friends, like the angels who protect you. Now, there is another group of people; they are "Neutral." They are no harm to you, no good to you. Enemy has two types: outside your circle enemy and inside your circle enemy; we call "secret enemies." The enemy outside, of course, they do things very obviously against you, this is easier to deal with. You can escape, if you know, if you can. Secret enemy is more difficult. They make you even not want to practice anymore. And the worst thing is that they make you lose your belief in the right path to follow, right Master to believe in. These are the worst enemies.

Buddhist Stories: Wish-Fulfilling Jewels, Part 2 of 10 Aug. 13, 2015

So that's why we should never, never ask to be born again, or even in this lifetime, to become a king or anything. You have enough food to eat, you have enough clothes to wear; that is the best thing already. And whatever's left, maybe you can spare it, then you give it to the poorer people. Whatever you can. Even just a little bit of something, some food. The food that we've wasted on our planet in every rich country, we could use that to nourish the whole planet three times over. We must organize together. The food organizations, the food ministries of all the countries have to sit together and tackle this intelligently, compassionately, or else. Or else we all have consequences. This story's about somebody named Đại Thí. He's the one who tried to empty the ocean. “Thus I have heard.” At one time, the Buddha was in the country called La-duyệt-kỳ (Rajagariha) in the mountain Linh Thứu (Ghridhrakuta). “Kiều-trần-như (Kaundinya), and then Mahakasyapa, and then Sariputra, and then Maudgalyayana, and another 500 big monks came out one by one, one by one, wanting to be His attendant. But He refused them all.” It's not easy. Everybody wants to be the Buddha's attendant. But you have to be able also.

A Warm Gathering with Working Staff, Part 1 of 2 May 1, 2019

Just chat, chat, chat with the workers. They have been working very hard. Because if there are too many people, then they cannot come in. they just stand next to the fence somewhere waiting, waving. So, today, I let them be the first. I’ve never known one Iranian to have doubts about the Quan Yin Method. It’s absolute for them, because they’re brought up in this kind of teaching and they understand. Just because they didn’t know there are Masters. If they know that there is a Master who can give them the (inner Heavenly) Sound, oh, immediately and no doubts ever. Because they already know that. The system is like that. When a human is born, he’s already bound by tradition or by the established religion, so it’s very difficult for him to find the True Path. If he’s not being bound by social tradition, then, and even if he wants to seek the Truth, he will be bound by religious custom and all that, and a lot of work, a lot of work, and then he’ll be lost in those rituals and traditions, and he will not be able to find the real religion.

The World Is Nothing but an Illusion, Part 3 of 4, June 15, 2019

The World Is Nothing but an Illusion, Part 3 of 4, June 15, 2019

There are two kinds of things that I talk to you about. One is for worldly things; I advise you to be filial, loyal and patriotic, etc. However, if I don't talk about worldly matters, there's really nothing to talk about. The Dharma needs virtually no spoken words. Or should I just sit here and tell you, "It's OK, suit yourself. It's OK to do anything. Never mind the ethical conduct, because there is nothing." You know what I mean? But I can't do that, because you have yet to reach this level. Sometimes, I observe that the world is in great misery, but people can't escape. They are bound very tightly by their minds. Do you understand what I am saying? (Understand.) Really? (Really.) Because these things are... (Abstract.) Abstract. OK, that's right. Therefore, preconceptions sometimes hurt us a lot, and make us lose a lot of good things. I am talking about worldly aspects; not spiritual aspects. Not yet; too many preconceptions. Our eyes, ears, smell and tongue, all deceive us; they are really deceptive.

The World Is Nothing but an Illusion, Part 2 of 4, June 15, 2019

00:36:37

The World Is Nothing but an Illusion, Part 2 of 4, June 15, 2019

There are two sides in this life. One side is the material world, the other side is the spiritual world. It's not enough if we only busy ourselves in the material world. We will come back later and it will be the same suffering and happiness. We keep coming and going, trapped inside the prison. There is nothing truly meaningful. Sometimes, we have to suffer a lot before we realize this, realize the most important point, realize that we are really bound by these rules, or by our mind. These things are really useless. People who haven't suffered are less likely to understand. Those who have suffered will understand, because they will cherish the human body, which is too precious and too fleeting. When I talk to you, I have to laugh. But if I'm trapped in a situation, it's also quite agonizing. While suffering, I also realize that it is actually nothing. The world is nothing but an illusion. So, when we are in deep samadhi, the whole world vanishes, even our own person vanishes. The numerous illusions of sentient beings life after life, have manifested into this or that. As the Diamond Sutra stated, "Be free of all attachments, so that your mind will be free."

Understand Emotional Ties and Transcend Karma, Part 3 of 5 Mar. 1, 2005

Sometimes a mundane problem cannot be separated from spiritual issue. It's a very difficult thing. Enemies always happen to bump into each other, (Yes.) and then "love at first sight" even, and all that stuff. And then you never know what. Everything is "fooled up". All the appearances in this world just kind of fool you. And yet, you lost everything, and you don't even know! Already prepared! That’s maya, already prepared the karma from last life. Whoever’s your enemy, they plant it around you, to make trouble. Even planted as your friend, your husband or your wife, it’s difficult to get rid of. But you’re lucky! You have only one, baby! I have many! And I have to love them, take care of them just like you. Don’t have to divorce a person just because he eats meat or drinks alcohol – you change him! You’ve been with him a long time, you should help him as a friend even. You tell him that you’d prefer him to be vegetarian and not to drink (alcohol), and then maybe you’d feel better about it, and then he will do it. He is very, very loyal, and he loves you. And on that basis, you can work (it out).

Buddhist Stories: The Story of Ananda, the Names of Hells, and the Praise of the Buddha, Part 2 of 11 Aug. 10, 2015

“There was a bhiksu who had adopted a sami (sramanera). Every day, he made him learn the sutras by heart, very diligently on time, and never failed.” “Next day, the sami (sramanera) was going out begging again. He was walking and crying at the same time. Then one of the rich persons in that region came and asked him, ‘Why are you crying, monk?’ ‘My Master is too strict to me. If I recite it on time and fulfill the schedule, then He is very happy. If not, then he is very cranky, scolding me. Going out for alms is not always precise. Some days they don’t give or give very little, then I have to go farther. And then when I come home, it’s late. I have no time to fulfill the schedule. So I am very sad. That’s why I’m crying.’ ‘So from today then, you just come to my house.’” “So since then, he always goes there and has everything he needs, and Master and disciple, very, very happy, happy, happy!” So the Buddha said, “The sami (sramanera) at that time is the past reincarnation of myself. The noble gentleman who offered food every day to the Master and disciple, that was Ananda.” In a Chinese idiom, they say, “Strict masters produce the best disciples, excellent disciples.” So maybe because the Master was so strict, so Ananda, life after life has such a good memory, and good point!

Buddhist Stories: Wish-Fulfilling Jewels, Part 1 of 10 Aug. 13, 2015

Now, I just want to tell you, just want to remind you. Because all of these stories and the merit that you acquire when you take care of the Buddha’s stupas, or you offer to the living Buddhas or the past Buddhas or the sangha - all of this is for the ordinary people - the people who want to be reborn again as gods in Heaven - maybe small gods, big gods, depends on their merit - or people who like to become humans again, with richness and power. But always being chased by the (bad) karma…. So mind you, all the merit that we dedicate to be a god, or angels or divas or humans with position, power, and money, brings us nothing, protects us from nothing. (Bad) karma is still there chasing after us, life after life, until somehow it’s dissolved. So it’s no safety. No safety at all for us to stay in the Heavens or stay on Earth with all power, merit, whatever it is. It’s all impermanent. So it’s better we practice, like immediate enlightenment, and then from then on you will never worry about anything else.
