Cherish God’s Grace on Earth to Ascend Quickly, Part 2 of 5 Feb. 27, 2005

If everybody did what I told, even if they were in Astral Level at the time I initiated them, they all go into Third Level now. I told you! Believe it! So if anybody’s still lagging now, it’s their own fault! So much blessing, so much gift have been given to them, and they don’t utilize it, or they waste it all on anything else except spiritual practice. That’s why they are still hanging around there. Anything below Third Level is maya. Even at the border, it’s not sure. You see, one step here, maya; one step here, Master; maya…Master. So you have to go high, understand? Otherwise, you cannot see me.

And our free thing in life is, we can give to others. We can love. We can share spiritual news, spiritual merit, spiritual energy. Wherever you are, if you are happy, it’s fine. I still love you anyway. No matter what you do, I still help you the best I can. It doesn’t matter. When you die, you’ll know. You know who is your really loved friend, who really loves you. You all have three new Quan-Yin messengers. They are Fifth Level.

Buddhist Stories: The Lay Disciple Atulah, Part 2 of 4 Sep. 21, 2015

I read you one of these stories. Atulah was a lay disciple. He lived in Sravasti. And he had a retinue of five hundred other lay disciples. One day he took those lay disciples with him to a monastery to hear the Dharma. Now this elder Revata was a solitary recluse. Delighting in solitude even as a lion delights in solitude, and thus he had nothing to say to Atulah and his following. He felt agitated. So he arose from his seat, went to the elder Sariputra. And forthwith the elder Sariputra expounded the Abhidharma at great length. Provoked, he took his retinue with him again, and went to the elder Ananda. Thereupon the elder Ananda expounded the Dharma to them very briefly, making it very easy for them to understand. But they were provoked at the Reverend Ananda also. And then going to the Buddha.

Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Diary: The Living Masters Can Liberate All redeemable Souls, Part 2 of 4 May 5, 2019

Why did the devas, the heavenly beings, praise Shakyamuni Buddha as having rescued numerous beings, rescued the world? How? Why? When the Buddha is in the world, because the physical body is connected with all beings in the physical realms, you are connected together in this physical dimension, one way or another. And then you take food from this world and you breathe the same air with everyone else, and you drink water from the world, and many other things. Every little thing connects the Buddha with this world. So, He can use that to connect with people and help them to liberate. That’s why. Because the Buddha didn’t just liberate His own disciples, official disciples. He liberated all beings on the same planet that He lived; as long as He lived.

The Story of Creation, Part 3 of 4, Feb. 26, 2005

At this time, even people who don’t practice Quan Yin Method, they all go to the Third Level or Fourth Level even, accordingly. I told you already, no? Even the sinners, the ones who don’t even practice, and are very bad, also. Not too bad, but bad, and then, even then, they can go to the Third Level already, because they have been cleansed. Through disaster or war or tragedy, they have been cleansed. So, I can take them up. They have been cleansed, but if nobody takes them up, then they’ll just stay there.

The Surangama Sutra: Twenty-Five Means to Enlightenment, Session Three, Part 5 of 6 April 6, 2019

This one, “Precept Withholding Number One.” That’s why he became like a precept transmitter in this group. That’s what he thinks: precepts and controlling your mind, your body – don’t let it ruin you, don’t let it rule over you – is a method. Now, “Maudgalyayana arose from his seat, bowed at the feet of the Buddha, and said to the Buddha, ‘Once, when I was out on the road begging for food, I met the three Kasyapa brothers, who proclaimed for me the Thus Come One’s profound principle of causes and conditions. I immediately brought forth resolve and obtained a great understanding.’” Just to hear the cause and effect, he determined to obtain a great understanding, meaning he resolved… he must get enlightenment. You know something and you feel something, and you’re determined to get it, it’s another thing. We need a lot of cause and conditions to arrive at where we want to arrive. Just time, just the right time.

Everything is around me. I think it’s a very simple life and very beautiful. I feel more relaxed, more peaceful in this kind of environment, in this kind of arrangement. I don’t know how about you. I just hope that they let me stay long. Because up to now, it’s so difficult for me to live a simple life. Because if you have a big house, you have to take care. Even if you don’t take care, you have to have personnel to take care for you. And then you have to take care of the personnel which is the more difficult part than cleaning.

Buddhist Stories: The Names of the Buddhas and the Merit and Virtue of Giving, Part 4 of 7, Aug. 11, 2015

In the future, good men or good women may plant good roots in the Buddha Dharma by giving, making offerings, repairing stupas or monasteries, rebinding sutras or doing other good deeds amounting to no more than a strand of hair, a mote of dust, a grain of sand or a drop of water. Merely by transferring the merit from such deeds to Dharma Realm, those people’s meritorious virtues will enable them to enjoy superior and wonderful bliss for hundreds of thousands of lives. If they dedicate the merit only to their immediate or extended family, or to their own personal benefit, then the rewards received will be only three lives of happiness. By giving up one, a 10,000 reward is obtained.

A Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Contemplator of the World's Sounds arose from his seat. And in the assembly knelt on both knees and with palms together said to the Buddha, “World Honored One, Earth Store Bodhisattva Mahasattva is replete with great compassion and pities beings who are suffering for their offenses. In thousands of millions of worlds, He creates thousands of millions of transformation bodies through the strength of His meritorious virtues and inconceivable awesome spiritual strength. I have heard the World Honored One and the numberless Buddhas of the Ten Directions praise the Earth Store Bodhisattva, unanimously agreeing that even if all the Buddhas of the past, present and the future were to speak of His meritorious qualities, they could never finish describing them.”

Many people, because of that, became more diligent in their practice so they attained Srota-apanna, Sakrdagamin, Anagamin, Arhat, etc., different levels of consciousness, because of that story alone. Even though it's a bad story, negative story, but it wakes people up and touches their hearts, so their hearts become more open, more compassionate. And then their mind and their spirit become more diligent, understand why they have to practice, why they have to be good.

Buddhist Stories: The Lay Disciple Atulah, Part 3 of 4 Sep. 21, 2015

Then the Buddha replied, "Atulah, from days of old until now it has been the invariable practice of man to blame him who said nothing, him who said much, and him who said little. There is no one who deserves unqualified blame and no one who deserves unqualified praise. Even kings are blamed by some and praised by others. Even the great Earth, even the Sun and the Moon. Even the Supremely Enlightened Buddha, sitting and speaking in the midst of the fourfold assembly, some blame and others praise." If some blame you or praise you, it makes no importance at all. They don’t have any intelligence to even praise you or to blame you. They have nothing to say. So it doesn’t matter what they said. Whoever is blamed by a sound judging person, the good person, intelligent person, then he is truly blamed.

Buddhist Stories: The Story of Khuda, Part 5 of 7, Aug. 24, 2015

Today I was very tired, I don’t know why. Even I took a rest already in the afternoon but I was very tired. And I was thinking to myself, “No, today I don’t go out, I don’t talk.” I have the right to take a rest. I also need a rest. I’m also having just a human body. I’ll just go back to sleep, go to sleep. But then I was thinking of you. I said, “Never mind. If I drink tea, I wash with cold water, and then I drink something and I get myself awake, I can come out to see you.” Because even though I’m tired, but you came a long way. Yes. And you didn’t have much time to see me when you’re working. So I beat myself, “Get out. Get up, get up.”

Although I had no eyes,’” “‘I could contemplate the ten directions with true and penetrating clarity, just as if I were looking at a piece of fruit in the palm of my hand. The Thus Come One certified me as having attained Arhatship. The Buddha asks about perfect penetration. As I have been certified to it, returning the seeing back to its source is the foremost method.’” Those famous Masters, all the time up to now, all taught the Quan Yin Method. If you read carefully, you will see. Even Milarepa, also. Milarepa’s Master also taught the Quan Yin Method.

Buddhist Stories: Brahma Asks for Dharma, Part 2 of 4 Aug. 04, 2015

Once you’re born, you forget. Even though if you were a god, when you’re born, you’re completely blind, deaf and dumb. You won’t remember anything at all in the past life. Therefore, you might do wrong and then the situations in the world will push you to commit some bad deeds. And then your status will be lower and lower, and then you might even go to a lower level, like bad animals. And then from then even go lower and maybe go to hell etc., etc., and never get liberation or be born in Heaven again. That’s why he was very worried. He was a god, he should know. He should know all these consequences, because once we’re born, we forget.

We are grateful to God, but we are also grateful to all the devas or humans, invisible beings, who have been so kind to us, and helping to make our stay pleasant or our time smooth and peaceful. Otherwise, maybe we couldn’t make it, if they are not coordinating… Good people, good people here. They are one of those ten people who are very active here. They print their own magazine and do… very nice, only a couple of people and do a lot of work, very friendly, very spiritually oriented.

If Thus Come One is making too much trouble for you to remember, just say Boundless Body Buddha. “If man or woman hears,” this is long, long time ago. This Buddha is long, long past already. Asamkhyeya eons ago already means countless, countless of Earth time. You cannot even measure how long ago. He already passed away. Even then, if any man or woman heard His name now, at the Buddha’s time, that means just 2,000 years, some years ago, almost 3,000 years, right? “… and have a momentary thought of respect, those people will overstep the heavy offenses involved in birth and death for 40 eons. How much more will that be the case for those who sculpt or paint this Buddha’s image?”

The Surangama Sutra: The Four Clear and Unalterable Instructions on Purity - Refrain from Lust and Killing, Part 3 of 6, Dec. 22, 2018

Three. “That is, collecting one’s thoughts constitutes to the precepts.” Meaning you have to keep the precepts. That’s number one. “And then because from the precepts will come samadhi.” Meaning you’ll be established in tranquility, in the non-reversible, enlightened state of being. That is samadhi. Not just when you sit cross-legged and your soul leaves your body, going to the high Heaven. You concentrate always on the Holy Names, concentration on goodness, virtues. Just remember all that, and you’re just forgetful of every other thing. That’s why the Buddha said collecting thoughts, meaning collecting all of this concentration, one-pointedness is as good as precepts. You keep the precepts, you keep yourself pure, and you continue your path one-pointedly.

Happy Children’s Day - ”Where Are the Bottles?” Part 2 of 2, April 4, 2019

If I found one bottle, definitely I’d look for others. I could see the bucket and one bottle, then why couldn’t I see the other five bottles. I put them there in one row, like a row of teddy bears falling in line. I couldn’t figure it out, so I asked the Heavenly Guards. I asked, “Why? Why didn’t I see them a while before? Why can I see them now? Why did I see only one bottle before, and why can I see the other bottles now? Why?” They replied, “Master, Your soul has ascended too high. So You could only see half of the bottles.”

That’s why in Mohism they say, “Society is the biggest Melting pot. ” The Earth Store Bodhisattva said it before. When He observed all beings in the world, there was not a single thought or action that was not creating karma. Buddhists, and that’s good. Taoism is also good, and so is Yi Guan Dao. Everybody can come out more to preach dharma and tell people to eat vegan. I’d like governments or related authorities, or leaders of all religions to advocate veganism. Don't let animals suffer so much. Then they create their own karma, from which they can never escape. But still, I need to remind you sometimes, to make you understand why we need to practice, why we must be vegan, and why we should protect others and animals. We are meant to be gentlemen.

The true renunciates, who really listen to Buddha’s teachings and precepts, they can be liberated beyond the Three Worlds, not necessarily to the Fifth Level. And when you eat, you should make offering to all the Masters. Three timelines of Masters, from the past, present and future. If you don’t make offerings before eating, you would owe the world a lot. It’s OK to eat if you have made the offering. But this only applies to the vegans. It’s no use for the meat-eating people to make offerings before eating, because enlightened Masters do not eat meat. So, it’s useless to make such offerings to them.
