Understand Emotional Ties and Transcend Karma, Part 1 of 5 Mar. 1, 2005

Understand Emotional Ties and Transcend Karma, Part 1 of 5 Mar. 1, 2005

It takes a lot of merit, devotion and goodness inside; of course, and enlightenment. Most of the Buddhas, when they became Buddha, they don’t know it, because of the grace of the Master as well. They do feel that they’re clean, but because it’s so subtle! But they will know if they lose it! Whenever they lost the Buddhahood or their level goes down, they know it. For you it’s easy. Just keep the Five Precepts, meditate, recite the Five (Holy) Names, remember the Gift, and go straight up, sooner or later. Nothing can stop you now. Nothing can tempt you anymore. Nothing wants even to go near! Not everyone we love will return our love. It’s life. That’s life! Affinity, you know? Sometimes the enemy can come back, they hurt you in different ways. In the form of “love,” a lot of people use it to hurt each other.

State of the Five Worlds, Part 2 of 4 Feb. 28, 2005

State of the Five Worlds, Part 2 of 4 Feb. 28, 2005

And then we go to the mountain of the Astral. The Astral animals even can manifest into human form and come to the earth, our world, the physical world, and can visit for two days in the physical body form. And the Astral beings themselves, they look like us, just more beautiful, they can stay five days in the physical form. And you can't even stay five minutes in the Second world or Third world. The humans have more disadvantage, and do not know anything of this manifestation power. Very pitiful! So the Master of the higher level comes down and awakens in them this power and says, "You have it, baby, you have it! Just use it!" Try to train yourself again and clean yourself, refining, and then you'll become that, the pure essence that you had before.

Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 3 of 6 July 14, 2019

Now we go back to Lord Mahavira, our good and compassionate Lord. But this is too extreme for me. I don’t wish any Master to ever have to undergo this kind of ascetic life, which is so filled with suffering like this. It’s not necessary at all. I wasn’t born to be looking like an ascetic monk this lifetime. I’m born for you. I was born for this type of people who look through the clothes and the skin to see something more valuable than just the price of the material that I wear. So, it doesn’t matter what the Master looks like. As long as their souls perceive that She speaks, He talks the Truth, they will follow to the end sincerely and diligently. And for these souls, I might have appeal. For ordinary souls, they just look for personality, they look for appearance, they look for demonstration. They look for whatever. You know it, right? So, they will not be able to maintain their determination and faith as long as the so-called Master that they have seen or wanted to believe in doesn’t fit their small little frame.

The Surangama Sutra: Twenty-Five Means to Enlightenment, Session Five, Part 10 of 11 April 7, 2019

“Because of hearing and consideration, I escape the six defiling objects, just as a sound leaps over a wall without hindrance. And so, I have the wonderful ability to manifest shape after shape and to recite mantra upon mantra.” “These shapes and these mantras dispel the fears of living beings. Therefore, throughout the ten directions, in as many lands as there are fine motes of dust, I am known as one who bestows fearlessness.” “…The Buddha asks about perfect penetration. From the gateway of the ear, I obtained a perfect and illumining samadhi. The conditioned mind was at ease, and therefore I entered the appearance of the flow, and obtaining samadhi, I accomplished Bodhi. This is the foremost method.” The Buddha says that all Buddhas are reliant on the Sound Stream to come down to the world to deliver sentient beings. And all Buddhas, also enlightened Beings, are reliant on the Sound Stream to go back to the original Source. The vibration currents that all beings have to rely on to achieve what they want to achieve or to go Home. It’s like a highway.

Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 4 of 6 July 14, 2019

And Bodhisattvas, Saints, Buddhas are all over, in the ten directions, life after life. They are helping to rescue humans and to lift them up. Of course, friends include Bodhisattvas and Buddhas and Saintly beings. Now, the second type, maybe friend has more than just that. Sometimes, they just happen to be with you for a short while, but then they introduce you to some good teachings or a name of a Master, and it awakens something in you, and then you will go and find more of that teaching or that Master. These are also friends. And we have also invisible friends, like the angels who protect you. Now, there is another group of people; they are "Neutral." They are no harm to you, no good to you. Enemy has two types: outside your circle enemy and inside your circle enemy; we call "secret enemies." The enemy outside, of course, they do things very obviously against you, this is easier to deal with. You can escape, if you know, if you can. Secret enemy is more difficult. They make you even not want to practice anymore. And the worst thing is that they make you lose your belief in the right path to follow, right Master to believe in. These are the worst enemies.

The Essence of a Buddha, Part 4 of 5 Feb. 28, 2005

All the qualities that you pointed out from all the different brothers, they are good qualities. They are excellent qualities. So I do hope that they keep them, and I do hope that you imitate them. First, you imitate by outward repetition, later, it will become your nature. And the Buddha will not feel that he’s a Buddha. Sometimes he does, but sometimes not. The ones who become Buddhas, they had already been practicing before. And they… like not from a very low level, so it’s easier. And some of the persons had been my disciples before, but they had not reached the Fifth Level. And this guy had been a disciple of somebody else before. And I just continue to push him up a little bit. I mean not this life, but other lifetimes. He came from like Third Level. He came down here to advance his spiritual grade. That’s their special purpose. They come here just for that. So you can see they’re very devoted. Just one way to go.

My phone is there. …Can you imagine? Today we’re so advanced. The whole world is connected just by this little apparatus. Incredible, no? So if we are a little bit more advanced, we don’t need this. Just direct. Right now we are already very advanced, no? Like you’re at home, you can talk to me. Well, I hear, but sometimes you don’t hear, that’s the problem, like one-way traffic. Soon, soon, soon we both can hear each other. It’ll be better, then you’ll never do anything wrong. Yes!

The people who did not eat this kind of fruit before, raise hand. I just want to give it to those who did not eat, you all ate it already, where? All countries have it now? Oh! What? (We haven't eaten from You, Master.) So you still want me to be a waiter? OK. All right then. I thought I could go and sit on the Master's place. But since I'm a waiter now, I stand here. Waiter, you know? Standing and serving. I just watched some good news on TV. A lot of countries open their arms to the refugees right now. I was very, very, very glad, very happy. Humans, I think, take turns now to become more compassionate. And I am very, very happy, very happy, truly happy.

The Surangama Sutra: Twenty-Five Means to Enlightenment, Session Five, Part 8 of 11 April 7, 2019

"When the hearing permeates and the essence is bright, Light pervades the Dharma Realm, so that absolutely no darkness remains." So, Quan Yin Bodhisattva even can protect people from the ghosts. "When the sound is gone and the hearing is perfected, and all-pervasive power of compassion arises, and I can make it so that if living beings are travelling a dangerous road, thieves will not rob them." "When one is permeated with hearing, one separates from worldly objects, and forms cannot rob one. Then I can make it so that living beings with a great deal of desire can leave greed and desire far behind." But only when She contemplates on the sound and separates Herself from the physical body. She entered samadhi. She entered into the universal all-pervasive, all-omnipresent, the universal power. When She enters and partakes of that, then She can do all this and that, and all this. That is the response body.

Buddhist Stories: The Layperson Who Offered an Ashram to the Buddha, Part 4 of 8 Aug. 15, 2015

So, he was so hurried. In the middle of the night he wanted to go out to see the Buddha. “Go, follower, go! Do not retreat. Do not feel worried. Even if you have the whole treasures of all this planet put together for you, it's still not comparable to walking one step toward where the Buddha stays and visiting Him. Even then the merits are even more than that, that I cannot compare and count for you.” The Tu Đạt (Sudatta) prime minister heard that. Oh, happy, happy. At that time, the Buddha then preached to him the four Wonderful Methods of Liberation, etc. The Tu Đạt (Sudatta) prime minister, after he heard that, he attained like one of the middle ranks of spiritual level of consciousness. So the Tu Đạt (Sudatta) saind to Him, “Obeisance to the World Honored One. I will invite You to the Xá Vệ (Sravasti) country. So all the country citizens will cut off the wrong concept, the wrong belief, and follow You.” So He called Sariputra and said, “Sariputra, Tu Đạt (Sudatta) wants to make an ashram to propagate the Buddha Dharma, to lead all beings there to turn to the right path in the Xá Vệ (Sravasti) country, so that he can invite me there to preach for Dharma. But he doesn't know how to do it. So you go there and help him to build the ashram.”

Buddhist Stories: The Layperson Who Offered an Ashram to the Buddha, Part 2 of 8 Aug. 15, 2015

Now it's Buddha story. In Xá Vệ (Sravasti) country at that time, there was a big official, probably a prime minister. His name is Tu Ðạt (Sudatta). He’s a very rich person, but he is very compassionate. He often gives away his properties, his wealth, to share with other people. It’s not like he’s rich and the prime minister and he’s very arrogant. No. He’s a good, good, good person as well. He often gives things to people who are lonely, or have no one, or are in trouble, or poor. So they called him Cấp Cô Dộc (Anathapindika). Meaning, giving to the vulnerable, the lonesome, to whoever is lonesome, or like widows, and orphans, and elderly who have no one to care for (them). He had seven sons, and six of them were already married. The seventh also was very moral, morally fit and a distinguished person. He was beautiful looking, also. The last one was his favorite. And now one of the Brahman's good friends came one day. "I would like to ask you a favor. Please go and check really thoroughly to see which is a really good family's daughter. Almost equal in status, and good, good, good behavior, good moral standards, truly a virtuous girl. Also have to be clean and pure, and beautiful looking. And then, ask if they'd marry my son for me…."

The Surangama Sutra: Twenty-Five Means to Enlightenment, Session Five, Part 9 of 11 April 7, 2019

"Because I have obtained the perfect penetration of the sense-organ and have discovered the wonder of the ear entrance, after which my body and mind subtly and miraculously included all of the Dharma Realm, I am able to make it so that living beings who uphold my name obtain as much merit and virtue as would be obtained by a person who upheld the names of all those Dharma Princes who are as many as the grains of sand in 62 Ganges Rivers." "World Honored One," Quan Yin Bodhisattva continued, "there is no difference between the merit of my one name and the merit of those many other names, because from my cultivation I obtained true and perfect penetration." Therefore, She can go everywhere. She can manifest Herself into all different lands and different countries, different realms, and speak to different beings to awaken them and liberate them, because of Her power, because of that. She concentrates so much, that there is no more physical world for Her. All is just pure, pure Light and power, spiritual power.

“Two hundred thousand liters of water to produce one kilo beef.” “Five hamburgers is the water equivalent to a year’s showers!” “Agriculture, particularly meat and dairy products, account for 70% of global fresh water consumption, 38% of the total land use, and 19% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions.” United Nations Environment Programme Report. From 2000 to 2009, it’s still not that much. And then from 2030 to 2039, they predict because of the emission of greenhouse gases, there will be more droughts, more hot, so more drought. If we don’t stop the greenhouse gas emissions due to animal products, and if we don’t stop the use of too much clean water for the animal industry, then our children’s children’s children will probably die, die from thirst. It’s terrible.

So, Manjusri continued speaking. “I bow to the Ones, and the Tripitaka, And to those inconceivable ones with no outflows, Trusting they will aid those in the future, So that no one will doubt this Dharma-door. …for those immersed in the final age, they should cultivate this organ of hearing, A perfect penetration that surpasses all others. It is the way to the true Bodhi." "Thereupon, Ananda and all in the great assembly experienced a clarity of body and mind. Having attained such profound instruction, they contemplated the Buddha’s Bodhi and Parinirvana. …Throughout the entire assembly, the gods, dragons, and all the eightfold division, …Found their fundamental mind and, far removed from dust and defilement, attained the purity of the Dharma Eye.” Up until bhiksus who do not wear silk, who do not wear leather boots, furs, or down, etc., and not consume milk, cream, or butter, can truly transcend this world. But must practice also the Quan Yin Method; that’s what He meant.

The Essence of a Buddha, Part 5 of 5 Feb. 28, 2005

Love is not a bar to spiritual progress. It’s just attachment is a different thing. I can’t really explain it. Some couples are very loving together, and they’re OK. And other couples look like also loving together, but it’s attachment. You understand? You two are love! Because you are highly developed persons, so you have real love, understand? It’s different. But attachment really will slow you down. It’s just we all have artistic tendency within us. Because we came from the Creator, it’s the urge to create, beautiful things. We came from beautiful planets, and we came from beautiful worlds. We came from beauty, truth, and virtues. So even in the human form, we’re so encased, so blind, and so locked up, we still feel the urge to do it. Some people feel more, some people feel less. It depends on the situation that they can develop or not.

Iranian People’s Sincerity and Passion in Spiritual Practice, Part 4 of 4 May 12, 2019

“I have something to ask You. I always shake a lot when I meditate. How do I overcome that?” We have physical energy, we have emotional energy, we have this kind of life force energy, all kinds of energies. And before that, do some physical exercises to release some of the pent-up kind of maybe negative thinking or negative influence from others or from yourself - karma. And then sit and meditate. And do the breathing exercise that I have told you. “One other quick thing, Master. Does it become more of just energy and not so much seeing, once you get past the Astral?” It depends on the person. Some people see visions; some people feel the vibration; some people feel different sensations or happiness or pleasure. But it's always, you have to concentrate on the third eye, whether or not you have visions or no visions. And always remember the Master, (Yes.) Five (Holy) Names, and the Gift, if you have.

A study has shown that the number of vegetarians out of a population of nearly 16.5 million people increased from 560,000 in 2004 to 720,000 in 2006. The number of part-time vegetarians grew rapidly as well. Around 3.5 million Dutch citizens abstain from eating meat a few days a week.” Wow! “Thirty-one percent of Indians are vegetarians.” You know how much is that? Three hundred fifty plus million people! Bravo. I love India. “Meat consumption is dropping across Europe and now in the US.” “Demand for milk has been in a free-fall for decades. US milk consumption has dropped 36% since the 1970s.” (Wow!)

So, if you allow me to continue to do retreat, then maybe some of your dreams will come true quicker. Your love is like children, clinging to mother; you don't let go. I told you last week or the week before, I said, I'm going on retreat for one month and three days. Didn't I? (Yes, Master.) Even if you listened, you still come more than before! I have to try to do many things, and balance it, but it's not always easy. I just hope that I can do more before I leave this physical body. I feel time is very pressing. And, "Master, I pass the message from our contact person, they send their love to You and they're really grateful for Your love that showers them every day of their lives." Tell them the same, that I love them. The Kurd and the Iranian, they speak the same Persian language? They are at peace now, right? "Yes, better. It's getting better, thank You."

Four Types of Beings in Our Life, Part 5 of 6 July 14, 2019

And my cave in Spain, it was just a cave, a lot of rock and rough and it was not accessible. It's far away from any human's quarter. So, around is all trees and bushes, birds and squirrels and rabbits, and stuff like that. Oh, beautiful place! There's nothing, really, just that. But, for me, it's beautiful, because it's so quiet. But in that cave, I had the biggest ever realization. And the Gift that I gave some of you, also from that time. That was one of the best times in my life, just like in India when I had nothing. I love having nothing. You just feel so free. In heaven, you don't need to want anything. Or even whatever you want, it's already there for you. And even if you want anything extra just for creativity's sake, you just think about it, it's right there. But here, you are not allowed to use this. I'm not allowed to use so many things.

But with around 7,000,000 vegetarians, Germany currently has the highest number.” It’s wonderful, huh? Good news? (Yes!) You guys have been diligent. The media also has to be thanked. They spread all this news. So the people copy and want to do the same.
