Whatever We Want, We Will Have It, Part 2 of 12

They’re very honest people, you know. We just mistakenly gave a little bit more and they just ran after us and returned the rest of the money. They say otherwise you have to buy more to make up for the money. They don’t take your money at all. The people around here, you can trust.

In today’s news, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai presents the Shining World Compassion Award to British charity providing free emergency heating and plumbing services to vulnerable, United Nations report assesses the devastating impacts of COVID-19 globally, symbiotic lifeforms thought to be extinct found off Japan’s coast, solar-powered cold storage helps Kenyan farmers keep produce cool and reduce food waste, four-year-old pianist to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City, United States, major global investment bank projects worldwide shift towards plant-based diet, and dog rescues baby deer from lake in Virginia, USA. In Shining World Compassion Award News from the United Kingdom … DEPHER, which stands for Disabled and Elderly Plumbing and Heating Emergency Repair, brings relief to vulnerable individuals by providing free emergency heating and plumbing services. James Anderson started DEPHER as a tribute to his son, William, who passed away at a young age. Since the founding of DEPHER in 2017, James has provided help to over 10,200 families in need throughout the UK with cost-free work, including boiler and bathroom installations. During the 2020 Christmas holiday period alone, over 86 urgent callouts were attended to free of charge. DEPHER also helps pay utility bills, offers personal protective equipment, and has a food bank to assist people during these challenging times with funding from donations or private jobs. “We go to elderly, disabled and vulnerable homes, to people who are in a situation where they can’t afford to get the repairs done with the problem of heat, where they can’t afford to pay for the gas and electric, where they have to choose between either heating the home or eating a meal. We don’t want people to be like that. We want people to be able to live in comfort, live in safety, live in warmth, and also be able to eat a meal. It’s our duty as humanity to look after the people who need us. So that’s the main basis of DEPHER, to give love and care to everybody in the community, especially the elderly, vulnerable and disabled.” Upon learning about the assistance James is providing to the less fortunate, our Benevolent Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Compassion Award to DEPHER, plus US$10,000 in humble support of the free emergency plumbing services you provide, with gratitude and much love. May Heaven bless and protect you and your team.” Our Association members in Surrey, United Kingdom, were honored to present the Award letter, crystalline plaque, Master’s financial contribution, as well as Her publications and DVDs to Mr. James Anderson. “It is with great admiration and gratitude that we present to DEPHER the ‘Shining World Compassion Award’ for bringing smiles of relief to vulnerable individuals, by providing free plumbing services during emergencies. This Award is presented in recognition of DEPHER’s heartfelt, benevolent kindness, lovingly caring for those in need, exemplifying the community spirit that has united England and given hope to the underserved. For untiring commitment, helping the less fortunate, and for your sagely wisdom endowed with a noble heart of gold, with much appreciation, we praise the great compassionate deeds of the angelic team members of DEPHER. May Heaven bless and protect you and all involved. In God’s Love and Blessings. Supreme Master Ching Hai.” “Supreme Master Ching Hai, we’re all on the same planet. We all believe in the same thing from the same heart that was given to us by the same God. And I thank You from my heart and forever You will be my family. And my family will always be Yours. Thank You very much.” Our warmest congratulations and thanks, James Anderson and all of the wonderful helpers at DEPHER. We are truly inspired by your caring work and pray this benevolent example of compassion to those in need sparks countless others to follow in your footsteps. For the full presentation of the Shining World Compassion Award to DEPHER, please tune in to our Shining World Awards program at a later date. United Nations (UN) report presents the deteriorating impacts of COVID-19 worldwide. A new paper titled “The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2021” assesses that the pandemic has pushed 119 to 124 million people into poverty with constant hunger again and likely caused 83 to 132 million more persons to experience hunger in 2020. Furthermore, COVID-19 has threatened progress in health, with 90% of countries still reporting disruptions to essential health services, while billions do not have safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene. Alarmingly, the biodiversity and pollution emergencies have persisted, and the climate crisis remains “largely unabated,” as the global average temperature has reached 1.2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. To recover progress, the UN urges countries to take “critical” actions in the next 18 months to adopt “low-carbon, resilient and inclusive” development measures. The United Nations is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership Award for Humanitarianism and two Shining World Leadership for Lives-Saving-Hero Awards. Many thanks, United Nations, for this eye-opening report. To sustain all lives, may humanity urgently shift to a vegan world, in God’s upliftment. Up next, symbiotic lifeforms thought to be extinct found off Japan’s coast. Let’s spend a moment to thank the vegan cake designers, who enhance weddings, birthdays and other special occasions with their sweet cake and icing creations. We’ll return with more engaging news after this message here on Supreme Master Television. Vegan: cuz it is below dignity 2 harm the meek.Lovely viewers, how are you doing? I’m Quincey the vegan Quoll. Do you want to know the secret of my good mood? It’s because I eat plant-based food! Would you like a tip on how to tell if it’s time to replace your tires? Simply do a coin test by inserting a coin into the tread groove. Well, every country is different and you can probably find out the best coin to use for this tire test by searching real quick on the internet. Or, just measure across the coin with a ruler and find a visual reference point at the 3-millimeter mark – for example, the border of a one-euro coin in Europe. If the inserted coin shows that the groove is less than 3 millimeters deep, the tires are worn out and you are due for a new set. Drive safely, everyone! Lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Thank you for watching. Now for the weather from around the world. Symbiotic lifeforms discovered after disappearing from fossil record. The beings, sea lilies and two kinds of non-skeletal corals, were thought to have not existed for 273 million years but were recently found thriving on the Pacific Ocean floor off the coast of Japan. Located 100 meters below sea level, the corals grow on top of sea lilies to gain better access to food in passing water currents. The Japanese and Polish researchers who studied them used special non-invasive methods to look at their internal structures and also DNA. What a great find, researchers from Poland and Japan, in discovering fascinating living beings on the ocean floor. In the love of Heaven, may the humble plants, animals and others residing in all areas of the planet exist in balance and harmony with their surroundings as we protect the delicate ecosystems on which our lives rely. Cold storage using sun power helps reduce food waste in Kenya. A Kenya-based company, SokoFresh, is providing 100% solar-powered mobile cold storage units to smallholder farmers of avocados, mangos, and french beans for a minimal charge, on a pay-as-you-go basis. About 90% of Kenya’s agricultural produce is from smallholder farmers, and many of them do not have access to cold storage facilities, thus leading to increased wastage. SokoFresh said, “More than 30% of all food produced in the world for human consumption gets lost or wasted, and food loss in Africa occurs almost entirely in the production and distribution stages.” Through this service, farmers will be able to have up to 50% more income per harvest with better quality produce and less waste. What a wonderful initiative, SokoFresh. In Celestial blessings, may we conserve Mother Earth’s gifts of resources for all inhabitants. Four-year-old pianist to debut at Carnegie Hall. Brigitte Xie of Ridgefield, Connecticut, United States, began taking piano lessons during the coronavirus lockdown in September 2020, when she was three years old. In just several months, the talented child has excelled and won several prizes, including first place at the Elite International Music Competition, which earned her a performance spot at Carnegie Hall for the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition in November 2021. The budding pianist, who plans to play Mozart, will be among the youngest musicians to perform before a live audience on the iconic stage in New York City. Her piano teacher Felicia Feng Zhang said, “She is really exceptional.” Wow, you are amazing, little Brigitte! We wish you all the best as you prepare for your first exciting recital at Carnegie Hall. In the Divine’s melodious blessings, may you and all young musicians find enthusiasm and joy in the enthralling world of music. Coming up, major global investment bank projects worldwide shift towards plant-based diet. We’ll be right back after performing some yoga poses to help improve our strength, balance and flexibility. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more noble news. Vegan leader: hurry up 2 lead people 2 righteousness. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Supporting News for a Joyful World. Global investment bank’s report states a shift towards plant-based diet a necessity. Credit Suisse’s paper “The Global Food System: Identifying Sustainable Solutions” outlines the extensive changes needed to support an expanding human population, which is forecast to reach 10 billion by 2050. These include an “inevitable” shift towards a plant-based diet and the need for reforms by governments worldwide to end support of foods that are unhealthy and do harm to the environment. The paper also recognizes that animal livestock raising, which includes land conversion, animal feed and methane production, is a primary reason for climate change. The publication points out that vegan food sales could reach US$1.4 trillion by 2050 and that the market will be driven by increasing consumer awareness, government support, as well as more investment opportunities in plant-based food production. Thank you, Credit Suisse, for your important report on the plant-based diet. May all people join as one to create a sustainable future through adopting the planet-saving vegan lifestyle, in Heaven’s love. Dog saves fawn from lake in United States. A six-year-old Goldendoodle named Harley was found herding a baby deer back to the shore from the middle of a lake in Virginia, United States. Ralph Dorn, Harley’s caregiver, then helped the fawn to climb up a steep, rocky ledge and onto the grass. Harley continued to interact with, lick and care for the little fawn until the mother deer appeared. The next morning, Harley ran from window to window and when let out, found the fawn in the tree line and reunited with her, where they touched noses and sniffed each other. The heartwarming story went viral on Facebook and received many positive comments and words of gratitude. Fantastic job, Harley, you’ve melted our hearts as well! Wishing your new fawn friend a safe and happy future, and may your selfless heroism inspire many more humans to treasure all animal co-inhabitants, in God’s forever guiding grace. Let’s stretch up and enjoy a laugh with a joke of the day entitled, “Following the Rules.” As Al was approaching the escalator, he saw a sign next to it that read: “Dogs must be carried here.” “Now, where am I going to get a dog from?!” And now we have a heartline from Rafael in Mexico: For our Beloved Master Ching Hai, Salvation comes from the East, with Her cloak, She reached the West. Her presence fills us with Blessings and conscious Love, Her Divine Light encourages us to follow the path of spiritual Light. Our soul rejoices in Her presence of peace and dual Love – the Heavenly and the Earthly come together to give us the hope of a vegan world. Mother Earth, Nature, must be saved with a vegan habit. I ask the Gods of the Universe, the Angels and Archangels for Their protection. I ask God Almighty to give You health, protection and well-being in this work full of Love for humanity and the Universe. Master Ching Hai, we Mexicans send You our love. Thank You very much for Your Blessings. Rafael from Mexico Muchas gracias, Rafael, for these enriching words. Master kindly responds: “Eloquent Rafael, it is wonderful to have so much support from the Heavenly and Universal Realms as well as the love from you wonderful initiates here on Earth. The Olympics: Celebrating Unity and Peace through Sports, Part 2 of 3

The story goes that the creation of the Olympic Truce began with two kings living near Olympia, Greece named Iphitos and Cleomenes I, who with the help of the Spartan lawyer Lycurgus, formalized an agreement to make the Olympic Truce a reality, and something that would later become an integral part of the Olympic vision. With this contract in place, the Olympic Truce provided security and safety f

New citizen. Aulacese (Vietnamese)? (You see, Master understood.) (No, Master did not understand. I’ve just spoken Aulacese [Vietnamese], but Master did not understand.) I understood, why didn’t I? (Master understood.) (I just told Master to buy things from me, but You ignored me.) Didn’t I buy it? (She said You ignored her.) I did buy some. (Yes, you did. You bought peanuts.) No, I bought some peanuts already. (Yes, she said You... I told her. I told her Master is Aulacese [Vietnamese], and Master understood Aulacese [Vietnamese].) OK, I don’t have this. (I don’t know how to sing that song.) (I forgot how to sing that song. I live here quite long, so I forget it all.) Say it again. Which song? Which song can you sing? Which song? (Now, I don’t remember at all. I am so happy to remember anything.) So how come you said that I don’t understand. (So happy…) She said she’s worried I don’t understand Aulacese (Vietnamese). I said, “Do you know any Aulacese (Vietnamese) song?” She said, “Nothing. Don’t remember.” OK. I am sorry, guys. (Master, my vegetables are very good.) Thank you! (Master, these were grown in straw.) OK. Thank you. Because… (These were completely grown in straw.) I see. Then I’ll take those that are readily prepared. (OK. I will just take NT$100.) OK. NT$100 each, so four of them are NT$400. (Master is beautiful!) Thank you. (Hallo Master!) (Thank You.) Is everyone OK? (I love You.) I haven't walked through here, have I? (Master, I love You.) Love you. (Master is beautiful.) (Hallo Master!) Hallo! (Hallo Master!) I love you. (I love You.) Love you. (Master is so beautiful!) Thank you. Thank you. Hallo, how is everyone? (Master is so beautiful!) How are you? (Fine.) It’s warm. Do you feel cold? (No.) You don’t? Yeah, good, good. Thank you. Thank you for coming. Thank you. Oh! It’s better to be a man. Yes, you have more space. You can sit farther apart. That’s not bad. (Master has been working hard.) No, no. I am happy. Work is busy but it’s not hard. (OK.) It’s not hard. (Hallo Master.) Very good. (Hallo Master.) Are you OK sitting there? (Yes.) Were you assigned to sit there? Or did you volunteer? Volunteered, right? To see the old places. Wow! Is it OK here? (Yes.) You can squeeze together if it rains, right? (Yes.) OK. Wonderful! We don’t need to build an ashram, do we? There is no need. It’s good like this. The air is good, right? (Yes.) As long as we do this every day…on Sundays, it’s fine. It rained a lot yesterday. I am thinking of moving our "capital" to somewhere more sunny, such as Pingtung and Kaohsiung. But their centers are smaller. Let’s see if they can host us. Where are you from? (Pingtung.) There may be some odor over there. (A little.) A little. I did ask them to get ready in case we come. The place is bigger. Kaohsiung is smaller. It’s beautiful but smaller. There isn’t enough space for everyone to sit. OK? Have you seen me? (Hallo Master!) Hallo! Have you seen me? (Yes.) OK. OK. I will walk this way. (Hallo Master!) How are you? Hallo everyone! I love you guys. I love you guys very much. (Hallo Master!) Love you very much. Thanks for coming to see me. Thank you. Thank you. (Hallo Master!) Thank you. Enough. Have you seen me? I am the same as yesterday and the day before. I will walk that way later. (Hallo Master!) Are all the kids there? (Yes.) OK. I will go there later. OK? I don’t feel cold at all. Many people asked if I do any exercise. I said, “No, I don’t need to exercise. My dogs give me enough exercise. And when you come, I exercise a lot too.” OK? Thank you. Thank you for coming to see me. (Hallo Master!) Thank you. Hallo everyone! (Master, I love You.) Love you. I love you. (Master, I love You.) Love you. Love you. Thank you. (Master, I love You.) Love you. Love you. (Master, You are so beautiful.) I love You. I love you. Thank you. (Master, I love You.) I love you. Love you. (Thank You.) Thank you. Korean, huh? Korean, yes? (Yes.) Korean. Only Korean, nobody else? Oh, you came back. You stay here? I hardly see you. Where have you been? Sometimes I see you here. But you come up there also sometimes? OK.

Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Loving Concern for America, July 27, 2021

Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Loving Concern for America, July 27, 2021

Host: During a work-related phone call with a Supreme Master Television team member on July 27, 2021, Supreme Master Ching Hai graciously took time to answer some questions regarding a few current events. As it was spontaneous, we didn’t record the conversation properly. Thus, it is not suitable for airing. We sincerely apologize and offer our respected viewers this summary, along with a voice-over reading of the transcribable parts from Master’s replies. Following were a few of the highlights.Q(m): In California, a law called Proposition 47 requires some certain serious crimes to be charged as less serious ones, with the consequence that criminals are openly committing acts of theft without fear of prosecution. For example, one would have to steal over US$950 of goods from a store to commit a felony and thus have the police be interested in arresting the suspect. Below this amount, it is a misdemeanor and not considered worth the time of the police and prosecutors to arrest and convict the individual. What does Master think of this law?VO: Master answered that even misdemeanors, meaning minor crimes like theft, are unlawful, and could lead to worse, more serious felonies. Thus, governments should not be encouraging lawless behavior, which might cause other states’ or countries’ people to think that misdemeanors are acceptable. Also, after the California law was implemented, many small businesses and people have suffered from an increase in thefts; in some worse cases, businesses were forced to close, maybe due to fear of attack, and loss of income. Master said this is not right and so She does not agree with this law. In Master’s words: “They cannot, just because the prison is full, tell people to go out and steal. That is against society’s principle. That will lower people’s dignity, and create a chaotic, unsafe living environment. You cannot just live freely, stealing people’s property like that. And then in the meantime, you are even defunding the police, telling people to not buy guns and all that.No wonder crimes soared up. Because it is all contradictory, as they have to pay taxes, have to pay their employees, employees’ insurance, bonuses, vacations, etc. (Right.) They also have their families, children to take care of too! They must pay for all kinds of insurance, mortgages, school fees, and hundreds of other things. The government is responsible for the poor, not shoving this burden to private citizens, who already contribute for this through tax payment! How can they live being robbed anytime without protection from the police and authorities!? (Yes.) On top of that, they are not allowed to have guns for defense. (Not that I support guns, but the poor hapless people will be forced to resort to this means of defense, thus create a more beyond-control violent society!!!) It’s absolutely against logic, morals and any society’s safety standard. I hope they will change this harmful law! I mean, people have to survive. (Yes.) I mean the good people, the hardworking kind. (That’s right.) The backbone of society… Shop owners risking their capital to open a business, they must earn their money. And if the shop’s items are always being stolen like that, the business will be out, then consequently the employees, the good kind of people, will be fired. And then he has no money, and then what to do? Copy that thief. (Yes.) Maybe because they have no job. Or maybe because they say, ‘Oh, what the heck, why not?’ (Yes.) They work very hard. And that guy who does nothing, can come in and take everything he likes. ‘Why the heck I don’t do the same?’ See what I’m saying? (That’s right.) It’s a very bad, bad, bad example. It has this very bad reputation, for whatever county of the United States, or state, or country. You cannot teach people to be immoral and bad, and then expect the whole nation to be safe and sound! Especially the USA, the country that people look up to! Imagine being called the country of thieves! What an ‘honorable’ name for its citizens!” (Yes.)In Master’s words: “…They should solve the economic problem, not just avoid the crowded prisons or playing the good guy, caring not about how hard-working taxpayers must face hardship, danger daily, fending for themselves in a fearful, lawless country.Make other prisons different from them. Let them all work there and work in the garden. (Yes.) Even plant vegetables, make an organic farm. Plant, and sell. (Yes.) And enjoy. We are having shortages of food at present due to the climate, COVID and tons of other reasons. So let them contribute, not burden their countrymen and make bad examples for others, especially for the youth!”In Master’s words: “Any other questions?” (Thank You. Yes.) Q(m): The United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has created a special committee of House members to investigate the January 6, 2021 protest incident at the US Capitol. Republicans have generally opposed the committee’s formation, and Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has criticized the committee’s membership, as none of his picks for the committee were selected by Ms. Pelosi. Ms. Pelosi has chosen two Republicans as committee members, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. In Master’s words: “Oh, yeah, against Trump. (Yes.) They wanted to impeach him.” (Right. However, as You said, both voted in favor of impeaching His Excellency Donald Trump after the incident. The other seven committee members are Democrats.) “Ah.” Q(m): What does Master think of the formation of this committee? In Master’s words: “What a surprise! I am surprised. Surprised that in a very supposed-to-be just and democratic society, it’s a one-sided kind of judgment. (Yes.) Just say, even a normal citizen, when he committed something wrong, they have a fair court. (Yes.) And if they don’t even have money to hire a lawyer, the government even offers a lawyer for him or her. That was like that in America. (Yes.) But in President Trump’s case, it’s completely different, completely opposite to democracy. Without any lawyers, police even. (Yes.) In his old age, without friends, he could not bear. You can see already. Why bother making a committee? (Yes.) Just to write it all down, ‘He’s all guilty, he’s bad…’ Whatever. Like they have been saying all these years already. They even criticize, they call him bad names. They even call him bad names by his skin color or his hair or weight or whatever. Oh, it’s a terrible example of society. (Yes.) They don’t even respect his constitutional position as head of state. He’s one of the elected, legally, fairly, correctly. (Yes.) It’s not a fair trial, you can see it already. (Right.) What’s the use of the trouble of making a committee? (Yes.) Just to make themselves a laughing stock again for the global elites? It was the Speaker of the House, she refused and neglected to provide extra security on that day, though she had been reminded by President Trump and warned by others. And now they blame Trump. All blaming him. It’s not fair. And the Democrats make a bad reputation for themselves, with witch-hunting tactics like this. Everybody can see it’s one-sided and unfair.”VO: Master continued to shed light on this problem and its impact on the American nation. Then, the conversation about the United States turned to the recent show on Supreme Master Television about the first United States President, His Excellency George Washington. When Master was sent the program about President Washington for perusal, She had such a nostalgic feeling. In Master’s words: “I’m thinking to become an American citizen. Feels like my own race. (Yes.) He (George Washington) treated his enemy with love, you know, and respect. Oh, and that touched me a lot. That’s why I love the country so much. Even just the clip that you have… I felt, I don’t know, I just watched it again and again. It’s something I cannot explain. (Yes.)And then, I just wanted to become an American citizen to safeguard Her (America), from whoever tries to hurt Her. As if shielding a child from any bully! No! Seriously I was kind of taking sides, feeling sorry for the Americans, siding with President Washington, siding with the Americans. But consider my age already, what am I to do? Just had a strong kind of desire at that time, while watching. (Right. Yes.) And it still keeps lingering.” Host: We are grateful for our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai’s shared insights, as well as Her straightforward, loving advice for governments. May all leaders and citizens alike uphold fair and noble principles, thus helping to preserve the moral dignity of our human race. We wish Cherished Master to continue Her noble Work in peace and robust health, with the forever loyal assistance of all High Heavens. For the full broadcast of this work-related phone call with Supreme Master Ching Hai, please tune in to Between Master and Disciples on Friday, August 6, 2021.

In today’s news, Turkey launches vocational training center for women in Herat, Afghanistan, action plan initiated for saving endangered plant species in Australia, Washington State in United States passes law requiring greenhouse gas emission neutrality by 2050, study from Germany highlights benefits of youthful state of mind, kind-hearted woman in Chennai, India, provides free mobile oxygen service to help COVID-19 sufferers, vegan animal companion food startup introduces plant-based formula for dogs, and mother pig escapes pig factory to birth ten piglets in United Kingdom. Turkey sets up vocational training center for Afghan women. State-run aid agency, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), opened a sewing and dress design vocational training center for women in western Afghanistan. The center is owned by the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Women. TIKA's Herat office said in a statement that upon completion of the tailoring and designing courses, the graduates will more easily be able to find work and be self-sustaining, thus making positive contributions to their families and society. The skills garnered for designing and tailoring garments means the women will also be able to produce uniforms for various institutions and government organizations. Turkey is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion recipient and a laureate of five Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection and Good Governance. What a marvelous friendship and generous move, Turkey, with your caring efforts assisting Afghan women to be more employable. In Allah’s blessings, may you and the benevolent people of Afghanistan live in peace and harmony. Action plan created for Australia’s most threatened native flora. A publication by the Threatened Species Recovery Hub in Australia has identified 50 plant species at the greatest risk of extinction and the measures required to recover their populations. According to the Australian government-supported assessment, plants make up more than 70% of nationally listed threatened species, and at least 12 native plant species have become extinct since European settlement 230 years ago. Led by Dr. Rod Fensham from the University of Queensland, the analysis noted that the main cause of the flora’s decline is extensive land clearing for agriculture and urbanization, while climate change is adding an increased threat to their survival. To conserve Australian plants, the plan states that the most important action is habitat protection, while ensuring consistent monitoring and research. Australia is a recipient of five Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection and Good Governance; as well as a laureate of three Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Caring, Good Governance, Health Guardian and High Moral Value. Many thanks, Australia, Threatened Species Recovery Hub, Dr. Rod Fensham and all involved. In God’s eternal care, may we always conserve all species as they play diverse roles in Earth’s natural ecology. Up next, Washington State in United States passes law requiring greenhouse gas emission neutrality by 2050. We wish to thank all the loving hospital volunteers who do tasks for doctors, nurses and staff, as well as helping patients and guests, all the while giving their time and energy without financial compensation. I can share with you a personal secret to look younger than your age. Just be vegan! Did you know that many museums around the world have used their creativity to offer virtual tours during the pandemic? Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to worry less and you and your kids can always leave the tour early if you like. This is not only an educational experience, but one in which you can spend quality time with your family. Thank you for tuning in and love you a lot for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now for the weather around the globe. Washington State to be at net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050. The state of Washington in the United States recently enacted the Climate Commitment Act into law - a legislative package that requires it to be a net-zero GHG emitter by 2050. The state had previously promised to reduce its climate pollution by 50% by 2030. Other newly approved laws address hydrofluorocarbon pollution, establish clean fuel standards for transportation, limit single-use plastics and boost recycled content in plastic containers. The waste plastic legislation will reduce the state’s dependence on fossil fuel-derived plastics, which in turn will help protect its majestic beaches and wildlife. Kudos, Washington State leaders and all involved, for your conscientious plan to protect your beautiful land for all current and future inhabitants. In the grace of the Providence, may your endeavors soon include the necessary step of Vegan Law to most powerfully and positively impact the environment and climate stability. German study reveals that feeling younger may increase lifespan. Research by the German Centre of Gerontology has linked feeling young to a longer life expectancy and better health when aging. The investigation analyzed data from more than 5,000 people over the age of 40 and found that stress may shorten life expectancy as well as negatively affect health. Overall, those who had the most stress saw the largest chance of declining functional health skills like climbing stairs, bathing and dressing, while those that felt young experienced less decline. The lead author of the study, Dr. Markus Wettstein, suggested that interventions such as messaging campaigns that present positive images of aging can help people to feel younger and thus be beneficial, along with helping them reduce and handle stress better. Thank you, Dr. Markus Wettstein and all German Centre of Gerontology researchers involved, for your encouraging inquiry. In the radiance of the Divine, may all global citizens live peace-filled lives with a healthy balance between work, rest and contemplation on their soul. Altruistic Indian woman honors her mother through free mobile oxygen service. R. Seetha Devi, 36, from Chennai, India, lost her mother to COVID-19 when she could not receive oxygen therapy in time. In response, Ms. Devi has equipped an auto-rickshaw with an oxygen cylinder to provide free oxygen to those in need to help them avoid the same fate. Promptly at 7:00 am daily, Ms. Devi shows up at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai to offer oxygen to patients as they wait for a bed. She also lends her cylinder to ambulances that run out of oxygen. So far, she has assisted over 500 people free of charge, including transporting them to nearby medical facilities, and modified two more auto-rickshaws into oxygen-supplying vehicles. As well, Ms. Devi operates an NGO called Street Vision Social Charitable Trust to help underprivileged children. We offer our profound gratitude and admiration for your life-giving services, R. Seetha Devi and all those that aid you in this noble work. God bless you all. We pray that those who have succumbed during this pandemic rest peacefully, in Heaven’s eternal shelter. Coming up, vegan animal companion food startup introduces plant-based formula for dogs. We will take some moments to thank God, that even when we are tested with obstacles, Hes is always there renewing our faith with both invisible and visible support. We’ll return with more munificent news on Supreme Master Television. Vegan: teach children healthy living n noble thinking. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Uplifting News for a Kinder World. Sustainability-focused animal companion food company launches plant-based formula for dogs. United States vegan startup Petaluma, Inc. has introduced a world-first – a baked and 100% plant-based food for adult dogs of all breeds. Petaluma’s Roasted Peanut Butter & Sweet Potato Flavor has been carefully designed to meet all of a dog’s nutritional requirements without the need for animal products. It contains 50%-plus organic ingredients and a blend of plant-based proteins, including organic chickpeas, peanuts, brown rice, and yeast. In the United States, 20% of all meat consumption is attributed to dogs. This is equivalent to the amount of meat consumed by 69 million people. Opting for plant-based dog food lowers an individual dog’s diet-related greenhouse gas emissions by 75%, the effects on land use by 90%, and freshwater use by 50%. A round of applause, Petaluma, for your Earth-protecting creation! In the guiding Light of the Divine, may all beings go vegan to save our planet. Courageous sow flees pig factory to save her piglets. A pregnant pig escaped the place where she was being raised for slaughter and gave birth to 10 piglets in a nearby wooded area close to Ollerton, England, United Kingdom. A dog walker saw the loving mom, later named Matilda, and her 10 babies and contacted Brinsley Animal Rescue. Volunteers started feeding the family with plans to save them; however, after three days, the pig factory recaptured them. Within one day, the charity gathered a 5,000-strong petition to rescue brave Matilda and her piglets, as well as started a campaign named “Rescue the Ollerton 11.” Later, the factory owners agreed to relinquish the family if the planned demonstration advocating for the pigs was canceled. Members of the loving pig family will be placed at the Surge Sanctuary and other forever homes. Many thanks, Brinsley Animal Rescue, Surge Sanctuary and all whose voices were instrumental in saving eleven innocent beings, in the love of the Providence. How about a joke of the day to relax with for a while? It’s called, “Unusual Behavior.” A group of bats was hanging around as usual from a cave ceiling when they noticed Bridget standing upright all by herself on the floor. Intrigued by her unusual behavior, one bat asked: “What’s the matter with you, Bridget? Why are you standing like that?” “I’m doing yoga!” ?! And now we have a heartline from Ellie in Georgia, United States: I want to sincerely thank You, Master, for Your unconditional Love and protection. About a week ago, I was helping with the final phase of construction for the exterior of our vegan restaurant. While I was cleaning up near the entrance of the restaurant, other co-workers were putting up hardiplank (siding) for the wall. One whole piece of four feet by eight feet fell down from about a 30-foot height. It fell directly down where I was. At that instant, I felt a force push my head away from the object; the hardiplank fell past my head, missing it by an inch. My brother-in-law and my younger brother were on top of the scissor lift. Both were frozen and couldn’t react and couldn’t tell me to get out of the way as it fell down. Everything happened too fast. After it hit the ground, I was shocked also. I looked around to see who pushed me away, but no one did; I know it was You, Master, who saved my life. I’m forever grateful for Your unconditional Love and protection. Thank You, Master, from the bottom of my heart. I wish the highest Heaven always protects Master. May Master always have good health, happiness and be safe. I will always love You, most Beloved Master. Your disciple, Ellie from Georgia, United States Lucky Ellie, Our gratefulness to you for sharing this amazing story. That you escaped injury in this way is yet another example of Master’s Divine power in action. May God continue to bless you and the energetic American people in your inspired endeavors. Master sends this loving reply: “Favored Ellie, your good fortune must also be a response to your loving deeds and opening your vegan restaurant! I am so glad you are alright, and I send you my Love, enthusiasm for this new venture and joyfully wish you all the luck and success. May the Heavens guide and nurture you, your loved ones, and enterprising America.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartlineThank you for your presence on Noteworthy News. May Heaven’s infinite light shine on you and your loved ones.

„După ce Ea a creat prima muncă, Ea îşi va da jos flacăra Sa înţeleaptă de după gândit, şi va arăta mânia iraţională.” „Atunci Ea va alunga zeii haosului, şeful creator i-a co-creat, (dar nu a fost capabil să-i facă perfect). Ea îi va arunca jos în abis.”

Buddhist Stories: Cinca the Brahmin Girl, Part 5 of 5

It looks like champagne. Looks very much like champagne. Beautiful and it bubbles and everything. Except no alcohol. All is good? (Yes. Very good.) Happy, happy? (Yes. Thank You, Master.) You know what, we’re going to eat some of this because always sweet, sweet, sweet. Oh, like it. OK. Any questions at all concerning the lecture I just gave you? My God, so quiet. Suddenly. No problem? (No.) OK. Then that’s good. We have champagne even, non-alcoholic champagne. Want to drink some? (Yes.) You still have your cup? No. (Yes.) Good. I’m trying. Careful. I’m scared. Somebody do it. I’m scared. Up there, not… (It will shoot up. It will fly out, fly out.) (Go easy.) (Go easy.) Otherwise, it will shoot up and make trouble. I’m scared! I’m afraid of that. (Or else, it will pop.) (Or else, it will pop. Go easy.) Just do it if you know how, honey. Can you open it? I don’t have enough… (Open it gently.) I don’t have enough strength in my arm. I’m so scared, man. OK. You open one more. You open one more. And anyone else who knows how, open one more. Just don’t shoot here. Very nice. Just a little bit, everybody a little bit each. For fun, yeah? Right. Yeah. OK. What is “Oh, oh, oh?” What’s that? Oh more, then we can have more. Yeah, after, after. Drink that first and then we may have a second round. Right now I make it more then. Where is yours? Pop. Pop, pop, pop, pop. (Thank You.) Welcome, my love. (Let Master pour it. Give it to Master to pour in.) You do it, because I... I cannot keep reaching. Whom is this for? For the guy over there? (Yes.) How can he drink (non-alcoholic) wine while working? (He’d get drunk.) Bubbling. Continue, go. Give it. Go, go, go. Everybody, one cup. Right. There you go. Thank you. Here don’t have, here don’t have yet? Don’t have? Never mind. You pour out for yourself. All right. It’s good? Yep. (You drink, Master?) Yes, yes, yes. Boom! Come here. Your cup. Whose cup is that? It’s frothing so much. (Pour for Yourself too, Master.) Cheers. (Cheers.) Cheers! Cheers! (Cheers!) Oh quick, quick, quick, drink. (Drink it before it foams over.) (The cameraman.) (More, more.) What? What do you mean camera? (Give him one to drink.) Oh never mind, he’s on a diet! Where’s your cup? You have it? (Yes) Yeah. Good. He has it. Some girl takes care of him, don’t worry. Good-looking guy, everybody takes care. See, nobody takes care of me. See, I have to pour the (non-alcoholic) wine myself. Yeah, see that? And he already had it. Some more here, honey. Have some. I don’t want it. Sour. (It’s so exciting, so exciting!) Don’t like me, but like (vegan) cakes. Everybody. Give … give it to the other side. Everybody one. You have yet? (Not yet.) Oh, have two already, no. One is … (One, one.) We don’t have a lot of people and time to go buy, not because of ... You know? We can’t always go shopping. This’s better to balance. It was too sweet before. Have? No have? Anybody don’t have? (Thank You, Master.) Anybody don’t have? (More.) More. Anybody who did not have? (So exciting!) Oh. Have already, my God. This, please bring to the Chinese. (People back there haven’t got it yet, Master.) And the other rooms. (Yes, the back room.) For the back rooms. Don’t look at this here. Don’t dream about it. Maybe tomorrow, all right? (Yes, yes.) Looks good and keep it like that. The Indonesians, very elegant. (Yes.) They even brought this. Basket and even basted some of this. (They’ve just made this afternoon.) Yeah. So good. (Yes.) How? How nice. A very big thing like this. Big beard, big antennae. Beautiful. Basket looks more beautiful. (That animal shape, they brought the leaves with them.) I know. They said that earlier. (They brought the leaves from over there as well.) All the way from Indonesia, they brought these leaves and made it right here. Wow! Can I keep? (Yes.) Keep. I don’t keep the banana leaves, though. But it looks good here. (You can put something nice in there, Master.) It’s beautiful. I keep these good banana leaves, that one no, and I can put some stuff on it. I don’t know what stuff, but it looks beautiful. That grapefruit looks beautiful. Yes, that’s right. Ah yeah. OK. Yeah. Some of the (vegan) cakes around here. Make you beautiful. OK, right. (It’s cute!) (Add one more.) (Too many, it will crush the four animal shapes.) Here they are. They’re at the bottom. Good, good, good. There are only three, not four. This maybe you don’t have in India, try it. You just press it until it’s open, eat the white thing inside. And don’t eat the nut inside the white. Eat the flesh only. Canadian. Brazilian. French-Brazilian. (Mauritian.) Oh, Mauritius. Australian. Yes. Don’t have any more of that. Belgium, Belgium. (Thank you.) French. Just for fun. Oopsy. You can take it. If it runs to you, means it wants you, it likes you. Aulacese (Vietnamese) don’t need. Korean, maybe. Korean. Mongolian. How many Mongolians? Raise hands, Mongolian. Mongolian. Mongolian, Mongolian. Korean, Korean. This is a special grapefruit from Asia. Not the same as grapefruit in ... Do you have them? Green like this. (In India, yes.) Same. I give to you then. Oh, sorry love. You peel it. It’s still clean if you peel it. Don’t be jealous, no. Âu Lạc (Vietnam) you eat a lot. No, no, I give him this one. (There. That lady, that lady. There.) Grandma. (There, that’s right.) OK. (Mongolian.) You Âu Lạc (Vietnam), Indonesian, they have. Never mind. Eat it. Because you don’t know it mostly, so I gave it to you. The Asian people, they know all this. (Mangosteen.) Mangosteen. I caught it. Sorry, I can’t give everybody this. Can open this and everybody else can have. Do you have another one? No, just this one? (I have some.) Mongolian did not have? Have? (Yes.) Everybody have? (Yes.) Korean? Singapore? (Thank You.) It’s not fair. Singapore has a lot of this. (Yes.) (Imported.) Thank you. (Thank You.) Thank you for the coconut sugar. It’s very good. I tried it. Very nice. Nowadays, they make all kinds of sugar, more environmentally friendly. Like coconut, coconut sugar. Make sugar out of coconuts. Very sweet. (Should I peel that one too?) Yeah, yeah. Please do. Give me a knife or something, so everybody has half to try. If not, then I eat all by myself. Not for you, you don’t have to come here now because… (Where has He been, He’s just now coming in?) He was lying on His bed out there. You want (non-alcoholic) champagne? No, you don’t. You just like to have fun. Why did you bring it now? You should have it before. OK, you ate up all the storeroom today already. Tomorrow we have nothing. Yeah, understand? (Yes.) Don’t think every day is like this. It’s good, it’s good... Don’t eat the peel just because Master touched it. Who doesn’t have? It’s OK. Next one. (Thank You.) (Be quick.) Oh, you have already. Then don’t need, don’t need. (Thank You.) Oh, sorry. You found it? Oh good, it’s on your body, no problem. OK, then. Don’t have also in Mauritius, right? (Yes.) Rare, right? (This one, we have.) You have? This you don’t have. (Yes, this one we don’t.) (Does) India have this? Have? Imported? (We have this but it’s bigger size.) (Bigger.) Bigger one is lychee. (Yes. Lychee.) Lychee is more famous. (Yes very famous.) This is called dragon eye. I don’t know which part of the dragon eye it is, but they call it dragon eye. It’s good. I’m going, guys, because we just sit here eating. I’m not doing any job here. Let me see whom I give. (Does) Indonesia have this? (Yes.) Then, you don’t. Here, Canadian. Australian. Brazilian. No, Belgium. Mauritius, one more of this because you don’t have it there. Sorry love, sorry love. Take it, take it, I give you. Some more, Indian? Bombay, Bombay, yeah? Both of you Bombay? (Yes.) I have not been to Bombay. I don’t know how to give you this, so forget it. Forget it, it’s difficult. We have to cut them. Mongolian. (Thank You.) Take it, one each. (Thank You.) Mongolia also difficult to have this, right? Desert land. OK, I’m going now, really I’m going. OK, you cut this, small, small and then give it to people. (Share it with everyone.) Share it like we did earlier. Where is the knife? Ah, here it is. You go to the kitchen. You make it into segments, and then smaller pieces, so everyone can have. Don’t give it to anyone who already has it. Good Love, I’m going home now. You want to stay? (Thank You, Master.) You’re welcome. Sorry, sorry. You want to stay, or you want to go home? (Your spiritual book?) No, I leave it there. Want to go? (Thank You, Master.) See you. Let's go! You only eat, drink, and play around here. After this, you guys go out meditate, OK? (Yes.) Party’s over. (OK. Thank You, Master.)

In today’s news, Korea donates rice to Laos, researchers in United States find Earth now absorbing double the heat, invention helps musicians with disabilities pursue their dreams, wildlife-friendly Ibis Rice project expanding in Cambodia, Hungarian and Israeli professor jointly win prestigious mathematics prize, Canada’s Komo Plant Based Foods Inc. launches healthy vegan taco filling, and survey shows most New Zealand employees prefer dog companions in the workplace. Korea provides food assistance to Laos. The Korean Ambassador to Laos, His Excellency Moohong Im, presented 1,320 metric tons of rice with a value of about US$1.26 million to a United Nations’ World Food Programme (WFP) representative in Vientiane, Laos. Her Excellency Madame Baykham Khatthiya, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare of Laos, witnessed the donation. This generous contribution will be used to help the most vulnerable communities in Laos during unforeseen natural disasters and food shortages. In some emergency cases, WFP will directly work with local areas to quickly respond to community rice needs. Over recent years, climate change has brought more challenges to the disadvantaged, and COVID-19 has exacerbated hardships for the underprivileged in the country. Korea is a laureate of three Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection and Peace. Our heartfelt thanks, Korea and United Nations World Food Programme, for your caring partnership. May Buddha bless all the faithful people of Laos to live in joy, prosperity and abundance. Researchers determine Earth has double the heat imbalance compared to 14 years ago. Data from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the United States shows that in 2019, the Earth was absorbing twice the amount of heat as in 2005. This figure is calculated from the amount of solar radiation that enters the atmosphere and how much thermal infrared radiation is released. The scientists noted that higher levels of human-caused greenhouse gases in the atmosphere were stopping heat radiation from leaving the planet, with less solar radiation able to be reflected by sea ice and clouds. Thank you, researchers from NASA and NOAA, for your timely study of the dire situation now happening on our heating planet. In the grace of God, may all people quickly switch to a plant-based lifestyle as we change our habits to ensure our ongoing survival. Up next, invention helps musicians with disabilities pursue their dreams. We’ll just thank all the talented tap dancers, who charm us with their fast and rhythmical footwork and sunshiny spirit. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more beneficial news. Vegan: cuz we r originally loving and kind.Good day, lively viewers, it’s Scarlett the vegan baby Skunk. In my family, we get our energy directly from the sun by eating plant foods. And you should too,’cause you’ll soon feel big and strong like us! I’ve got a handy tip for you today. If you accidentally get your carpet wet with water, such as from a busted water line, rain, or even a spilled glass of water, you’ll need to dry your carpet as quickly as possible, as water can rapidly absorb through the pad and subfloor and cause damage and lead to mold. If the water has already soaked through, the carpet should be lifted off, as the padding would take a long time to dry and can produce a foul smell. You can use a fan or dehumidifier to dry the carpet, but make sure they don’t get wet and the cords aren’t lying on damp surfaces. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Thank you for watching, and here’s the weather around the world! Invention aids those with disabilities play music. Twenty-one year-old Alexandra Kerlidou, from Lesbos, Greece, is a harpist with cerebral palsy who was recently able to play her divine-sounding instrument at a concert in Athens simply using her gaze. Thanks to a new technology called Eyeharp, the young musician, who cannot use her hands like a traditional harpist, moves her eyes across a computer screen to instantly translate her inspiration into audible music. The gaze-controlled technology was invented by Zacharias Vamvakousis, a computer scientist who created it to help his friend continue to play music after a motorcycle accident. Utilizing sensors to gauge the musician’s eye movements, it associates the position of the gaze with the appropriate notes and generates the melodies. A standing ovation, Alexandra Kerlidou, on an awesome performance, and truly incredible work, Zacharias Vamvakousis. In Celestial jubilation, may all people find love and happiness in music and art. Certified organic rice initiative in Cambodia taking root. The pioneering wildlife-friendly Ibis Rice project implemented across 14 villages in Preah Vihear province, Cambodia, has been so successful that it has been replicated in three other provinces nearby. Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) Cambodia started this program in 2008 to protect biodiversity in the country’s northern plains, with participating farmers having their rice being sold at 50% more than the market price. WCS Cambodia Community Technical Adviser Phann Sithan commented on the program, “People are not allowed to clear forest land, cut down trees, use any kind of chemical pesticides, [or] hunt or trap wild animals.” The project is greatly aiding conservation work, especially for supporting the endangered giant ibis and the white-shouldered ibis, as well as protecting biodiversity. Way to go, Wildlife Conservation Society Cambodia and participating parties. May the project continue expanding and bringing benefits to Cambodia’s people and environment in the loving care of the Buddha. Prominent professors awarded prestigious mathematics prize. Professor László Lovász from Hungary and Professor Avi Wigderson from Israel were recently jointly awarded the Abel Prize. It was given for their life’s work in discrete mathematics and theoretical computer science which has greatly influenced the evolution of modern computer science. The prize was established by Norway in 2001 to give mathematicians “their own equivalent of a Nobel Prize.” During his acceptance speech, Professor Lovász spoke about a field of mathematics called graph theory that can help humans to understand complex systems such as ecological communities, epidemics and even the brain. In an interview, Professor Wigderson described the great advances that his field of study, computational complexity theory, is bringing to technology and science. Norway is a recipient of Shining World Leadership Awards for Environmental Protection, Humanitarianism, Good Governance and Peace, and a laureate of Shining World Leadership Awards for Animal Protection and Compassion. Congratulations, Professors László Lovász and Avi Wigderson, on your prize, and thank you for your exceptional contributions. In the blessings of the Divine, may humanity move rapidly towards an advanced civilization based on love and respect for all. Majority of New Zealanders want to bring dog companions to work. According to a recent survey of 800 employees by New Zealand’s pet insurance provider PD Insurance, of those companies who have a no-dogs policy at the workplace, 83% of employees with canine companions would prefer to bring their buddy to work, while 77% would be more loyal to their employers, and 30% would willingly take a decrease in pay if dog friends were allowed. More than half of those polled who are currently able to bring their dog companions to work would decline a better job offer if their canine friends were not permitted to join them. Respondents cited many positive effects of dog-friendly workplaces, such as avoiding separation anxiety for canines, increasing team bonding and morale, and calming the work atmosphere. What fascinating findings, PD Insurance! May more workplaces in New Zealand and beyond welcome our loving canine friends, in Divine wisdom. Humor makes life easier. Here is today’s joke entitled “Newly Found Ability.” “I really hoped you’d pass this exam, Chris. What do you have to say for yourself?” “I know I failed the exam, but Dad, I discovered that I have a special ability!” “What ability could that possibly be?” “Psychic ability, Dad!” “What do you mean - psychic ability?” “Well, I knew in advance that I would fail this exam!” ?! And now we have a heartline from Zi-Ping in China: One of our old friends, also an initiate, has two cats. One is a black and white bicolored cat called “Xiao-Bao.” The other one is a tabby called “Xiao-Hu.” In addition, he has a cute Bichon Frise dog called “Guai-Guai.” One time, when they were joyously playing on the roof of the third floor, Xiao-Hu slipped and fell downstairs. Xiao-Bao was terrified and ran to our old friend, biting him while mewing at him. Our friend intuitively felt that there must be something wrong, so he followed Xiao-Bao, who led him to Xiao-Hu. Then, Xiao-Hu was saved. Another time, a similar accident happened to lovely Guai-Guai, and it was Xiao-Hu who saved Guai-Guai. These three little beings really love one another, and they always give a helping hand to each other in times of danger, which is what real good friends should do for each other. These things make us realize their unconditional love. That’s why I love animals. I would like to call on humans not to eat our animal friends anymore. Instead, we should love and protect all animals and living beings. Veganism is the only lifestyle that humans should follow! Zi-Ping from China Good-hearted Zi-Ping, Our appreciation for your heartline. Your touching story is a testimony to the unconditional love animals have for each other and also for us. They are an example to be followed as their love exemplifies the unconditional Love of the Divine. Loving them back just as wholeheartedly, by saving and protecting their lives, is the best thing that humans could do for them. We fervently pray to all Godses that the dream of planetary veganism comes to pass very soon! Your innovative country could become a blessed leader in this loving vegan transformation. May you and illustrious China always enjoy Buddha’s favor, Supreme Master TV team We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartlineIt has been a pleasure to spend time with you on Noteworthy News. May the song of peace and magnanimity be the anthem of our time.

Sorcery Contest, Part 12 of 12

00:21:20

Sorcery Contest, Part 12 of 12

The precepts must be strictly kept. Veganism is very good. We should have love for all beings, otherwise, we would be learning from maya. If we don’t have any compassion for the helpless animals, how can we then tolerate our enemies? No matter what good deeds we do, I’m afraid that our love is not deep enough.I don’t know what it was like in the time of Jesus Christ and Shakyamuni Buddha. Those who harmed them would all go to hell, and for a long time. But for those who harmed me, I haven’t seen them go to hell. They were ignorant, weren’t they? They did it out of ignorance. If they’d known, they wouldn’t have done it. It’s OK for the people who know. We only pity the ones who are ignorant. Like little kids who hit us recklessly, would we hit them back? Little kids who are one, two or three years old. Sometimes they play with us parents. They hit us and pull our beard or our hair, but we wouldn’t hit them back or get angry. Because they’re ignorant. Even if human beings have that kind of vicious intention or action, it is because they have not reached that level of understanding. So how can we blame an ignorant and thoughtless person? We are great gentlemen who know a lot. So we should forgive those people. I certainly will not punish them. But it is not good for them. They have to bear their guilt for a long, long time. And it is rather pitiful for them. They will regret it one day. They will, for sure, very soon. There’s not a single person who would not regret it. As I told you, when I first came to Taiwan (Formosa), there was a lot of slander. Every day we seemed to hear about some reports in the newspapers. Not anymore. No more. It was the same with us Aulacese (Vietnamese), when the Aulacese (Vietnamese) people shared my teachings at first. But not lately, not anymore. That was in the past. Almost every day I received one, two or three slanderous letters, which were so bad, so vicious and so nasty. Not anymore. I don’t know where they disappeared to. People will surely regret it and realize it one day. Because they chant the name of Ching Hai every day, it must have some effect. Yes! It doesn’t matter how you say It. When the doctor gives you medicine, it doesn’t matter if you take it with resentment or with delight, it still has an effect. Like when the doctor gives you an injection, whether you hate it or not, it still has an effect. You can’t help it. It just serves its function. Otherwise, what is the use? It would mean it is ineffective, and biased in some way. I’ve talked about the power of the Buddha, the infinite love and compassion, without discrimination. He doesn’t know if any person chants His name with resentment or delight. Chanting is chanting. Just hearing the Name is enough. There’s no need to differentiate between people who resent it and who do not. That would be too much work. Why would we make our Buddhas so busy? Being so calculating, just like worldly people. I do not keep an account. Chanting with evil intent is also chanting. It doesn’t matter how one chants. One can chant in an intangible way, without feelings or heart, or with resentment, love or respect. It would all be effective. What happens if we touch water accidentally? We’ll get wet! What happens if we touch fire accidentally? It burns! Similarly, if we meet the Buddha or Bodhisattva accidentally, resentful or not, it’s all the same. It’s fun this way! I think it’s fun. So now, I want to tell you that even if we can see the past and the future and many high realms through spiritual practice, those astral beings may still disturb us. Therefore, we have to be careful all the time, recite the Five Holy Names all the time, and protect our inner peace all the time. In any situation, we should know that it is only an illusion. Immediately pray to the inner Buddha for help, pray to God within and the Master inside. Don’t wait until it is too late and then cry. Sometimes that causes a lot of trouble, which may hurt other people. Also, don’t allow others to harm us so badly, as this also harms them. Do you understand what I mean? We just pray all the time, and it will be all right. It won’t do any harm. Even if it is not effective, it won’t hurt. It is better than gossiping. Then our spirit will be at ease. Even people who have a ferocious heart would be affected when chanting the Buddha’s Name, let alone those of us who are cool and calm, kind and virtuous, who are always praying. Of course, it will be more effective. If it is not better, then it would be similar anyway. So don’t wait until the time has passed and the matter is overdue, before praying to Master or reciting the Five Holy Names. Sometimes there are serious consequences. It’s troublesome. It’s not that you cannot be saved. That’s the only method that can protect us. The couple, for example, practiced quite well, they called themselves masters. Masters who could teach people and emit light. OK, I believe that. But despite that, they couldn’t save themselves. When somebody came in suddenly, the impact was so strong. They were often like that. They dared not get close to people. Even disciples were not allowed to be around them. They had to learn everything by heart. Very few could enter their home. OK, I believe the degree of their sensitivity. But I think it is probably because they ate meat. They said that they didn’t drink and could not bear the smell of tobacco smoke, so they dare not go anywhere. But they could bear meat. They could bear it. It didn’t matter what level they were at, if they ate meat, they couldn’t withstand it. They had little capacity for endurance. That is why they dared not touch people, not to mention thousands of people coming to be initiated. Before people even meet you, you’d be finished if they just say your name. So being loving and vegan will reform people a little. That’s why you shouldn’t listen to people outside and be tempted when you see them eat meat while practicing spiritually. The precepts must be strictly kept. Veganism is very good. We should have love for all beings, otherwise, we would be learning from maya. If we don’t have any compassion for the helpless animals, how can we then tolerate our enemies? Our enemies may put up a strong resistance, while animals are helpless, defenseless, and innocent. If we can bear to eat them, I’m afraid that we do not have enough love. No matter what good deeds we do, I’m afraid that our love is not deep enough. Not deep enough to be moved by the animals. I don’t know how you feel since becoming vegan. When I see an ant was accidently stepped on, and he rolls back and forth, or has one leg or some other part broken, it tears my heart out. Sometimes I stay there and watch him for a long time. I cannot bear it, and keep saying to him, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” I really feel great pain in my heart, seeing him struggling between life and death. I cannot even kill him to relieve his pain. Because if I kill him, after he dies, he’ll remain in agony, thinking he is still alive and rolling back and forth there. This is like when people get wounded or have a car accident; after they die, they still think they are covered in blood and their face is smashed. Sometimes they show that face to people. Or if people who drown are not liberated and don’t have a Master to guide them, they think that they are still alive and feel cold all the time. No matter what clothes you give them to wear, they’ll say that they are freezing. It is because our astral body is very sensitive, similar to our physical body, only more sensitive. That’s why we say spiritual practitioners are hundreds and thousands times more sensitive. After we practice spiritually, we become more and more separated from this physical body. Our spirit becomes very much detached. We still have to roll around in this world, but our sensitivity increases hundreds of times. We still have to live in such a coarse place. We are already very sensitive, but still we have to stay here. We’ve become different. Sometimes the more you practice, like if you help with my work, with my lectures or whatever, then later you don’t eat much. Not because you are full. Not because the food is not good. But because your level has risen far above the world, and into the far future. So the food seems rather strange to you. You don’t belong to this world. It is just that we have to endure this place, but our Self is no longer here. Sometimes we have to come and go, in order to deal with the karma of the world. So when we come back, we are under great pressure and suffer a lot. So sometimes the more we practice, the more pressure and pain we feel. Don’t be afraid. That means we are already on a very high level, because we are more sensitive. It is not that the world gives us more pressure. No, no. Sometimes our level is so high, we cannot bear the pressure. We still have to be patient, OK? Be patient, recite the Five Holy Names, and practice more. After a few decades or a few years, we will be gone. It won’t be long. This is your last life. You only have to bear it for the last time, OK? Thank you, thank you for coming for tea. OK, you may go eat now. I am a little bit late once in a while. Will you blame me for it? (No.) Just pay a little bit more for the tour buses. If you don’t have enough money, you can ask us for it, OK? (Hallo, Master.) (Hallo, Master.) (Hallo, Master.) (Hallo, Master.) Are there people who are not coming? Those who didn’t come, please raise your hand. (Hallo, Master.) It’s hotter here, isn’t it? (We can bear it.) Yes, it is bearable. How is your husband? He didn’t come to see me? (Hallo, Master.) Thank you. (Master.) Hey, it’s you. Bye! (Master, You are really beautiful.) I need to make myself look beautiful once in a while. Otherwise, you will think that I became your Master because no one wants me. Otherwise, you will think that you’re the only beautiful ones. OK, bye! (See You, Master.) Where should I walk so it’s fair to everyone? (Hallo, Master.) OK. You can never see enough. Do you know that? Bye-bye, bye-bye. (Hallo, Master.) Everyone, take care. Did anyone translate for him? Does he know Chinese? (He knows Chinese.) Wonderful. There will be an initiation next week. OK?

Buddhist Stories: Cinca the Brahmin Girl, Part 4 of 5

Buddhist Stories: Cinca the Brahmin Girl, Part 4 of 5

A monk, he forgets all his family already, and he goes out to become a monk, then at least his heart is purified. And he walks around lending his beautiful energy to the whole country. He doesn’t have to do anything. So they should treat him with respect, all the monks. Regardless, regardless of what religion. In India, you see, everyone is safe. I mean as far as Hinduism and Buddhism are concerned. And afterward there come other religions after that, and become less so devoted. Influenced from the outside. Before, the Indian people were more pure. But they still do now, in many parts of India. When you go to a farmer… I went to some farm, some time ago, on the road, and met some farmer girl. Immediately she greeted me, “Hari hari, Ram Ram.” Means, “Greetings to You, the God,” something like that. They treat you like God. And they immediately, on their mouth, come out of their lips, always God. Just a rural farmer girl. It's not like a sophisticated master or something. It's very, very ingrained in most of the Indian people. Not all of them of course, but most of them. They still keep this tradition of God devotion. And all the temples, always hear chanting everywhere. Beautiful! They chant all the time in praise of God. No matter what temple, no matter what they believe. Beautiful instruments they play and they sing. Yeah, beautiful. I'm glad India exists. I'm glad. So every year in winter, I repay the kindness of Indian people (Yes.) by giving the wandering monks, (Blankets.) people, blankets and something, (it’s) the least I can do, every winter. The monks, they need blankets, the wandering monks. They are Hindu monks or Buddhist monks, I don’t know, whatever. The wandering monks, they’re really ascetic. They have nothing. Some monks don’t have anything to eat for two weeks or something like that because nobody gave him anything. Never mind. Many humans still don’t know what to do, how to repay the monks’ kindness. Because even if the monk is preaching nothing, even he’s not like a holy monk or not very… Maybe, who knows he’s holy or not?A monk, he forgets all his family already, and he goes out to become a monk, then at least his heart is purified. And he walks around lending his beautiful energy to the whole country. He doesn’t have to do anything. So they should treat him with respect, all the monks. Regardless, regardless of what religion. Regardless of whether or not you think he’s holy or not. It’s the symbol of love, of compassion, of wisdom, of detachment. These are all the qualities that we long to have but don’t. All right. Now, so if you offer something to such a renounced person, then maybe he would lend you some of his virtues. And maybe in the future life you can be a monk - detached. At least in this lifetime, feel more detached, less bound. All right, so… in India, I heard that you should never upset a monk because you don’t know what power he possesses. And by upsetting him, that power in him will repulse it and return it to you without him wanting it. He’s protected. So, just like you spit at the sky and it comes back to you. So you should never upset a monk. Never make him angry, never do anything improper, never disrespect him - a monk, any monk. So OK, like that. And then after that, he went to the Himalayas, adopted the life of an ascetic. “And in the course of time, developed the direct knowledge by the practice of deep meditation.” Enlightened. “Now a certain forester happened to see him there, and reported to the king. Thereupon, the king went to him, exchanged friendly greetings with him, learned what had happened, and offered to bestow his kingdom upon the Great Being.” Wow, wanted to give him the whole kingdom or half at least. “The Great Being, however, declined his offer and admonished him as follows. ‘For my part, I have no desire to rule. But as for you, Majesty, you should keep, unimpaired, the ten royal virtues. Avoid evil deeds and rule your kingdom justly.’ Thereupon, the king arose from his seat in tears and went back to the city. The ten virtues of the royal king are: giving, virtuous conduct, renunciation…” Inside, of course. He cannot go in the forest just like him, but at least inside. “Renunciation, uprightness, gentleness, austerity, non-anger, harmlessness, patience, non-opposition to the will…” Means for the will of the people, means not to rule against the will of the people, being good and gentle to people. I cannot be king. Non-anger, I fail. (So mean.) So mean, huh? So scary, Master. Oh now, don’t make me do that again. All your fault. If I live alone with my dog, would I do that? No. All your fault, it’s all your fault. Right, then. So the king cried and went back to his palace. “On the way there, he asked his ministers, ‘Through whose fault was I separated from one endowed with such uprightness like this?’” Like the monk. “So the minister said to him, ‘Your chief consort was to blame for this, Your Majesty.’” You know, his wife. It's the chief of the concubines. “Thereupon, the king had her taken by the heels, and flung head first down Robbers’ Cliff.” Oh man! He threw her down the cliff, meaning she will die. But when he ordered to throw the prince down, he did not die. The dragon caught him, the fairy took care of him. So now… “And entering his city, from then on, he ruled his kingdom justly. At that time Prince Mahā Paduma was the Great Being, and the fellow-wife of his mother was Ciñcā Mānavikā,” the second wife. End of the story of the past. “When the Buddha had made this matter clear. He said, ‘Monks, in the case of those who have abandoned one thing, the speaking of the truth, who have become confirmed in falsehood, who have rid themselves of the chance of a happy next world, there is no evil deed which way they will not commit.’ So saying, He pronounced the following stanza. ‘The person of false speech — Transgressor of one principle, Rejecter of the other world: There is no evil he cannot do.’” Meaning, if you can tell lies then you can do any other bad deeds. Even though it doesn’t seem very big, the sin. We would think killing is a greater sin than telling lies, but here the Buddha pronounced that if you can tell false… He means telling lies, harmless lie, sometimes is OK. But if you accuse somebody or you blame somebody in such a way like that, you make up a story to defame somebody, slander someone like that, this is a big lie. Then there’s nothing else bad that you could not do. Means if you’re such a person who slanders and tells a lie, fabricates a story like that to harm somebody else, then everything else, however bad, other precepts you will also destroy. Ruin yourself. Understand now? You are so clever. I’m proud of you, very proud. I was thinking there is another story but I don’t know, I will find it tomorrow. Not now anyway. And then we will have a happy time again. Everybody’s happy to be gone now. Keep the chair there. Keep the chair. Anybody else who needs a chair like that, we can arrange in the back. And then if you sit in the back, you don’t disturb anybody. Anyone else needs a chair? No? Yes? No, no? Yes, yes? No? OK, no. All right. What is it you want to show me? You mentioned there was something new? (Did I give this to You the other day?) Ah, you already gave it to me. Oh, this is big brother Sâm, huh? (Yes.) One of my cousins. This is me when I was younger. And my cousin. My cousin, big cousin is here. He’s a soil engineer, and this was me. And some of the others, the nieces and the nephews. I don’t remember them. I just remember him. I never remembered that I took a picture with him, either. First time, first time I saw it. (You have it already? Do You have this one, Master?) I already have it. Not that one, but I have this one. These are my parents, my sister, bigger sister, myself, my grandma. And who is this? (Grandma.) No. I know it’s grandma. Who is this? (Aunt Bốn.) Ah, yeah. It’s my aunt, the one who owned the jewelry shop, gold shop, gold jewelry shop. Gold and jewelry stuff. My grandma. She lived until 105. (Wow!) She was very religious. This was your Master. Your great Master. Big Master, big Guru. It’s my elder sister. She was not born at that time. Younger sister and younger brother. OK, good. All right, that’s it. And what is this? Who wrote these letters? (These are Your letters sent a long time ago. I remembered that, so I brought it with me.) Oh, really! OK, wow, thank you! Oh, wow! Thank you very much. (I read it.) OK. You want to keep it, or for me? For me, thank you, thank you, very nice. Very nice of you. You keep so many things. (This is my grandchild.) Ah, my God! Can you believe she already has a grandchild? Is it a boy? (It’s a girl, Master.) A girl, but how come she looks like a boy? OK. Girl. My grandchild, my granddaughter. She’s so young and already has. (Yes.) In Âu Lạc (Vietnam), her granddaughter is also my granddaughter. They will also call me “Grandma.” Oh, man. Feeling old. (Age of chewing betel nut.) (Everyone is old now.) Feeling old. I did not have this photo with him. I just have this photo alone. (I’ve already made my own copy last time.) Oh, is it so? (And this one I haven’t.) Oh you want to keep it? (Yes.) You want to give it to me? (Yes.) All this? OK, and this one? (Yes.) Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, my sister. You were not in the picture. It’s special. It’s special. (That one is special.) She says it’s special, special. My sister, she’s very sweet. She always says things very nice and positive, loving and kind. She was always very, very loving, sissy to my mother. I never could be like that. She was always very hugging and loving and caressing my mother. Always, “Oh I love her, she’s so nice,” and all that to my mother. I thought, “How come I never did that?” Yeah, I was never… I never did that. I never did anything like that. She was always very, very loving, and clinging to mother and make her feel so good. I said, "My God, she did a better job than I." She’d always come and caress my mother, “Oh, I love her this, I love her that. Oh mother, you’re beautiful, you’re this and that. I love so much, so much.” I never did this kind of thing to Ma and Dad. My God! Good, good girl. And she does that to the dog also, her husband also. Everybody loves her. It would be better if she be a Master and I… More sweet, everybody would love her. Maybe better. I don’t know why God picked me. Sorry you don’t have a better Master, sorry for you. She’s very sweet, very, very sweet. I haven’t seen anybody so sweet like her like that, with mother, with mother at least. I don’t know how sweet she is with him, but… with my mother. I wish I could have been like that. When I met her before, she was always very sweet. She knows how to talk sweetly and positively. Very sweet person. You’re always like that? (Yes, Master.) She’s the best in my family. I’m glad we have one, at least, in the family. (Even at the last moment before he died, he still asked for his son-in-law only…) Yeah, I know. OK. I know. My father, she says, my father loved this brother very much. It’s actually brother-in-law, but he’s just like… He stayed with our family so I call him brother. I don’t think he’s a brother-in-law, I just think he’s a brother. And my father loved him very much. Even the last moment before he died, he looked for him, he called for him. He asked for him. He loved him very much, so he’s like family. I’m glad he had such a son, finally. He always wanted a son. He never had. He had only three of us girls. Every time mother gave birth, disappointed. “How come no boy?” Only girls. All right, good. Now I’m sorry, I was a girl. If I were a boy, maybe better Master, I don’t know. (No.) No? Why not? Men, they deal with stress better. Some hormone arises. What is it they call that? (Testosterone.) Testosterone. Yes. The men, when they are stressed, or they’re angry, or they’re vexed, or they’re excited, or they’re challenged, they produce more of this… Testosterone. Testosterone. Whatever “terone” that is. And that makes them even more energetic, powerful, and they live, they thrive on it. On the contrary, we women, we also produce that if we do similar to men’s job, if we’re stressed, and then it’s bad for us. It’s not compatible to a woman’s body to have that kind of hormone arise within us. So if I were a man, you’d probably have a better Master, no? (No.) Never scold you. Or maybe like my sister, always love, love so much. Does she behave that way with you too, or she is controlling? You don’t dare say it? It’s OK, I understand. I understand. I asked him if she is also sweet like that to him or controls him, he doesn’t dare say anything. I say, “I understood.” Don’t dare to say, so I understood. It’s OK, we keep it… OK, never mind. But you know, if she controls you, that’s normal. We women, very smart. We know what’s the best. OK. It’s good then. They’re good together.
