In today’s news, International Monetary Fund approves US$50 million to help Sierra Leone cope with COVID-19, humans have adversely impacted over half of the world’s rivers, Australian study finds migrants follow sustainable living practices, Lahti, Finland wins prestigious European Green Capital Award, United States woman dedicates life to rescuing animals, BMW-owned car brand makes full switch to leather-free alternative, and cosmetic animal testing banned in Virginia, United States. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) supports Sierra Leone during the pandemic. The IMF has approved funding of US$50.37 million to assist Sierra Leone in meeting its fiscal requirements and critical balance of payments in the wake of pandemic challenges. Although the West African nation has taken decisive actions to contain COVID-19, it has still suffered significant economic setbacks. The contribution will assist government initiatives such as the Quick Action Economic Response Programme, which helps farmers, provides direct cash transfers to households in need, and supports employment in public works. Our gratitude, International Monetary Fund for your generosity and care towards the fine people of Sierra Leone. We pray that Heaven will guide Sierra Leone into an evermore prosperous and secure future. Study examines the impact of modern civilization on the world’s fresh waterways. Researchers from France and China recently completed a 10-year study into the adverse effects of humans on the world’s river and lake systems over the past two hundred years. Published in the journal Science, the data collected from 2,456 river basins revealed that over 53% of them − including the majority of the large rivers in North America and Europe − have been heavily impacted by our activities. This effect encompasses loss of species diversity and habitat destruction. It was estimated that only 14% of the rivers experienced little impact by humans, and those water bodies were usually located in the less developed regions of Australia or Africa. Many thanks, researchers, for your timely examination of the effects of our actions on the precious rivers. In Divine blessings, may we soon restore the natural environment on which our lives depend. Up next, migrants in Australia follow sustainable living practices. We’ll pause for a moment to thank the motor vehicle license clerks, who assist in issuing driving licenses and permits to qualified applicants after they’ve passed the necessary tests. When we return, more thoughtful news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television! Hallo, vibrant viewers, it’s Candy the vegan Rock Ptarmigan! People say my aura is soo bright. Guess why − because I am vegan. Try this Heaven-like diet and your aura will be too... Today, I have a cooking tip for you. Quinoa is a tasty and nutritious grain that can be used in many meals. However, after washing it using a colander or sieve, it’s difficult to get all of the little grains into a pan or bowl. To resolve this issue, you can use a French press coffee maker if you have one. Just pour your quinoa in the press and add some warm water over it. Plunge the quinoa down to the bottom and pour the water out. Then take out the plunger and scoop out the quinoa using a spoon or spatula. For any remaining quinoa left on the tools you’ve just used, you can easily rinse them, saving that rinse water as part of your cooking water. Thank you and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. And thanks for tuning in. Now, the weather around the world! Australian migrants show that they care about the environment. Dr. Sukhmani Khorana and Claudia Sirdah, of Western Sydney University in Australia, conducted a local study in which they interviewed 17 migrants, both women and men, aged 18-40 years. The researchers found that, without even realizing it the new Australians practiced sustainable living in their daily lives such as by repurposing goods, having veggie gardens, and being mindful of water and electricity usage. In addition, five out of the 17 participants were vegan or vegetarian, with four of these individuals following a plant-based diet being second-generation migrants. Dr. Khorana concluded that migrants are interested in helping to protect the environment and should be welcomed more to join the greater society’s environmental movements. Thank you, Dr. Sukhmani Khorana and Claudia Sirdah, for recognizing newcomers’ positive contributions. We hope everyone joins in to create a greener, vegan world, in the love of the Providence. Finnish city named Europe’s Green Capital of 2021. The city of Lahti, Finland is this year’s winner of the prestigious European Green Capital Award from the European Commission. The country’s ninth largest metropolis of 120,000 people garnered the prize for reaching beyond its traditional industrial roots to reinvent itself as a sustainable city. Lahti is currently on track to be carbon neutral in four years, putting it a decade ahead of the rest of the country. Also, the residents can earn rewards through the popular CitiCAP app for their green choices such as using biking or walking as means of transport. Lahti’s eco-conscious citizens, including civic and business leaders, the ice hockey team and symphony orchestra, as well as elderly volunteers, have all played roles in promoting environmental values. Congratulations, Lahti, Finland! May you and your caring inhabitants continue to flourish evermore as you inspire others with your sustainable progress. American woman devotes her life to rescuing animals in need. Adri Rachelle Campbell, age 33, is the founder of Wild Things Sanctuary, a non-profit in the state of Georgia, USA. It is currently home to nearly 200 animals, most of whom were unwanted or abused. Cows, ferrets, mules, horses, pigs, a tegu and many others are all lovingly attended to personally by Adri. Her many expenses to make sure the animals in her care thrive, add up to about US$50,000 a year. Ms. Campbell uses endearing social media posts to gather financial support, while keeping fans updated on the residents’ marvelous lives. She shared, “Knowing that I’m offering them a safe place to heal gives my life a purpose and that reward far outweighs all of the time, money, and sadness running an animal sanctuary can bring.” God bless you, Adri Rachelle Campbell and your darling rescued friends. As humanity grows in kindness, may all beings soon witness paradise on Earth. Coming up, BMW-owned car brand switches to leather-free alternative. The British Mini range of cars, belonging to the iconic German luxury vehicle brand, will only use synthetic leather alternatives in their interior upholstery in all future models for a more timeless design. Speaking of the change, Head of Design Oliver Heilmer shared that Mini will be able to redefine the concept of luxury and deliver high-end products by utilizing recycled materials. Moving forward, BMW has declared that a vegan leather known as Sensatec will be integrated into all of its 5-Series cars. The company is also currently developing an electric SUV. Our appreciation, BMW and Mini, for your wise moves. We agree that animal-free leather is as classy as it is compassionate, and hope more businesses will join the essential vegan way, in Heaven’s mercy. Virginia bans all testing of beauty products on animals. The state of Virginia in the USA has recently banned the testing of cosmetics on animals, as well as the sale of any beauty products previously tested on animals. The Virginia Humane Cosmetics Act was introduced by state legislators The Honorable Jennifer Boysko and The Honorable Kaye Kory, and was signed by Virginia Governor The Honorable Ralph Northam. It will go into effect on January 1, 2022. Sara Amundson, President of the Humane Society Legislative Fund, praised the new law, saying that cosmetic companies are listening to consumer demand and lawmakers are “solidifying these changes into permanent policy.” Virginia is now the fourth state in the US to enact this prohibition. Bravo, Senator Jennifer Boysko, Delegate Kaye Kory, Governor Ralph Northam and Virginia! Your humane actions lead to the sparing of many animal lives and herald a new loving age, in Celestial peace. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Respectfully present the Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion to the Government of Virginia, with high salute and gratitude for protecting the innocent animals. May God bless you and reward you multifold.” Ready for a joke that’ll make you laugh out loud? Here’s a fun one entitled, “Igloo.” Amka was bringing her friend Tanya to her igloo home for a visit. When they arrived, Tanya was puzzled and asked: "So where is your igloo?" "Oh no! I must’ve left the iron on!" And now we have a heartline from Marine in the Republic of Costa Rica: I feel very grateful to Supreme Master Ching Hai for raising the consciousness of the Planet, for Supreme Master TV, and coming to Costa Rica, where a lot of us received initiation, including my daughter, who was initiated when she was a little girl, and because her boyfriend easily understood Master’s message and he became vegan. I help rescue street dogs in my hometown, and I had an experience with one of them who was pregnant, and I called her Princess. On February 15, 2020, one very beautiful puppy was born to Princess. The next day I woke up early, and it was my birthday; I was excited, and I felt this puppy was a gift from God. I called him Jas because part of his white color is like a Jasmine. Due to lack of space, resources, time, and the number of dogs at home, and because we had to make room for more dogs to come, we decided we had to give some of them up for adoption, including Princess. Soon a person contacted us saying that Princess (Star is her real name) was lost about a year ago. Jas, my little puppy, looks a lot like his family. Although we did not know each other, when they came to pick Princess up, we were all happy when we met and shared anecdotes about our dogs. I understand that we are all a tool, a bridge that made possible Princess’s return to her home. I had the opportunity to know her past, which is not always the case with a stray dog. Marine from the Republic of Costa Rica Admirable Marine, We appreciate your lines. Our hearts are touched to hear that the dogs were well cared for through your loving actions, especially Princess (Star) who is now returned safely to her family. We pray to see World Vegan, World Peace coming soon, as we yearn for the day when all beings are treated with kindness and respect under the merciful Grace of Heavens. May you and the outstanding people of Costa Rica remember to find glory in God. In Celestial oneness, Supreme Master TV team P.S. Master has some words for you: “Meritorious and compassionate Marine, my appreciation to you for your caring actions of rescuing canines from the streets. Blissful Heavens are happy seeing considerate helpers like yourself. May God’s magnanimous Grace be with you and the kind-hearted Costa Ricans always.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartlineThank you for your company on Noteworthy News. May eternal faith be your treasured gift from Heaven.

In today’s news, Haiti receives life-saving relief assistance from European Commission, new study shows British COVID-19 variant more lethal than previously understood, photographer captures recurring tree of life pattern appearing in Australian lake, carbon-absorbing skyscraper nearing completion in Taiwan (Formosa), Texas, USA couple gives delivery driver refuge from winter storm, successful Romanian plant-based meat company expands its product range, and Canadian team to monitor critically endangered right whales from space. European Commission (EC) aids Haiti’s vulnerable amid pandemic. The EC is contributing €14 million to Haiti, with an additional €3 million going to other Caribbean nations for humanitarian purposes. Approximately 40% of Haitians, or 4.4 million people, need relief assistance, with COVID-19 exacerbating their circumstances. In particular, the coronavirus has caused food prices to soar, creating deep food insecurity. The funds will address severe food shortages, support migrants and victims of violence, and boost the country’s resilience to natural disasters. The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring. Kudos, European Commission, for your timely support. May the vibrant Haitian people soon overcome these challenges, in Heaven's boundless grace. British coronavirus variant deadlier than previously thought. A new study by researchers at the universities of Exeter and Bristol in the UK examined a COVID variant known as B.1.1.7, often referred to as the “British” or “Kent” strain. It has become the most prevalent type in the UK and spread to 94 countries. The investigation found B.1.1.7 to be between 32 to 104% more deadly than previous dominant coronavirus strains, while a prior study had found it to be just 30-70% more lethal. Other research has found it is 43-90% more contagious as well. The Exeter and Bristol authors have called for the monitoring of new variants as an important part of the public health response. Our appreciation, scientists, for this vital information. May we stop the pandemic now by rapidly adopting the lives-saving vegan diet worldwide in the mercy of the Providence. Up next, photographer captures recurring tree of life pattern appearing in Australian lake. We are going to thank the television producers that oversee various aspects of producing a TV show, including screenwriting, casting, directing, financing and budgeting. We’ll be right back with more splendid news on Supreme Master Television. Hi, joyful friends, I’m Ariana the vegan Arctic Wolf. I have a very good nose because I am vegan, and I can smell that you are vegan too. Wow, isn’t that fabulous? Now you are my buddy. I would like to share a tip on how to maintain the pressure in your car tires. Make sure you check the pressure monthly as all tires lose air. Consistency is key; therefore, you should always use the same pressure gauge for measuring. Also, perform this task first thing in the morning, not after the tires have been sitting out in the sun or you’ve taken your car for a drive. To determine what pressure level is needed, look in the owner’s manual or on the carmaker’s decal, usually located on the driver’s door or jamb, instead of the maximum pressure labeled on the tire. The recommended tire pressure is dependent on your specific vehicle’s weight, not the tread design or tire brand. Thank you for your attention, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Here’s the weather around our beautiful globe. Australian photographer snaps tree of life shape periodically displayed in lake. Since July 2020, amateur photographer Derry Moroney has been taking aerial pictures with a drone of what looks like the tree of life. It recurringly appears in Lake Cakora, located on the state of New South Wales’ north coast. The water’s dark color is caused by the nearby tea trees, which spread their oil into the water during high tide, and the water body’s drainage channels create patterns that resemble a huge tree. The tree’s color and size also change depending on the season and amount of water in the lake. The images have attracted considerable positive sentiments on social media. Way to go, Derry Moroney, for your fantastic photos of Lake Cakora’s beauty and the surrounding areas. In the Blessings of Heaven, may your tree of life photos bring feelings of connection to God to all those who see them. Green Taipei, Taiwan (Formosa) skyscraper nearing completion. The Tao Zhu Yin Yuan is an award-winning vertical forest building designed to be an “anti-global warming and carbon-absorbing ecosystem.” Created by France-headquartered Vincent Callebaut Architectures, the residential tower will feature approximately 23,000 trees, plants and shrubs spread across its 21 floors. The edifice is uniquely modeled after a double helix DNA strand. Featuring a double-skin façade (consisting of an external glazing, a gap, and an inner façade), natural ventilation chimneys, a rainwater recycling mechanism and a solar and wind energy system, the innovative structure is estimated to offset 130 tons of carbon each year. An earthquake protection system was installed below the basement floors for safety. The architects shared, “A building should be a song of the earth and co-exist with the environment.” Congratulations, Vincent Callebaut Architectures and project team members. May creativity and eco-consciousness be at the forefront of all architectural designs. Couple shelter stranded delivery driver in midst of Texas winter storm. Chelsea Timmons was delivering groceries to Nina Richardson and Doug Condon’s home in Austin, Texas, United States, when her car got stuck on their steep, ice-covered driveway. With worsening conditions, taxis and roadside assistance informed Ms. Timmons that the area was unreachable, and she became stranded. Ms. Richardson and Mr. Condon then generously offered Ms. Timmons to stay in their home, where she remained for five nights until the storm passed. Touched to tears, Ms. Timmons later shared the story in a Facebook post and stated, “God truly #Anchored me during this storm and sent me amazing Guardian Angels.” We are so glad you were kept safe and warm, Chelsea Timmons! Our hats off, Nina Richardson and Doug Condon, for your heartwarming example of hospitality. May we always extend a helping hand to our neighbors in times of need, in Celestial radiance. Coming up, successful Romanian plant-based meat company expands its product range. We’ll pause for a moment to thank the billions of neurons in our brain that work together to help us make wise decisions every day and enable us to remember God. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more helpful news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Valuable News for an Exceptional World. Our accolades, Verdino Green Foods, for your flavorful plant-based items! In Divine light, may all swiftly embrace the vegan way of life to give hope for our future. Critically endangered whale species to be monitored using space technology. Canada-based environmental and social service provider Hatfield Consultants is leading a team of researchers joining with the Canadian Space Agency for the “smartWhales” project. It will use satellite data to detect and predict the movements of the rare North Atlantic right whales in Canadian waters to prevent their collisions with ships and entanglement with fishing equipment. Upon gathering information of the right whales’ locations, it is envisioned that regulations such as limiting the speed of vessels in these habitat areas will be enacted. The smartWhales program is receiving US$4.2 million from the Canadian government that is to be shared by five companies involved in the project. Canada is a Shining World Leadership Award for Animal Protection recipient, and a laureate of five Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Caring. Our utmost appreciation, Canadian government and all involved in the smartWhales project. We pray that the right whales flourish in safety and joy, in God’s grandeur. In today’s news, Japan contributes to education for Syrian children, scientists study space hurricane over North Pole, researchers in the United Kingdom identify viruses endemic to human intestines, European Union supports project to upgrade hospitals in Morocco, doctor in United States drives through snowstorm to save premature baby, Dutch company introduces tempeh production system to India, and volunteers refloat stranded whales in New Zealand. UNICEF’s education initiative backed by Japan. The hardships inflicted by 10 years of crisis plus the coronavirus pandemic have drastically diminished learning opportunities for children in Syria. The government of Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Generosity, and Animal Protection laureate, has donated US$7.8 million to support the efforts of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in the country. The funds will be used to provide knowledge and skills that prepare young people for future employment. Additional priorities to be addressed are child protection services as well as ensuring that basic water and sanitation facilities are in place at schools and in communities. We sincerely appreciate your generosity, Japan, and applaud the ongoing commitment of UNICEF to the well-being of the population. In the abundant mercy of Allah, may Syria soon see brighter days with equitable opportunities for all. Scientists prove the existence of plasma storms. In August 2014, a concentration of magnetic field lines and solar wind energy combined to create a swirling auroral spot in Earth’s upper atmosphere above the North Pole. What is now being referred to as a “space hurricane” was detected at the time by satellites and only later uncovered by researchers at Shandong University in China and the University of Reading in England. The teams determined from a 3D computer simulation that the mass of ionized gas had a diameter of more than 1,000 kilometers, with multiple arms that rotated in a counterclockwise direction around a calm center. For almost eight hours it rained electrons into the Earth’s ionosphere, confirming the reality of such phenomena. Remarkable work, university scientists! We are at once awed by the mysteries of the physical universe and inspired to know their source. Up next, researchers in the United Kingdom identify viruses endemic to human intestines. We’ll take a moment to thank the toxicologists who study the safety and biological effects of drugs, chemicals, agents and other substances on living organisms. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more enriching news. Hi, adorable friends! I’m BJ the vegan Barred Eagle-Owl. Here’s some food for thought: People who are truly strong don’t put others down; they lift them up. That’s why we animals regard vegans as the strongest people in the world. Are you one of them? Now, here’s a tip on making a toy for your cat. Take a sock and fill it with catnip. Add a jingle bell and some crumpled paper. Close the end of the sock and secure it with a double-knotted shoelace. Finally, toss it over and let the fun begin! Thank you for tuning in and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world. Now, the global weather. New study explores components of the human bowel ecosystem. Not all viruses are harmful, and many that are endemic to the human gut actually help to regulate the microbial environment. For example, bacteriophages are a type of virus that can infect bacteria and contribute to our health. Recently, scientists at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and the European Bioinformatics Institute in the United Kingdom finished analyzing more than 28,000 gut microbiome samples from around the world. By using a DNA-sequencing method known as metagenomics, they were able to produce a catalog of almost 143,000 unique viral genomes. Their Gut Phage Database will be a valuable resource for future research into the role that bacteriophages play in protecting the lower end of the human digestive system. Well done, all participating researchers! Heaven surely smiles on your diligent service to humanity as more people nourish themselves with plant-based diets. Moroccan health services receive boost from European investment. The financial arm of the European Union, the European Investment Bank (EIB), has been backing key projects in Morocco for several decades. In response to the Moroccan Health Ministry’s recent hospital reform initiative, EIB provided a grant of more than €13 million and a loan worth €70 million. The funds were used to upgrade 16 of the Kingdom’s hospitals with modern infrastructure and equipment. One facility in particular, Hospital of Salé, was chosen to serve as a regional care center for COVID-19 patients. Our heartfelt appreciation, European Union, EIB and Morocco Ministry of Health, for taking steps to improve working conditions for medical personnel and outcomes for the precious patients. May the welcoming Moroccan people enjoy good health and fulfilling lives, in the overflowing love of Allah. Neonatal specialists risk their own safety for newborn. As winter weather was blanketing Texas, USA, with snow and ice, Kimberly Arias began having labor pains. She was only 24 weeks pregnant but gave birth to a tiny daughter at a nearby hospital. The infant, named Zaylynn, weighed just over 600 grams. The facility lacked the life support that premature babies need, so staff members called around for assistance. Finally, they reached Dr. John Loyd at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, 81 kilometers away. He agreed to load his SUV with emergency equipment and drive through the snowstorm with two experienced nurses to help little Zaylynn. Thanks to their expertise, the baby’s condition stabilized and she was transported by helicopter to Dell Children’s the next day. God bless you, Dr. Loyd, nurses and all involved personnel for saving Zaylynn’s life. We pray that Heaven’s choicest blessings will always be with you. Coming up, Dutch company introduces tempeh production system to India. We will take a moment to reflect on the magic of photosynthesis – converting light energy into chemical energy, creating carbohydrates from water and carbon dioxide, and generating oxygen as a byproduct. More gladdening news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Uplifting News for a Caring World. Plant-based foods specialist provides tempeh and jobs. Schouten Europe pioneered Dutch meat alternatives during the 1990s. The firm expanded over the years and delivers to customers in 50 countries. Now, it has launched an innovative production concept in Bangalore, India. Protein-rich tempeh is being produced in a small-scale fermentation unit (SFU) that is monitored for quality control from the Netherlands. This arrangement yields several benefits. The company can use domestic soybeans and help support local farmers. Distribution of the tempeh is limited to a radius of 10 kilometers, with 60% being packaged for sale and the rest going to meals for schoolchildren. Schouten Europe hopes to have at least 100 SFUs in operation by 2025 and will be employing hundreds of Indian workers and will pay them fair wages that will uplift their families. Kudos, Schouten Europe, for your enlightened business model! May more decision-makers consider the impact of their plans on the well-being of the planet. Stranded pilot whales in New Zealand are refloated. A 26-kilometer hook of sand called Farewell Spit has been the site of numerous strandings in New Zealand. Scientists theorize that a shallow seabed somehow interferes with the mammals’ ability to navigate. Recently, a pod of approximately 50 whales beached and needed help. Animal rescue organization Project Jonah, a Shining World Compassion Award recipient, dispatched dozens of volunteers to push the animals back into the water. Sadly, at least 15 of the blackfish died, and 28 of the survivors got stranded a second time. Dedicated personnel from the charity refloated the pilot whales and rocked them gently from side to side, helping to restore their equilibrium. With the arrival of high tide, the pod reunited in the safety of deeper waters, to the relief of everyone. Awesome teamwork, Project Jonah! We pray that your service to marine mammals will inspire others to respect and protect our friends in the sea. Have you heard “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”? How about “Some laughter each day brings happiness your way”? Here’s a joke for you entitled “Wrong Question.” Glen and Amy Nichols decided to change the wallpaper in their apartment but didn’t know how many rolls to buy. Amy said to her husband: “Honey, I heard that the new tenant upstairs just repapered his place, and it’s the same floor plan as ours. Why don’t you ask him how many rolls he bought?” So Glen went upstairs and knocked on the man’s door. When it opened, Glen said: “Hi, I’m Glen Nichols from downstairs. My wife wants me to ask you how many rolls of wallpaper you bought for your apartment.” “16 rolls.” “OK, thanks a lot. Sorry to bother you.” So Glen and Amy bought 16 rolls, repapered their unit and were surprised to find they had six rolls left over. The next time Glen saw the tenant from upstairs, he said: “Hey, neighbor! My wife and I did what you said and bought 16 rolls of wallpaper. But when we finished the job, there were six rolls left over.” “Yeah, I had six extra rolls left too.” And now we have a heartline from Nature Lover in China: Hallo Supreme Master TV saints! The sound and pictures of Supreme Master TV are very beautiful. These beautiful programs must have been made by very high-level saints. A lot of love is constantly emitting from the pictures and sound of the TV broadcast, floating from the screen into the air and into the soil. I hope everyone plays it every day. A few months ago, I saw on the road a small bird that couldn’t fly. When I gently picked him/her up, the bird walked onto my fingers. While I was pondering where would be safe for him/her, the bird suddenly flew up to a tall tree. I then realized that the bird was extraordinary. After my students heard about this, they all said they would definitely help the animals in trouble. Attached is a picture of the bird and a poem. “Don’t judge by appearance While cycling, I saw on the road a bird. Thought he/she might have fallen and could not fly. Holding the bird in my hand, he/she was not scared. Trying to find him/her a safe place in the grass, he/she suddenly flew high.” I believe animals around the world will definitely be treated with love and kindness. The wish of our great Master will definitely come true. May Master be forever in peace, good health, happiness and joy! It just needed your extra benevolent energy to quickly recover. The bird trusted you. We certainly must do all we can to help our animal neighbors when possible. They fill our world with tremendous blessings daily, very humbly and quietly. May the immeasurable kindness of the Buddhas be upon you and diligent China. In today’s news, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai presents Shining World Compassion Award to Iraqi Australian humanitarian, COVID-19 antibodies offer significant protection from the virus, 99-year-young dancer raises funds for health service in United Kingdom, China debuts futuristic solar train station, big-hearted American student creates charity to help homeless children, vegan milk goes nationwide in Mexico, and Poland seeks to provide retirement benefits for police service animals. In Shining World Compassion Award News from Australia … Dr. Munjed Al Muderis is a courageous surgeon who has made great advancements in the field of osseointegration prosthetic limbs. Following his conscience, he fled Baghdad after receiving orders to perform harmful procedures on men who were brought to the hospital or face grave consequences. After finally settling safely in Australia, in 2010 he began his career in orthopedic surgery. His work in osseointegration is world-class, involving the development of revolutionary technology utilized to create prosthetic limbs. Dr. Al Muderis is also actively engaged in various efforts to help refugees. “Over the last six centuries, amputees have been treated by a socket-mounted prosthesis. This technology hasn’t changed over these centuries. It’s very inconvenient, it causes a lot of skin friction and a lot of excoriation, heat rash and blisters, and infection. Other problems are mobility and fit, and the patient that uses this prosthesis usually walks without feeling the ground. So, this revolutionary technology that we came up with is basically by skeletally attaching a titanium, high-tensile strength rod into the residual skeleton, similar to the alignment of what a normal body is like, and then connecting it through a small opening in the skin to a robotic limb. And in upper limbs, we hook up the nerves with myoelectric prosthesis so it becomes mind-controlled. This basically brings amputees as close as possible to being able to walk with normality. The vast majority of amputees feel that they have their life back. There is nothing more exciting than the smile and the tears of joy that I see on the faces of children when they see their parents walk again and being able to interact with them in a more natural way.” For his empowering work, our Most Gracious Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Appreciatively present Dr. Al Muderis with the Shining World Compassion Award plus US$20,000 as a humble token of support, (if allowed,) toward the refugee-foundation under his care.” She further added, “Thank you for giving so many the gift of happiness through independent mobility by your skilled hands and making our world more aware of the plight of asylum seekers and refugees.” Our Association members in Sydney, Australia, joyfully presented the Award letter, crystalline plaque, Master’s financial contribution, as well as Her uplifting publications and DVDs to Dr. Al Muderis. “You’ve travelled worldwide to impart your brilliant skills and technique, enhancing the lives of countless people through the surgeons you teach. Equally important is your work as a respected humanitarian and human rights advocate, saying, ‘I believe that we are all equal, we are all the same, regardless of our religion, background or color.’ Your love has led you on many self-funded missions to heal the body and hearts of traumatized people, rekindling their confidence…” “Supreme Master Ching Hai, thank You very much for this generous donation and for the award. I feel very humbled and very privileged to be chosen to have the award and the recognition; and I can assure You that this will help a lot to pursue the goals of helping people in need and people who cannot afford the treatment, and this will go further to support the humanitarian cause.” Our elated congratulations, Dr. Al Muderis and all involved, in this noble work. May the day come soon when everyone can live in peace and comfort, feeling Heaven’s radiant love. For the full presentation of the Shining World Compassion Award to Dr. Munjed Al Muderis, please tune in to our Shining World Awards program at a later date. Study highlights the protective effects of COVID-19 antibodies. Recent research published in the JAMA Internal Medicine journal has revealed that people who have recovered from the coronavirus and tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies had a much lower risk of reinfection. Conducted by the National Cancer Institute and the companies LabCorp, Quest Diagnostics, Aetion Inc. and HealthVerity, the study evaluated the data of over 3.2 million people from the United States. It was found that of the almost 12% of people who had received a positive result for coronavirus antibodies, only 0.3% of them became reinfected. However, of the people without antibodies, 3%, or ten times more, became infected. The study also noted that the immunity appeared to last for over 90 days. Our appreciation, all researchers involved. In Divine grace, may we protect ourselves and others through careful actions and the cultivation of the compassionate vegan lifestyle. Up next, 99-year-young dancer raises funds for health service in United Kingdom. We’ll just thank the fruit buyers and purchasing agents, who take the fruit from the different farmers for further processing, such as preparing, canning, and drying, or for resale. Today we have another delicious food tip from Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Hi kids! Do you know how the English people eat vegan lamb chops with their meal? They use peppermint vinegar sauce. It’s very simple. You remember how I taught you to dry the peppermint in your refrigerator? Just wrap them in the towel, keep them in there for a few days and then they become dry and crispy. You can crumple them and put them in vinegar and spread it on your vegan lamb, vegan lamb chops. And then you enjoy it with gravy and potatoes, the way the English people eat them, or with noodles. If you have fresh peppermint, of course you can also use that with vinegar to make vinegar peppermint sauce. Or you can buy the finely chopped dried peppermint in the supermarket. Voilà! Simple and nutritious! Nowadays, we have all kinds of vegan stuff. It’s good for your health, good for the environment and saves the planet. So you are heroes! Enjoy! Remember to thank God before and after you eat. God Loves you kids!” We love You, Supreme Master Ching Hai! Many thanks for this tasty suggestion. We’re looking forward to trying it! Compassionate girl raises money to support children experiencing homelessness. Eight-year-old Peyton Anderson from Wisconsin, United States learned about children living without a home from her great-uncle, who also had faced similar circumstances. After discovering that 2.5 million youngsters experience homelessness in the US yearly, Peyton founded the “Eye of a Child” charity. The initiative helps increase awareness of the situation and donates money, toys and more to various shelters. Peyton also sells “Every Child Deserves To Smile” t-shirts and self-made crayon hearts to fund her endeavor. Furthermore, she has gifted US$500 and a new toy for each kid, along with bags containing hygiene products, to Joy House, a women’s shelter. In today’s news, Ethiopian refugees in Sudan receive life-saving relief packages, leading policy institute calls for a plant-sourced food system to halt biodiversity loss, Cambodian villagers exchange plastic waste for rice, New Zealand-manufactured wind machines help crops survive frosty winters, 12-year-old Canadian boy donates essential items for the homeless, Starbucks adds Beyond Meat to Middle East locations, and world’s first platypus sanctuary to be built in Australia. Qatar humanitarian organization assists Ethiopian refugees. Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), a Shining World Compassion Award laureate, has provided food and necessities to 27,000 Ethiopian refugees at the Tunaydbah refugee camp in Gadarif State in Sudan. The displaced people were experiencing shortages ranging from water, food, and shelter, to youth protection and psychosocial support. In response to the dire situation, QRCS has delivered 2,500 food parcels, each weighing 44 kilograms, and 2,000 hygiene kits to 4,500 refugee families with a value of over US$1.8 million. In addition, QRCS has planned to provide an extra 1,000 food parcels and 2,180 relief kits that include kitchenware, blankets, soap, and other necessities, as well as install 300 permanent toilets. Our warm gratitude, Qatar Red Crescent Society, for your timely support to sisters and brothers in need. May peace soon emerge in the progressive nation of Ethiopia, as more people turn to a benevolent way of life, in Allah’s mercy. International policy institute recommends a plant-based food system to curb biodiversity decline. In a paper published by United Kingdom-based leading policy institute Chatham House, also known as the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the authors warn that livestock raising is accelerating the destruction of natural habitats and species, which are “crucial to human and planetary health.” Titled, “Food System Impacts on Biodiversity Loss,” the 75-page report proposed three “levers” to urgently help halt Earth’s rapidly declining biodiversity. First, we should promote more plant-based diets, as animal farming causes a “disproportionate impact” on “biodiversity, land use and the environment.” Second, we must protect more lands from agricultural use and restore them for nature. Third, enable less-intensified, sustainable farming by reducing food demand and moving away from “high impact food” such as red meat and dairy. Notably, all three recommendations are inter-related and dependent on a global “dietary change.” Many thanks, Chatham House and all researchers involved in this valuable study. For human and planetary survival, may all countries take quick and bold actions to bring about a vegan world, in Heaven’s omniscience. Up next, Cambodian villagers participate in a novel environmental clean-up program. We’ll just take a moment to thank car detailers who provide excellent service for cleaning both the interior and exterior of our car, including shampooing, vacuuming, washing, polishing and drying, to make our vehicle look almost new. Please stay tuned for more outstanding news on Supreme Master Television. Good day, elated viewers, I’m Wiley the vegan Wombat. It makes sense that when you eat foods with light and love, like raw fruits and veggies, your aura will naturally be radiant. So, let it shine and go vegan like me! I have a crafty tip for you today. Repurpose your old, unwanted, clean shower curtain by transforming it into an entertaining play mat that your children can enjoy. Let them make roads and cityscapes to play with their toy cars by encouraging them to draw and color on it using dry erase markers. Their creations can easily be wiped off of the plastic liner later and the curtain re-used for another wonderful play day. Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for tuning in, and now for the weather around the globe. Cambodian villagers exchange plastic for rice in environmental protection initiative. Villagers of the floating Kampong Khlaing commune of Siem Reap Province in Cambodia have been gathering plastic waste from the Tonlé Sap Lake that they can exchange for rice. Organized by the Tampaing Snong Russey Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment, the program is part of a conservation project to clean up rivers and lakes in Cambodia. The collected plastic waste is dried and shredded, and the resulting powder is combined with other materials, such as cement or sand, then shaped in a mold. The bricks will be used to construct a school and later to build sidewalks and a courtyard around the school. Fantastic idea, Tampaing Snong Russey Foundation and the Ministry of the Environment, for helping resolve pollution issues plus improving the lives of the villagers. May Buddha’s infinite love and blessings be with the Cambodian people always! Frost-negating wind turbines help crops survive through winter. The Netherlands-based agricultural machinery company Zeelandtrac is partnering with distributor Swift International to sell specialized wind machines to assist farmers in safeguarding their crops in the region. Manufactured by New Zealand company Tow and Blow, the product works by drawing warmer air at a slightly higher altitude into the cold air near the ground to prevent crops from being harmed by frigid temperatures. Durably built, a single turbine can keep crops safe on up to 4.5 hectares, while upgraded models underway are expected to protect seven hectares. The frost machines are currently used on hundreds of farms worldwide, saving valuable plant produce from seasonal frost damage. Way to go, Tow and Blow, Swift International and Zeelandtrac, for aiding farmers in enhancing crop yield! In Heaven’s radiance, may we learn more ways to effectively grow nutritious organic fruits and vegetables to feed a vegan world. Twelve-year-old boy donates essential items for homeless community members. Loghan Wallace from Oromocto, New Brunswick, Canada, assembled and donated 45 care packages containing masks, mittens, hats, toothpaste, feminine products and other essential items to Fredericton Homeless Shelters. A handwritten note saying “You matter!” was also included in each bag. After seeing a homeless man ask for change on a bitterly cold winter day, Loghan wanted to assist the homeless community and asked his peers and teachers at Harold Peterson Middle School to help gather essential items. The parcels were given to individuals at two homeless shelters and those in need on the street. Ever since his loving endeavor went viral on Facebook, thousands of people have made donations to the Fredericton Homeless Shelters. Our heartfelt appreciation, Loghan Wallace, for your selfless deed and compassionate message that provides warmth and support to our vulnerable co-citizens. May your love in action continue to inspire others to do the same, in God’s overflowing goodness. Up next on Noteworthy News, Starbucks brings vegan meat to their menus in the Middle East. We’ll just take a moment to be grateful for the opportunity we have to gain spiritual wisdom through the grace of the enlightened Masters, Saints and Sages. We’ll return with more refreshing news on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Supporting News for a Bountiful World. Starbucks adds Beyond Meat to their menu in Middle East locations. The Starbucks coffee chain recently added two new sandwiches containing vegan Beyond Meat to over 200 of its stores across Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, due to increased demand for meat-free options. It is part of the coffeehouse’s steps to reduce their carbon footprint. Starbucks also offers a range of plant-based milks as they work toward decreasing their use of dairy, which was attributed to be responsible for 21% of their carbon emissions in 2018. Thank you, Starbucks, for your Earth-friendly efforts. In the light of the Divine, may more businesses strive to become carbon neutral and fully vegan for the well-being of all life on our precious planet. Australia to build world’s first platypus refuge. The Taronga Conservation Society and the New South Wales government of Australia have announced the development of a first of its kind platypus sanctuary to be completed in 2022. Prompted by the 2019-2020 Australian bushfires that caused an estimated three billion animal fatalities, the sanctuary will be used for rescue, rehabilitation and research to prevent the precious species from extinction. The dedicated facility made of ponds and burrows will be able to house up to 65 of the semiaquatic mammals. New South Wales is a recipient of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Protection; as well as a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Caring laureate. Our gratefulness, Taronga Conservation Society and New South Wales government, for all your work in protecting the iconic platypuses. May humanity quickly adopt the climate-saving vegan diet, so that our wildlife co-inhabitants can stay safe and live peacefully in their natural environments. Please sit back and relax with the joke of the day called, “Pregnancy’s Wonder.” When Mary was pregnant, her five-year-old daughter, Lilly, was utterly amazed and a little bit disbelieving that her sister was growing in her mom’s tummy. So one day when the baby was especially active, she asked Lilly to place her tiny hands on her tummy to feel the baby kick. “But I don’t feel the baby moving now, Mom!”“Oh, Lilly, she must have decided to take a nap.”“A nap? You mean there’s a bed in there too?”And now we have a heartline from Tu Po in the United States: Hi Master, My name is Tu Po. I’m 5 years old, and I’m vegan to help save animals and the world. I meditate every Sunday morning with Master, Mommy and Daddy for World Vegan because I love animals and want the world to be vegan. I also help Mommy and Daddy at Loving Hut every day. Master, can You give me a UFO to fly to other planets to play with other beings on those planets? Thank You, Master. I love You. Love, Tu Po from the United States P.S. Mommy and Daddy love You too. Caring Tu Po, Supreme Master Ching Hai has a message for you: “Pure little Tu Po, what a wonderful picture your words paint, and I wish all children may know the sentiments you so beautifully express. In today’s news, European Union provides financial assistance to Yemenis in crisis, highly contagious COVID-19 variant raises concerns of reinfection in those who previously contracted the virus, new US electric vehicle will feature hands-free driving, Taiwanese (Formosan) municipality looks to expand its ocean cleaning divers’ team, Egypt takes stronger steps to outlaw female genital mutilation, United States vegan couple who overcame challenges opens plant-based soul food restaurant, and hope rises for saving albatross species after new chick hatches on New Zealand island. European Union supports vulnerable people in Yemen. The EU will contribute €95 million as part of a pledging event for Yemen, sponsored by the governments of Sweden and Switzerland as well as the United Nations. The new EU funding will provide urgent humanitarian aid including food, nutrition, healthcare, financial assistance, water and sanitation, education and other vital support to conflict-affected and vulnerable communities. Since 2015, the EU has donated €981 million to assist Yemen. Our sincere gratitude, European Union, for your benevolent commitment to the kind people of Yemen. May they soon have lasting peace and stability, in Allah’s abounding mercy. Highly contagious COVID-19 variant poses danger of reinfection. A recently identified coronavirus variant known as P1 could re-infect up to 61 percent of people who were previously ill with the virus. A study was conducted by researchers at Brazil’s University of São Paulo together with colleagues at the Imperial College London and the University of Oxford in the UK. The research focused on the city of Manaus in the state of Amazonas, Brazil where the P1 variant first emerged. The region suffered very high infection rates last year and then endured a second wave of the virus, even in those who had already recovered. Scientists believe that the reinfection could have been caused by the P1 lineage. P1’s unique outer spike proteins make it more binding to human cells, thus it is estimated to be up to 2.2 times more transmissible than other forms of COVID-19. Our appreciation, researchers, for this important information. May Heaven keep us on course to recovery from the pandemic as we support each other in wearing masks, keeping social distancing, and choosing plant-based living. Up next on Noteworthy News, new US electric vehicle will feature hands-free driving. We will pause for a moment to thank the emergency preparedness coordinators, who set up plans and train personnel to respond to natural disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes, or other emergencies. Heaven on Earth is as close as your next vegan meal, because no animals will suffer and you will be blessed from above for your peaceful loving choice!! Here is a health tip for you. Drinking warm water can have beneficial effects including preventing premature aging and eliminating toxins while restoring skin cells to increase elasticity. Take advantage of this easy remedy by making it a routine to drink warm water in the morning, either plain or with lemon. After you boil the water, allow it to cool for several minutes before drinking. If you take medicine, be sure to consult your prescribing physician whether it’s okay to take it with warm water as the medicine’s efficacy may be affected in some cases. Thank you for your attention. And love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the global weather. Chevrolet unveils new electric vehicle with hands-free driving aid. In summer 2021, the American car manufacturer will begin selling the new Bolt Electric Utility Vehicle, which is 15 centimeters longer than the current Bolt EV model, and comes with the option of a hands-free driving system made by its parent company General Motors. Using a GPS system, camera and sensors, the Super Cruise can steer the car within a highway lane, on over 322,000 kilometers of 3D-mapped US and Canadian roads. While the driver can relax without holding the steering wheel, the Super Cruise system also has facial recognition to make sure that he/she is still constantly watching the road. In addition, it gives notice ahead of intersections or other situations where the driver needs to take over. Cool news, Chevrolet, on your new electric vehicle with a hands-free option! We look forward to a green and high-tech future after our world becomes vegan and thus more stabilized, in Divine grace. Taiwanese (Formosan) municipality seeks to expand its ocean cleaning divers’ team. The Taoyuan Office of Coast Administration Construction in northwestern Taiwan, also known as Formosa, is seeking part-time volunteers to join a team of 133 divers who are helping to clean the underwater areas off the coast of the municipality. Office Director and the head of the clean-up operation, Lin Li-chang, said that the team of volunteer divers, which has grown nearly seven times since it was established in 2019, extracted over 90 kilograms of trash from the Guanxin Algal Reefs Wildlife Conservation Area last year. The team also analyzes the litter and sadly discovered that fishing nets made up most of the debris on local coral reefs. This information prompted the Taoyuan city government to launch a buy-back program for fishing nets to prevent them from ending up in oceans. Thank you, Taoyuan government and the selfless volunteers, for helping to keep our oceans clean! In Buddha’s love, may everyone make a conscious effort to maintain a safe and flourishing world. Egypt strengthens law prohibiting female genital mutilation (FGM). The Egyptian cabinet has approved a recent amendment to an already existing law prohibiting FGM that would increase incarceration time to up to 20 years for those found guilty of the offense. In addition, medical personnel taking part in this cruel procedure will not be allowed to work at their profession for up to five years. Individuals requesting FGM will also face jail time. According to the World Health Organization, short-term risks of FGM include severe pain, hemorrhaging, shock and death, while long-term risks include chronic infections, difficult childbirth, mental health problems, and more. The amendment is yet to meet final approval. Egypt is a laureate of Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace and Earth Conservation. Thank you, the Egyptian government, for this very important humane measure. May it soon be approved in Egypt and beyond, for the protection of innocent lives, in Allah’s compassion. Coming up, vegan couple who overcame challenges opens plant-based soul food restaurant. We will take a moment to appreciate the inventors of cooking appliances like air fryers, that reduce cooking time and use much less oil than deep fryers while producing the same effect. We’ll be right back with more brightening news here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Responsible News for a Kinder World. Vegan couple opens plant-based soul food restaurant in United States during the pandemic. Bryon and Natasha Dockett from Philadelphia overcame many challenges, including at one time homelessness, and succeeded in realizing their dream of opening an all-vegan, Southern American style comfort food restaurant. UnSoul Food opened in South Philadelphia on January 20th, 2021. Though the Docketts were not eligible for government grants given to help small businesses during the pandemic, their customers entered them in the Discover Eat It Forward Sweepstakes, in which deserving restaurants would receive a total of US$5 million. Through positive customer reviews, UnSoul Food was chosen to be one of the recipients and received US$25,000. Speaking of the welcomed support, Mr. Dockett said, “I am forever grateful that our customers pulled off a surprise like that.” Congratulations, Bryon and Natasha Dockett, on your much loved restaurant and on overcoming life’s adversities. May your success continue as you inspire many others to follow the virtuous vegan way of life. God bless you. Rare albatross hatches on a remote New Zealand island. Conservationists are hopeful that a new colony of the nearly extinct Antipodean albatross can start to thrive on the Chatham Islands in the Pacific Ocean, after a chick has successfully hatched there for the first time in seven years. The species currently has just 3,000 breeding pairs, who are each able to give birth to only one chick every two years. Since 2005, there has been a tragic 60 percent decline in the species, mainly due to the fishing industry. Therefore, New Zealand’s Department of Conservation is tracking 68 albatrosses, including the new chick, to help protect the remaining population, with funding from the marine conservation charity Live Ocean. New Zealand is a recipient of Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Peace, and a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Climate-Change Mitigation, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Earth Conservation, Earth Protection, Earth Guardian, and Earth Restoration. We are joyful to hear of this positive news, and many thanks to New Zealand’s Department of Conservation and Live Ocean. May all the precious beings on this planet soon live in peace and abundance, under the Divine’s gentle care. Here is a quick massage for your belly – a joke entitled, “Meeting on the Train.” But the instruction says you must laugh to feel the effect. Two men were sitting on a train. One was about 25, and the other was about 50. The younger man asked: “Could you please tell me what time it is, sir?” The older man kept silent. When the train arrived, the older man said: “It is half past six.” “Why didn’t you tell me when I asked?” “If I told you the time, you would thank me. Then, I would ask you where you were going. You would tell me that you don’t know anyone in this town. I would invite you to my house. Then, you would see my daughter, fall in love with her, and want to marry her.” “?! So what if that happened?” “Why would I want a son-in-law that doesn’t have a watch?” And now we have a heartline from Hsiao-Hung in Taiwan, also known as Formosa: An ex-colleague of mine with whom I had lost touch for years suddenly contacted me through other friends, inquiring about the vegan diet and Master’s teachings. I gave him the links to Supreme Master TV and SMCHbooks.com so that it would be convenient for him to read Master’s teachings. Then I noticed that SMCHbooks.com has a brand-new look that is more refreshing, appealing, and convenient for visitors to browse. Of course, it is also because of Master’s magnetic energy. After some time, he made it a point to tell me that he really liked watching Supreme Master TV and reading Master’s teachings on the Internet. It’s an opportunity for him to know more about Master’s teachings. Besides being able to enjoy the 24-hours a day high-quality programs on Supreme Master TV, he could also download Master’s publications free of charge. He was overjoyed! After watching Supreme Master TV and reading several electronic books, he felt that his thoughts and views on things had become very positive. For things that used to bother him, he can now quickly think it through and come up with adequate solutions. Besides, he felt that he seemed to have better luck. (He looked so excited as if he had won a lotto. Ha-ha-ha!) Now, even when he is not watching Supreme Master TV, he still keeps it on all the time. (I told him that I always kept Supreme Master TV playing, and he followed my advice.) He said sometimes he merely glanced at Supreme Master TV casually, and then an answer or solution would come up to a problem that was troubling him in his mind. He said it never failed to work, as if Supreme Master TV is a tool for him to solve problems. He said that he had also visited many related links and told me excitedly that he could watch and download Master’s videos free of charge at Edenrules.com too. I told him that’s right, and it is all due to Master’s great Compassion and Love towards all sentient beings, and all Her teachings are easy to understand. I told him that Master has instructed that all Her teachings can be watched online and downloaded totally free of charge because She wants Her teachings to benefit more people in all walks of life. He felt, “How can Master be so good?”, and that he was one of those who benefited completely from Master’s teachings. In the past, he had not understood why people should keep a vegan diet. Now, through studying Master’s teachings and watching Supreme Master TV, he had learned more about the animals and also understood more why we need to keep a vegan diet. He told me that from the day he got in touch with me until now, he had become a vegan, not eating even eggs or dairy products. He felt that he had more energy, could think much more clearly, and even became cleverer. He also mentioned that Master is very concerned about the pandemic and has taught fellow initiates on Supreme Master TV how to avoid unnecessary contact and protect themselves from being infected when visiting public places. He said Master makes people feel so warm and much loved, and he also wanted to follow Master. I gave him the information on the prerequisites for initiation so that he could have a better understanding of what he needs to do to get initiation. I am so happy to hear such positive news and to share it with everyone. Thank You, Master, and all the working teams for working so hard in silence, so that people can feel the love and blessing and benefit greatly in all aspects of their lives. Hsiao-Hung from Taiwan (Formosa) Benevolent Hsiao-Hung, Thank you for your wonderful feedback on the far-reaching, positive effects of Supreme Master Television. Master addresses how to manage so many areas of life, truly uplifting and encouraging viewers to make enlightened changes and Be Vegan, Make Peace. May Heavenly blessings be upon you, your dear colleague, and inspiring Taiwan (Formosa), Supreme Master TV team P.S. Master replied: “Capable Hsiao-Hung, it is the noblest of deeds to help others find their spiritual path and discover why we are incarnated here on Earth. I am happy that you are sharing all you have learned, especially about being vegan, which is so very important for everyone on this planet. Well done! Much Love, and may the Divine be forever with you, and the neighborly Taiwanese (Formosan) people.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. In today’s news, Russia provides vital food aid to Tajikistan, two new studies show that ice-melt is occurring much faster than previous estimates, Japanese researchers find double-masking does not significantly increase effectiveness of protection, Qatar celebrates tree-planting campaign milestone, Australian-based scientist invents “green ceramics,” vegan superfood for dogs released in the United Kingdom, and recent United States survey shows animal companions help people through the pandemic.Russia supplies food assistance to Tajikistan schoolchildren and their families. The Government of Russia contributed US$1 million to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to supply 1,200 tons of fortified wheat flour and 50 tons of vegetable oil to approximately 22,000 vulnerable households in the Khatlon Region of Tajikistan. The food aid is an expansion of the already existing School Feeding Programme, which provides nutritious meals to 600,000 students across 52 rural districts of the country. Since 2005, the Government of Russia has contributed a total of US$ 83.5 million for food relief in Tajikistan. Russia is a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, a Shining World Generosity Leadership Award, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Wildlife-Protection. Our gratitude, Russia, for your generosity and loving care of Tajikistan. Thank you also World Food Programme! May the fine people of Tajikistan flourish in Heaven’s radiance as we embrace an era of kindness. Global ice melt from climate change poses unprecedented risk. Two new studies show that the Earth’s ice is melting much more rapidly than indicated by previous estimates. The first study, funded by the United Kingdom Natural Environment Research Council and led by the University of Leeds in the UK, calculated that the planet’s total ice loss has increased from 0.8 trillion metric tons annually in the 1990s to 1.3 trillion metric tons per year by 2017, an over 60% increase. The second study, which was backed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States, focused on Greenland. It showed that warming ocean waters are melting specific glaciers more quickly than previously understood, with 74 of them in deep fjords responsible for almost half of Greenland’s ice loss between 1992 and 2017. This increased melting poses heretofore uncalculated risks to sea levels rising and its damaging global impact. Thank you, United Kingdom Natural Environment Research Council, University of Leeds, NASA and all participating scientists, for this significant information. Our sincere prayers that we humans will respond to the scientific evidence and adopt all measures to save our precious planet, especially adopting the benevolent vegan lifestyle, in God’s mercy. Up next, Japanese researchers find double-masking does not significantly increase effectiveness of protection. We are just going to thank the operators that carefully run trams, also known as streetcars, trolleys and light rails, so as to transport passengers safely to their destinations in busy cities, at airports between terminals, or at amusement parks. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more meaningful news. Hallo, brilliant viewers, I am Oinky the vegan Piglet! Did you know that photosynthesis in plants uses energy from the sun to create carbohydrates and protein? That means we can easily get our daily nutrition directly from eating plants. Just try it and feel the difference! Today, I have a tip on how to stylishly showcase your children’s artwork. You will need pant hangers for this project, which you might be able to find at your local thrift store. Use stencils or stickers to personalize the hangers with your child’s name or a significant date. You can also paint your hangers with a color you desire and allow it to dry. Next, fasten your child’s artwork to the hanger using the hanger clips and hang it gallery style on picture hooks around your home for all to see. Thank you for watching, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Here’s the weather around the world! Japanese researchers find double-masking does not significantly increase effectiveness of protection. Dr. Makoto Tsubokura and team from Kobe University created a model using the Fugaku supercomputer at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science in Japan to determine how effective various masks were at trapping small droplets during coughing. The simulation revealed that a properly fitted, nonwoven medical mask trapped 85% of the droplets, whereas correct double masking stopped only slightly more at 89% of particles. A loosely worn medical mask only trapped 69% of the particles. Dr. Tsubokura noted that an all-around approach comprising of a well-fitted nonwoven, single face mask, social distancing, hand washing and ventilation, is necessary to prevent transmission of airborne diseases such as COVID-19 and seasonal influenza. Our earnest appreciation, Dr. Makoto Tsubokura and co-researchers involved, for this important study. In Divine guidance, may we continue to take necessary precautions to safeguard one another during this challenging time. Qatar celebrates significant milestone in tree-planting campaign. As part of the ‘Plant Million Trees’ initiative, 300,000 trees have already been planted in Qatar’s capital city of Doha. Launched by the Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places, and the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, the campaign’s goal is to improve the country’s environmental sustainability and development as well as create a better future for the younger generations. The celebration ceremony of the achievement included the display of murals created by 11 artists, and tree-planting activities by children at the Post Office Plaza in Doha. Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Qatar Museums, Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, joined the event. Qatar is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace and Compassion laureate. Our accolades, Qatar, and wishing continued success of your eco-endeavor. May we all halt deforestation and allow our Earth’s beautiful flora to regenerate across the world by turning to the lives-saving vegan diet, in Allah’s infinite blessing! Australia-based inventor transforms waste into environmentally friendly ceramics.Professor Veena Sahajwalla, founding Director of the Centre for Sustainable Materials Research & Technology at the University of New South Wales, Australia, recently unveiled her team’s latest invention - a “micro factory” that produces “green ceramics” from old clothes and glass bottles. As a pioneer in the high temperature transformation of waste, Professor Sahajwalla is known internationally as the inventor of “green steel,” which involves the extraction of carbon from old tires to replace coal and coke in steelmaking. Since its development 20 years ago, this revolutionary technology has enabled millions of waste tires to be recycled. Professor Sahajwalla, who also heads the governmental agency Australian Research Council Industrial Transformation Research Hub, envisions a “zero waste economy” in Australia, as she rolls out her “micro factory” model to local communities. Well done and our grateful applause, Professor Veena Sahajwalla and team, for your ingenious work. May we create more such remarkable innovations to preserve our delicate planetary home, in God’s brilliance. Coming up, vegan superfood for dogs released in the United Kingdom. We’ll pause for a moment to learn about the mystery play of Elche, a UNESCO-recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, enacted annually in Valencia, Spain to honor the memory of the Blessed Virgin Mary since the mid-fifteenth century. A recent survey by Kinship company in the United States has revealed the huge importance of our animal friends to our well-being, with 71% of the respondents saying they could not have survived the pandemic without their non-human family members. Chuckle, guffaw and laugh out loud with the joke of the day called “Emergency Number.” The elevator in Kim’s building malfunctioned one day, leaving her and several others stranded inside. Seeing a sign that listed two emergency phone numbers, Kim dialed the first and explained their situation. After what seemed to be a very long silence, the voice on the other end said: “I don’t know what you expect me to do for you. I’m a psychologist.”“A psychologist? Three Earth-sized planets have been detected on a trajectory around a young star, named TOI 451, approximately 400 light-years away in the Eridanus constellation. The TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) project, from the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), has disclosed that the star is considerably younger and 12 percent smaller in size compared to our own sun. It has 95 percent of our sun’s mass and radiates two-thirds the energy. The three hot exoplanets have a temperature scope of 450 degrees to 1,200 degrees Celsius, orbiting much closer to their sun than Mercury’s distance to our own central star. Scientists hope that their findings could shed light on the origin and evolution of planetary atmospheres. Thank you, NASA, for this fascinating information. In Celestial wonder, may we always be curious to learn more about our amazing, vast universe. Up next, Mexican capital introduces new aerial public transport system. Give it a try and see for yourself. Here is a good tip to help you change the oil in your outdoor machines like lawnmowers and snowblowers. You can make this process easier and cleaner by doing the following. Cut a section off of an empty cereal box and shape it into a trough. Next, tilt the machine over and use the trough to direct the oil into the drain pan. The shiny coating on the cereal box will prevent the oil from absorbing through. Big love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants! And thank you for tuning in. Now the weather around our beautiful globe. Researchers from the Royal Horticultural Society and the University of Reading in the United Kingdom have identified a plant that excels at soaking up vehicle exhaust pollution from the air. It was revealed that the dense and hairy leaves of the cotoneaster franchetii could absorb 20% more air pollution than other kinds of shrubs, when placed in a high-traffic area. In just seven days, a one-meter cotoneaster hedge was able to take in as much pollution as a car lets out during a more than 800-kilometer ride. Wow, we’re so grateful for this purifying miracle plant! Way to go, researchers, on your fascinating study. In the support of the Providence, may our planet someday be filled only with fresh air and the loving vibrations from Nature. Brave girl rescues her mother from house fire in United States. Now you try! I have a nutritious tip to share with you! A hard-shell or crispy taco is a crisp-fried corn tortilla with a delicious filling inside like beans. Instead of putting a vegan filling inside a hard taco shell, use lettuce to replace the taco shell ! Lettuce is not only a healthier option, but it’s also better for holding your filling and you won’t have to worry about taco shells breaking apart and the contents falling out. Thank you for your attention and love you a lot for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the worldwide weather. Green skyscraper “Tower C” in China features air-purifying gardens. United Kingdom-headquartered Zaha Hadid Architects was chosen as the winner of a competition to design and build Tower C within the Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base, a site that will be an important business and financial center in Shenzhen, China. Aquaponic gardens on all the structure’s terraced levels will biologically filter contamination from the local environment and low volatile organic compound materials will be installed to minimize indoor pollutants. Furthermore, the building will also incorporate water-collection and recycling systems and photovoltaics to harvest solar energy. The twin tower design creates an almost 400-meter tall multi-dimensional vertical city. It will be home to corporate headquarters, accommodating 300,000 employees daily. Congratulations, Zaha Hadid Architects for creating this winning design with eco-features. May environmental-friendly architecture become the norm as we move towards a glorious green future in Divine splendor. Video of baby camel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates highlights plastic litter’s dangers. A camera set up by Winston Cowie, Manager of Marine Policy for the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi, captured an upsetting scene of a hungry camel chewing on a plastic bag. Luckily, the calf quickly realizes it is not food and continues walking with the herd. Many innocent animals are not so lucky and end up digesting plastic, possibly leading to their death. The clip is a reminder of the enormous negative impact plastic waste has on the planet and its inhabitants. A 2018 United Nations Environment Programme report revealed that in 2015, approximately 400 million metric tons of plastic was produced globally, and 36% of that, 144 million metric tons, was single-use packaging. Thank you, Winston Cowie, for making the public more aware of plastic waste’s hazards. May all countries soon ban single-use plastics and create a cleaner future in Heaven’s light. Modern-day saint creates free books for blind youth. Debra Bonde is the American founder and director of Seedlings Braille Books For Children (Seedlings), a non-profit she started in 1984 when she realized how few braille books were available for blind children. According to the National Federation of the Blind, there are 1.3 million legally blind people in the United States, and fewer than 10% of them are braille readers. In 1985, Ms. Bonde printed 221 braille books, selling them each for the cost of the paper. Her entity has produced over 600,000 braille books that have been distributed in over 75 countries. Seedlings prints almost 30,000 books and articles annually, half of which are donated and the rest sold for half the production cost. Blind youth worldwide surely extend their heartfelt gratitude to you, Debra Bonde. May your caring generosity be forever supported with the Grace of the Providence. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Lovingly present the Shining World Compassion Award to Debra Bonde of Seedlings Braille Books For Children, plus a US$10,000 humble contribution to further your mission of bringing the joys of reading to youth who are blind, with praise and earnest appreciation for all the lives you touch. May God bless you and all involved always.” Coming up, test by Dutch men’s health magazine staff shows vegan diet tops for muscle gain. We are going to pause for a moment to be grateful for the unique gift of language that allows us to express our ideas, thoughts, and feelings to other persons. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more assuring news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Noble News for a Thriving World. Experiment by Dutch men’s health magazine staff demonstrates vegan diet best for muscle gain. Two employees from “Men’s Health Netherlands” tested the vegan diet versus a meat-based one for gaining muscle, with the results favoring the vegan way. Mart de Jong consumed plant-based food only, while going to the gym five times per week with a personal trainer for 12 weeks. He managed to gain 4 kilograms of muscle, and his cholesterol went down. His colleague, Martyn de Jong, did the same, but included animal products in his diet. Martyn gained less muscle, at 3.7 kilograms, and also gained 800 grams of fat. Additionally, his blood sugar levels were unhealthy and he did not feel well. Kudos, Mart and Martyn de Jong, for helping to highlight the remarkable muscle-building qualities of the vegan diet. May your revealing test help others to realize the many benefits of plant-based food. Kind canine honored for her exemplary service to hospital staff. During a farewell party held at Rose Medical Center in Denver, United States, Wynn, a two-year-old in-training service dog, was honored for her wonderful contributions. The caring canine provided comforting companionship to the hospital’s emergency room staff during the most challenging moments of the pandemic last year. As a future service dog with the nonprofit Canine Companions for Independence, Wynn has been raised for the last 2 years by Dr. Susan Ryan, an emergency physician at the hospital. Wynn will continue her training as a service canine, with her exact field yet to be determined. Our genuine praise to heroic Wynn and the medical staff for showing us the canine-human relationship is simply magical. May all animals be honored and respected for their innate goodness in the love of the Providence. They say cheerfulness is like sunshine for your mind, so let’s lighten up with a joke of the day entitled “Through the Mist.” There was a heavy mist on a dark night. To help keep on the road while driving, Nina carefully watched the tail lights of the car in front of her. The front car suddenly stopped and Nina bumped into it. She then got out of her car and ran to speak to the driver: “Hey, Mister! Why did you stop so suddenly?”“Madam, I just drove into my garage!” ?! In today’s news, European Union provides humanitarian aid to communities in Bangladesh and Myanmar, researchers from Boston University, United States, discover that Moon has a comet-like tail, actor with cochlear implant makes debut on Australian television, Hungarian tech company manufactures sustainable building materials, female athlete’s perseverance wins recognition in India, British company introduces vegan version of popular malted beverage mix, and birth of white American bison heralds peace and prosperity. Refugees in southern Asia receive vital support. The European Commission announced €39 million in humanitarian aid for displaced Rohingya in Myanmar and Bangladesh. Their already challenging circumstances have been made worse by the COVID-19 pandemic. The emergency funds will go to United Nations agencies and other nongovernmental organizations entrusted with delivering food, water and shelter as well as essential health and sanitation services to those most in need. Efforts will also be made to strengthen education and protection for the at-risk communities. Our sincere gratitude, European Union, for your stalwart commitment to assisting vulnerable people. May the determined Rohingya be blessed with sustenance and security, in Allah’s boundless love. Researchers discover the moon has a tail. A study recently published by astrophysicists from the Center for Space Physics at Boston University in the United States has revealed that the Earth’s moon has a comet-like tail that is comprised of millions of sodium atoms. The atoms are released from the lunar surface when ultraviolet photons, the solar wind and meteoroids impact the surface. It was noted that during a new moon, the tail comes into contact with Earth’s gravity making a “small diffuse spot of light” that appears opposite of the sun and is invisible to the human eye. It can be detected using sensitive cameras that can see the orange light emitted from the sodium atoms. Scientists found a correlation between the brightness of the spot and the rate of sporadic meteor showers over Earth, possibly indicating the Moon was affected by the meteors as well, causing the release of more sodium atoms. Such a fascinating report, Boston University scientists. May the mysteries of the universe continue to be revealed, as we wonder in the magnificence of all, in Celestial glory. Up next, actor with cochlear implant makes debut on Australian television. We’ll take a moment to thank the cellphone warehouse workers who test devices to ensure they are working properly, package them into boxes and prepare shipments to customers. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more inspiring news. Hi there! I’m Jennipurr, the cool vegan Cat. My friends love my easy-going vibe, and it’s all because I’m vegan. Try it yourself and start attracting more attention! Today, we are happy to share a tip from Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai. If you want to dry your dogs or cats, better not use those towels for cleaning, they will dry out the natural protective oil of their fur and their skin! Use normal cotton towels that you use for yourself. They will thank you for that, and remember they love you more than anything in the world. So treat them well. God Loves you kids! Thanks so much for this caring advice for our precious animal friends, Supreme Master Ching Hai. We love You! Lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet. For all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. And thank you for watching. Now, the weather around the world. Role on Australian television fulfills disabled actor’s dream. Nathan Borg lost his hearing as a baby and received a cochlear implant when he was two years old. The technology was invented by Australian Professor Graeme Clark 40 years ago and has helped more than 600,000 individuals to hear again. Mr. Borg felt that if he could be a TV actor, it would add inclusion to the medium and open doors for other aspiring talents with cochlear implants. The studio that produces the soap opera “Neighbours” agreed to give him an audition, and he got the job. The performer commented, “I really want to see more diversity on our TV screens, and I really want to push for people with disabilities to be employed.” Congratulations, Nathan Borg, on your unprecedented achievement, and Heaven bless Professor Clark for such a life-changing invention. May you both inspire others to pursue their goals and never give up. Photovoltaic pavement tiles harvest energy at ground level. Platio is a Hungarian tech company that manufactures environmentally friendly building materials. Its Solar Paver is a construction solution that integrates reused materials and green electricity with modern architecture. In places where it is not safe or lawful to install rooftop solar panels, the firm’s clean energy paving blocks may be used. The substructure of the product is compressed plastic waste that cannot be recycled another way. The tempered glass surface is durable enough for people to walk on, making the panels ideal for public parks, rooftop gardens and electric car charging stations. The output capacity of an installation depends on its size and weather conditions, but on a sunny day, the power yield is about 180 watts per square meter. We salute your forward-looking creativity, Platio! Your bright ideas foretell a golden future of sustainability, which we pray will be founded on plant-based nutrition for everyone. Traditional Indian sport provides opportunities for disadvantaged girl. When Sarika Kale was a child, her favorite activity was kho-kho, a form of tag that requires agility and stamina. Although her family could not afford to eat more than once a day, she excelled as a player and became the leader of her state kho-kho squad. After winning three league championships, Ms. Kale joined the national team and was promoted to captain a year later. Under her direction, the club prevailed at two international competitions in 2016. Subsequently, the athlete was appointed Sports Officer in her home district of Osmanabad. Ms. Kale uses a portion of her salary to sponsor girls who want to play kho-kho professionally. And in recognition of her achievements, she has received the Arjuna Award, one of India’s highest athletic honors. Our delighted applause, Sarika Kale! We pray that your determination will inspire many girls throughout South Asia. Coming up, British company introduces vegan version of popular malted beverage mix. We will take a moment to appreciate the engineers who design solar battery chargers that catch the energy coming from the sun and convert it into electricity for our mobile devices. More wonderful news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Motivating News for a Selfless World. British beverage brand evolves product’s formula to meet dairy-free demand. Horlicks pioneered malted milk powder over 100 years ago as a nutritional supplement. However, its commercial success can be attributed to the mixture’s unique and endearing flavor, which is derived from germinated barley and wheat. The current trend toward plant-based options motivated the firm to launch a vegan version in the United Kingdom at the end of 2020. Consumers can add their favorite milk alternative and enjoy the combination hot or cold. Now, Horlicks Vegan is available in bulk to European and UK foodservice operators, such as restaurants, school and hospital cafeterias as well as caterers, for adding depth and creaminess to a variety of drinks and desserts. We celebrate the arrival of another animal-free foodstuff for awakening humanity! In Celestial upliftment, may the whole planet embrace veganism and recreate its lost Paradise. Rare animal demonstrates the value of conservation. In the Ozark Mountains of Missouri, USA, a white bison calf was born on a private property. He was named Takoda, a Sioux word that means “friend to everyone.” According to Native American teachings that go back thousands of years, such an extraordinary being should be regarded as sacred. His arrival signifies peaceful relations among humans, material well-being and renewed devotion to the Great Spirit. Earlier this year, Takoda joined 25 other bison roaming Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. Visitors can see the herd from a safe distance aboard a tram ride through the canyon. Conservationists have been working to save the species from extinction and are very pleased with Takoda’s surprise appearance. Long life to you, Takoda! With blessings of the Great Spirit, may we also be friends to everyone in honor of our fundamental oneness. Some people say it takes at least 10 muscles to smile. Well, here’s your chance for some easy exercise with our joke of the day entitled “Telephone Attendant.” Little Cindy was home alone for the first time when suddenly the telephone rang. The child was nervous, but picked up the receiver and said hallo. “Hallo, young lady. Could I please speak to your mother or father?” “My parents aren’t home.” “Then, could I please leave them a message?” “We don’t have an answering machine.” And now we have a heartline from Peace in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam: Dear Master and the Supreme Master Television team, First of all, I would like to sincerely thank Master for what came to me in recent years. In today’s news, Spain aids refugees and migrants from Venezuela, climate change threatens communities in the Himalayas, German materials company invents hydrogen energy cream for motorcycles and e-scooters, pigs successfully learn to play video games in United States study, world’s largest art canvas by Dubai-based British painter raises funds for COVID-19 affected children, Scottish doctor credits a plant-based diet with keeping her cancer-free, and Team Ruff wins Puppy Bowl 2021 in United States. Spanish agency supports Venezuelan refugees. The Spanish Agency for International Development and Cooperation contributed €5 million to support refugees and migrants from Venezuela and their major host communities in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, as well as people in need in Venezuela. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused increased unemployment and compounded challenges faced by refugees and migrants. Therefore, the funding, distributed by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), will be used to enhance health and education systems, plus support socio-economic integration in the host countries. Spain is a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion. Bravo, Spanish Agency for International Development and Cooperation and the International Organization for Migration, for your loving care for the vulnerable. May all refugees and migrants be blessed with lasting peace and good health, in God’s boundless mercy. Global warming endangers millions of lives in the Himalayas. According to the Nepal-based International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, 15% of the glaciers in the Hindu Kush Himalayan region has been lost since 1970 due to global warming, affecting the lives of approximately 77 million people. In particular, the melting of a large piece of ice that broke off from the Ronti glacier following a rockslide resulted in the recent catastrophic, deadly flood in Uttarakhand state of India. Furthermore, shrinking winters and erratic snowfall are reducing water availability for drinking and agriculture, while increased extreme rainfall in the monsoon season is damaging crops. The Centre warned that with the current rising temperatures, glacier volumes could decline 90% by 2100. Thank you, International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, for this assessment. We pray for our Himalayan brothers and sisters’ wellbeing, and that our world will urgently embrace the most climate-friendly, vegan lifestyle, in Heaven’s guidance. Up next, German materials company invents hydrogen powerpaste for motorcycles and e-scooters. We’ll just take a little time to thank the moldmakers who fabricate the rigid, hollowed-out frames for casting smartphone cases. Will return with more high-thinking news after these messages here on Supreme Master Television. Good day, radiant viewers! I’m Austin the vegan Aardvark. Where does my endless energy come from? Plants! So power up like me on vegan fare. Today, I’d like to offer a tip. Want to be environmentally conscious and conserve paper and trees? Rather than printing papers out to file, try saving them as PDF documents (under Save As), then transfer them to a cloud storage system. Organize the files in separate folders on your computer. Next time you’re looking for a specific document, you can easily search by folder or keyword to find them. Thank you for tuning in, and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now the weather around the globe! Inventors create hydrogen-binding cream to power small-size vehicles. Germany’s Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials has developed a cream called a powerpaste that can be used to fuel small cars, scooters, and motorcycles. The putty-like substance is magnesium-based and when mixed with water, releases hydrogen gas that is converted into electricity to propel a vehicle. The powerpaste was created to address the challenges faced in the hydrogen energy industry of requiring heavy fuel tanks and high-pressure refueling processes. Thus, till now, hydrogen energy has been more suitable for larger vehicles like planes and ships. But the new invention, once fully developed, can be used for small or large vehicles, and also appliances like coffee makers. What a smart, outside-the-box solution, Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials! May more inventors tune into the Universal storehouse of bright ideas to build a cleaner planet. Pigs have success learning video games. Scientists at Purdue University in Indiana, United States, taught a duo of two-year-old Panepinto micro pigs and two three-month-old Yorkshire pigs to manipulate a joystick in order to control a cursor on a computer monitor. The test participants, who were rewarded with treats when they accomplished the visuospatial task before them, demonstrated their intelligence in a manner that researchers called “remarkable, and indicative of their behavioral and cognitive flexibility.” Interestingly, a skill gap was noted in the individual pigs: the Panepinto pigs, named Ebony and Ivory, both performed at an 84% success rate when presented with the easiest task, but at the most difficult level Ivory was able to complete with 32% more accuracy than her pal Ebony. We are impressed yet again by the abilities of our bright and marvelous porcine friends! May due respect and love soon be given to all animal individuals with whom we share this planet. World record-winning painting raises funds for millions of youth. Based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), renowned British artist and philanthropist Sacha Jafri has set a Guinness World Record for creating “the largest art canvas” with his painting entitled “The Journey of Humanity.” Created in The Palm ballroom of Dubai’s luxury hotel Atlantis, the almost 1,600 square meter artwork took Mr. Jafri seven months, working 20 hours a day. The completed masterpiece was sold at an auction for US$62 million, double the expected amount, all to support 10 million children critically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Focusing on education, digital connectivity, healthcare and sanitation, the humanitarian initiative was in partnership with the UAE government, UNESCO, UNICEF, as well as the philanthropic groups Dubai Cares and Global Gift Foundation. The United Arab Emirates is a recipient of the Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance and a laureate of Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, Environment Protection, Protection, and Compassion. Our warm felicitations, Sacha Jafri, and many thanks to you and all involved. Looking forward to more such endeavors of art and charity, in Divine upliftment. Coming up, Scottish doctor credits vegan diet with keeping her cancer-free. We’ll pause for a moment to be grateful for our favorite meditation spot where we can peacefully recharge every day. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more touching news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Loving News for a Compassionate World. Doctor’s plant-based diet helps with cancer recovery. Dr. Laura Freeman from Glasgow, Scotland, was pregnant when a lump in her neck was detected during a routine check-up. It was found to be thyroid cancer. After giving birth, Dr. Freeman had the tumor removed but decided against taking the usual next step of iodine radiotherapy. In lieu of that, she conducted her own research, discovered the benefits of veganism, and with her family replaced their meat and dairy intake with whole plant foods. Dr. Freeman said, “Having a plant-based diet has saved my life; it’s been nothing short of transformational for me and my family.” Together with another vegan doctor, she now runs a service called Plant Based Health Online and has seen many patients come off their diabetes and blood pressure medication as a result of the diet change. What wonderful news, Dr. Laura Freeman! Thank you for helping others improve their health as you did your own through a vegan lifestyle. May you, your family and all those you inspire, thrive, in the support of the Providence. Team Ruff lauded as this year’s Puppy Bowl champions. The 17th annual beloved televised game, on the US channel Animal Planet, was a happy celebration for Team Ruff, as well as for all the 70 adorable participating puppies. Modelled after the Super Bowl, an American football game, the Puppy Bowl sports event features only adoptable pups from shelters playing about on a miniature football field, displaying their unique personalities. Kittens also have their chance to exhibit their charm during halftime, with all the featured canines and felines then being adopted into their forever homes. This year’s MVP (Most Valuable Pup), whom viewers vote for, was awarded to Marshall, a hearing-impaired terrier who is training to be a support dog for nurses on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic. Puppy Bowl was created to encourage the adoption of the vast number of animals in shelters. Our joyful appreciation, Animal Planet and Puppy Bowl. We pray that one day soon, all precious animals will have loving homes. Now, get ready for a good laugh with a joke of the day, entitled, “Football Ticket.” At a football match, Sam saw one very enthusiastic boy and asked him: "Hey, kid, where did you get money for such an expensive ticket?" "My father bought it." "Why didn’t he come with you?" "He is at home looking for the ticket." And now we have a heartline from Rosy in India: Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai, I thank You from the bottom of my heart for Supreme Master Television. Thank You for all the hard work that You do for us. All the programs shown are positive and very uplifting. Thanks for this positive channel, which shows no negativity. In today’s news, Finland’s financial donation boosts underprivileged children in Lebanon, study finds vegan diet brings better health than Mediterranean diet, Australian marine World Heritage sites are among the planet’s largest carbon stores, British research shows plastic waste travels thousands of kilometers after entering rivers, uniquely-abled Indian woman a roller-skating champion, Colorado, USA governor declares March 20, 2021, as MeatOut Day, and loyal dog companion stays with injured Italian hiker for seven nights in freezing weather. Finland supports well-being of Lebanon’s vulnerable children. Finland has donated €4.3 million to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to bolster their “No Lost Generation” program that aims at improving the welfare of Lebanon’s youth. To lessen instances of child labor and child marriage, the initiative will offer at-risk children skills development courses and non-formal education, as well as online learning opportunities and vocational training. The endeavor has components that enhances youth safety, provides cash assistance to strengthen a child’s economic situation, and offers psychosocial help. Our genuine praise and gratitude, Government of Finland, for your generous aid to the underprivileged Lebanese youth in their time of need. Many thanks also, UNICEF, for your global work that helps all minors have safer and better lives. May Allah bless the children of Lebanon with the best possible environment to grow and thrive. Research finds vegan diet healthier than Mediterranean diet. A study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition found that a low-fat vegan diet successfully improved several health markers compared to the Mediterranean diet, which is partially plant-based, but includes seafood, meat, eggs and dairy products. In the 16-week randomized crossover trial with 62 overweight adults, participants on the 100% plant-based diet lost an average 6 kilograms of body weight, considerably reduced cholesterol levels, and improved insulin sensitivity, while there were no significant changes in these measurements for those on the Mediterranean diet. Study author Dr. Hana Kahleova, Director of Clinical Research at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, stated that choosing plant-based eating is a great way to lose weight and get healthy. Our appreciation, Dr. Hana Kahleova and all involved in this valuable study. May everyone now embrace the vegan lifestyle for vibrant health, in God’s illuminating wisdom. Up next, Australian marine World Heritage sites are among the planet’s largest carbon stores. We’ll just thank the diligent factory-workers on the assembly line, who perfect smartphone cases by removing any uneven surfaces or blemishes to make them smooth for consumers. Please stay for more giving news on Supreme Master Television. Hi, sea-loving friends, how have you been? I'm Beatriz the vegan Cuban Greater Funnel-Eared Bat. I look fabulous because I’m vegan. Here is a useful tip for your lovely baby. Did you know that massaging your newborn may help calm them down? Studies suggest that babies who are massaged cry less and sleep better. To soothe your infant, undress him or her and use slow, firm strokes to rub their back, chest, face, arms and legs. Before you apply any lotions or oils, make sure you check with your pediatrician to see if they are safe. You can also stroke your newborn’s tummy in a clockwise motion or move their legs as if bicycling to alleviate some of the pressure from tummy bloating. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Thank you for your attention, and here’s the weather around our beautiful globe. Australia’s marine World Heritage sites contain some of the world’s largest carbon sinks. A new UNESCO report co-authored by Dr. Oscar Serrano, a marine ecology expert from Australia’s Edith Cowan University, states that mangrove, seagrass, and tidal marsh ecosystems in the country’s six marine World Heritage sites hold 40% of the total estimated 5 billion tons of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s “blue carbon” stores. The study looked at carbon housed in 50 marine World Heritage sites globally. The largest carbon repositories in Australia are the Great Barrier Reef, Ningaloo Coast, and Shark Bay World Heritage areas. Such ecosystems cover 1% of the world’s surface but represent nearly half of the carbon dioxide that the planet’s oceans absorb, at about a 30-times faster rate than rainforests. Awesome news, Australia, on being identified as a blue carbon hotspot. In Divine grace, we pray for continued efforts to protect such precious environments. Plastic waste entering rivers rapidly moves across thousands of kilometers. A study by the Zoological Society of London and the University of Exeter, both in the United Kingdom, has discovered that plastic bottles can travel along waterways for thousands of kilometers within a few months. Twenty-two 500 milliliter bottles containing GPS devices were placed at various points of India’s Ganges River, and three were released into the Bay of Bengal. It was observed that within 94 days, one of the bottles traveled 2,845 kilometers. The scientists estimate that 80% of plastics in the oceans likely originated from rivers and believe their valuable findings could better our understanding of how plastic pollution gets into our seas. Our appreciation, United Kingdom researchers, for highlighting the global issue of plastic waste. May all nations and citizens work in unison to ensure our planet is clean and healthy by choosing only sustainable and reusable resources, in Celestial delight. Indian roller-skating star shines. Priyanka Dewan from India discovered her passion for roller-skating at just eight-years-old. Now at 20, she is an international roller-skating champion. Despite having an intellectual disability, the enthusiastic sportswoman excels in competitions with the constant encouragement of her ever-supportive mother. Ms. Dewan competed at the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, winning a gold, silver, and bronze medal. The Honorable Jared Polis has proclaimed March 20, 2021, as “MeatOut Day” to promote a plant-based diet to his state’s citizens. MeatOut Day was started by the Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) in 1985 as a way to inform people of the benefits of avoiding meat. Governor Polis’s long-term partner, also known as Colorado’s first gentleman, Marlon Reis has been vegan for over 15 years and is a dedicated animal rights activist, who is also working hard to help bring the important topic of animal welfare to the American public’s attention. Colorado is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate. Bravo, and thank you, Governor Jared Polis and Marlon Reis. We pray that your official support of a plant-based diet further leads the way to the whole world adopting the compassionate, planet-saving, vegan lifestyle. May you both be forever blessed by the Providence. Loyal dog stays with injured hiker for seven nights in the freezing Alps. Michele Benedet, 33, from northeastern Italy and his dog companion Ash recently set out on their yearly trek into the foothills of the region’s Julian Alps. During their journey, Mr. Benedet slipped and broke his ankle. With no cellphone signal in the area, he was unable to call for help. After his girlfriend reported their disappearance, a helicopter rescue team found Mr. Benedet. He was conscious and lying on the ground with faithful Ash by his side. Mr. Benedet withstood the frigid temperatures by covering himself with leaves and hugging loving Ash for warmth, whose company he credits for his survival. Thank God for your amazing resilience, Michele Benedet, and wishing you a speedy recovery. We salute you, noble, life-saving Ash. May you both enjoy many more safe nature hikes together, under Heaven’s watchful gaze. Laughing is healthy for your mind and heart. Enjoy our joke of the day called, “Skipping School.” After missing school for a day, Clare was asked by her teacher: “Clare, why didn’t you come to school yesterday?” “My dad is in the hospital.” After hearing this, the teacher understood that she had a credible reason for not coming. Then, a week later he asked Clare: “Is your dad still in the hospital?” “Yes. He’s a doctor.” ?! And now we have a heartline from Joy in Taiwan, also known as Formosa: Dear Master, Watching Supreme Master TV made me understand how loving and precious animals are. I rescued an abused dog a few years ago. Since I adopted him, I suddenly fell in love with meditation and spiritual practice. I fed him vegan food and he loved it. Having been abused in the past, he was afraid of humans at the beginning, but he became lively and happy later on. A few months ago, he fell ill and died. On the day of his passing, I said to him, “Wait for me in the New Spiritual Land. We will meet again!” Thanks to Master and Supreme Master TV, we have learned how to truly treat animals with love. Thank You, Master. I love You. Joy from Taiwan (Formosa) Tender-hearted Joy, Our gratitude for relating this moving tale of the love you and your beloved dog companion shared. Supreme Master Ching Hai has a reply for you: “Precious Joy, my heart goes out to you as I know the loss felt when our beloved animal friends pass on to Heavenly realms. We are truly blessed to love and be loved by these loyal and giving beings. May the Buddha be your Light now and always and may all your faithful Taiwanese (Formosan) co-citizens be graced by the love of our deserving animal co-inhabitants.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Study finds vegan diet brings better health than Mediterranean diet

A study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition found that a low-fat vegan diet successfully improved several health markers compared to the Mediterranean diet, which is partially plant-based, but includes seafood, meat, eggs and dairy products. In the 16-week randomized crossover trial with 62 overweight adults, participants on the 100% plant-based diet lost an average 6 kilograms of body weight, considerably reduced cholesterol levels, and improved insulin sensitivity, while there were no significant changes in these measurements for those on the Mediterranean diet.Study author Dr.
