The United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Mark Lowcock, released US$14 million from the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) to aid more than 45,000 individuals displaced by a fire that engulfed the world’s largest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Most of those displaced were Rohingya refugees. The funds will help provide shelter, water, food as well as other necessities and emergency services. At least 11 people lost their lives, more than 500 have injuries, and approximately 400 are missing. Also, over 10,000 structures including shelters, mosques, community centers and important health, nutrition, and education structures were destroyed. The United Nations is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership Award for Humanitarianism and two Shining World Leadership for Lives-Saving-Hero Awards. Our sincere gratitude, and Heaven’s blessings United Nations! May the Divine grace the Rohingya refugees and everyone affected by the fire with much love and comfort as we pray for a stable and hopeful future for all in need. Research shows every vegan saves over 100 animals annually. A study by United States-based nonprofit Animal Charity Evaluators assessed that on average, a person adopting a vegan diet saves the lives of nearly 105 animals each year. Of the lives spared, approximately 92.5 are wild and farmed fish, 11.6 are farmed birds including chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, and 0.6 are farmed mammals such as pigs, rabbits, sheep, goats and cows. Entitled “The Effects of Diet Choices,” the analysis estimated that over 772 billion animals were slaughtered in 2018 for human consumption, basing the calculation primarily on data from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. The authors noted that if adding the animals who died due to the indirect causes of meat production such as deforestation, the number of lives saved by a vegan is actually higher. Our earnest appreciation, Animal Charity Evaluators. May everyone be kind stewards of our innocent animal friends to save lives and our planet through the noble diet of compassion, in God’s benevolence. Up next, Japanese company trials satellite cleanup machine. We are now going to thank the innkeepers of vegan bed and breakfast establishments, who rent out clean and tidy rooms while ensuring personalized care to guests for a pleasant stay with plant-based fare. Please stay for more outstanding news on Supreme Master Television. It’s a beautiful day, blissful viewers! I’m Connie the vegan Candy Basslet. Who is watching my tip of the day? Oh, I know, my lovely vegan friends. How lovely you and I have become since we switched to a vegan diet... My friends say I am so adorable as a vegan and they follow suit. Now we are all soo adorable that everyone loves to hang out with us. I’ve got a cooking tip for you today. Do you have limited time with your busy schedule? If so, prepare food that takes a long time to make, like rice, in larger batches. Once cooked, then distribute the rice over a lined tray and freeze it. After it is frozen, divide it into meal-sized portions in freezer containers and you’ll be able to have it ready super quick the next time you want to use it in a meal. This method is particularly great for brown rice and whole grains since their cooking time is longer. Lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Thank you for watching. Now for the weather from around the world. Japanese company to trial space debris removal satellite. Japanese startup Astroscale recently launched a pair of satellites to test a technology that will help to clean up space debris that is floating in our planet’s orbit. The End-of-Life Services spacecraft by Astroscale Demonstration (Elsa-d) includes a servicer satellite to remove the debris and a client satellite to act as the debris, which will be released numerous times in different scenarios to test the technology. It is estimated that there are 25,000 pieces of space junk floating above our planet that are potential hazards for current and future space travel and satellites as well as the International Space station. An exciting advancement, Astroscale! Our best wishes for your work to clean up around Earth’s orbit. In Celestial light, may we responsibly care for all areas of our precious world. Scientists find sea life under ice in Antarctica. International scientists who are living in Antarctica on a research vessel called Polarstern, recently had the opportunity to inspect the seafloor under the Antarctic Ice Sheet after an iceberg separated from the sheet. Photos and video were taken using the Ocean Floor Observation and Bathymetry System that revealed extensive biodiversity, including sea stars, squid, fish, mollusks, sea cucumbers and more. The team of scientists is currently on a mission to study Antarctica’s environment to better understand the consequences of climate change. Thank you, Polarstern researchers, for sharing images of the wondrous marine life in the Antarctic. May your ongoing studies assist people in realizing the importance of halting global warming now by immediately adopting the vegan lifestyle, in Heaven’s wisdom. Siblings partner up to supply feminine hygiene products for underprivileged women. The altruistic sister and brother team of Benita and Brian Benoi of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, launched a campaign to obtain sanitary pads for disadvantaged women and girls in Indian villages. Through their “Power to Periods” project, the caring duo successfully collected 45 kilograms of products, which will be shipped to a non-profit in India to be distributed in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Benita, who is studying mechanical engineering at a university in the United Kingdom, learned of the need during a vacation in India. Brian, a 9th grade student, provided publicity via social media and created awards for donors. He wanted to be a “role model” to inspire fellow males to support female health-related causes. Our applause, Benita and Brian Benoi. In Divine fulfillment, may your kindness encourage youth worldwide to aid those less fortunate. Up next on Noteworthy News, Unilever brand says 80% of meat to be plant-based by 2045. Their comment follows a massive 70% growth rate of The Vegetarian Butcher in 2020. The company recently started a global campaign called “Sacrifice Nothing” that promotes plant-based meat. Good news, Unilever and The Vegetarian Butcher, on your new campaign. In the love of Heaven, we pray compassion will uplift all hearts to help quickly bring about a vegan planet. Caregivers praise their clever cat companion for detecting a dangerous gas leak. Sandi Martin was playing with her rescued cat companion Lilly in the living room of her Oregon, United States, home, when Lilly curiously went over to the gas fireplace and started sniffing the valve. Having never seen her feline friend do that before, Sandi and her husband called the gas company to come for an inspection, and the worker confirmed that it was in fact a dangerous gas leak. If Lilly had not alerted Ms. Martin, gas may have accumulated in the house, which could have resulted in an explosion. Ms. Martin also shared that Lilly had helped her overcome the feelings of isolation brought on by the lockdowns of the coronavirus pandemic. We are so grateful for your super olfactory abilities and warm friendship with your family, Lilly! God bless you. May all our brilliant animal friends be shielded in the protection of the Providence. Laughter is an instant vacation. Let’s take a short trip and laugh together with our joke of the day entitled, “Marriage Statistics.” “You know, Myra, these days there are a whole lot of girls who do not want to get married. Austria offers much-needed funds to Yemen. Through its Foreign Disaster Fund, the Austrian government has pledged a €3 million donation to help Yemeni people with humanitarian support and protection, as 80% of the citizens are currently in need. The financial aid will be given to the International Committee of the Red Cross to sustain its life-saving work in the nation. Austria’s Vice-Chancellor, His Excellency Werner Kogler said, “More than two million [Yemeni] children under the age of five suffer from acute malnutrition. ... Aid from Austria is vital for survival.” Our warm thankfulness, the Austrian government and the International Committee of the Red Cross. We pray for the loving Yemeni people to soon have peace and dignity, in Allah’s elevating grace. United Nations cautions of worsening food crises in urgent areas. As reported by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Food Programme, millions of people across more than 20 countries face severe food insecurity during the next few months. The countries seen to be most at risk are Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Haiti, Honduras, northern Nigeria, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Yemen and Zimbabwe. According to the analysis, the deteriorating circumstances are primarily a result of climate instability, conflict, COVID-19, and desert locust swarms. The organizations have requested US$5.5 billion from donors to ensure urgent food and nutritional aid as well as monetary and livelihood support. Thank you for the report, United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and World Food Programme. In Divine benevolence, may we join our efforts to safeguard the wellbeing of our vulnerable brothers and sisters. Up next, electric trucks to be mass produced in Australia. We’ll just take a moment to thank the theatrical agents, who represent talented performers in business matters and help find fitting opportunities for them. Will return with more pleasant news after these messages here on Supreme Master Television. Hallo, Earth-loving friends, it’s Christian the vegan Caribou. Our world is transforming for the better and you can too. Just be vegan! Here is a safety tip for you. Research has shown that smoke detectors save lives. If your smoke detector is not working properly, it’s likely due to empty batteries. Many people are unaware that smoke detectors are constantly running, which means that they should change the batteries regularly. It is crucial to replace the batteries immediately after you hear a warning beep indicating that the battery is low. Manufacturers suggest changing the battery at least once yearly. To be extra cautious, you could replace the batteries twice a year. Thank you for tuning in. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. And now, the worldwide weather. Electric trucks to be mass-produced in Australia. United States-headquartered SEA Electric is now producing their own innovative, zero-emission trucks on a large scale, to sell at 15 dealerships across Australia. Built with the company’s patented drive power system, the SEA 300 and 500 e-vehicles offer a travel range of up to 300 kilometers and can be charged at their own warehouse or fast charging stations. They also fulfill various trucking needs, from refrigerated food delivery to garbage disposal, while helping these industries reduce their pollution. The company has a goal of mitigating over 1.1 million metric tons of CO2 in the next five years. Great work, SEA Electric. May cleaner vehicles eventually be used in all sectors worldwide, in the wisdom of the Providence. Herbal medicine production expands in Iran. The number of permits granted to produce herbal and natural products increased to over 3,700 in Iran during the last decade, representing a tenfold growth. Meanwhile, imports of the same category of items declined by 85% over the past Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20. The nation now farms medicinal plants across approximately 188,000 hectares of land, with saffron accounting for the largest portion of its exports. In addition, plant-based medicines comprise 4% of the total amount of medicines used in the country. Excellent news, Iran, on your flourishing production and interest in natural health products. In Celestial light, may the wise people of Iran be blessed with vibrant and joyous lives. Former student raises funds for homeless teacher during pandemic. On his way to work every morning, Steven Nava from Fontana, California, United States, noticed the same elderly man sleeping in his car with all of his belongings. The man turned out to be his former high school substitute teacher named José Villaruel. Having been unemployed ever since schools switched to virtual learning, Mr. Villaruel only received a monthly social security check, which he most often sent to his severely ill wife living in Mexico. Steven gave Mr. Villaruel US$300 and helped him find a hotel. The kind student also set up a GoFundMe page and shared the story on social media. In response, many community members including former students, county employees, and the sheriff’s department all joined in to help. The mayor’s office also organized a party at a community center on Mr. Villaruel’s 77th birthday, where he received a US$27,000 check of support. Our joyful applause, Steven Nava and everyone involved. Thank you for your loving example. May all the good teachers like Mr. José Villaruel have the care we owe them, in Heaven’s love. Coming up, vegan burger from Czechia wins recognition. We’ll pause for a moment to appreciate the cool refreshing breeze that brings a pleasant change in the weather. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more friendly news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Thoughtful News for a Caring World. Czech vegan food tech company wins recognition. Heaven Labs’ beef-like ManaBurger was recently voted the nation’s favorite vegan product. The poll was conducted by Rostlinně, a project which supports food producers, restaurants and supermarkets in launching new vegan items. The tasty burger is made from a range of healthy ingredients such as proteins from algae, pea and hemp, and has added vitamins and minerals. The ManaBurger is currently available through Heaven Labs’ Czech, German and US e-shops and will soon be sold across all Czech retail supermarkets. Congratulations, Heaven Labs, on your exciting success. In God’s delight, may more companies help people shift to the plant-based way with healthy and delicious products. Initiative in Philadelphia, United States launched to protect migrating birds. Sadly, hundreds of millions of migratory birds of different species lose their lives in the U.S. each year from colliding into brightly lit buildings. A major cause of this is light pollution, which disorients them and interferes with their ability to navigate using the moon and stars. Gradually since 1999, businesses, building owners and tenants have joined to make cities safer for birds by lowering their properties’ light intensity at night. To date, conservation groups have set up local “lights out” programs in dozens of U.S. cities. Most recently in Philadelphia, a coalition called Bird Safe Philly has announced its own initiative, called “Lights out Philly,” encouraging high-rise apartments and businesses to dim or turn off their outdoor lights during migration times. Our standing ovation, Bird Safe Philly and all others who are part of this considerate, lives-saving movement. May all our avian friends around the globe be safe, in the Divine’s mercy. And now we have a joke of the day to relax your mind. It’s called, “Celebrity.” Uncle George asked his little niece Fiona if she’d like to join him for a concert of a very talented celebrity singer. "So, what do you say, little Fiona? Would you like to come? Do you know what a celebrity means?" "Yes! A celebrity is someone who works hard all their life to become known and then wears dark glasses to avoid being recognized." And now we have a heartline from Carri in Australia: Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai, I would like to say thank You so so so so much for all the miracles that have happened in my wonderful life here on Earth. I feel joyous and relaxed in my spiritual practice as many things have improved for me over the past few years, both mentally and physically. My daughter said, “The best decision you made was bringing me up as a vegan.” I am so happy that being vegan touches her heart. In today’s news, Korea steps forward to support Syrian refugees in Jordan, Spanish physicists explain mysterious recurring cloud on Mars, new study determines United States can be carbon neutral by 2050, a steel arch was completed in India for world’s highest railway bridge, Marine Corps veteran rescues neighbor from fire, vegan boutique hotel opens in Costa Rica, and Japanese cat completes three years as stationmaster. All this and more on Supreme Master Television, your constructive global network. UN agency receives new contribution to buffer ongoing challenges. Korea has donated US$1 million to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Jordan. The funding comes at a time when displaced Syrians’ needs have increased due to the COVID-19 pandemic. UNHCR will be able to continue the cash assistance program whereby vulnerable families can pay their rent, buy food and access health care. Since the Syrian crisis began in 2011, Jordan has taken in more than 630,000 registered refugees. However, the government estimates that the total count is actually closer to 1.5 million when unregistered migrants are included. Jordan is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Public Health Protection recipient. Korea is a laureate of three Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection and Peace. Our sincere appreciation, Jordan, Korea and UNHCR for your enduring kindness. May the amiable Syrian people soon see the dawn of peace, in the abundant mercy of Allah. Scientists unravel Martian atmospheric mystery. A peculiar cloud appears in the southern hemisphere of the red planet every morning for several months during spring and summer. With funding from the Spanish Ministry of Science, the Basque Government and the European Space Agency, researchers analyzed data and images dating back to the 1970s. They have concluded that the cloud begins forming before sunrise on the western slope of Arsia Mons, an extinct volcano. As it rises, the moisture clings to dust in the air and high-speed winds stretch the formation westward for about 2 1/2 hours. The warmth of the Sun then causes the mist to evaporate before midday. The scientists think that understanding this phenomenon will help them develop better climate models of both Earth and Mars. Well done, planetary physicists! We pray that your exploration of outer space will help illuminate our perspective about humanity’s place in the universe. Up next, new study shows how the United States could be carbon-neutral by 2050. We’ll take a moment to thank the orchard workers who not only plant, cultivate and harvest fruits, but also clean, pack and load them for transport. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more gratifying news. Hallo, Earth-loving friends! I am Malika the vegan Masai Giraffe. Would you like to experience unbounded love? Choose to be vegan and cherish all beings! I’m happy to share a tip from our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai today: “Hi kids, If you happen to have some disagreement or misunderstanding with family members or friends, and find it hard to clarify your opinion or self-defense, just calmly wait till you can collect your thoughts and write them all down as truthfully and clearly as you can, then give it to that person(s). Surely things will sort out better this way than a heated argument or explanation that you might be too shy to express. Peace to you, my good ones. God Loves you kids!” Thank You very much for this caring advice, Supreme Master Ching Hai. We love You! Love you all for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Thank you for your attention, and now here’s the weather around our beautiful globe. New study shows a roadmap on how the United States could be carbon-neutral by 2050. Researchers at the University of San Francisco, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Evolved Energy Research in the United States worked on new energy models for 16 geographic regions in the country. Their recently published report considers the many details of energy production and consumption with a view to decarbonizing the economy by 2050. Action steps that need to be taken include boosting solar and wind capacity, phasing out coal-fired power plants, increasing zero-emission vehicle sales as well as constructing new transmission lines and more energy-efficient buildings. The authors also touched on increasing CO2 uptake by the land through changing agricultural practices. Indeed, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a Shining World Leadership for Lives-Saving-Hero Award laureate, advocates a global transition from animal livestock raising to plant-based nutrition. We sincerely appreciate your efforts and recommendations, researchers. May the decision makers in Washington promptly heed your advice, in Divine wisdom. Bridge spanning over Chenab River to be completed by 2022. Currently, a road trip from Katra to Banihal in northern India can take up to 12 hours. But the distance will be reduced by half once it is possible to make the journey by train. Progress on the Ministry of Railways’ project has been slow due to engineering challenges and the coronavirus pandemic. But the steel arches constructed from both sides of the river were recently joined in the middle at a height of 359 meters, which will make it the highest railway bridge in the world. The structure has been designed to withstand major earthquakes and winds of up to 266 kilometers per hour. India is a recipient of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Shining World Leadership Awards for Environmental Protection and Good Governance; as well as a laureate of three Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, three Shining World Leadership Awards for Justice, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Good Governance and Protection. Our delighted applause, Indian Ministry of Railways! Your pending achievement inspires us to visit your hallowed land and celebrate alongside your cherished citizens, in Celestial enchantment. Selfless senior risks his life to save neighbors. When 70-year-old James Johnson saw smoke coming from a house on his street in Pennsylvania, USA, he started running towards the house on fire. The Marine Corps veteran called 911 and with the help of two young boys kicked open the front door. As he was alerting the residents to evacuate, he learned there was someone trapped on the second floor. Without thinking of his own safety, the former serviceman ascended the stairs and retrieved a man from the flames. Once outside, emergency personnel smothered the rescued individual’s burning clothes with a blanket and arranged for transport to a trauma center. Later, Mr. Johnson was visited at home by a local magistrate judge who delivered a certificate honoring him for his actions that saved lives. God bless you, James Johnson, and our heartfelt gratefulness to all responders. We pray that the love you show others returns to you a thousandfold, in Heaven’s elevating embrace. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Joyfully present the Shining World Hero Award to James Johnson for your courageous deed, with love and gratitude. May the Divine keep you well and protected.” Coming up, vegan boutique hotel opens in Costa Rica. We will take a moment to care for our eyes by looking away from our work and focusing on something farther away. We can also roll our eyes up and down, then left and right, and finally close them to increase lubricating moisture. More refreshing news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Uplifting News for a Gentler World. Family transforms home into plant-based retreat. When Karen and Elwood Salstein Harris first moved to Costa Rica, they found it somewhat challenging to pursue their vegan lifestyles. Wanting to help promote the animal-free trend, they remodeled their residence in the beach town of Tamarindo to include 14 rooms for guests. Mother Earth Vegan Hotel was born and features a plant-based restaurant, a rooftop yoga and healing studio, plus a natural saltwater pool. All of the furnishings, amenities and cleaning products are also free of animal ingredients. Gray water from sinks, showers, washing machines and other appliances is recycled into clean water for irrigation. The establishment is powered by solar energy and maintains a zero-waste policy in the restaurant. We applaud your plant-based paradise, Karen and Elwood Salstein Harris! In Heavenly bliss, may our entire planet become known as a vegan hotel for embodied souls visiting this corner of the universe. Honorary stationmaster enjoys anniversary party in Japan. When a stray cat wandered into the Bungo-Taketa train station 10 years ago, she did not imagine she would be getting a name, a home and a job. But her affectionate manner soon won the hearts of employees and customers. The tabby was dubbed Nya and took up residence in the ticket office, occasionally falling asleep on the laps of passengers in the waiting room. In 2018, the city of Taketa named Nya the “stationmaster,” and she recently celebrated her third year in that capacity. The tourism association delivered a box of gifts, and community members in attendance got postcards featuring Nya’s image. Our hearts are warmed, Nya, by the blessings you bring and the appreciation you receive. Thank you for reminding us that when we follow God’s guidance to be loving to others, we are assured of the best possible outcomes. A good, hearty laugh is a great way to relieve stress. So laugh as much as you can at our joke of the day entitled “Grow Up.” One day, Bethy’s mother returned home after a long day at work and was feeling stressed out. When Bethy came into the kitchen to ask a question, her mom replied: “Bethy, you’ve grown up and you are a big girl now. I want you to start being more self-sufficient and solving your own problems. You know I have other things to do, and it would help if you didn’t depend on me so much.”Bethy took what her mom said to heart and remembered it when she went to school the next day. “Bethy, please come up and solve this math problem on the board.”So Bethy went to the front of the class and wrote out her solution: “Dear Math, please grow up and solve your own problems. I’m tired of solving them for you.” And now we have a heartline from Dai-Dai in China: Hallo, Beloved Master! Supreme Master TV team, wishing you all the best! I have been practicing the Quan Yin Method of meditation for almost 30 years. My spiritual journey began while in college when I came across Master’s sample book. Since then, I have broken through every obstacle to follow Master. Ever since I was initiated, I have devoted myself to the practice. I cherish dearly this rare opportunity to walk the Supreme Path under the tutelage of a living Master. While on the path, I have done everything I can to spread the teaching, as well as promote the vegan diet for the benefit of all. God’s work such as this has brought me immense bliss. For the last two years, I have had the good fortune of receiving Master’s approval to translate for Supreme Master TV. Whenever I had difficulty in understanding or translating a passage, I would pause to recite the Five Holy Names or meditate for a while. Then, oftentimes, an inspiration would flash through my mind, enabling me to grasp the meaning of the passage. Or, out of nowhere, an elegant expression would pop into my head. Each day, I persevere in my practice diligently, and Master regularly blesses me with inspirations that enhance the quality of my work. Such divine inspirations often leave me awestruck. Today, I continue to make great strides in my translating, often feeling as if God’s hand is at work. I have encountered many trials as a spiritual practitioner, but I have also been blessed with countless heavenly experiences and witnessed many miracles, all of which have contributed to making my faith in the path unshakable. My mother was a Christian and had never agreed with veganism. For over a decade, she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. In the last two years of her life, we had a fellow sister initiate to help look after her. We had left Supreme Master Television on every day, filling our living space with abundant blessings. My mom’s condition had remained stable ever since. Over the years, I have been present at the passing of many fellow initiates as well as their relatives. Many had exhibited auspicious signs during their passing. Last year, my mother passed away peacefully on the day of the Dragon Boat Festival. It was a profound experience for me. My young daughter, a half-initiate, had an experience during my mother’s passing that proved Master’s far-reaching power. She said that she had a peculiar feeling the moment she woke up that morning. Upon opening her eyes, she saw three pure white beams of light emanating from Master’s photo. They were so bright that she could see them with closed eyes. She had never witnessed anything so spectacular before in her life. She said that those white light beams illuminated the house for two hours before her grandma’s passing and only dissipated gradually 15 minutes after her departure. Upon hearing her personal account, I burst into tears. How merciful Master is! I had been so busy looking after my mother in the final stretches of her departure that I was unable to meditate or pray. It was You, Master, who silently blessed her and took her to the high Heavens with the power of Your great Merciful Love. My deepest gratitude to You, Master! Your boundless Compassion and Love were manifested in my mother in a series of miracles. Above all, Master’s incredible power had blessed her with a peaceful departure and freed her from the travails and physical ailments in this world, taking her back to her Heavenly abode. Throughout the funeral, there was little mourning, and instead, joy and peace filled the air. I knew in my heart of hearts, Master, that it was the might of Your great Mercy and Love that generated these miracles. O Master! Ever since I began my spiritual journey under Your protective wing, my life has entered a most sublime chapter. It has been a stupendous heavenward journey of indescribable wonderment as well as challenges. Yes, there have been trials and tribulations along the way, but the view at the peak is truly magnificent! Since the time of my initiation, there have been two sets of footprints on my path; one is mine, and one is Master’s. Whenever I was in the trough of my life, troubled by heartaches, sorrow, and frustrations, there was only one set of footprints. I know well that those deep, broad impressions in the sand were those of Master’s. It was You who sacrificed Your own comfort to carry me through those trying times. As the saying goes, “When the boon is too great, how can one say ‘thank you?’” There is nothing with which I can repay You in this life, Master. The only thing I can do is to practice diligently and hope that I can relieve You of the burden of my weight so that I may follow You on my own two feet and walk the way of great love! Finally, I pray that World Vegan will soon be! I sincerely pray that Master will stay healthy and well! Respectfully Yours, Dai-Dai, initiate from China Cherished Dai-Dai, Thank you for your prayers and illuminating words describing your experiences as a disciple of glorious Supreme Master Ching Hai and dedicated practitioner of the Quan Yin Method of meditation for nearly three decades. We pray others may also soon know the bliss of living a spiritual and vegan life. Blessed to have a living Master to guide us, once initiated, we know that our beloved Master never leaves us in life or death. May you, your loved ones, and the loyal Chinese people know Heaven’s Divine Love and blessings, Supreme Master TV team P.S. We are pleased to send you this reply from Master: “Faithful Dai-Dai, you have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, and mother, who is now enjoying her new Heavenly home. Choose to be vegan and cherish all beings!I’m happy to share a tip from our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai today: “Hi kids, If you happen to have some disagreement or misunderstanding with family members or friends, and find it hard to clarify your opinion or self-defense, just calmly wait till you can collect your thoughts and write them all down as truthfully and clearly as you can, then give it to that person(s).Surely things will sort out better this way than a heated argument or explanation that you might be too shy to express. Peace to you, my good ones. God Loves you kids!”Thank You very much for this caring advice, Supreme Master Ching Hai. We love You! In today’s news, European Union assists in job creation through grant for cultural heritage restoration program in Iraq, majority of epidemiologists surveyed believe current COVID-19 vaccines to be ineffective within one year, researchers find link between enhanced mental health and visiting various locations daily, NASA’s first-ever electric plane to begin testing, hero saves dog from icy lake in United Kingdom, vegan Mexican-style cheese dip released in United States, and two elephants in Thailand successfully escape ditch through teamwork. European Union (EU) grant to boost number of cultural heritage-related jobs in Iraq. The EU is funding a UNESCO and International Organization for Migration (IOM) partnership that aids small and medium-sized businesses in the cities of Mosul and Basra that are involved in traditional and cultural industries. The program will enable firms to hire more employees and access capital for expansion. Internally displaced persons, returnees, and locals will be helped by the new employment opportunities. The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring. Kudos, European Union, for your wise grant, as well as UNESCO and the International Organization for Migration for assisting in Iraq’s restoration of its cultural heritage and bolstering its economy. May Allah infinitely bless the proud Iraqi people. Epidemiologist survey reveals majority believe COVID-19 vaccines will be ineffective within a year. A poll by the People’s Vaccine Alliance (PVA) of 77 epidemiologists worldwide, some from leading institutions, has found that two-thirds of them expect that the current generation of vaccines will not protect against COVID-19 within a year. Eighty-eight percent of the respondents agreed that the slow vaccine roll-out and low inoculation rates globally could be significant factors leading to the rise of vaccine-resistant variants. The PVA is calling upon vaccine-producing pharmaceutical companies to share their intellectual property and technology so that inoculations may happen at a quicker pace and reach a broader population before further mutations occur. Thank you, participating epidemiologists, and the People’s Vaccine Alliance for your wise guidance on helping end the pandemic sooner. In the mercy of the Divine, may the vegan diet be rapidly adopted globally as the ultimate solution to halting zoonotic diseases. Up next, researchers find link between enhanced mental health and visiting various locations daily. We will pause for a moment to thank the System on a Chip design engineers who create single integrated chips that combine the components of a computer such as the central processing unit, memory, and storage for use in devices like smartphones and tablets. We’ll be right back, with more supporting news on Supreme Master Television. Good day, radiant viewers! I’m Walnut the vegan Turtle Dove. Life is so precious, I’m sure you agree. So celebrate life with me and be vegan! I would like to offer a tip. Did you know that carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist tendinitis and tennis elbow are all over-use injuries that can occur as a result of muscle weakness, specifically the finger or wrist extensors? These conditions can be prevented by making sure you maintain adequate strength in your hand muscles. You can exercise the finger and thumb extensor muscles by placing a rubber band around the tips of your fingers. Expand the rubber band as much as possible by spreading your fingers and thumb apart with your wrist straight and/or bent. Perform this exercise as many times as you can in a minute. You can make the exercise harder by using a thicker rubber band or several bands. If you are experiencing any pain from this exercise, please do not continue doing it. Consult a healthcare provider or physical therapist if you have continual wrist or finger pain. Thank you for tuning in, and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet, thus save the world! Now the weather around the globe! Researchers find link between visiting different places daily and better mental wellness. Scientists from the University of Basel in Basel, Switzerland and elsewhere conducted a study involving 106 people with various types of mental disorders and found a positive link between well-being and how much they move about. The participants each wore a GPS tracker for a week and completed surveys on their mental health at the end of each day. It was seen that those who traveled greater distances, visited more places, and also a greater range of locations, had an improved state of mind compared to others. Similarly, other research has demonstrated spending time in nature boosts mental well-being. Wonderful news, University of Basel researchers and team, on your study showing the psychological benefits of being active. In the grace of the Providence, may our understanding of ourselves continue to increase as we turn back to our true God nature. NASA’s electric X-57 aircraft enters testing phase. The United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration will be putting its fully electric X-57 Maxwell plane under high-voltage ground testing. The trials are to be conducted at the Armstrong Flight Research Center in California, USA. Initial checks will include supplying the plane with a low voltage to ensure the startup and shutdown phases are functional and the software boots up and correctly manages the two electric motors. After that, the voltage input will be increased to gauge the motors’ performance. The X-57’s development is expected to help the Federal Aviation Administration, the nation’s aircraft regulator, to set certification standards for future electric aircraft, including air taxis. Thank you, NASA, for all your creative work to advance green transportation technologies. May we soon have clearer skies and purer air globally as humanity finds ever better ways to live sustainably in Celestial splendor. Man jumps into freezing lake to save dog in United Kingdom. A hero from England, UK, named Darcy Pell rescued a canine that was stuck in a frozen lake. Mr. Pell was jogging around the lake in Pontefract Park, West Yorkshire, when he saw the struggling dog. He quickly jumped into the freezing water and broke through the ice to get to him. Once he reached the pooch, he helped him to swim back to shore. An onlooker filmed the whole event, and it has been shared extensively on social media. Mr. Pell also sent a word of caution to people who have dog companions to take good care of them. Our loving appreciation, Darcy Pell, for your heroic action to save the beautiful canine in need. In the wisdom of God, may we all look after our animal co-inhabitants in the best way possible to ensure their safety and happiness. Coming up, vegan Mexican-style cheese dip released in United States. We’ll just pause for a moment to organize our task list and prioritize the items based on their importance. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more healthy news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Delightful News for a Satisfying World. Vegan Mexican-style cheese dip launches in United States. LOCA Foods, founded by Lauren Joyner, has introduced a vegan queso nacho sauce, made from potatoes, carrots, sunflower oil, tomatoes, yeast and more. Sold online in the US, it replicates the taste, texture and meltability of the animal-based version but is compassionate and ecologically sound. Initial testing of the delectable product at places such as a baseball stadium and university cafeteria was successful as it was well received. Ms. Joyner explained, “I started LOCA on a mission to support a sustainable food future by offering allergy-free, plant-based alternatives to dairy products that nourish both people and the planet.” Intelligent and inventive Lauren Joyner, our gratitude for creating a nacho cheese replacement that is more environmentally-friendly, healthier for people and kinder to animals. In Heavens’ grace, may there be an exponential expansion of people embracing the vegan lifestyle worldwide as safeguarding other beings becomes our most important task. Two wild elephants in Thailand work together to escape ditch. In Thailand’s Rayong Province, two elephants accidentally got stuck in a garden’s dried-out pond. As there was no simple way out, the pair had to cooperate to exit, and the event was filmed by an onlooker. The two adorable pachyderms tried different methods to get out and touched each other lovingly for comfort and encouragement. Over the course of one hour, the larger elephant experimented with different ways to climb up and finally succeeded thanks to a nudge from the smaller one. He was able to follow his friend’s example and escape as well. We are so impressed by the elephants’ cleverness and loving support for each other! May we all recognize the sacredness of our animal co-inhabitants’ lives and love and respect them in the Divine’s boundless light. Laughter is a good mood booster, so we’ve selected a joke for you... It’s called “Five Qualities.” At a job interview, the candidate was asked about her strengths. “OK, Ms. Thomas, could you tell me your five best qualities? This is the time to advertise yourself.” “Well, my first quality is that I’m very modest... to the point where I can’t even tell you the others.” ?! And now we have a heartline from Elizabeth in the United States: Dear Master, I went vegetarian and mainly vegan almost 20 years ago as a teenager. Shortly thereafter, I learned about Master. At the time, I had severe depression and the moment I watched Master's videos, my depression disappeared. I was not a believer yet in Master, but my depression was gone. A few years later, I got the Convenient Method. A few years after that, I was fully initiated. I still was not sincere. I never practiced much; I even broke precepts for a while, but I always came back to Master in times of trouble and would watch Her lectures to calm myself. After my daughter was born, I was drawn back to Master's teachings. For the past six years, I have practiced sincerely and have been so satisfied. I have improved so much. Of course, so-called, “negative” things still happen, but my reaction is calm and peaceful now. You have given me so much. You have made me realize how mundane things can be here, and that allows me to focus on spiritual growth. I am so grateful to You for all the pain You endure for us all. All the criticism, all the skepticism, all the suffering You must take for our sake. Thank You, Beloved Master. You give us so much understanding through Your teachings and meditation. Now my daughter is school-aged. She attends a Christian school, and while I do love learning about the Bible and Jesus, they do not talk about other Masters, and do not promote veganism. They have even made my daughter feel uncomfortable about being vegan. I know we all have our crosses to bear, and she may need to deal with this and just pray and lead by example on her veganism. However, I want to ask You if You would give Your Blessing for me to start a private school called the Supreme Master Ching Hai School where we can openly, without hesitation, share Your teachings, lectures and promote veganism. As a mother, the greatest gift I could give my daughter is the truth to connect with God. I understand I can do this after school as well, but imagine if children could come together on school projects to write papers that could be sent to congressmen and women on veganism/government subsidies, or if they did more community projects together as a school to help the poor and sick with vegan foods. Yes, as individuals, we can accomplish something, but perhaps together, we can accomplish more. The school could also allow for online classes so parents around the country could join in. I have already looked into starting a private school for years and know I am capable of doing it, but only if Master agrees and gives Her blessings. Thank You again for everything You do. I hope we can do more for children who are the future of our planet. Thank You, Master! Love and gratitude always, Elizabeth from the United States Determined Elizabeth, It is uplifting to read of your triumph over the obstacles encountered after becoming an initiate and the rewards gained from your meditation practice. We also rejoice with you reading Master's following answer: “Enthusiastic Elizabeth, yes, we do still have many challenges to face in this physical, material world, but just remember it is all an illusion. You have the tools with initiation, the Divine energy of God, and support of so many Heavenly and Cosmic Beings, to do much good work in existing schools, so it can be more widespread, informing them of the many benefits of a vegan diet. There is free promotional material available to download, such as the Alternative Living flyer from al.godsdirectcontact.org, and some schools in the world now serve vegan meals. Many of The Lord Jesus’ teachings are misinterpreted. You can write to your daughter’s school with some words from the Bible, that I have mentioned over the years, or search them yourself, such as, “Be you not among meat eaters and wine drinkers,” etc. Please do go out and promote the vegan diet and lifestyle in your community; this is just what we need right now, people such as yourself with vibrant, positive energy helping others to see the light and become vegan. You have many wonderful ideas and know Master Power will be walking alongside you. My unconditional Love and support are with you always. Meditate well and trust your inner Master to guide you. May Heaven bless your noble path, and may you and the bright American people prosper and know fulfillment.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartlineThank you for your presence on Noteworthy News. May you always be protected by Heaven’s munificent love.

In today’s news, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai presents the Shining World Compassion Award to a rescuer of hundreds of animals from conflict zones, report warns of catastrophic impacts of 3 degree Celsius global warming in Australia, study supports effectiveness of mRNA vaccines among United States frontline workers, largest ever ancient city discovered in Egypt, dedicated blood donor in United States helped save 3,000 lives, Belgian company launches new vegan creamy sauces, and Japanese island community works to save vanishing bird species. In Shining World Compassion Award News from Austria… Dr. Amir Khalil is a veterinarian and Head of Mission for Four Paws International, an Austria-headquartered non-profit that is itself a Shining World Compassion Award laureate. The Four Paws team has rescued hundreds of animals, including zoo captives, from conflict zones, while supporting many more in countries with political unrest. The team thoughtfully plans an entry and exit strategy, including how to feed and give medical care to the rescued on the way out. The precious animals are then taken to a sanctuary where they can regain their health under the supervision of a qualified and loving team. “I remember the mission in Mosul in Iraq 2017, when the last surviving [zoo] animals, it was one lion and one bear. And these animals really were special animals for me because we were stuck there in Iraq for about nine days at the border. Everyone from the army tried to stop us from going out. We were sleeping in the same truck, so with a lion and a bear. You hear the grenade, you hear the airstrike, you hear the bomb. And when we found the way to take them out by a special way, I was really asking them, ‘Please cooperate with us. Don’t make any noise when you pass over 13 checkpoints inside Iraq at this time.’ And it was a wonder, because the animals were really cooperating. They were very quiet, they didn’t make any noise. It was a lot of similarities between them and me at first. We were both dirty. I didn’t also take a shower for nine days. And I remember, when we released the bear Lula in a sanctuary in Jordan, the first thing she did, she went to eat and she went to swim. And at this moment I remembered, I have to take a shower like the bear.” Touched by his life-saving work, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai tearfully presented Dr. Amir Khalil the Shining World Compassion Award, plus “a US$20,000 humble contribution to Four Paws International towards their noble work.” Our Association members in Vienna, Austria, were honored to deliver the Award letter, crystalline plaque, Master’s financial gift as well as Her publications and DVDs to Dr. Khalil. “This Award is presented in recognition of your courageous, heroic acts of love, risking your own life to enter dangerous areas to save neglected animals. Your exemplary acts of nobility are testament of the saintly souls born to uplift humanity.” “Truly for me, it’s a great honor and it’s noble to get such an Award. Truly, I am so proud to have such an Award. It’s not only for me, it’s for all the colleagues and the team who support me in such missions and such work. I do only a small part of such missions. I want to thank the Supreme Master Ching Hai for the trust and for this great, great, great Award. It’s not only the money and the words, it means so much for me as a person. And I want also to say that this will give me a lot of motivation to do more work in the future, to rescue more animals, and to be the voice for the voiceless animals in conflict zones, in war zones, and that me and my team we’ll do our best. Thank You so much for this trust and I’m so honored to have such an Award. Thank You.” Congratulations, Dr. Amir Khalil and the devoted Four Paws International team. We applaud your brave and caring work. May you and all involved be granted love and blessings for all of your lives, in Divine grace and protection. For the full presentation of the Shining World Compassion Award to Dr. Amir Khalil, please tune in to our Shining World Awards program at a later date. Severe consequences of global warming feared for Australia. The Australian Academy of Science has warned the nation of the grave impacts of a global temperature rise of 3 degrees Celsius or more by 2100 compared to pre-industrial times. According to the report, if worldwide mitigation efforts remain inadequate, this would lead to catastrophic damages to Australia’s ecosystems, agriculture, cities and health systems. To avoid the worst scenario, global warming must be stopped well below 2 degrees Celsius, which requires countries to rapidly reduce carbon emissions and achieve climate neutrality by 2050. The Australian government was urged to strengthen efforts to move towards net zero emissions within 10 to 20 years through such actions as large-scale afforestation and increasing green energy production. Many thanks, the Australian Academy of Science. In Heaven’s wisdom, may all nations decisively implement strong measures to save our planet, starting with the most urgent and necessary vegan food system. Up next, study confirms effectiveness of mRNA vaccines among ##United States frontline workers. We’ll just give thanks to the semiconductor manufacturing technicians, who operate the specialized equipment needed to manufacture silicon wafers for computers and other electronic devices. When we return, more encouraging news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television! Hi there, I’m Miska the vegan Alaskan Malamute! The secret of my cheerful attitude is the vegan lifestyle. It’s a noble choice. I never regret. You’d surely like to be like me, so what are you waiting for, go vegan today! Here is a tip for you when you grocery shop during this pandemic. Try to remember to be efficient so that you can quickly go in and out of the store. This will help to reduce your exposure and contact with others. Now is not the time for us to browse the aisles to leisurely pass the time. We can find other ways to enjoy ourselves safely. Lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet. For all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. And thank you for watching. Now, the weather around the world. COVID-19 vaccines demonstrate high efficacy among United States frontline workers. A real-world study by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has revealed that messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines, such as those produced by Pfizer and Moderna, reduced the risk of infection by 90% two weeks after the second dose. The research also showed that even two weeks after the first dose, they were 80% effective. The study was conducted on nearly 4,000 frontline and essential workers, such as health care personnel, police, firefighters and teachers. Those without symptoms were also tested and counted in the calculation. Our appreciation, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, for your study. May we all take extra careful measures to protect one another as well as prevent future pandemics by being vegan, in the guidance of the Providence. Egyptian archaeologists uncover largest lost city ever found in the nation. Archaeologist and Egyptian history expert Dr. Zahi Hawass together with his team recently discovered the ancient city of Aten under the sand, 500 kilometers south of Egypt’s capital, Cairo. Referred to as “the lost golden city,” Aten was ruled by the great pharaoh Amenhotep III around 3,300 years ago. The well-preserved ruins feature the walls of buildings and rooms containing colored pottery, jewelry, and even tools left behind “as if it were yesterday.” So far, many neighborhoods have been unearthed, which include a residential area, bakery and administrative district. The city most likely also has tombs holding priceless artifacts. Such impressive findings, Dr. Zahi Hawass and your team. As we imagine the world of our human ancestors millennia ago, may we also reflect on our own lives today and pray for Divine protection. Hero helps save thousands of lives by donating his plasma and platelets for 37 years. Sixty-year-young Marcos Perez of San Antonio, Texas, United States, was recognized by the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center for his remarkable total contribution of 120 gallons (454 liters) of platelets. Dubbed an “All-Star” Blood Donor, Mr. Perez had received a life-saving blood transfusion himself after being born prematurely. The grateful recipient decided to pay it forward as soon as he was old enough, and for 37 years has been showing up twice a month at the blood center. With each of his 960-plus donations helping about three people, he has touched nearly 3,000 lives! Mr. Perez remarked, “That one donation gave me 60 years of life. It takes all of us to make this world a better place.” A round of applause for your fantastic dedication, Marcos Perez. May God shield you and your family as you continue helping others. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Happily present the Shining World Compassionate Hero Award to Marcos Perez for your caring commitment, with much appreciation and love, in Heaven’s abundant blessings.” Coming up, Belgian company launches four new vegan creamy sauces. We’ll just take a moment to be grateful to the power of group meditation that encourages us to practice spiritually to connect with our higher Self. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Wonderful News for a Friendly World. Belgian startup releases vegan creamy sauces. In addition to their current offerings of organic cashew-based vegan cheese spreads, plant-based business Pa’lais has introduced four new creamy sauces with the flavors of Alfredo, Bechamel, Nature and Shiitake. The founders of the company are vegan entrepreneur Laurent Jadot and Kevin Storms, a plant-based cuisine chef. Apart from providing new products for vegans and those with lactose intolerance, the goal is to help people in general adopt a more wholesome and sustainable diet. Recently, Pa’lais has made an eco-friendly switch to using only fully recyclable packaging. The new sauces are offered at Bio-Planet and Delhaize supermarkets, plus organic shops in Belgium, as well as in Germany and Switzerland, with plans to expand across Europe. What mouthwatering news! Thank you, Pa’lais, Laurent Jadot and Kevin Storms. In Celestial bliss, may the compassionate, health-radiating lifestyle become the new norm enjoyed worldwide. Japanese residents determined to save rare bird. Experts and committed local citizens in the Ogasawara island chain south of Japan’s capital Tokyo have joined to help the vulnerable Ogasawara greenfinch survive. Encountered only around the Hahajima and Minami-Iwoto islands, the unique species has a current population of 100 compared to 200 over ten years ago. The declining numbers place the tiny feathered creature in the Endangered Class IA category, which has the highest risk of extinction. To raise their survival chances from predators, diseases and car accidents, the plans to increase the population include raising the birds in captivity and then releasing them. Our accolades, dedicated experts and residents. May the cheerful Ogasawara greenfinch continue to beautify the islands through the generations, in Heaven’s rejuvenating spirit. Let’s bring a little fun into our lives with the joke of the day. This one is called, “Contentment.” “I am going out for three-four hours. Do you want anything?”“Nope, that’s enough.”And now we have a heartline from Eduardo in the Republic of Peru: When I was a child, my parents used to take me to the circus, and I liked the beautiful tigers. In the intermission, I would go see their cages, and I started to hate circuses. I couldn't do much about it at my age, but while growing up, my children never went to the circus, and they are vegan. Still, I couldn't do much. Now that I meditate and cry when I watch this program on Supreme Master Television, I feel that my love is very strong, and my sadness and frustration have become a huge force that actually works to save tigers and animals in the world. I’m thankful for this power that Supreme Master Ching Hai gave us to be able to change the world with the energy of God's Love. Eduardo from the Republic of Peru Sensitive Eduardo, Thank you for writing to us. The tigers are indeed majestic animals, and it is easy to see why you were inspired by them as a child. It is wonderful you are raising your children as vegans; that decision alone has saved many animal lives. By sharing the good news of the vegan diet with others, you can help to save many more. May Heaven’s Love forever bathe you, your loved ones and the gentle Peruvian people, Supreme Master TV team P.S. Here is some extra happiness from Master: “Caring Eduardo, yes, your meditation and being vegan do make a difference for the safety and well-being of our dear animal co-inhabitants on this Earth! In today’s news, Japan assists Afghan refugees in Iran, wildlife trade severely affects species’ population, Australian city takes to sidewalk gardening, Russia to showcase one of the world’s first hybrid electric planes, Arizona police officers rescue driver trapped in burning car, fashion houses announce animal fur-free policies, and Californian condor set to return to the Pacific Northwest in the United States. Japan aids Afghan refugees in Iran. Japan has donated US$1.25 million to the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to allow for crucial help needed by the Afghan refugee community located in Iran. The funding will be used to provide access to healthcare and education, vocational and technical training as well as support for small businesses and workshops. This assistance will in return make positive contributions to the economy of the generous Iranian hosts, as the telling example of 20-year-old Miss Roya demonstrated. She has sewn hygiene masks in a UNHCR-established workshop to contribute towards the fight against the pandemic in the country. Japan is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Generosity, and Animal Protection laureate. The United Nations is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership Award for Humanitarianism and two Shining World Leadership for Lives-Saving-Hero Awards. Our gratitude Japan, United Nations Refugee Agency and Iran, for continuing your considerate help for the Afghan brothers and sisters! May Heaven bless all to thrive in peace, safety and prosperity. Wildlife trade causing alarming decline in species. After an analysis of 31 studies, a team of international researchers led by The University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom found that the global wildlife trade has led to a 62% reduction in species abundance, with about 100 million animals and plants being trafficked each year. Endangered species had an even larger decrease at 81%, resulting in an almost complete disappearance of certain rare animals such as spider monkeys and Baird’s tapir. Most of the studies reviewed the African tropics and South America, while some looked at Asia and North America, and found that protected areas offered only 15% additional advantage in comparison to regions that were not safeguarded. Our appreciation, The University of Sheffield and participating researchers, for this important report. In the grace of the Providence, may a vegan world soon arise as we bequeath animals their rightful and safe homes on a caring planet. Up next, Australian city takes to sidewalk gardening, increasing friendships. We’ll just take a moment to thank the technicians that help to build and fine-tune our valuable computer servers by assembling different hardware parts and installing related software for their reliable function. This smart gardening activity has been welcomed by most councils and is helping to bring people together into a more tightly-knit community. The friendly neighbors share their produce with each other and cordially engage passersby, while also planting trees and shrubs to attract bees, birds and other animals, thus enhancing the area’s biodiversity. In today’s news, Mongolia brings primary health care to vulnerable communities, study suggests climate change was key in transmitting coronavirus from animals, Australian scientists link sea cucumbers to ocean and reef health, survey shows Americans grew more fond of vegetables during the pandemic, Buddhist monk saved from flooding cave in Thailand, English celebrity’s vegan food brand expands to the Middle East, and smart dog in Canada rescues caregiver in time of medical emergency.Mongolia, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion recipient, delivers primary healthcare services to disadvantaged and remote communities via mobile clinics. In operation since 2016, the M-Health government project is working towards achieving universal health coverage in Mongolia. This program encompasses health promotion interventions and early diagnosis and timely treatment of diseases for nomadic and migrant populations. The World Health Organization and other stakeholders that are part of the Universal Health Coverage Partnership are assisting Mongolia in leveraging mobile health technologies for the nation’s primary health care approach to better wellness. Home visits and mobile clinics help those in rural and other medically underserved areas get healthcare. Thank you, World Health Organization and the Universal Health Coverage Partnership, for working to improve public health in Mongolia. Well done, Mongolia, for your brilliant way of bringing health services to your fine people. May your caring citizens, including those in vulnerable communities, enjoy the very best of wellness, in Buddha’s infinite love. Research shows link between bats, global warming and coronaviruses. A study by scientists from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, and the University of Hawaii, USA, assesses that climate change “may have been an important factor” in the transmission of the SARS-CoV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 viruses from animals to humans, which respectively resulted in the deadly SARS and COVID-19 pandemics. Significantly, the analysis estimated that over the last century, global warming led to 40 bat species relocating to China’s Yunnan Province and parts of Myanmar and Laos, while carrying approximately 100 coronavirus strains, and are the likely source of the SARS and COVID-19 viruses. The authors urge for “decisive climate change mitigation” to reduce the risk of such zoonotic spill-overs. Our genuine thanks, University of Cambridge and University of Hawaii scientists for these eye-opening findings. In Divine wisdom, may humanity urgently transition to a vegan world, the most effective panacea for addressing both zoonotic pandemics and global warming. Up next on Noteworthy News, study measures the sea cucumber’s importance to coral reefs. We’ll just take some time now to thank statistical analysts who examine large amounts of data every day for decision-making in different areas of industry or government. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more valuable news. Hi, happy friends, it’s Lana the vegan Large Tolype Moth! You can feel great like I do with a loving, plants-only diet. Prove it to yourself by being vegan! Here’s a tip on how to keep your dog well hydrated during long walks. Dogs overheat easily and when they do, they quickly become dehydrated as they sweat by panting. So if the weather is warm and you’re out on a longer walk for over half an hour, be prepared and bring enough water for your precious friend. You can pour the water into the bottle’s lid, your own container, or use a collapsible water bottle made just for canine companions. Carry the water in a backpack or a clip to make walks together easier. Big love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants! And thank you for tuning in. Now the weather around our beautiful globe. Australian researchers measure the importance of sea cucumbers to coral reefs. A team of researchers from James Cook, Macquarie and Newcastle universities, all in Australia, were able to quantify how much sea cucumbers help protect the ocean and coral reefs from acidification and climate change. By using drone and satellite technology, the scientists were able to estimate that three million sea cucumbers live on the country’s Heron Island Reef, producing the equivalent of five Eiffel Towers in weight worth of reef fertilizer each year! The sea cucumbers’ byproduct releases nitrogen, which assists corals and algae to grow, and increase calcium in the water, which helps to alkalize the acidic ocean. Also, their activities aerate the sediment, creating a healthy environment for fellow animals. Thank you, Australian researchers, for telling us about the wonderful, humble sea cucumber. In Heaven’s grace, may every animal be cherished for their vital place on the planet. Quarantine awakens a love for vegetables in people. A recent survey in the United States by market research company OnePoll has discovered that 75% of respondents referred to themselves as “recently reformed veggie lovers,” with 39% attributing their newfound love to their time in quarantine. Almost one in five people stated that they only just recently tried broccoli for the first time, which has now become a top favorite, along with spinach, asparagus, avocados and cauliflower. Thank you, OnePoll, for the interesting survey, and way to go, the American people, for your healthy shift towards plant-based foods. In Celestial support, may wholesome veggies soon become a staple in all meals as humanity changes to the compassionate lifestyle. Rescuers save Buddhist monk from flooded cave in Thailand. Respected Phra Ajarn Manas, age 46, was on an annual pilgrimage to the Phra Sai Ngam cave to meditate when an unseasonable storm affected the region. Residents knew of his location, so they alerted the authorities, who sent a team of seventeen professional divers. However, due to the rising water, it was not possible to bring him out immediately. The Reverend spent four days in the cave without any food or contact by phone before he was reached and fitted with a diving mask to make the required 12-meter swim underwater to safety. He then received medical treatment in an ambulance and appeared to be well despite the ordeal. Our gratitude, expert rescuers, for your perseverance in a tough situation. May the Buddha continue to bless Respected Manas as this remarkable story encourages us to emulate his life of faith. Coming up, English TV personality’s vegan brand expands to the Middle East. Dog gets help for caregiver in time of medical emergency. Haley Moore was taking a walk with her dog companion Clover, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, when she suddenly had a seizure and fell to the curb. A neighbor’s security camera witnessed Clover responding immediately by checking on her caregiver and staying by her side. As a truck approached, Clover then freed her leash from Haley’s grasp and went into the middle of the road to block the truck’s path. The driver got out of the vehicle to help, while Clover eventually caught the attention of a second neighbor, who also stopped to render aid. At this point, the devoted canine even rushed back home in order to call the family to the scene. Fortunately, when they arrived, Haley was already being treated by paramedics. God bless you, loving Clover, for your smart and incredible life-saving actions. Wishing you and your human family peace and good health, in Divine radiance. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gladly present the Shining World Hero Award to Clover, plus US$2,000 for vegan treats, with lots of love, hugs and happy cheers. May you and your caregiver be protected by Heavens always.” Let’s have a laugh together listening to the joke of the day entitled, “Coloring.” Kim, a kindergarten teacher, handed out one day a coloring page to her class. On it was a picture of a duck holding an umbrella. The teacher told her class to color the duck in yellow and the umbrella green, however, Bobby colored the duck in red. After seeing this, the teacher asked him: “Bobby, how many times have you seen a red duck?” “Well, just as many times as I’ve seen a duck holding an umbrella.” And now we have a heartline from Mitra in Iran: Greetings my Dear Madam Ching Hai, You know how much I love You, and I write this letter with tearful eyes. Report: Today, I went to the animal clinic to bathe my boy cat. Suddenly, I noticed the cries of a big black Scottish cat. She was in a little, cold, tiny prison and with her big yellow eyes; she was staring at me while crying. On the top of that prison, there was a skinny, hairy and gray cat with her little white kitten also in a prison, and they were staring at me. On the left, two little puppies were in another prison. I showed Your photo to the black cat, and her crying stopped. She looked for a while and lowered her head down. The caged gray cat and her kitten also stared at the photo. Then, there was silence, and my heart was stressed with pain; I felt how it is to be imprisoned. Madam, please look after all the animals who are in captivity and offered for sale, all the poor animals who are imprisoned. I couldn’t do much except to meditate and pray. I wished I could play the audio of Your voice there, but I could not do that. I hope the world will be free from the prison of oppression. Mitra from Iran Kind Mitra, Thank you for your lines. Our hearts, like yours, go out to all the suffering animals on our planet. Please participate and encourage others to join in prayer for World Vegan with Supreme Master Ching Hai every day so that we may support Master in Her quest to end all cruelty to our animal friends. Master replied to you: “Earnest Mitra, I too have teary eyes reading your words. I feel the pain of the animals daily. It breaks my heart and urges me on to do more. We need help to speed up the change to a vegan paradise on Earth. Remember to pray for a global transformation, and let’s all do our utmost to spread the vegan way. Together we are a mighty force. May Allah endlessly bless you and the strong Iranian people.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. In the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association Relief News from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea… With borders closed due to the coronavirus pandemic and crops destroyed due to the intense flooding in the summer of 2020, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has been experiencing severe food shortages. The country’s Supreme Leader, Dear Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, also voiced his grave concern regarding the “worst-ever situation.” Following our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai’s earnest request to provide ongoing assistance for the vulnerable people in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, our Association’s relief team from China organized and delivered food and other necessities. On April 9, 2021, the team held a formal handover of the aid with the Chinese and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Chambers of Commerce, who had facilitated by waiving the domestic transportation, customs and other fees. Notably, 300 tons of rice and 200,000 medical face masks were donated, with the total cost of supplies nearing US$223,000. The funds were contributed by several thousands of our Association members from China, the Republic of Korea, and Taiwan, also known as Formosa. Our sincere appreciation, all involved in this relief mission, including the Chinese and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Chambers of Commerce. We are also grateful to Supreme Master Ching Hai for Her boundless love and concern, and to our Association’s relief team and supporting members. With deep sympathy, we pray for our Korean brothers and sisters, and that in Heaven’s mercy, our world will overcome this time of hardship by turning to the benevolent vegan lifestyle. Japan supports education for children in Yemen. The government of Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Generosity, and Animal Protection laureate, has donated US$4 million to UNICEF to assist at least 135,000 children of Yemen in receiving education over the next three years. With the funding, the children will be given school bags and 3,000 teachers will be trained to deliver quality education in a safe learning environment. Furthermore, awareness will be raised via a media campaign emphasizing the importance of education, staying in school and good hygiene. Since 2016, Japan has contributed over US$39 million for the education of Yemeni children. Our sincere gratitude, the government of Japan and UNICEF, for your ongoing efforts in ensuring a brighter future for the children in Yemen. In Heaven’s mercy, may all young people be blessed with peaceful and prosperous tomorrows. United States scientists discover that most of the water that used to be on Mars may still be there. Researchers from the California Institute of Technology and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA’s) Jet Propulsion Laboratory have calculated that between 30 and 99% of the water that once covered the surface of Mars may be contained within hydrated minerals in the planet’s crust. They determined this by using a range of data from satellites, telescopes, meteorites and samples from rovers. Previously, it was thought that the water was all lost into space, but this theory was proven to be not possible due to the ratio of two different hydrogen isotopes in the Martian atmosphere. Exciting news, California Institute of Technology and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. May your research into the cosmos lead to peaceful coexistence with all beings here and beyond the Earth, in Celestial upliftment. Up next, Singapore scientists develop diagnostic test for COVID-19 variants. We’ll just take a moment to thank the special education classroom aides who assist certified staffs or special education teachers in providing instructional skills to students with disabilities and special needs. Please stay with us for more worthwhile news on Supreme Master Television. Hallo, brilliant viewers, I am Sacha the vegan Siberian Cat! I believe you have a compassionate heart. Can you help me by going vegan? Today, I have a tip on how to make your own nut butter. You will only need a few ingredients – the nut or seed of your preference and a small amount of cooking oil and salt. Add approximately one tablespoon of oil for each pound of nuts or seeds and use a food processor to blend it together until the mixture is smooth and creamy. You can sprinkle in some salt to taste. If it’s too dry, add in a little bit more oil. Melted coconut oil works great with this recipe. For a healthier option, you can soak and dehydrate the nuts or seeds prior to blending them. You could also roast them beforehand if you would like. To add more flavor, try incorporating spices and sweeteners or use a variety of different nuts and seeds. Thank you for watching, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Here’s the weather around the world! Singapore scientists develop test to detect COVID-19 virus and its mutations. A team of researchers led by the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore has created a diagnostic test that can detect the COVID-19 virus mutations. The Variant Nucleotide Guard (VaNGuard) test uses the gene-editing tool CRISPR to target and separate specific segments of the SARS-CoV-2 genetic material from its viral genome as well as segments of a molecule with fluorescent dye, causing it to glow in the presence of the virus. The test recognizes genome sequences unique to the virus that are found in SARS-CoV-2 variants, allowing it to detect them even after it mutates. Work is being done by the team to further refine and obtain regulatory approval for the test, which has been integrated into a specially treated paper strip that shows two strong bands in the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus or its variant. As the test can yield results in 30 minutes, Associate professor Dr. Tan Meng How of NTU hopes it could be deployed in settings where quickly confirming COVID-19 status is vital. Our earnest gratefulness, Nanyang Technological University, Dr. Tan Meng How and team, for your life-saving research. We pray humanity quickly awakens to the compassionate vegan diet to lessen the adverse impact of the pandemic, in Heaven’s love. Scientists adopt new way of using nanomaterials to identify and enrich skeletal stem cells. A team of researchers at the University of Southampton, in the United Kingdom, have found a technique of using specially designed gold nanoparticles coated with strands of DNA to find human bone-healing stem cells. These cells can be enriched to help treat broken or fractured bones. Dr. Richard Oreffo, Professor of Musculoskeletal Science and one of the heads of the study, said, “Skeletal stem cell based therapies offer some of the most exciting and promising areas for bone disease treatment and bone regenerative medicine for an aging population.” This research was published in the internationally recognized multidisciplinary journal, ACS Nano. Kudos, University of Southampton scientists, for your remarkable discovery. May more such advancements lead to increased vitality for all those in need of physical healing, in God’s radiance. Former hospital head has dedicated 17 years to caring for AIDS orphans. In 2004, Dr. Guo Xiaoping, who was then an infectious disease specialist and the dean of Linfen Third People’s Hospital in Shanxi Province, China, set up a “caring classroom” for children who were born with the AIDS virus and became orphans when they lost their parents to the disease. As the number of orphans increased, Dr. Guo founded the Linfen Red Ribbon School in 2006 to provide them with free education, medical treatment, and accommodation. Currently, the school is tending to approximately 30 children living with AIDS. 58-year-old Dr. Guo, who quit his hospital dean job in 2015 to fully dedicate himself to the young patients, believes that “every life matters,” and wishes that one day there will be no more AIDS orphans. Our tearful gratitude and Divine blessings, Dr. Guo Xiaoping. In the abiding munificence of the Providence, may all precious children be graced with a nurturing world filled with happiness and love. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Dr. Guo Xiaoping and US$10,000 as a humble contribution toward his noble work, with much respect and appreciation. Adopted calf makes Australian headlines for his playful personality. Edward Foy of Broome in Western Australia was driving along the highway when he sadly spotted a newborn Brahman calf beside his mother, who had tragically passed away from an accident. Feeling like it was the right thing to do, Mr. Foy rescued the orphan calf, now named Peanut, and is raising him alongside his family of six canines, chickens, pigs and peacocks. Going for regular walks at the local beach with the dogs, who love him, Peanut has become a popular member of the community and made the Australian news for his playful, puppy-like character. We are all smiles! Our heartfelt thanks, Edward Foy, for taking in dear Peanut and sharing his wonderful personality with the world. May more and more people soon recognize and cherish the delightful individuality of all bovines, in God’s benevolence. We laughed a lot with this joke, hope you will too. It’s entitled, “Record Holder.” Back at his high school for the tenth reunion, Dave met his old coach. Walking through the gym, they came upon a plaque on which Dave was still listed as the record holder for the longest softball throw. Noticing his surprise, the coach said: “That record will stand forever.” While Dave was about to make some modest disclaimer that records exist to be broken, the coach added: “We stopped holding that event years ago.” And now we have a heartline from Linh Hoa in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam: Dear Master, I would like to give You this painting, in which I drew and decorated You. In today’s news, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai presents Shining World Caring Award to Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary in New South Wales, Australia, many coronavirus patients report long-term symptoms from the illness as health care providers look for treatments, American physicist proposes method to travel faster than light, Saudi Arabia launches ambitious green initiative, coast guards team up with rescue lifeboats to save Labrador from freezing North Sea near a United Kingdom beach, grocery store chain in Hong Kong stops selling fish thanks to new documentary, and bison are reintroduced to native lands in United States. In Shining World Caring Award News from Australia … Created in 2004, Sleepy Burrows is a sanctuary home for a number of wombats and other animals who are sick, injured, orphaned and undergoing rehabilitation. The Founder of Sleepy Burrows, Donna Stepan, and a small team of volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that the wombats are properly cared for at all times of the day and night. The team supports them in developing the necessary skills to be released into the wild. Public education campaigns are also carried out, and the sanctuary also hosts visits where people learn about the needs and challenges of these lovable creatures. “People don’t know a lot about wombats in terms of their size and where they’re at mentally and where they should be. They’ll see what is in fact a juvenile, teenage wombat, and think, ‘Oh, it’s a big wombat, it’s an adult.’ No! So, when I do teach people or if people come here, we have crèche, we have Wombat Primary School Number One, and Two which is for toddlers, badly behaving toddlers. And then once they start to thrive in that area, they move up into Wombat High School. And they graduate into Wombat University and I would imagine Honors. Your Honors Degree would be the soft release area where that’s their final stage before they get released.” For being a haven to these iconic animals, our Beneficent Supreme Master Ching Hai “thankfully present Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary the Shining World Caring Award plus US$15,000, with heartfelt love, praises and gratitude. Our Association members in Marulan, Australia delightedly presented the Award letter, crystalline plaque, Master’s financial gift, and Her uplifting publications and DVDs to Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary. “Australia’s largest bare-nosed wombat sanctuary, Sleepy Burrows, is ‘a place where wombats dominate and humans accommodate,’ highlighting the selfless dedication underpinning your calling. Your 18 to 20-hour days, caring for up to 75 distressed furry friends, reflect the love and commitment that saw you recognized with the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2017, for services to animal welfare.” In gratitude for such kind support of her work, Ms. Stepan conveyed the following words to Supreme Master Ching Hai. “Thank You for seeing how precious this work is and how incredible these animals are, that they’re worth the work, they’re worth preserving, and that they all form part of something incredible that a lot more people need to see.” Ms. Stepan was also overjoyed to receive the financial gift from Supreme Master Ching Hai. “Thank You so much. It’s allowed us to be able to finish the Wombat Hospital studio which we’ve been raising funds for, for close to two years, and that has been the finishing touch. We’ve now been able to order it, and just doing final council plans. So, that is huge. That’s massive. To be able to have a place where we can actually bring them in to be treated, be kept secure, whether it’s burn victims, whether it’s pneumonia, whether it’s mange, it’s going to be incredible. So... that is invaluable to the sanctuary! And after 15 years, it’s now a reality. So, thank You so much.” We congratulate you, Donna Stepan and all of the remarkable people involved in helping to run Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary. May you all be forever blessed, in God’s grace. For the full presentation of the Shining World Caring Award to Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary, please tune in to our Shining World Awards program at a later date. COVID patients often suffer long-term effects. A study that looked at over 1,700 hospitalized coronavirus patients in Wuhan, China, revealed that 76% continued to be affected by at least one symptom half a year after the onset of the illness. The long-term impacts include fatigue, loss of taste and smell, chest pain, shortness of breath and depression, among others. In New York City, United States, a Center for Post-COVID Care was established. It has already seen and cared for more than 1,600 patients, while the waiting list for an appointment is months long. Its medical director, Dr. Zijian Chen, noted that the Post-COVID Syndrome can affect men, women, young and old alike and even those with mild initial symptoms. Scientists and health care providers continue research to find remedies for the condition. Our gratitude, all researchers and medical professionals involved. In Heaven’s mercy, we pray for the afflicted. May we all adopt the vegan lifestyle to safeguard our health. Up next, American physicist proposes method to travel faster than light. We’ll just take a little time to thank the payroll and timekeeping clerks, who maintain employees’ work data to ensure that the paychecks are given on time. We’ll return with more assuring news after these messages here on Supreme Master Television. Hallo, cheerful friends, how are you today? I’m Heather the vegan Harp Seal! Rather than throwing away small crayon pieces, you can recycle them and make new multi-colored crayons. You will need several clean tin cans and empty prescription bottles or small plastic containers that film comes in. First, place the crayon pieces, one color at a time, in each tin can. In a small pot with a low level of boiling water, heat up one tin can. As soon as this batch has melted, carefully and quickly pour the substance evenly into the bottles and allow them to set. They’ll harden after a few minutes. Then, you can melt and pour in the next color. Use as many colors as you’d like for this rainbow creation that young kids will enjoy! Thank you for your attention. And love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the global weather. Faster-than-light travel found to be possible. Dr. Erik Lentz, a physicist from the United States, has published his proposal on how spaceships could travel faster than the speed of light. His method suggests a kind of engine called a warp drive, using a wave known as a soliton that can move at a higher speed than light. However, his current calculations show that his proposal would require as much energy as is contained in the mass of hundreds of Jupiters, so more research is needed to minimize this amount. Dr. Lentz believes a prototype will be available within a decade. Thus, a round-trip interstellar journey could be made within a human’s lifetime, whereas at sub-light speed, it would take multiple lifetimes to reach some distant destinations. Thank you, Dr. Erik Lentz, for your remarkable paper. May we soon become benevolent enough to wisely handle such awesome technology, in Divine wisdom. Saudi Arabia to reduce carbon emissions and safeguard the environment. Saudi Arabia recently revealed the Saudi Green Initiative, which will help the nation to protect the planet and move towards an Earth-friendly economy. As part of the project, the Kingdom will plant 10 billion trees in a largely desert landscape with extremely limited water resources in the decades ahead, as well as use renewable sources to produce half of their energy by 2030. They have also started the Middle East Green Initiative, which has the goal of planting 40 billion trees across the region in neighboring countries, in what would be the world’s largest reforestation program ever enacted. Saudi Arabia is a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, a Shining World Leadership Award for Peace and a Shining World Leadership for Loving Care Award. Such a grand vision, Saudi Arabia, to re-green your nation and the neighboring Arab states while switching to renewable energy. In Allah’s benediction, may the trees you plant grow with vigor and soon create vibrant landscapes of life. Black Labrador swept out to sea gets rescued. A black Labrador named Shaddah was playing with his ball on the Northumberland Beach in the United Kingdom and chased after it into the frigid North Sea. The rough current carried the canine about 180 meters from the shore, making it hard for him to swim back. Luckily, the local Blyth coast guard notified the Royal National Lifeboat Institution’s (RNLI’s) crew, a non-profit specialized in saving people and animals at sea, of Shaddah’s location. The team rushed to the site and brought the Labrador to safety, where he was soon reunited with his grateful caregiver and was expected to fully recover. Our smiling praises, to the Blyth coast guard and RNLI crew. We are so gladdened to learn about your safe rescue, Shaddah, and wish you many happy years with your human companion, in Heaven’s joy. Coming up, grocery stores in Hong Kong stop selling fish thanks to new documentary. We’ll pause to be thankful for the convenient spell checkers that are integrated into our computer programs and mobile phone apps. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more noble news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Distinguished News for a Kinder World. Grocery stores in Hong Kong stops selling fish after watching “Seaspiracy.” A zero-waste grocery chain called Slowood in Hong Kong has decided to discontinue stocking fish after being prompted by the new documentary “Seaspiracy” produced by vegan filmmaker Kip Andersen. “We are at war with the oceans, and if we win this war, we’re going to lose it all because mankind is not able to live on this planet with a dead sea.” “If you want to address climate change, the first thing you do is protect the ocean. And the solution to that is very simple: Leave it alone.” The film, which was recently released on Netflix, outlines the enormous detrimental impact of the global fishing industry on the oceans and planet, while also exposing the underlying corruption. Slowood stated, “We believe every tiny step counts and hope to join our community to make the world a better place.” A big applause, Slowood, for ceasing the sale of fish to help save lives. In Celestial love, may all stores follow your noble example and remove all animal products from their stock, so that our vital seas and land may once again thrive. Bison returned to historic habitats. The Denver Colorado Parks and Recreation department in the United States has relocated 13 bison to the Cheyenne and Arapaho Nations in Oklahoma and one of these magnificent animals to the Tall Bull Memorial Council in Colorado. They will continue to reintroduce more of them to the region in a program that will last until 2030. It is envisioned that the Native Nations will develop bison herds on their lands. North America used to be the home of 30 million bison at one time, but their numbers sadly declined to 1,000 by the start of the 20th century. Currently, there are approximately 31,000 of them living in the wild in North America. Such heartwarming news, Denver Parks and Recreation and all caring Indigenous Nations involved. May the populations of these majestic animals continue to increase as they bless the land with their peace-filled presence, in Divine protection. Take a walk on the funny side of life with the joke of the day called, “Chess Champion.” “I was thinking to invite my best friend Johnny soon again for dinner. You know, the chess champion.”“Oh, that would be challenging...”“Why? What do you mean?”“If you want to invite him, you must change that checkered-top dining table. Didn’t you see that last time he came for dinner, it took him 20 minutes to pass me the salt and pepper?”“?!”And now we have a heartline from Hua-Erh in Taiwan, also known as Formosa: Beloved Master, You call me “Hua-Erh” inside, and You say Hua-Erh is glorious and radiant. During my daily meditation, I have flown through innumerable Heavenly realms. Today, I picked up a pen and tried to draw them. This is the mushroom in Heaven, colorful, and each of them radiates light. They dance with the wind. When they are ripe, they will fly to the sky. They look so beautiful and happy. I wish Most Beloved Master to be beautiful, happy and flying high every day. Master also gave my mom a name, “Yu-Ai,” meaning giving love to Heaven and Earth. It is a very beautiful and powerful name. I also drew my mom's past life. I’m so happy that I have begun to try to draw. My mom and I will be with Master’s Love forever. Hua-Erh from Taiwan (Formosa) Talented Hua-Erh, It is such a pleasure to view your heavenly drawings and read of your celestial travels and encounters inside with Master. Next is some nourishment for your spirit from Master: “Gifted Hua-Erh, I too am glad you enjoy drawing such special artwork. I do not currently have time for artistic endeavors, so it brings me great pleasure to see these creations. Your sincerity and openness allow us to be together and communicate with great ease in some Higher realms. Much Love to you and your mom, and may you enjoy many happy hours in meditation, exploring the Cosmos and Heavens. Exciting, isn’t it? There is so much to experience and behold. I pray that the Divine blesses the smart Taiwanese (Formosans) with the willingness to all soon be vegan and make peace, so that your island and its inhabitants may know glorious bounty and vibrant well-being.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. In today’s news, textbooks distributed to schools in South Sudan, children may be vulnerable to lasting effects of coronavirus, unidentified bacteria found aboard International Space Station, Australian city to pave street using recycled tires, teenager in United States donates birthday money for kids’ outfits, Hong Kong specialty shop features raw vegan cheese, and new research relates yawning of lions with unity of the pride. Students gain access to precious textbooks. The global fund Education Cannot Wait (ECW) has financed a far-reaching initiative to supply boys and girls in South Sudan with more than a million books. Distribution is being coordinated by Save the Children in collaboration with the Norwegian Refugee Council, Finn Church Aid and the government’s Ministry of General Education and Instruction. The learning materials will be delivered to 3,792 primary and secondary schools in six states. Rama Hansraj, Country Director of Save the Children, commented, “We believe that these 1.12 million textbooks will reduce the high pupil-to-textbook ratio, thereby allowing more children to get access to textbooks.” Our profound appreciation, Education Cannot Wait, Save the Children and all participating agencies. May the bright-eyed youth of South Sudan receive the education they need to realize their full potential, in Heaven’s embrace. Some children continue to suffer from coronavirus symptoms. Although COVID-19 in young people tends to be less severe than in adults, there is increasing evidence that juveniles may be vulnerable to its lasting effects. Teenagers have reported general fatigue, headaches, inability to concentrate as well as impaired mental processing for months after having the disease. At Germans Trias Hospital in Badalona, Spain, a department has been established for treating youngsters with “long COVID.” In partnership with Institut Guttmann, the unit offers a program of physical and respiratory exercises that focus on neurorehabilitation. Approximately 60 patients are currently enrolled, with doctors and parents trusting that the boys and girls will eventually recover. We offer our heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals who are doing their best to counteract the relentless virus. And we pray that everyone on the planet will do their part by going vegan and making peace, in Divine mercy. Up next, unidentified bacteria found aboard International Space Station. We’ll take a moment to thank the structural engineers, who design and oversee construction of buildings, bridges and tunnels to achieve maximum strength and durability. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more brightening news. Good day, elated viewers! I’m Hurley the vegan Zebra. Do you want to know the secret of my inner peace? My vegan lifestyle ensures that no one gets hurt! Here’s a handy tip if you are caring for an older adult who has forgotten how to brush their teeth. Stand on their dominant side – that means on their right side if they are right-handed. As you hold the toothbrush, have them grasp your hand. You will do the brushing, but the placement of their fingers around your wrist will help them to feel that they are doing it themselves. Before you start, put your other hand on the person’s shoulder that is closest to you. Apply gentle downward pressure to create a distraction that will lessen any unease they may feel about the teeth cleaning. Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for tuning in, and now for the weather around the globe. New microorganisms may help grow food on future space flights. Routine checks for bacterial growth inside the International Space Station have uncovered four different species, only one of which has been seen before. The cleanliness of the environment is monitored in places like dining tables, panels in research areas and in the cupola observatory, because microbes that can survive in space may jeopardize the crew and their mission. Fortunately, the three unidentified bacteria appear to be related to Methylobacterium indicum, a strain known to promote plant growth and defend against pathogens. Researchers are intrigued since such novel organisms could make it easier to cultivate crops during trips to Mars. Fascinating news, courageous astronauts and industrious scientists! May you always be protected in your work, in the blessings of the Providence. Experimental pavement technology diverts waste from landfills. Yarra Council, in Victoria, Australia, has received a grant from the state’s Sustainable Infrastructure Fund, which promotes using recycled materials and building a circular economy. The city will construct a center median for Mcilwraith Street in the Princes Hill district that will consist of 70% recycled tires plus salvaged glass and rock. The process not only puts discarded articles and debris to good use, but also yields a road surface that is permeable and retains water. It is expected that adjacent trees and plants will respond to the additional moisture. Victoria has admirably allocated close to US$300 million to support 17 similar infrastructure projects in the state over the next 10 years. Way to go, Yarra and Victoria, for your forward-thinking initiatives! In God’s love, we pray that governments of all sizes will see the wisdom in reusing our planetary resources as much as possible. Generous teenager puts kids’ needs before her own. Jewelyssa Yanes of Phoenix, Arizona, USA, received a sizable sum of money for her quinceañera – the traditional Latino celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday. Instead of keeping it all for herself, the thoughtful young lady felt she wanted to improve others’ lives. She got in touch with the Assistance League of Phoenix, a nonprofit organization that provides new school outfits for underprivileged students. When the adolescent found out it costs US$80 to dress one child, she said, “I want to dress 12 children.” In an interview with ABC15 Arizona television, Ms. Yanes later explained, “I feel like it’s important to have the uniforms and the socks and the clothing and the shoes, just to look presentable.” Heaven bless you, Jewelyssa Yanes, for your self-giving ways. May your donation generate ripples of kindness in the pond of our collective consciousness. Coming up, Hong Kong specialty shop features raw vegan cheese. We will pause for a moment and ask God to help us see a bigger picture and fulfill our life’s purpose. More pleasant news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Engaging News for a Lively World. Plant-based cheese outlet opens in Fragrant Harbor. Raw vegan chef Tina Barrat in Hong Kong says she is on a mission to pay homage to Mother Nature and the talented women from whom she is descended. The former jewelry designer redirected her inventiveness to plant-based food adventures and opened her own restaurant called MA... and The Seeds of Life. Now, the entrepreneur has founded Hong Kong’s first fully vegan cheese shop. Le Fromage features over 20 artisan varieties made from cashews and almonds. The nuts and seeds are soaked, blended and fermented with the same types of bacteria used to make dairy cheeses. Adhering to the principles of raw veganism, the temperature of the ingredients is kept below 45 degrees Celsius throughout the process. Bravo, Chef Tina Barrat! We pray that many people will be sharing your belief in the goodness of the Earth after tasting your culinary creations, in Celestial upliftment. Scientists study significance of a lion’s yawn. Ethologists from the University of Pisa in Italy were visiting South Africa and noticed how often the big cats open their mouths wide and inhale deeply. So they monitored a pride for four months, recording videos to analyze the animals’ behavior. The team calculated that a lion who sees another member of the group yawn is 139 times as likely to copy that action within the next three minutes. Additionally, if the original yawner proceeds to get up and walk around, the second feline is 11 times as likely to imitate those movements than lions who did not catch a yawn. This research is the first known attempt to link infectious yawning with social cohesion. We are impressed by your findings, Italian ethologists, and offer our appreciation. In Divine compassion, may humans rediscover their own unity and forsake all killing before it is too late. This joke is guaranteed to be funny. But if you won’t laugh, well, then you won’t! It’s called, “True Confession.” On a Friday night, Daisy cooked a fancy dinner for her husband and herself. While they were enjoying their meal, Daisy commented: "Honey, when we were first married, you used to take the smaller piece of vegan steak and give me the larger one. But now you do the opposite. It makes me wonder if you feel less love for me." "Oh darling, that’s not the case at all. It’s simply that you cook so much better now!" And now we have a heartline from Devansh in India: WE WANT NEITHER RICHES NOR FAME BUT ONLY YOUR KIND BLESSINGS FOR US TO BE FREE FROM THIS ETERNAL CYCLE OF LIFE AND DEATH. LONG LIVE OUR BELOVED MASTER. Devansh from India Caring Devansh, Thank you for your profound lines. The following note is from Master to you: “Blessed Devansh, your simple message is loving fuel for my tender heart. Initiation is a rare gift, and understanding the true meaning thereof is an even greater gift. Meditate diligently and follow the precepts, and you will arrive in Heaven. May God’s Light shine brightly on you and sacred India. Embracing you with Love.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Determination to Save the Animals, May 9, 2021

Host: On May 9, 2021, during a work-related phone call with the Supreme Master Television team members, our Most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai, once again, lovingly shared Her deep care and ceaseless concern for the world, especially our gentle and intelligent brethren, the animals. I need to concentrate. I need to keep all my strength in order to help the world, to help the animals. (Yes, Master.) Because my heart aches every day for them. Sometimes I have no more tears to cry. I just sit and hold my head on the table. Then my dogs would come if they were there. I owe my life to all the animals, the wild animals. They keep telling me all day. And then even the bees, they come out at night to warn me. (Wow.) I’m lucky that the animals warn me, because the bee just goes straight to my face and stands still like a helicopter, stands in mid-air and tells me that, in the dark, midnight already. (Oh, wow.) Right now, I need to concentrate on more meditation. At least it helps to have peace. But I want more peace for the animals, not just humans. You see, I can trust the animals. (Yes, Master.) Even the wild animals that have nothing to do with me. (Yes.) I fed some squirrels and skunks and all that, but not because of that. Maybe because of that also, they are grateful. Just some morsel of food and some fruit, vegetables, and they are indebted already. They want to give their life to you. Even the bees, they never fly in the dark. (Yes, Master.) A big bee came right into my face and stood still there and told me things. And then flew away. There’s nothing the bee can want from me at that time, midnight. I did leave water outside for the bees, though. I leave shallow, very little water, and I put some sponge or something in the middle so that she won’t wet her wings, so they can come and drink. Wherever I go, I try to do that. And I give food and water for other animals, and the birds also. But I didn’t do that to get any reward or gratitude or protection, I did that because of love. (Yes, Master.) And because I love them, they respond. (Yes.) Love touches all beings except humans, I’m sorry to say. The humans are blocked, terribly, from inside out, so they don’t see much. They don’t see the logic of not killing animals and torturing them for food. We can see so clearly. What’s so difficult to understand that you don’t kill, you don’t torture the innocent beings? (Yes.) And even it says all in the Bible that they so believe in. They go to the church every day, they listen to sermons, they read the Bibles, they sing psalms and all that stuff. (Yes, Master.) Cannot say that they did not read it. Never mind about it! Just still continue to condone this torturous practice of murdering billions of animals every year. Just like blind, deaf, and dumb. Understand nothing. I’m determined to live for the animals. The way they torture them, I cannot just ignore and say, “No problem.” (Yes, Master.) Because one day I saw them skin them. My God, imagine if they tie you up onto some machine and skin you by that machine? From top to bottom. You saw that on our Supreme Master Television. (Yes.) And I saw that a couple of times, one is a big cow and the other time it’s just a very small calf or dog. Oh, I then swore to Heaven and Earth, I said, “I will live for the animals.” Even just for them. That day, I was so angry. “God,” I was so anguished, I said, “please, just punish me alone and let the animals free.” I was crying as usual. Then I swore, “I will live for you.” I told them, “I won’t forget you.” I cannot shake all this suffering out of my head. When I edit, I have to see. Just like you had to see. (Yes, Master.) All these horrible clips of torturing animals. (Yes, Master.) I had to see, and I just swore to Heaven and Earth, I said, “I have to live for the animals.” Before, I couldn’t care less if I live or die. I mean, I’m not looking to commit suicide or anything, but if I die, I die. That’s my attitude. You see what I’m saying? (Yes.) But that day, those pictures really forced me to awake. And I said, “My life is not just my life. It belongs to suffering beings, especially the animals.” I said, “I will have to live. I will live. I will take care of myself, protect myself. I have to live for you. I will live for the animals. I’ll live for you. I would not forget you. I will not forsake you, as long as I breathe.” And I really meant that and I’m determined still. I don’t really need anything. I just need to be alive and strong. Just to work for the animals until I die. I live really just for them now, I know that. I really am determined and my heart just wants to do that. Truly. I mean, definitely and very strongly and intensely, for the animals I shall live. I would treasure my life, whatever leftover of my life, just for them. (Yes, Master.) So we just continue to do Supreme Master Television and pray for them and do what we can. (Yes, Master.) When I’m in retreat, I feel stronger than when I’m talking to everybody in the public like before, every Sunday. (Yes, Master.) I talk by my soul anyway, from my heart, so I don’t even need to go out, people hear me. Their souls hear me. (Yes.) Every day I talk to Heaven and Earth, say, “Please help me. Please help me to help the animals. I don’t want anything else. I really don’t.” I just do what I can until the end of my life. Every day I suffer so much because of them, because I suffer with them. (Yes, Master.) Like if I’m them. I feel it. Humans have become so demonized that they know nothing, feel nothing anymore. If I’m here, there is still hope. (Yes, Master.)Host: Upon mention that it was Mother’s Day as celebrated around the world, Master expressed Her heartfelt message for the mothers, including all species. Happy Mother’s Day to all your mothers and all the mothers in the whole world. Happy Mother’s Day to the animals also, who are mothers or going to be mothers. Please keep praying. Keep praying until your last breath, even if you’re suffering. Even if you’re tortured, don’t forget God. Don’t forget me. I’m with you. I suffer with you. And I’m trying very hard to end all this. At least the animals. My God, they’re so sweet, innocent. They’re so kind to humans, more kind to humans than humans to each other. Talking about that, I really have pain. And doesn’t seem like people in power are doing anything. The so-called religious leaders, and national leaders, and all these. Whom are they leading? Where are they leading? Where are they leading people to? They’re useless.Host: Most Loving Master, Your readiness for self-sacrifice moves all Heavens and Earth, as Your unending empathy for the suffering innocents touches and awakens us. We pray that Master’s wish for all living beings will be soon fulfilled and that we humans will open our hearts and adopt the compassionate vegan diet; only then shall there be real and lasting peace on Earth. May Master be always in sound health, safe and protected by all the Godses.

In today’s news, Japan contributes to reconstruction and peacebuilding initiative for Iraq, new study shows global warming behind Europe’s severe winters, New Zealand seeking to be smoke-free by 2025, rice farmers share fields with migratory birds in California, USA, thousands of animals rescued by small charity in India, Canadian survey finds vegan diet good for cats, and disabled baby alpaca in Germany walks using wheelchair. Japan donates to peacebuilding and reconstruction project in Iraq. A Shining World Leadership Award laureate for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity, Japan has contributed US$3.5 million to the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) to encourage conflict-displaced residents of Sinjar, Ninewa Governorate to return. The funds will be used for the repair and rebuilding of houses damaged by strife as well as the rehabilitation of water, hygiene and sanitation facilities. Additionally, the money will be utilized for job training and creation for young people. Japan has been a steadfast supporter for Iraq’s reconstruction and has donated over US$500 million in humanitarian assistance since 2014. The United Nations is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership Award for Humanitarianism and two Shining World Leadership for Lives-Saving-Hero Awards. Our sincere accolades, UN-Habitat and Japan, for your compassion and dedicated efforts to improve the living conditions for Iraq’s peace-loving people. May all our Iraqi brothers and sisters enjoy stability, serenity and joy, in Allah’s infinite blessings. Climate change driving Europe’s extreme winter weather. Oulu University, Finland scientists and an international team of researchers have released a study explaining how a warming climate created the intense cold and snow in Europe during a February 2018 weather event dubbed the “Beast of the East.” In previous centuries, and even 40 years ago, the Arctic’s Barents Sea was covered in ice in winter. Now, much of the sea ice has melted, and the water that evaporates into the atmosphere later falls as snow. The team calculated that 140 gigatons of water evaporated from the Barents Sea and made up 88% of the storm’s snowfall. They warn of more such severe winter events, if warming continues. Our genuine appreciation, Oulu University scientists and others, for your work that shows the immediate need to heal our precious planet. May we do all we can, starting by adopting the blessed vegan lifestyle, in Divine radiance. Up next, New Zealand seeking to be smoke-free by 2025. We’ll just pause to thank the kitchen and bath designers that provide design consultations for remodeling old spaces or designing new ones. We’ll be right back, with more conscientious news on Supreme Master Television. Hallo, virtuous friends, it’s Michiko the vegan Japanese Macaque! People say I have keen and original insights. Want to enhance your own intuition? Switch to a wholesome vegan diet like I did! We have a useful tip for you today. If you are potting a houseplant, make sure you use quality potting soil. Steer clear from using dirt from your yard since bugs may come inside along with it. You may want to pour a layer of horticultural sand on the soil’s surface to deter fungus gnats from laying eggs there. You will be able to water the plant through the sand. You can use other eco-friendly soil-topping alternatives such as those made out of crushed recycled glass that also keep fungus gnats from depositing eggs in your potted plant’s soil. Thank you for watching. Lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now the weather from around the world. New Zealand plans to be smoke-free by 2025. The nation is currently working on the Smokefree Aotearoa (the Māori name for New Zealand) 2025 Action Plan, which would gradually increase the legal smoking age and then outlaw tobacco sales to anyone born after 2004. Decreasing the amount of nicotine in tobacco, restricting where cigarettes will be sold, and a minimum price for tobacco products would also be established. Through such strong proposed measures, the country hopes to prevent the demise of 4,500 citizens who succumb annually to tobacco-related health issues. New Zealand is a recipient of Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Peace, and a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Climate-Change Mitigation, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Earth Conservation, Earth Protection, Earth Guardian, and Earth Restoration. Kudos, New Zealand, for your endeavor to protect your citizens by becoming a smoke-free nation. In the love of the Providence, may your plan soon become law, thus furthering your kind people’s health and happiness. California, USA program facilitates sharing of rice fields with birds. Environmental non-profits Audubon California, Point Blue, and The Nature Conservancy in the United States formed a group called the Migratory Bird Conservation Partnership (MBCP), to revive wildlife habitat areas that have been turned into farmlands. In California’s Central Valley, 95% of the region’s wetlands have been converted to agricultural fields. Migratory birds can still use the land through MBCP’s BirdReturns program, which was successfully launched in 2012. The initiative pays rice farmers to flood their fields in the offseason, thus providing a food source and shelter to our feathered friends. In turn, the birds fertilize and aerate the ground. Such a loving endeavor, Migratory Bird Conservation Partnership, to encourage the sharing of farmlands with our gentle avian co-inhabitants. In God’s grace, may your program expand as we increasingly provide loving care to the animals on our planet. Small Indian animal charity saves thousands of animals. Based in Ballari, Karnataka, India, Humane World for Animals was founded by Nikitha Iyer in 2012 after a personal encounter with animal cruelty. The non-governmental organization’s (NGO’s) five team members have rescued over 6,000 animals to date – including dogs, cats, cows, pigs, birds and even some wildlife with the assistance of the local forest department. The NGO helps to rehabilitate sick, injured, and abused homeless animals, supports local people who feed the animals, as well as conducts animal welfare awareness programs in schools and colleges. It has also started its own veterinary clinic with nominal service fees, with the profits going towards treating rescued animals. Other focuses include a stray dog birth control project, an anti-rabies vaccination program, in addition to cooperating with the police department to help address animal abuse. Three cheers, Nikitha Iyer and team, for your caring spirit and compassionate work! May all our furry and feathered friends thrive, in Heaven’s infinite blessings. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Humane World for Animals, plus a US$10,000 contribution to humbly support your caring rescue and rehabilitation work for our vulnerable animal friends. May you and all involved be forever protected in God’s mercy.” Coming up, survey finds vegan diet good for cats. We’ll pause for a moment to enjoy the poetic singing and heroic epic-storytelling tradition known as Olonkho, a UNESCO-recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, performed by the Yakuts, a Turkic people of the Sakha Republic in Russia. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more thoughtful news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Favorable News for a Magnificent World. Canadian research finds plant-based diet healthy for cats. A study conducted by the Ontario Veterinary College of the University of Guelph in Canada indicates that cats on a vegan diet had better body condition scores than those felines eating a meat diet. The cats on plant-based diets were also reported to have fewer health issues such as hepatic and gastrointestinal diseases. The study included kittens as young as 4 months to senior cats up to 23 years old. The data came from a survey of 1,320 Canadian and American cat caregivers, who filled out a questionnaire on their companion’s health. Twenty percent of the participants fed their feline friend a vegan diet. Our heartfelt thanks, Ontario Veterinary College researchers, for this valuable information showing that cats can thrive when consuming only a plant-based diet that is nutritionally sound. May all our cute feline friends enjoy robust health, in Celestial splendor. Kind woman in Germany helps disabled baby alpaca walk for first time. Ronja Pohn from Frankfurt, Germany, spotted Marie, a physically challenged young alpaca, at a friend’s farm and decided to give her a new life. Marie’s hind legs were severely injured due to a traumatic birth, which her mother sadly did not survive. After bringing the darling friend to the farm where she works, Ms. Pohn then took Marie to a veterinarian who amputated one of her damaged legs. Following that, a custom-made rear-support wheelchair was created, and Marie is now able to move around on her own and socialize with other animals in the barn. Ms. Pohn will get Marie an artificial leg to help her live a more normal life, as soon as she can carry the weight on her back leg. Our gratitude, Ronja Pohn, for your care and efforts. The shipment contained 1,000 food parcels with each parcel containing 48 kilograms of essential food items such as flour, rice, lentils and salt. In addition, water sanitation devices and medical items were also provided as part of the shipment to support emergency healthcare and COVID-19 control efforts. In the blessings of Allah, may all asylum seekers soon find security and peace in their lives. COVID-19 was leading cause of death in early 2021 in United States. As reported by the US-based Kaiser Family Foundation, from December 2020 to February 2021, COVID-19 was found to be the main reason for fatalities in the US, with heart disease and cancer being second and third. For the whole year of 2020, however, the virus was the third principal cause of life lost according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with the illness taking around 375,000 lives. Groups with some of the highest losses were males, senior adults age 85 or older, African Americans and Native Americans. Thank you, Kaiser Family Foundation and the Centers for Disease Control, for the information. Our heartfelt condolences to the families whose loved ones passed away due to COVID-19. We pray for their souls as well as for the living, especially the most vulnerable. UK non-profit Buglife, which is focused on protecting insects, has started establishing wildflower corridors across the nation as part of its B-Lines initiative to help pollinators travel between areas. Currently, their habitats are divided by roads and developments, but the charity’s team has made a map of proposed routes where wildflowers can be planted. So far, the project has already led to the sighting of a rare bumblebee in Cardiff town. Citizens can also participate by allowing their lawns to grow or by creating a small herb garden. According to Buglife’s Paul Hetherington, the actualization of even 10% of the suggested network will increase the population of beneficial insects. Furthermore, it will give them a way out of overheated habitats caused by global warming. Way to go, Buglife! May your caring project help bee and other insect communities bloom, in Celestial kindness. Ancient tree found in New Zealand reveals climate history. A company in New Zealand named Top Energy recently uncovered a fossilized kauri tree while excavating a hillside for a geothermal power plant. The 20-meter-long cone-bearing kauri, which had lived for 1,600 years, was the only one found so far that existed during the glacial period between 13,000 and 25,000 years ago. It will give valuable information on what the climate was like each year during that time, with clues about the rainfall, humidity, soil moisture and more. The towering kauri tree is considered to be sacred by the indigenous Maori people. Thank you, Top Energy and researchers involved. With renewed awe of the Earth’s great trees past and present, may such discoveries also help us to better understand our Earth’s climate and act urgently to preserve all life. Altruistic teen assists those in need with essential supplies. Seventeen-year-old Alexa Rhodes of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, recently put together and delivered 160 backpacks for individuals experiencing homelessness in the city. The durable, waterproof backpacks each included over 40 necessities such as personal hygiene products, hand sanitizers and a water-resistant blanket. They were assembled by Alexa and 51 younger students, who are enrolled in an entrepreneurial leadership program at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. Ms. Rhodes began the project as part of this business class initiative and in 2020 developed it into her own non-profit called H.E.L.P.I.N.G. The Homeless Backpacks to encourage people to support those in need. Our warm applause and appreciation, Alexa Rhodes and others involved. May you inspire many more to follow your noble ideal of helping others, in Divine goodness. Coming up, study shows veganism is rapidly increasing in Belgium. Let’s pause for a moment to be thankful for the umbrella makers, for allowing us to be outdoors during the rainy days. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Good News for a Habitable World. Veganism soaring in Belgium. Psychologists at the United Kingdom’s University of Bath discovered that the number of people contented with plant-based products in Belgium rose from 44% to 51% between 2019 and 2020. In partnership with Belgian non-profit GAIA (Global Action in the Interest of Animals), the results were obtained through polling 1,000 people in two surveys. This fast increase is reflected in such supermarkets as Lidl, which has expanded their vegan offerings by 11 new items in the nation. Furthermore, Plenitude, the world’s largest scale plant to produce fungus-based protein for meat alternative products, will be established in the city of Ghent in 2021. We applaud you, forward-thinking Belgian citizens. In Heaven’s light, may a global shift to the satisfying vegan lifestyle fully bring us into a world of compassion and happiness. Taiwanese (Formosan) village supports feline well-being. The newly established Cat Public Office in New Taipei City’s Houtong Village in Taiwan, also known as Formosa, focuses on furthering the welfare of hundreds of homeless cats in the area. Services that are provided include monitoring, healthcare and microchip implants, and furthermore, the facility will function as a coordination center for volunteer work. Beautifully decorated with a kitty mural, the office also cultivates catnip, a plant that felines love for its calming benefits. The overall goal is to turn the town that already attracts visits from cat lovers into a feline paradise, while informing the public about the proper care of these adorable beings. Our sincere thankfulness for these humane efforts, New Taipei City government. May all our animal friends be respected and well looked after, in Divine protection. Let our daily joke help you weather things a little bit better! It’s entitled “Modern Consideration.” Craig and Danny were discussing the topic of marriages. “It’s interesting how different times define different ways to help you consider marrying someone…”“What do you mean?”“Like, for example, nowadays, before you marry a person, you should first make them use a computer with slow internet to see who they really are.”And now we have a heartline from Zhi-Sheng in China: I’m from the animal rescue center of the Samantabhadra Great Vow Life-Protecting organization, an animal rescue site and shelter. I hope people will help the animals and provide them with an abundant, free, and happy home. Coincidently on one occasion, I had the honor to learn that Supreme Master and the Supreme Master TV team were advocating veganism, environmental protection, and saving our animal friends. I adore Your ideals dearly. Now that our earthly home is facing imminent catastrophes, your TV is awakening all people who have compassion, love and a conscience. I began to help and rescue animals in 2016. Every day, I’ve seen homeless animals wandering the streets starving, facing the fear and danger of being sold to the slaughtering houses and getting killed every day. Seeing all this, I could not eat or sleep in peace. Merciful love emerged in my heart, and I made up my mind to help them find a shelter with love and warmth. Thus I embarked on the journey of animal-rescuing. It’s difficult and challenging, but I did not give up, because I believe in “When the buying stops, the killing can too.” Through getting in touch with animals, I came to appreciate the preciousness of life, and from them, I have experienced all kinds of lessons on the ephemerality of life, joys and sorrows, birth, aging, sickness, and death. I hope that all people in the world would join efforts to help and rescue all animals and save our beautiful earthly home. I’ve learned from the animals about thankfulness, humility, and unconditional love. I hope that humankind would wake up and respect all living beings, including animals, stop eating meat and choose the noble vegan diet. Let us live harmoniously with the animals; let us live in an earthly home that’s loving, peaceful, and free of war and killing. Zhi-Sheng from China Tender-hearted Zhi-Sheng, We thank you for writing of your experiences and extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for all your kind and caring actions towards our noble animal friends. May others heed your words and adopt the vegan lifestyle so we may all enjoy world peace. We pray the Heavens infinitely bless you and the mindful Chinese people. In Universal Love, Supreme Master TV team P.S. Master has a heart-warming response for you: “Beneficent Zhi-Sheng, true caring souls like yourself look out for the animals and understand that each being’s life is so very precious. My thanks to you and others at the animal rescue center for saving our animal co-inhabitants from those who wish to do them harm and for loving them so much. May Buddha’s glorious Light shine upon you, your center’s residents and regal China.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartlineWe sure have enjoyed spending time with you on Noteworthy News. May your days be graced with divine sustenance.

In today’s news, Qatari relief organization provides winter clothing to Yemeni school children in need, West Antarctic glaciers losing ice at an accelerating rate, California, USA company bringing solar-charged electric car to market, desert greening projects in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region highly successful, Australian police save companion animals from shop fire, United Kingdom vegan chocolate company debuts tasty new offering, and Maryland, USA bans wildlife killing contests for certain species.Qatari charity provides winter garments to underprivileged youth in Yemen. The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) is distributing 18,000 winterization kits to school children of impoverished and displaced Yemeni families. Provided in partnership with the Yemen Red Crescent Society and Yemen’s Ministry of Education, each kit contains a warm coat, shoes, socks and jeans, among other items. It is hoped the supplies will help protect students from common cold season illnesses, reduce school absenteeism, and motivate them to study well. Most recipients’ parents cannot afford winter clothes for their children. The project is part of QRCS’s Warm Winter initiative, which will provide nearly US$1,000,000 in shelter and food assistance to 84,711 beneficiaries in various countries. QRCS is a Shining World Compassion Award laureate. Our deep gratitude, Qatar Red Crescent Society and partners, for your loving care. May Allah bless all children with safety and warmth as we move into a brighter future. West Antarctic glaciers melting at ever-faster rate. A scientific team from the University of Leeds, UK, and elsewhere, recently calculated the melting speed of the Getz glaciers in West Antarctica between 1994 and 2018. They discovered that the ice loss rate is accelerating, with 315 billion metric tons of ice having disappeared during this period, enough to raise the global mean sea level by almost one millimeter. Also, the mean melting pace increased by almost 25% for the 14 glaciers, with three glaciers jumping by 44%-plus. The situation is likely being caused by warm seawater currents getting underneath the ocean-facing portions of the glaciers. Thank you, University of Leeds scientists and all involved, for your timely research about the alarming rate of Antarctica’s glacier ice melt and elevating ocean levels. May your work help reinforce to humanity the urgent need to save our warming planet, with the vegan diet being the foremost solution, in God’s upliftment. Up next, California, USA company bringing solar-charged electric car to market. We are now going to thank the astronauts, who travel into space beyond our Earth’s atmosphere to serve as a spacecraft crew members, conduct experiments, or perform other activities related to space exploration. When the content of the box changes, just easily wipe off the chalk and relabel it. Chalkboard paint can be applied to the majority of non-porous surfaces. You can also make your own adhesive or magnetic labels by using mailing labels or refrigerator magnets. Thank you for your attention, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Here’s the weather around our beautiful globe. American company unveils futuristic solar electric car. Aptera Motors, headquartered in San Diego, California, United States, is in the process of developing the world’s first mass-produced commercial solar-charged vehicle. Expected to reach the market by the end of 2021, it has an incredible range of up to almost 1,610 kilometers when fully charged. The design leverages aerodynamic principles to reduce drag or air resistance, and the manufacturer says the model is 4-times more efficient compared to today’s typical electric vehicles. Covered in over three square meters of solar cells, the panels add up to 64 kilometers in range daily when the car is parked in the sun for a day. For this reason, the model has been nicknamed the “Never-Charge” solar car. Kudos, Aptera Motors, for working to give consumers a next-level green transport option! We look forward to the day that all vehicles can be powered by our benevolent Sun, in the grace of the Divine. Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region’s desert greening projects demonstrate broad-reaching benefits. Recent endeavors to green the deserts of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in China have been highly successful, resulting in 40% of the area now being covered in flora. Each year for the last five years, 800,000 hectares of land have been seeded with vegetation, including special drought and cold-tolerant plant species, which have helped to increase precipitation and decrease the number of sandstorms locally. Specialized planting technology has been used here to conserve water, minimize soil disturbance, and plant trees in seconds. Regional authorities have also prohibited animal livestock pasture grazing and logging and are restoring the land’s ecology. Exceptional news, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on successfully converting your deserts back to green zones. In Buddha’s mercy, may these spaces continue to thrive as your diligent actions improve the lives of countless beings. Australian police rescue puppies from burning shop. Australian police from the Gold Coast in Queensland recently saved 12 puppies and two cats who were inside an animal companion shop that had caught fire. The blaze started after spreading from an adjacent motorbike store, and the police were alerted to the situation by the animal companion shop’s owner, who called and informed them of the animals’ presence within the building. Despite being in close proximity to the conflagration, the officers were able to enter the premises, find the puppies’ and cats’ cages and safely bring them out. Our deep appreciation, Gold Coast police, for your heroic actions to save the canines and felines inside the store. In the love of Heaven, may the puppies grow up to be healthy adults and the cats remain robust as all find loving homes. Coming up, United Kingdom vegan chocolate company debuts new offering. In Divine grace, may a vegan lifestyle soon be the choice of all. State of Maryland legislature passes bill banning killing of certain wildlife in contests. Maryland, United States’ legislative assembly has voted to outlaw inhumane wildlife killing contests that target raccoons, coyotes, and foxes. This heartless activity results in hundreds of animals being killed in a single weekend while leaving a large number of juveniles orphaned. The young then succumb to starvation or other dangers. Maryland’s governor, the Honorable Larry Hogan, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, is expected to sign the legislation into law. Maryland would then become the eighth state to prohibit the gruesome practice following the benevolent example of Arizona, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Vermont, and Washington. With sincerity and gratitude, we thank you, Maryland legislature, for protecting our animal friends. May all governments value the precious lives of our animal co-inhabitants, in the love of the Providence. Now it’s time to relax and laugh with us. Here comes the joke of the day called, “Tour Guide.” On a school trip to a history museum, the young students went to see an exhibit on an ancient kingdom they had been studying. The teacher then decided to quiz them. “Brian, whose skeleton is that?” “It’s from an old king.” “And the smaller one next to it?” “It’s the old king when he was a child.” ?! In today’s news, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai presents Shining World Compassion Award to Singaporean group supporting migrant workers, pregnancy outcomes for mothers and babies have worsened globally during COVID-19, Turkey recognized for zero waste project, researchers link intuition to gut bacteria diversity, United Nations commends Afghani female deminers on International Mine Awareness Day, restaurant chain in the Netherlands adds vegan fish to their menu, and parrot turns 72 in United States bird sanctuary. In Shining World Compassion Award News from Singapore… When a group of compassionate individuals came together with a purpose in mind – to help the migrant workers of Singapore, Project Postcard was born. All 15 members of the group are alumni from the Singapore School of Arts. As an expression of solidarity, Project Postcard has printed 13 distinct postcards featuring individual artworks that depict migrant workers. Proceeds from the sale of the postcards are given to the Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (HOME)which provides ongoing support to the migrant workers in many ways, including with daily necessities, emergency medical aid, psychological support, and legal costs. “What I found was most important was to give back to society. I think it doesn’t have to always be a very big project or a very big idea, I think anybody can do it. I think it’s just about starting small. Look at the immediate communities, your immediate surroundings, people who need help, people who are struggling, and think about what you have, what are your strengths, what are your talents and how you can use that to empower and to strengthen a different community. It’s just about helping wherever you can, whenever you can. It sows seeds of kindness in other people.” Touched by their caring endeavor, Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Thankfully present Project Postcard the Shining World Compassion Award, along with a US$10,000 loving contribution for your noble work, and special thanks to the Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics, with high respect, gratitude and praises, in Heaven’s immense love.” Our Association members in Singapore were honored to present the Award letter, crystalline plaque, Master’s financial gift as well as Her publications and DVDs to Project Postcard. “In less than two months, 15,000 postcards were sold, and the proceeds of more than $15,000 contributed to the Singaporean Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics. In addition, the endeavor also distributed and paid for the mailing of 10,000 postcards for workers to write to family or friends in their home countries. Commenting on the effort, Project Postcard’s creative lead Kimberly Wee said, ‘We wanted to show them that we don’t just appreciate them because they helped to build our country or because they have suffered, but because they are a part of our community.’” Upon receiving the Award letter, crystalline plaque and check, Russell had a heartfelt message to share with Supreme Master Ching Hai. “I just want to say a huge thank You, thank You for Your generosity, for Your kindness and for spreading this love and all this kindness into the world. I think You’re touching millions of hearts, and You are really inspiring people like me that even something so small can really continue to impact and make a big difference in someone else’s life, so thank You for doing that for me.” Congratulations, Project Postcard. Thank you for spreading neighborly love and happiness in our world. May Heaven bless your team and all the families whose lives you have touched. For the full presentation of the Shining World Compassion Award to Project Postcard, please tune in to our Shining World Awards program at a later date. COVID-19 associated with worse pregnancy outcomes around the world. Researchers from St. George’s University Hospitals in the United Kingdom have determined that stillbirths and maternal deaths increased by about one-third globally during the pandemic. A meta-analysis was conducted of 40 studies involving six million pregnancies over a year in 17 countries including Botswana, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, India, Israel, Mexico, Nepal, the United Kingdom and the United States. The main driver of these tragic outcomes, which mainly affected low- and middle-income countries, was likely the burdened healthcare systems’ inability to cope with the pandemic. We express our deep sorrow for the affected families and pray for the safety of newborns and their mothers. May humanity also stop the root cause of the pandemic by embracing the compassionate vegan lifestyle, in Divine love. Up next on Noteworthy News, Turkey recognized for zero waste project. We’ll just take a little time to thank the animal care attendants, who make sure that the furry companions boarding at hospitals or pet hotels are fed, exercised, and contented around-the-clock. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more friendly news. Hallo, vibrant viewers, it’s Prem the vegan Bali Bird of Paradise! The vegan journey of a thousand miles begins with a single plant-based meal. What are you waiting for? I’d like to share a car maintenance tip with you. To prevent air from leaking out of your tires, make sure you leave the caps on all of your tire valves. A missing cap could lead to a flat tire overnight and cause dirt and water to get inside the tire. Also, if you are getting a new set of tires, be sure to kindly remind the shop to replace the valves as well. Thank you and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. And thanks for tuning in. Now, the weather around the world! Turkey lauded for sustainability efforts. The United Nations Development Programme has awarded its first ever Global Goals Action Award to Turkey. The recognition was given for the country’s zero waste project which has added an estimated US$2.3 billion to the country’s economy, including from savings for material that is normally discarded. Turkey’s zero waste project is led by First Lady Her Excellency Emine Erdoğan, who initiated the nationwide campaign in 2017 with the goal of reducing the volume of non-recyclable waste. The project has since saved enormous amounts of energy, water, oil and trees, while also preventing two billion tons of greenhouse gases. Turkey is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion recipient, and a laureate of five Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection and Good Governance. Our heartfelt congratulations and thanks, Turkey and First Lady Emine Erdoğan. May your resource-saving example radiate around the world as we also pray for a vegan world, in Allah’s infinite grace. Intuition linked to bacterial diversity in the intestines. Researchers from the University of California San Diego in the United States have found evidence that humans have a “gut feeling,” or connections between the intestines and the brain. In their study, 184 adults between the ages of 28 and 97 self-reported on aspects such as social involvement and feelings of compassion, support and loneliness. People who reported higher levels of intuition, compassion and social support, showed higher bacterial diversity. It was also found that loneliness was related to lower levels of intestinal microbes. Thus, the richness of the microbes was representative of one’s mental and physical health. Such fascinating news, researchers, on the link between our microbial friends and our wellbeing. In Heaven’s support, may good health and blessings come to everyone, along with love among one another. UN News highlights Afghan women deminers. As part of its observance of International Mine Awareness Day, the United Nations' news agency, UN News, has praised “the bravery and hard work of deminers.” In particular, the UN published an article about a team of 19 women who has removed explosives from more than 27 million square meters of contaminated land in Afghanistan. This accomplishment made Bamyan province to be declared the country’s first mine-free province since 2019. Team member Fezeh Rezaye, a university graduate and young mother of two, even put aside her dream to be a teacher and took up the dangerous demining work for the sake of her children, after mines took the lives of seven kids in her village. Thank you, United Nations, for advancing a mine-free world. Bravo to all the courageous deminers of Afghanistan and other countries. In the Divine’s ennobling light, may every child soon walk in total, carefree peace on this Earth. Coming up, restaurant chain in the Netherlands adds vegan fish to their menu. Founded as a non-profit in 2009, the sanctuary also operates as a boarding and daycare facility, finds forever homes for some, and holds programs for children, teenagers and the elderly, among other initiatives. The oldest resident, Obi the umbrella cockatoo, recently turned 72, which is significantly more than the average lifespan. Caregivers shared, “[Obi] enjoys spending his days basking in the sunshine, flirting with all the female cockatoos, and eating his favorite snacks (sweet potatoes, walnuts, and cherries).” We are so happy for these lucky birds! Bless you, Free Flight Exotic Bird Sanctuary, for creating a wonderful space for them. May God protect all the loving feathered angels on this planet. Forget the weight of the world and join us for a laugh with the joke of the day entitled, “A Get-together.” “Dad, there is a small get-together at school tomorrow. You should come!” “Small get-together? How small?” “You, the principal, and me.” And now we have a heartline from John Green in the United States: Prior to the US presidential election last November, I was very upset by the idea that President Trump might win and remain in office for another four years. Oddly, he started appearing in my dreams – usually as my employer, sometimes as my mentor but always someone who was kind, loving and wise. This made no sense to me when I was awake and did not stop me from voting for his opponent. When Master started asking us to pray for President Trump, I could not. I simply prayed for God’s will to be done. But as it became clear that Master was seriously concerned about the outcome of the election, I started praying to God Almighty, “Please help me to see a bigger picture.” I think this prayer was heard because I have completely changed my attitude toward President Trump. I still cannot see what Master sees, but I’m sure that President Trump’s soul came here on a special and difficult mission. I’m sorry that Master had to suffer for being President Trump’s advocate. God knows there was already enough on Her plate without getting involved in American politics. But it seems She cannot avoid coming to the rescue of those who are genuine, righteous and beneficial to the world. I have no more words except, “Thank You from the bottom of my heart, Master.” John Green from the United States Authentic John Green, We are grateful that you have shared your struggles and how by looking inside, you were able to find a clearer picture of the truth. This is an example many will relate to and can learn from. We pray that in God’s Grace, you and the generous American people know eternal peace and harmony. In nurturing Celestial light, Supreme Master TV team P.S. We delight in letting you know that Master says: “Strong John Green, God will always hear our sincere prayer. The illusory nature of this world means that only with the Wisdom Eye can we see through the mist and perceive reality. Please be more diligent in your spiritual practice, so more true knowledge will be revealed to you from within. Then your real divine strength and wisdom can be of significant good help to the world. In this shadow realm, things are mostly obscured and difficult for humans to discern what is good and what is not. Be humble and pray always for Blessing and Guidance from Higher Celestial Power, while walking on this rough domain. Wishing you special Luck. With much Love I pray you and your warmhearted American co-citizens may always receive Heaven’s blessings and know a blissful and fulfilling life.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. In today’s news, Canada assists Colombia with education and other efforts, COVID-19 affects global job market, Kazakhstan to plant two billion trees in five years, study indicates more people are working from bed during pandemic, determined woman brings solar powered electricity to villagers in Yemen, Spanish fashion brand launches vegan shoes made from corn, and animal welfare group saves bears in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam. Canada assists Colombia in education. Canada has announced a US$23.2 million donation to Colombia in view of their acceptance of about 1.7 million Venezuelan refugees since 2015, and the difficulties the country has faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. US$15.7 million of the aid is to provide high-quality education for vulnerable children and adolescents over an eight-year period. US$3.9 million is for economic empowerment of rural women and youth, US$2.7 million for peace and security, and US$177,000 to support students’ education through radio and television during the pandemic. Canada is a Shining World Leadership Award for Animal Protection recipient, and a laureate of five Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Caring. Our heartfelt gratitude, Canada, for your timely help. May all the kind Colombian people live in peace, security and joy in the care of the Providence. COVID-19 significantly affects the global job market. According to a report by the International Labor Organization, 8.8% of working hours were lost worldwide in 2020 because of the pandemic, which is an equivalent to 255 million full-time jobs. Also, the loss in working income was a staggering US$3.7 trillion. The most affected were the hospitality and food service industries, then the retail, arts and construction sectors. Meanwhile, other fields have seen positive job growth, such as the information, communication and financial sectors. The two differing trends are likely to increase inequality, with the low-paid and lower-skilled workers suffering the most. The World Bank also recently confirmed that global poverty is likely to increase for the first time in 20 years, reversing decades of progress made to reduce it. Thank you, International Labor Organization and World Bank, for this information. In Divine grace, may humans’ livelihoods have a chance to be restored through real efforts to move to a benevolent vegan world. Up next, Kazakhstan to plant two billion trees in five years. We’ll just thank the legal counsels who guide the non-profit animal rights organizations so they can save more innocent lives effectively. Please stay for more enriching news on Supreme Master Television. Hooray, treasured friends, it’s me, Wonkee the vegan Mule! You can be the change you are waiting to see. Just go vegan – for yourself, the animals and the planet! I have a crafty tip for you today. Rather than throwing away any broken or cracked terra cotta planters and saucers, you can repurpose them by creating a lovely birdbath with them for your garden. If you want to make your creation unique and add some color, you can paint the pieces before sticking them all together. This will be a fun project with results the birds will love and enjoy! Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe. Kazakhstan to plant two billion trees and clean the environment. The Kazakh Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources recently started their Taza Tabigat (or Clean Nature) program that will plant two billion trees across the nation over the next five years. While the young trees will become parts of forests, another 15 million will go to cities. In addition, a green belt will be created around the Turkestan Region to help shield it from the surrounding desert. National forests and water reservoirs will also be cleaned. Kazakhstan is a Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance laureate. Way to go, Kazakhstan, on your national program to have more majestic trees take root in your beautiful country. In Heaven’s blessings, may your citizens, flora and fauna all live harmoniously. Expert warns working from bed has health risks. In a recent study of 1,000 people in the United States, 72% reported that during the pandemic they had worked remotely from their bed, which is 50% more than before COVID-19 lockdowns. However, Dr. Susan Hallbeck of the esteemed Mayo Clinic medical research center has warned that this causes strain to the neck, back and hips. In addition, for young people, who work from bed more often than older adults, problems such as headaches, stiffness and pain can show up later in life. Psychologically, the habit causes the brain and body to associate the sleeping area with daytime activities. This is seen as a factor of the increased insomnia and sleep disorders reported during the pandemic. Many thanks, Dr. Susan Hallbeck, for this important information. In God’s mercy, may humanity end the pandemic sooner through the vegan diet so that we all can work in environments more conducive for our holistic health. Yemeni women light up homes with solar power. With support and grants from the United Nations Development Program, in 2019 Iman Hadi from Abs, Yemen, led a team of 10 women to launch a solar power station in the district. The group learned to manage the grids themselves, and their power plant can provide affordable electricity to 43 households. This bold action has helped many women and their families improve their incomes and achieve financial sustainability. Ms. Hadi envisions expanding the service to all 3,060 households in the Al-Ghadi area in the future. The project won the 2020 Ashden Awards for Humanitarian Energy that honors climate champions. Our accolades and appreciation, Ms. Iman Hadi and team. Many thanks for your support, United Nations Development Program, and may the fine people of Yemen be blessed with stability and peace in Allah’s love. Up next on Noteworthy News, Spanish fashion brand launches vegan shoes made from corn. We are going to pause now to think of ways to practice mindfulness in our everyday life, which is the art of being aware and fully present in the current moment. We’ll return with more heart-warming news on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Helpful News for a Caring World. Sustainable fashion brand launches vegan shoes made from corn waste. Spanish vegan company Canussa has collaborated with online footwear store El Naturalista to produce a 100% vegan ballerina-style shoe which looks and feels like leather. The environmentally friendly material is durable and water-resistant, which allows for maximum use. Moreover, the company pledges to plant one tree for every pair of shoes made. María Cano, CEO of Canussa said, “Consumers were asking us for footwear that was as comfortable as a slipper and as elegant as a shoe… so we decided to get down to work and create these ballerinas so that Canussa women could feel comfortable and elegant in any environment.” The brand also provide a range of vegan bags, backpacks, belts, cardholders and wallets. Bravo, Canussa and El Naturalista, for your inventive creation. In Divine light, may more companies follow your compassionate lead and let our animal co-citizens live in peaceful dignity. Animal welfare group rescues bears in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam. Austria-headquartered FOUR PAWS International, a Shining World Compassion Award laureate, has rescued two Asiatic bears from an illegal bile facility in Âu Lạc (Vietnam). The pair, a male named Xuân and a female named Mơ, were kept in small, filthy and rusty metal cages in a dark windowless basement under a clothes shop in Sơn La province. Onsite veterinary checks on both bears revealed gallbladder disease due to repeated unhygienic bile extractions. Furthermore, Xuân, who has been kept in such horrific conditions since he was a cub in 2004, also has liver disease and three fractured teeth. After the health checks, Xuân and Mơ were transported to their new home at FOUR PAWS’ Bear Sanctuary in the town of Ninh Bình, where they will undergo lengthy rehabilitation. Our tearful gratefulness, FOUR PAWS International. May Xuân and Mơ recover their health and happiness, as we pray for the freedom and kind treatment of all animal friends, in Heaven’s loving embrace. Here’s a daily dose of pleasantry to lift your spirits. It’s entitled, “Wake Up Ability.” “What would you say is your strength, Mrs. Madison?” “I can wake up before the alarm!” “That sounds good. And what is your weakness?” “Well, hitting the ‘snooze’ button of the alarm...” And now we have a heartline from Fu-Gui in China: Dear Master Ching Hai: You are my only One and my everything. I’ll continue to practice Your teachings, keep the precepts strictly and meditate diligently. I’ll continue to cherish the spiritual practice with my family and the good habit of doing long hours of inner Heavenly Light and Sound meditation and hold, as many as possible, ##seven-day-retreats by myself. Thanks to Master’s blessing, fellow sisters and brothers in the countryside have set up their own solitary house for retreat. Though simple and crude, it allows us to take turns to concentrate on meditation during breaks from farm work. After finishing the wheat harvesting and autumn farm work, we’d attend the retreats actively. Sisters and brothers in the city, besides attending group meditation in the center, also try their best to hold retreats at the same time with Master. I saw Master nine times at the New Land Ashram in 2019, and I was full of bliss and spiritually gained a lot. In 2020, even though we were not able to see Master, but I was still practicing Master’s teachings from past lectures in my actions, mind, and speech. Thank God and Master for bestowing on me this gift that I could have the fortune of holding solitary seven-day-retreats in my life. Furthermore, we’re happy and self-confident, and we persist in writing in the spiritual diary every day to remind ourselves to keep the precepts, be diligent in meditation, and make selfless contributions. Every day we meditate on the inner Heavenly Sound continuously for more than three hours to be Master’s good children. We also play Supreme Master TV round the clock every day and watch as often as possible to greet the coming of “World Vegan, World Peace.” Fu-Gui from China Wholesome Fu-Gui, We thank you for reminding us of the many ways we can support our glorious Supreme Master Ching Hai. Now, an inspiring note from Master: “Splendid Fu-Gui, bravo for making the most of every moment and every opportunity to utilize and spread the radiant and loving energy of the Godses, Heavens, and Universes, uplifting not only yourself but also the planet. I am truly grateful to you and your brothers and sisters who so diligently meditate for a peaceful, vegan world. Please, be sure to meditate proportionally on the inner Heavenly Light and Sound as you were taught during Initiation. May all Heavenly Beings support and bless you in your noble actions and bring peace and abundance to you, your fellow practitioners, and the hard-working Chinese people.” We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. In today’s news, German Red Cross assists migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina, United Nations Secretary-General gives urgent warning on the state of the world, new study shows that fireflies need protection in North America, engineering firm establishes the first tidal energy charging station in Scotland, innovative forest farmer from Burkina Faso honored with prestigious award, vegan Filipino baked goods taking on Southern California, United States, and New Zealand to end live export of animals.Migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina receive assistance. As the pandemic has increased the urgency for support, the German Red Cross (DRK) is committed to helping migrants residing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which currently has over 4,400 displaced people. According to estimates, around 1,000 of them are under 18 years old, and approximately half of these minors are not accompanied by an adult. Most come from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria. DRK will assist local mobile relief units to deliver food and supplies to about 3,000 of the people in need. Thank you, German Red Cross, for your loving support. May all migrants find stable shelter and lives as peace spreads throughout the world, in the goodwill of the Providence. United Nations raises alarm of rapidly increasing global warming. The UN Secretary-General, His Excellency António Guterres, has given a dire warning on the state of the world, saying, “We are on the verge of the abyss…” This message is based on the UN State of the Global Climate report that paints a bleak picture of the environmental situation on our planet. It was concluded that the year 2020 was among the three hottest ever recorded, with the worldwide average temperature approximately 1.2 degrees Celsius higher than the pre-industrial era. The year also witnessed an unprecedented occurrence of droughts, floods, wildfires and glaciers that melted at a rate never before seen. The United Nations is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership Award for Humanitarianism and two Shining World Leadership for Lives-Saving-Hero Awards. Our gratitude, the United Nations and Your Excellency António Guterres. In God’s love, may we soon shift to a plant-based food system to quickly cool our burning planet for the future children. Up next, new study sheds light on fireflies in North America. We deeply thank the intensive care unit nurses, who are at the frontline of providing critical COVID-19 treatment, disregarding their own mental and physical exhaustion for the sake of the patients and their families. We’ll return with more high-thinking news after these messages here on Supreme Master Television. Good day, smart viewers, it’s Warren the vegan Pacific Walrus. Honestly, can you think of a better way to live than being vegan? When you do good, you feel good! So start today and make our world a better place! I’d like to share some instructions on how to make your own plant-based buttermilk for baking. In a measuring cup, add in one tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar. Or, you can substitute 1 3/4 teaspoons (8.5 ml) of cream of tartar for this acidic ingredient. Next, use soy milk to fill up to the 1-cup line. Another way to make buttermilk is to combine 1/2 cup of water to 1/2 cup of vegan sour cream and mix together well. You can alter the proportion of water and sour cream depending on the preferred thickness. Now you can use the plant-based buttermilk in a variety of vegan recipes including muffins, pancakes, and breads. Thank you for your attention, and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now it’s time for the worldwide weather. Fireflies in need of conservation in North America. A study covering 128 species of fireflies in the United States and Canada has shown that 14 of them are threatened with extinction while three are near threatened. This first-of-its-kind assessment, which calls for preservation and monitoring efforts of these luminescent insects, also concluded that there is still a lack of data on over half the species. To protect their habitat, it is recommended to mow less, grow native plants instead of lawn, not to remove leaf litter, and refrain from the use of pesticides and outside lights. The research was conducted by the United States-based Xerces Society and the ABQ BioPark together with the Firefly Specialist Group of the Switzerland-headquartered International Union for Conservation of Nature. Much appreciation, scientists. May we all lovingly dedicate our efforts to safeguarding the marvelous natural world, in Heaven’s compassion. Tidal energy fuels cars in Scotland. Nova Innovation, a United Kingdom-based leading marine energy company, has established the first tidal powered charging station for electric vehicles in the Shetland Islands, UK. In addition to the existing four 100 kilowatt sea turbines, the plan is to include two more to provide as much as 30,000 electric vehicle charges yearly. The move facilitates the nation’s green transition as the Scottish government has issued a ban on the sale of new cars running only on diesel or petrol by 2032. During the past more than five years, the company has been supplying energy to Shetland’s businesses and homes by their marine turbines. We are impressed, Nova Innovation. In Divine splendor, may we soon live in a green paradise nurtured by a harmonious coexistence with Mother Earth. Innovative Burkinabé farmer receives prestigious award. In recognition of his revolutionary farming method, Yacouba Sawadogo from Burkina Faso was presented the United Nations Environment Programme’s 2020 Champions of the Earth Award for Inspiration and Action. During the 1980s severe drought, he modified the traditional Zaï cultivation technique to utilize stones and pits that are deeper and wider than the commonly used ones, in order to funnel and retain rainfall. As a result, Mr. Sawadogo has created a 40-hectare forest over the last four decades, encompassing over 60 species of trees and bushes on his land in Yatenga province. Shown to raise crop yields as much as 500%, the method has also been adopted by farmers in the Sahel region, substantially enhancing food security, tree coverage, groundwater levels, and biodiversity. Our warm felicitations and appreciation, Yacouba Sawadogo. May your work inspire many people to develop creative ways to sustain life on Earth, in Celestial glory. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Joyfully present Yacouba Sawadogo the Shining World Land Protection Award with US$10,000 to support this praiseworthy endeavor, in humble gratitude with God’s love. May your days be full of happiness and Blessing, your family healthy and your country prosper by Divine Inspiration.” Coming up, vegan Filipino baked goods arrive in Southern California, United States. We’ll pause for a moment to be grateful to the little birds that live nearby and wake us up in the morning with their sweet melodies. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more supporting news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Laudable News for a Safer World. Philippine baker shares her culture with delectable vegan desserts. Kym Estrada, a longtime vegan and lover of baking, created plant-based versions of the Filipino baked goods that she fondly remembered. Living in New York, United States at the time, she started San & Wolves Bakeshop, selling her delicious items at various pop-ups. Since moving to Long Beach, California in 2019, Ms. Estrada has continued the bakery online with pickup service at two restaurants. Specializing in traditional sweet breads and innovative pastries, she takes pride in letting people enjoy Filipino flavors while working towards her goal of opening up a storefront in the future. We applaud your passion and entrepreneurial enthusiasm, Kym Estrada. In Heaven’s blessings, may people all over the world elevate their spirit with the delights of the vegan lifestyle. New Zealand bans the export of live animals. New Zealand has passed a law banning the export of live animals by sea, to be implemented progressively within the next two years. The long sea passage to other countries causes extreme stress to them where thousands of sheep, cows, etc. are crammed together in dreadful conditions with the risk of injury, disease and in many cases, loss of life. Animal activists worldwide are celebrating this major victory as it forges a stronger legal framework for other countries to follow. Our gratefulness and adulation, New Zealand. May your compassionate decision help bring the world forward into a permanent era of kindness, in God’s mercy. We are happy to find a joke to chill you out. Unimpressed, Barbara replied: "Who wants to look 81 years old?!" ?! And now we have a heartline from Akshar in India: Beloved Master, Tim Qo Tu, Somehow, I could not communicate with You from within to praise You before starting meditation, and then suddenly some of the seeds of Your Divine teachings sprouted: Supreme Master Ching Hai, my utmost reverend Master – Tim Qo Tu. In today’s news, Australia provides emergency relief to Timor-Leste, new study in United Kingdom links coronavirus to psychiatric issues, Afghanistan starts rebuilding Master Rumi’s birthplace, India launches initiative to harvest rainwater, raccoon in the United States rescued from collapsed burrow, luxury fashion brand debuts cactus leather accessories, and American bald eagles continue to flourish. Island nation receives assistance after deluge. When heavy rains caused severe flooding across Timor-Leste, the government asked Australia for help. The kindly neighbor supplied US$5.4 million in emergency relief. This included personal protective equipment, temporary shelters, essential household items, funds for the Red Cross and other organizations as well as nutritional assistance through the World Food Programme. Australia is also working to ensure that the Timor-Leste government gets sufficient COVID-19 vaccine doses for its citizens. Australia is a recipient of five Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection and Good Governance; as well as a laureate of three Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Caring, Good Governance, Health Guardian and High Moral Value. Many thanks, Australia, for taking care of your mates to the north. We pray that the hospitable Timorese people will feel the reassuring embrace of God’s love. Mental health ailments more likely after coronavirus. Researchers at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom analyzed the health records of more than 236,000 patients who had COVID-19. They found that one in three survivors was diagnosed with either a psychiatric or neurological condition within six months of contracting the respiratory disease. For more severe cases that required hospitalization, the risk of subsequent brain issues was higher at 46%, and 7% of those suffered a stroke. The study’s authors report that the most common aftereffects were anxiety and mood disorders. Although individual risks may be small, commentators have noted that many consequences of COVID-19 appear to be long-lasting, and this could have a substantial impact on health and social care systems globally. We deeply appreciate your research and assessments, university scientists. May humanity band together to overcome the pandemic and unequivocally abandon the consumption of animals, in Celestial wisdom. Up next, Afghanistan starts rebuilding Master Rumi’s birthplace. We’ll take a moment to thank the cleaning supervisors who train and schedule housekeeping and janitorial staff for hotels, hospitals, office buildings and other establishments. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more illuminating news. Hallo, optimistic friends, how are you doing? I am Isla the vegan Indian Star Tortoise. My friends say that I uplift the energy and mood wherever I go. That’s because I am a happy vegan. Brighten up your surroundings by going vegan too! Here are some extra pandemic precautions you can take when you go outside. Since we often touch our faces and pick up food with our fingertips, it’s best to avoid using them in public. When you need to enter a PIN or make a selection on a screen, try tapping with a knuckle instead. Likewise, substitute a wrist or elbow when you want to activate a light switch or sink faucet. And you can protect your bare hand with the sleeve of whatever you’re wearing before you grab a door handle. Of course, you’ll still want to wash your hands thoroughly at the first opportunity, and be sure to put your soiled clothing in the washing machine when you get home. Thank you for tuning in and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the weather around our beautiful globe. Islamic teaching complex to be restored. Afghanistan’s Ministry of Information and Culture has announced the commencement of rebuilding a 13th-century mosque, religious school and monastery in the city of Balkh. The site is believed to have once been owned by Bahauddin Walad, a well-known professor of religious sciences and the father of Master Rumi. The facility will be built according to the original architecture with plans for a museum, library, gardens and a studio for the unique circling Sama (or the Universe) dance. Master Rumi uniquely used poetry, music and dance to convey spiritual truths that resonate in the heart. It is anticipated that when the reconstruction is complete, the campus will serve to introduce the poet’s life and teachings to many more people. Congratulations to the government of Afghanistan for undertaking this momentous project. We dream that it will spark a renaissance of love for the Divine, in Allah’s boundless grace. National campaign makes collecting rainwater a priority. On the occasion of World Water Day 2021, His Excellency Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India and a Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance laureate, launched Jal Shakti Abhiyan or Catch the Rain. Citizens are being asked to install rooftop rainwater harvesting structures in advance of the monsoon season. States will open “Rain Centers” in each district so that people can get technical guidance on catching the rain as it falls. As part of the program, reservoirs and dams will be inspected, water tanks will be cleared of silt, channel obstructions will be removed and abandoned wells will be repurposed to replenish aquifers. We salute your forward-thinking leadership, Prime Minister Modi, as you maximize Heaven’s blessings in the form of precipitation. We pray for the health and happiness of everyone in your noble country, in the radiance of the Providence. Two young brothers experience saving an animal’s life. As Daiton and Rylen McMillon of Texas, USA, were taking a walk through the woods near their home, they discovered a collapsed burrow with a raccoon trapped inside. The boys immediately notified their father, and the trio tried to free the distressed animal by digging around him. But progress was slow because there were slabs of buried concrete in the way, so they decided to call the Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. The experienced volunteers who responded to the call, put a catch pole around the furry one’s neck and shoulders and were eventually able to lift him out. After a quick check for any injuries, the mammal was released into the wilderness. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the McMillons and the crew from the rehabilitation center. Your selfless service is exemplary of how we humans should always care for our co-inhabitants, in Divine mercy. Coming up, luxury fashion brand debuts cactus leather accessories. We will take a moment to be thankful for the convenience of modern indoor plumbing that delivers water for drinking, cleaning and answering nature’s calls. More worthwhile news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Meaningful News for a Thriving World. Fashion company expands collection of vegan styles. Karl Lagerfeld x Amber Valletta is a new range of plant-based accessories featuring bags made from Desserto, a cactus leather. Ms. Valletta, a vegetarian supermodel and sustainability advocate, was a friend of the late Mr. Lagerfeld, who achieved global fame as a creative director and designer. His company is excited to be collaborating with the activist on new products that have a minimal carbon footprint. For example, its green and black K/Kushion bags are made from cactus that do not require herbicides or pesticides. The sandy-hued version uses 90% recycled cotton, colored with organic pigments. Ms. Valletta says, “If we can change fashion, we can change a lot of things and make people conscientious of the way they shop.” Kudos to Karl Lagerfeld and Amber Valletta for your pioneering partnership! In Heavenly upliftment, may all manufacturers champion animal rights in their business models and practices. Bald eagle populations keep on growing. The national bird of the United States has made a remarkable comeback since 1963, when there were only 417 known nesting pairs. Pressure on the species was greatly relieved when the synthetic insecticide DDT was banned in 1972. Ensuing decades of protection efforts succeeded in boosting the bird’s numbers to a little over 72,000 in 2009. Recently, the US Fish and Wildlife Service published its 2020 population update. Using aerial surveys and the eBird online database, the agency was able to estimate there are now at least 316,700 bald eagles. This is a greater than fourfold increase since the previous survey and covers the 48 lower states of America. Our hearts are touched, caring conservationists, by your determination to save these majestic birds. We pray that the sacred bond between humans and wildlife continues to strengthen, under God’s watchful gaze. We bet you won’t be able to hold back a laugh when you hear today’s joke entitled “Discriminating Taste.” “Daddy, do you know why the vegan yogurt went to see an art exhibition?” “I can’t imagine why, Lily.
