In today’s news, Japan supports humanitarian initiatives in Sri Lanka, United Kingdom helps enhance children’s immunization globally, plastic alternative to replace drink packaging launched by Dutch company, postal service adopts electric tricycle in Australian capital, Indian man serves veg foods to vulnerable people and animals, vegan food company sees exponential sales increase amid pandemic, and conservation group reverses regional extinction of pangolins in South Africa.

Japan assists Sri Lanka in coronavirus response.

Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, has donated more than US$1.2 million through the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka. The US$500,000 for UNICEF will help develop communication about risks, provide vital hygiene supplies, prepare isolation units and ensure children’s access to education and protection. The US$422,500 to the IOM will focus on supporting cross-border coordination for migrants and assisting ports of entry on health and border issues. Japan’s funding of US$250,000 to the IFRC will be used to supply daily necessities to isolated patients, share health and hygiene information with the public along with psychosocial support. We commend you, Japan, for your caring generosity. Heaven bless the spiritual people of Sri Lanka to flourish in safety and good health, in Buddha’s light.

United Kingdom contributes to global vaccinations for children.

The UK has pledged the equivalent of £330 million a year for the coming five years to the Switzerland-based Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, to support the immunization of 75 million children in developing countries. Since its formation in 2000, Gavi has vaccinated over 760 million children to prevent diseases such as measles, typhoid and malaria, saving over 13 million lives. Praising the UK’s recent donation, Bill Gates, a key contributor to Gavi and a Shining World Compassion Award Recipient, said, “When the world beats the COVID-19 pandemic and life returns to normal, Gavi - and the UK’s support of it - will be a major reason why.” We appreciate your on-going efforts to safeguard youth, United Kingdom and Gavi. We pray that more nations work together to facilitate the protection of the health of God’s precious children, in Divine radiance.

Up next, plastic alternative launched by Dutch company to replace drink packaging. We now pause to thank technical writers who turn difficult scientific material into clear and concise documents for us, such as articles, instructional manuals and training guides. We’ll be right back with more rejuvenating news on Supreme Master Television.

Hi kind viewers, it’s Kanga the vegan Matschie’s Tree Kangaroo! It’s a wonderful life - for all beings. So live and let live - be vegan! Here is a safe way to drive. Drivers who sit higher get a sensation they are moving slower than they actually are. Therefore, people driving SUVs may drive faster. If you lower the seat in your vehicle, you will get a more accurate feeling of your driving speed, and won’t feel like you need to speed up. This reduces the risk of danger to yourself and others, and also you won’t have to worry about a speeding ticket. Thank you for watching, and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, weather from around the world.

Dutch renewable and sustainable chemistry company to create all-plant material to replace plastic.

Avantium has partnered with drink companies including Coca-Cola to make a biodegradable and recyclable plastic replacement from plants. The material would be used to line drink bottles, which will have an outer layer of cardboard. Named YXY plant-to-plastics PEF material, the inner plastic layer would decompose within one year when composted. To create the material, plant sugars are separated into chemical structures and then rearranged into the bio-plastic material. It is expected to be available for use in bottles by 2023. What an awesome innovation, Avantium, Coca-Cola and other participating companies. Best wishes on your new project and may soon all bottles and packaging be made from Earth-friendly materials, in Heaven’s delight.

Australia Post lowers emissions with electric delivery vehicles.

The Australia Post, the government enterprise providing postal delivery, has deployed 163 electronic tricycles, called eDVs (electric delivery vehicles) in Canberra, Australia. The emissions-saving trikes are powered by a lithium-ion battery, can carry up to 195 kilograms, and have a maximum range of 100 kilometers and top speed of up to 45 kilometers per hour. If needed, by the end of 2020, another 100 of the eDVs will be added to the fleet to help with parcel deliveries brought about by the increase in online shopping due to the pandemic. The new vehicles are part of the 1,000 the Australian Post ordered in 2019 in support of its goal to reduce carbon emissions. Hurray, Australian Post! You are delivering in every way with your switch to eco-smart transport for a harmonious, green planet, in Celestial radiance.

Sikh man of 81 years provides free food to millions of people.

Baba Karnail Singh Khaira (also known as Khaira Babaji) fed two million people in 10 weeks during the COVID-19 lockdown from a free food outlet he operates on the side of the National Highway 7 near Karanji in Maharashtra, India. There are no other eateries along the stretch of 450 kilometers in the remote tribal region. During the lockdown, 17 cooks and helpers assisted to prepare and serve vegetarian food to the grateful people who ate there or took a bag of food away. In addition, about 250 dogs as well as cats, cows and other animals in the area were fed every day. When asked why he stays in this remote region to do this job, he stated “It’s the ‘marzi’ (will) of Wahe Guru... We are only His instruments in the service to humanity.” Humble Khaira Babaji, your selfless actions and devotion are an inspiration for all to behold. May your noble example inspire all people to seek God and serve others. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gladly present Baba Karnail Singh Khaira the Shining World Compassion Award, with gratitude and love in God’s mercy. May the Wahe Guru forever be by your side with all guidance and grace.”

Popular vegan meat brand sales soar.

Plant-based vegan turkey brand Tofurky has seen an “astronomical” rise in sales of their products since the COVID-19 lockdown in the United States. Compared to the same time last year, the increase in demand has been as high as more than 600 percent for some of their items. Other plant-based companies have seen a similar rise, with data from the Nielsen analytics firm revealing that sales of vegan meat from companies such as Beyond Meat and others increased 246 percent during the lockdown. Many thanks, Nielsen, for such encouraging news. Kudos, Tofurky, Beyond Meat, and all other plant-based companies whose delectable products are making it easy for more and more people to switch to the compassionate vegan way and save the world. May all animals soon be free to live in dignity and love as we ensure our actions are in accordance with the wisdom of the Divine.

Conservation group reverses regional extinction of pangolins in South Africa.

The African Pangolin Working Group (APWG), a nonprofit dedicated to the conservation of pangolins, released seven Temminck’s pangolins to a wildlife preserve, in the country’s KwaZulu-Natal Province, where they became extinct three decades ago. Through anti-poaching collaborations with the police, APWG rescues 20 to 40 injured pangolins every year, who undergo rehabilitation at the Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital, a Shining World  Compassion Award recipient. For two to three weeks before their release, recovered pangolins get daily walks of three to five hours in the preserve to familiarize themselves with their new habitat. After returning the shy mammals to the wild, APWG continues to monitor their health daily and then twice per week for two to three months. While five of the seven pangolins have survived nine months since their release, it is hoped that the reintroduction initiative can revive the vulnerable species’ population in the region. The International Union for Conservation of Nature classifies six out of the eight pangolin species as “endangered” or “critically endangered.” Our warm gratitude, African Pangolin Working Group, Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital and all involved in saving cherished pangolins. In God’s mercy, may we safeguard all living beings who immeasurably bless and enrich our world. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Thankfully present the Shining World Protection Award to the African Pangolin Working Group, plus US$10,000 in loving support of your devoted and caring work, with high praises and gratitude. May you and all involved be uplifted in Heaven’s blessings and protection.”

Did you have time to loosen up today? Now you can with a good laugh entitled “Nearby Office.”

“You are lucky. You don’t need to get up that early for work.”

“True. But still I don’t really like my work place so near my house.”

“Why not?”

“Because I can’t hear a complete song on the car radio while traveling there!”

And now we have a heartline from Dr. Mohan Kharel in Nepal:

Supreme Master Ching Hai & Supreme Master TV as a Window Freeing all the souls of sentient beings from sufferings, In addition to helping several to reach Nirvana while making this planet Heaven full of compassion and unconditional love through direct teaching or sharing through “Between Master and Disciples” programs. Supreme Master Ching Hai has made all those possible through Her true guidance by the unfolding of the universal truth of spirituality and philosophy through “Words of Wisdom” and other programs like “Cultural Traces Around the World,” where all religions and faiths have reason to come together. Where demarcations between castes, creeds, customs, cultures and nations are transcended, yet maintaining each one’s uniqueness. Reversing the negativity of the Kali Yug (consciousness limited to gross matter) to positivity. Thereby circulating the noble messages of individuals, communities and nations through “Noteworthy News” and other programs like “Science and Spirituality,” “Golden Age Technology,” “Healthy Living” and others. All those have been made possible through Supreme Master Ching Hai’s guidance. Most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai! You have lifted all beings! Evidence of this is reflected through more people turning from maya’s grip to Buddha Nature day by day. Those unimaginably hefty tasks must have been accomplished by no less than the power of Para Brahman (Ultimate Consciousness) and Adi Devi Shakti (Ultimate Goddess Power). Truly, all Bhagavan, Ishwar, Allah, Father, are manifesting through You. All sentient beings of this age are so lucky having You and Your window of teaching through Supreme Master TV. May the shower of Your blessings continue forever. May Supreme Master TV become a model for all other TV channels of the world and media systems to follow. Dr. Mohan Kharel Retired Professor, Tribhuvan University Kathmandu, Nepal
