In today’s news, Egypt sends aid to flood-stricken Sudan, survey reveals Asian consumers interested in vegan seafood due to safety and health-related concerns, small below-ground shelter becomes “art therapy” theater for residents in Ukraine, treasure trove of gold coins found under floorboards in house in northern England, United Kingdom, police rescue sailor from rough seas in the United States, Hong Kong beverage company launches dairy free yogurt products in Australia, and road closed for safer snake-people migration in United States.

Egypt sends relief supplies via air bridge to flood-stricken Sudan.

Over several days, five Egyptian military transport planes delivered tents, blankets, foodstuffs and medical supplies to flood affected regions in Sudan, to help ease the current crisis. The relief aid was provided by the Egyptian Ministry of Defense, and Ministry of Health, under the direction of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Sudan’s National Council for Civil Defence stated that the floods, which resulted from torrential rains that have continued since May, have claimed dozens of lives and displaced tens of thousands of residents. Egypt is a laureate of Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace and Earth Conservation. Our heartfelt appreciation, Your Excellency President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and Egyptian government, for your timely assistance and solidarity with your Sudanese brethren. We pray for the protection of the sincere Sudanese people, as well as for a kinder climate as people embrace a gentler way of life, in Allah’s Benevolence.

Report shows Asian consumers enthusiastic about vegan seafood offerings.

In a new survey, non-profit Good Food Institute Asia Pacific (GFI APAC) has identified that consumers in Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand are excited about plant-based and cell-cultured seafood products. Respondents from Thailand were the keenest, with approximately 75% of them finding alternative seafood options appealing and would likely purchase them in the future. According to the report, the surveyees’ intent to switch to seafood replacements was driven by safety and health-related concerns, such as mercury, heavy metal and microplastic contaminations in the fish-persons, along with foodborne illnesses and allergy issues. Additionally, “saving ocean habitats” and “reducing ocean plastic waste from fishing” were the two most important environmental benefits indicated. Other compelling reasons included reducing overfishing and harm towards marine animal-people as well as the negative climate impact of fishing and fish-people industrial raising operations. Many thanks for the informative report, GFI APAC. In Divine upliftment, may everyone quickly shift to the holistic vegan diet to restore both self and planetary health. Vegan: reinvent compassion.

Up next, small below-ground shelter becomes “art therapy” theater for residents in Ukraine. We’re just going to thank the freight agents who arrange shipments with freight companies on behalf of their organization, and track as well as make sure the deliveries are made on time.

Hallo, Earth-loving friends, it’s Garrett, a vegan dad from the Lesser Grison kingdom. My cousins and I regularly extol the benefits of caring for your extended family as a sure way to bring peace and harmony to the world. A strong family unit truly is a beautiful way to live. Here is a health tip for your older family members. A common issue often overlooked in senior citizens is dehydration. One of the reasons is that the signs of dehydration— fatigue, dry mouth, dizziness, and muscle cramps— are typically attributed to other medical conditions or medication side effects. Naturally, water content is less in the bodies of the elderly than in young people’s bodies. As a result, they should make it a habit to drink more water. Always leave a cup of water nearby your beloved senior. It’s a good practice to have them sip on water throughout the day. Try to incorporate liquids into their meals. For example, they could snack on cucumbers, which is a great source of water. Have them drink warm lemon water as soon as they wake up. They’ll surely feel a big difference in their bodies and this will help invigorate them for the day ahead! Thank you for tuning in. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. And now, the worldwide weather.

Tiny theater opens underground in an air-raid shelter in Ukrainian city.

Members of the Mykolaiv Theatre of Dramatic Arts utilized European Aid funding to construct a 35-seat venue for performances of their troupe, in a shelter four meters underground in the port city of Mykolaiv. The “stage in the shelter,” as it is called, recently held its first performance with volunteer actors. Previous performances by the troupe were in a 450-seat auditorium prior to the onset of war. Artistic Director Artiom Svytsoun wanted to provide “art therapy” for the distressed residents of the strategic port city, bombed almost daily for the past several months. Volunteer actress Marina Vassyleva expressed stirringly, “Actors in these circumstances are the doctors of the human soul.” We respect you, Mykolaiv Theatre of Dramatic Arts, for working tirelessly to provide mirth amidst sorrow. In Heaven’s generosity, may peace and harmony quickly return to Ukraine.

Ancient gold coins found in house in northern England, United Kingdom.

A large number of 18th century English gold coins have been inadvertently discovered under floorboards in a residential home in Ellerby, North Yorkshire. Renovations of a kitchen revealed 264 gold coins in a ceramic cup. Burrowed beneath concrete and floorboards, this is one of Britain’s largest coin finds on archaeological record, and are dated from 1610 to 1727. The coins are estimated to be worth around £250,000 and are scheduled for auction on October 7. Gregory Edmund, an auctioneer and senior numismatist with Spink & Son, said, “The coins almost certainly belonged to the Fernley-Maisters, Joseph and Sarah who married in 1694.” Spink & Son added that the Maisters were an influential mercantile family from the 16th century to the 18th century. What a rare finding! May the unexpected bring joy to our lives, in grace of the Providence.

Police in United States rescue a man who fell from his boat in choppy weather.

Lieutenant John Doherty and Officer Ben Tamash, from the Barnstable Sheriff’s and Mashpee Police Departments respectively, responded to a distress call while patrolling seas shrouded in fog and rain near Cape Cod in Massachusetts. They alerted the U.S. Coastguard that a sailor had fallen overboard, then quickly headed to the location of the emergency call. Once the pair arrived at the coordinates, they calculated where the man would be using ocean currents as their guide. Thankfully the sailor was found alive, after an hour of clinging to a floating object 1.6 nautical miles (or about 3 kilometers) from where he entered the water. The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office commended the officers for their life-saving actions. Our sincere thanks, Lieutenant John Doherty and Officer Ben Tamash, for risking your lives to save others. May you and all those who work to protect and serve the public be eternally blessed with safety and happiness, in the benevolent love of the Divine. “Be vegan now: don’t say that I haven’t told u about hell.”

Coming up, Hong Kong company launches dairy free yogurt products in Australia to meet increasing demand. We’ll just head over to the kitchen to enjoy a cup of refreshing cranberry juice.

Hong Kong beverage company brings dairy free yogurt to Australian market.

Due to the increased demand for plant-based products in Australia, Hong Kong-based soymilk company, Vitasoy, established in 1940, created a new product line of Greek style plant-based yogurt for sale. The delectable offering comes in four flavors: plain, vanilla, strawberry as well as mango and passion fruit. The nutrient-rich products are fortified with calcium, vitamin D and Vitamin B-12. The nondairy yogurt market was estimated to be worth over US$2.6 billion in 2021 and predicted to grow at an average rate of over 16 percent between 2022 and 2028. Awesome work, Vitasoy, on your well-received, nutritious and delicious new product line. We wish you success with vegan dairy-replacements in the Australian market and elsewhere, as the demand for these highly requested products grows, in Celestial delight.

Road shuts down in a United States National Forest for safer migration of snake-people.

Snake Road, in the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois, is home to 23 species of snake-people, some of which are considered endangered. The serpents naturally relocate from their summer abode in LaRue Swamp to their winter habitats in the limestone bluffs every year. While the 4.3-kilometer-long Snake Road remains open to foot walkers, the wildlife authorities in Illinois have closed it to vehicles for two months starting September 1, for the sake of protecting the snake- and amphibian-individuals and their families. The U.S. Forest Service announced that the road will also be shut down for the same reason during their spring return. Such admirable conservation efforts and thoughtful policies, wildlife authorities in Illinois and U.S. Forest Service. May all animal-people on our shared planet be safeguarded and cherished, in Heaven’s oneness.

It’s now time to exercise those facial muscles with our joke of the day titled, “Shepherds Don’t Count.”

A boy said to his friend:

“Do you know why shepherds never learn to count?”

“I don’t know.”

“Because if they did, they would always be falling asleep.”

?!
