United Arab Emirates (UAE) creates temporary hospital for earthquake victims in Afghanistan.
Using three planes, the government of the UAE delivered a 1,000 square-meter field hospital to an earthquake-affected area of Khost Province to provide medical assistance and continued care to the victims. The hospital has 75 beds, two operating rooms, and is staffed by a specialized field-doctor team. Previously, the UAE had sent 30 metric tons of lifesaving food supplies by air following the disaster in June. Both deliveries of relief were a result of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Ruler of Abu Dhabi and a Shining World Leadership Award for Protection laureate, ordering the establishment of an air bridge to Afghanistan. International researchers find Arctic warming much faster than previously thought.
Scientists from around the globe have determined that the Arctic is warming over four times faster than the rest of the planet instead of the prior estimate of two to three times quicker. The new discovery is due to a reduction in the timeframe of data used in climate modeling. Normally, a 30-year period is utilized to measure the heating of the planet; however, when 21 years was used instead, the result differed markedly. Furthermore, the researchers found that in 1986 and 1999, there were sudden spikes in warming, which had not been recognized by previous studies. Thank you, international researchers, for helping to determine that the Arctic region is heating up even faster than previously thought relative to the rest of the planet. The government of Lithuania recently financed a solar energy installation in Georgia’s Gori province to provide free electricity to those who have been displaced from Russian-occupied regions within the nation. Individuals in Skra and Sakasheti villages will receive electricity from the project, which cost €350,000. Georgian company Solar House participated in the construction of it, and the materials were purchased from Lithuania in January. Seventy-two year young Dr. Sheridan Steelman, a literature teacher at Northview High School in Michigan, USA, was ushered into retirement with a touching tribute for her many decades of service. Pupils and teachers lined hallways as she passed through the school for the last time. Videos of the memorable occasion went viral with over 6.5 million views after being shared on social media platform TikTok. When asked what she would miss the most, Dr. Steelman replied, “her students,” and “inspirational colleagues” and said that the farewell was a beautiful thing and made her feel like a million dollars. Hero Ukrainian dog-person brings joy to children in hospital.
Patron, a beloved mine-sniffing canine-guy, took some time off from his vital bomb detection work to visit injured and sick children at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lviv. The young ones smiled happily upon seeing the gorgeous two-and-a-half year old dog-individual, who has detected over 250 explosives to date. Patron’s human partner explained to the youngsters about keeping safe around explosives. A day earlier, on International Children’s Day, Patron visited kids at Dynamo Stadium in Lviv, which shelters many youth. In the Lviv region, almost 800 internally displaced children, 467 of whom are orphans, are under the government’s care.
Supreme Master Ching Hai has previously praised Patron for his work:
“(On May 8, President Zelenskyy awarded a medal to Ukraine’s famous mine-sniffing dog-person, Patron,) Oh, yeah. (and his caregiver to recognize their dedicated service. Patron has detected more than 200 mines since the Russian invasion. The award was presented in the presence of Canadian Prime Minister, His Excellency Justin Trudeau during his visit to Kyiv.)

So, he’s a big hero, and he’s beautiful. I would hug him, adopt him any time. But he became now a Ukrainian treasure, so nobody can touch him. Nobody can adopt him.”
