Qatari humanitarian organization provides Gaza hospitals with specialist medical support.

The Qatar Red Crescent Society has signed an agreement with Palestine’s Ministry of Health (MOH) for the MOH, as a beneficiary and partner, to continue to implement the Gaza Specialized Surgeries Support Project. One of the objectives of the initiative is to provide high-quality medical and surgical services by contracting with physicians specializing in cardiovascular surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, urology, pulmonology, and anesthesia. With US$1.4 million in funding, the project will enhance the staff and its ability at Gazan health facilities to serve an estimated 18,000 patients a year. The Qatar Red Crescent Society is a Shining World Compassion Award laureate. Our praises, Qatar Red Crescent Society, for your great care and support of our Palestinian sisters and brothers. In Allah’s blessings, may the courageous people of Palestine be always watched over with love.

Scientists determine environmental cost of losing seagrass beds in Sweden.

A team led by researchers at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden has conducted a study to calculate the environmental effects of the disappearance of seagrass off the west coast of Sweden since the 1980s. The eelgrass meadows had several meters of nutrient– rich sediment, making them global hotspots for nitrogen and carbon storage. When seagrass was lost, the carbon and nitrogen went back into the environment, thus worsening climate change and eutrophication. From 10 square kilometers of eelgrass disappearing over a 20-year period, 60,000 metric tons of carbon and 6,600 metric tons of nitrogen were released from a fjord in Marstrand alone. Thank you, University of Gothenburg and team of researchers, for informing us of the alarming effects of Sweden’s seagrass losses. In the compassion of the Divine, may we preserve and respect all ecosystems on our planet as we appreciate the vital role they all play.

Up next, university students in Massachusetts, United States take first place in solar car race. We’ll just thank the architectural illustrators who create 2D or 3D renderings of architectural projects that accurately reflect the details of design ideas. Vegan side effect: If people say: “I love you,” they mean it now!

Hallo, Earth-loving friends, it’s Sue the vegan Silky Sifaka. Did you know that you can make a difference in the world by being vegan? Yes, it’s true! Join me in saving lives today! Has your dog companion been good and deserves a tasty treat? Here is an easy, dog-friendly vegan “ice cream” recipe that calls for only 3 ingredients— 32 ounces or 907 grams of vegan plain yogurt, 2 medium-sized bananas and 4 tablespoons or 60 grams of xylitol-free peanut butter! Ensure the peanut butter is xylitol-free as this sugar substitute is detrimental to dogs. Combine the ingredients in a blender and mix until it’s smooth. Next, pour it into silicone molds. Set the molds in the freezer until the mixture is completely frozen. Then take them out of the molds and store the ice cream in the freezer. These treats are something your dog companion will enjoy! Thank you for tuning in. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. And now, the worldwide weather.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)’s solar electric vehicle wins first place in race.

The Nimbus, a solar car designed by MIT students in the US, recently won the American Solar Challenge event, which is held every two years. The participants travel on a designated route crossing the country covering over 1,609 kilometers while also being allowed to traverse additional kilometers as the winner is based on the total distance traveled. Completing 1,784 kilometers in 5 days, Nimbus drove at an average speed of 61 kilometers per hour, surpassing 8 other solar cars and went 160-plus kilometers further than the runner-up. The design team, which consisted of various engineering students, worked on the car for three years in the MIT Edgerton Center’s machine shop before this big win. Great work, and you are an awesome team, MIT students! In Heaven’s guidance, may humans choose truly productive and progressive activities as we adopt new compassionate habits for planetary survival.

Investing in safe management of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) yields return 21-times their cost.

A report by WaterAid, an international nonprofit, and Vivid Economics, a UK-based strategic economics consultancy, urges governments, international organizations, and businesses to focus on providing toilets, handwashing facilities and at-home tap water to everyone in developing countries to meet the access standards of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. The report states that it will lead to freeing up huge sums of money amounting to trillions of dollars over the next two decades and aid the economic recovery of these nations from the pandemic. It also noted that between 2021 and 2040, access to WASH could prevent up to six billion cases of diarrhea and 12 billion cases of parasitic worms. Thank you, WaterAid and Vivid Economics, for the important research. In God’s grace, may all soon have their pure water and hygiene needs met, while enjoying robust health.

Thirteen-year-old girl honored as India’s “youngest poetess.”

Amana, an eighth-grade student at Bishop Cotton Girls School in Bengaluru, started her literary career after she was encouraged by her schoolteacher, penning her first poem about COVID-19. She has since written 275 poems during pandemic lockdowns. Her first poetry book, “Echoes of Soulful Poems,” contains 61 compositions and was published in November 2020. She is now awaiting the publication of her second poetry book. The India Book of Records has designated Amana as the “Youngest Poetess in India,” and the Asia Book of Records has named her a “Grand Master” for writing poems at a young age. Congratulations, Amana, on your distinguished accolades. May you continue to inspire many with your soulful verses, in Divine creativity.

Coming up, new paper highlights plant-based proteins as a positive tipping point for global food and land use systems. Let us take a moment to thank God for Hiers presence that makes all things possible. Vegan: cuz we can’t run away from our guilt.

Plant-based proteins represent a positive “tipping point” for a healthy planet.

A recent report by the Global Systems Institute at the University of Exeter in the UK and others finds that a shift toward plant-based proteins represents a positive “tipping point” capable of ushering in a host of benefits for our planet. Swift decarbonization and safeguarding of biodiversity as well as improved food security and human health were cited as the favorable results of the dietary shift. The report noted that plant-based proteins would transform food and land use systems and serve as an irreversible, self-reinforcing change on the way towards global sustainability. This paper that was co-authored by the Food and Land Use Coalition, an international organization dedicated to transforming the way food is produced, and the system change company SYSTEMIQ had the input of farmers, indigenous groups, and more. Well done, authors. The sustainable and compassionate plant-based lifestyle is truly the way to preserve and celebrate life on our amazing planet, in Heaven’s grandeur.

Neglected, blind and frail horse embraces new life.

On June 4, 2021, an abandoned, blind horse, believed to be 18 to 20 years of age, was discovered standing alone on a dirt road in Riverside County, California, USA. The skin-and-bones horse, who was thirsty, starving, wounded on her neck, and in poor health condition, was taken into care by the County Department of Animal Services. Today, the horse, named Hope, is at her new forever home at the Far-From-Perfect Mustang Rescue, where she receives medical treatment, rehabilitation, along with lots of love and care. In an update posted on social media, the rescue group reported that Hope “is doing really good,” has regained some of her vision, is putting on weight, and her neck wound is healing. Bravo, Hope! Our deep gratitude, Far-From-Perfect Mustang Rescue and all involved, for saving Hope. May we consider the helplessness of our animal brethren and do our best to always care for them, in God’s enduring love.

Did you want to laugh? Let’s try this joke called, “Late Reasons.”

“For an entire week, you’ve been late for school. What is your explanation?”

“Because I’m in love!”

“In love? In love with whom?”

“In love with my bed!”

“But what about last week? Last week you weren’t late.”

“Well, that’s because my alarm clock got in between us.”

And now we have a heartline from Narlag in Mongolia:
