Meister Eckhart, was a German theologian, philosopher and mystic. He was one of the most influential 13th-century Christian Neoplatonists in his day, and remained widely read in the later Middle Ages. Meister Eckhart's most recognizable works are his deep and boldly expressed sermons. The main theme of these sermons is the presence of God in the individual soul, the dignity of the soul of the just human, as well as the soul's oneness with God.
