There are certain things that specifically record our deeds, speech, and thoughts. Then, our deeds, speech, and thoughts, whether right or wrong, will form a particular kind of atmosphere, and this will surround us. It will follow us wherever we go. While we are alive, it surrounds us. This, in science, is called a “person’s magnetic field.” Magnetic field. This magnetic field, even after a person dies, still surrounds his other kind of body. Unless you are a very great practitioner with tremendous spiritual power, you can dissolve it. Otherwise, it may take hundreds of years before it can be dissolved. It’s not that simple. After hundreds of years, that magnetic field will gradually disappear by itself. Either it transforms into another place, or it is affected by circumstances, or absorbed by others, until it disperses and fades away.
It’s like clouds. Like when we have a big factory, we cook many things, make many things, and then the smoke rises up, and it turns into very dark clouds. But these dark clouds cannot immediately disappear. So in some places, when there are too many factories, the entire sky becomes filled with black clouds (smog). That’s not good for people’s health. There are many such places in the world, where people, even though they are not sick, have to breathe using oxygen tanks. Have you heard about it? Have you watched it on TV? Like São Paulo, or some other places, where there’s not enough oxygen that people have to breathe from oxygen tanks. Even children already need to use oxygen tanks, because the area is surrounded by black clouds (smog).
In the same way, our inner atmosphere also gives out smoke. It also creates a kind of pleasant or unpleasant atmosphere, making people feel either comfortable or uncomfortable. We ourselves are the ones who create this, and we are the first to be affected. But others will also be affected. It’s like a person smoking: he harms his own body, but the people next to him, who breathe the smoke, also feel uncomfortable. Isn’t that so? That is why we, spiritual practitioners, are truly the ones who help others the most.
What do we do as spiritual practitioners? On one hand, we safeguard our actions, speech, and thoughts – not allowing ourselves to commit harmful deeds or entertain negative thoughts that could harm ourselves or others. On the other hand, we absorb the Yang energy from Above. We absorb God’s Power that blesses us, making us wiser and wiser, with more and more invisible spiritual Power. This can help ourselves and help others. Now, when I say “spiritual Power,” I don’t mean those kinds of “hula hula, hula, hoop” and then – ah! Showing off to others like that. No. I mean the transcendental spiritual Power. Naturally we help others. Sometimes we may not even realize it, but it can surely be felt. At times we might be aware, but it is not something we deliberately do. It’s like a flower – it doesn’t deliberately release fragrance; it is fragrance itself.
That kind of spiritual Power is the Power of the Buddha, the spiritual Power of Lord Jesus Christ. Not that kind of “hula, hula, hoop.” So, for us spiritual practitioners, the more our actions, speech, and mind become pure, the more wisdom we gain, the more power we have. Whatever work, whatever thing we do, it benefits ourselves and others. We become greater and greater. Then naturally we will radiate a very joyful, refreshing, beneficial kind of magnetic field. It will no longer be the dark, draining kind of magnetic field, heavy with karma
When Lord Jesus Christ was alive, He travelled on foot. Many people knew that He had great Power. There was one person who was very sick, and she secretly touched only the robe of Lord Jesus Christ, and her sickness was cured. From this, we cannot say that Lord Jesus Christ used some “hula, hula, hoop” magical power to heal her. No. Even Lord Jesus Christ Himself didn’t know at that time who had secretly taken from His Power. That’s why He looked around and asked, “Who just touched my clothes?” Only then did that woman tremble, come forward, and repent: “I just touched Your clothes. Now my illness is gone. Thank You! Please forgive me.” Then Lord Jesus Christ said, “OK, OK. It’s OK. As long as you are cured.” That is true spiritual Power. He did not deliberately use any kind of power. He Himself was the Power. Anyone who was connected with Him, anyone who came into contact with Him, would naturally benefit.
It’s like that. We also heard about a man who was deaf. Then Lord Jesus Christ helped him, and he was able to hear. But what he “heard” was not necessarily the same as what we “hear.” As far as I know, this kind of “hearing” is actually an “inner Hearing.” That’s why many of my disciples who are deaf can also hear the inner Buddha Sound, the Voice of God. We, with very normal ears, cannot hear that (inner Heavenly) Sound. We hear sounds of this world, but we are deaf to the Voice of God. So those deaf people, who became my disciples, cannot hear gossip or worldly talk of good or bad. But what they hear is the best (inner Heavenly) Sound: the most beautiful, the most pleasant, the most wise, the most helpful, the most life-saving (inner Heavenly) Sound. That is far better than listening to the gossip and disputes of the world. Therefore, hearing outside sounds is nothing great; hearing the inner (Heavenly) Sound is what truly matters.
This inner (Heavenly) Sound is not to be heard with the physical ears. If we can hear It ourselves, that is good. But if we cannot, we should find a Master who specializes in opening the “inner hearing faculty.” When the Master helps us to open this inner hearing faculty, then we can hear It. But when we hear It by ourselves, it may not be a high-level (inner Heavenly) Sound. Sometimes, we ourselves have heard the inner (Heavenly) Sound or seen the (inner Heavenly) Light already, but we still need to find an Enlightened Master to verify which level we are at. Then, with the Master Power, we are lifted to break through this level, and raised to a higher one. Understand what I mean? Sometimes, we have practiced in past lives, so in this life we can also hear the (inner Heavenly) Sound and can also see the inner (Heavenly) Light. But without an Enlightened Master, we cannot reach the Highest Realm. A living Master is someone who comes from the Highest Realm, so He or She knows the Way. Only then can He or She lead us to the Highest Realm.

(If it is done with good intentions, like lying for the sake of kindness, would that be a sin?) It’s best not to lie. If we want to attain the Truth, then we should speak truthfully. We will reap whatever we sow. We want to seek the Truth, but we tell lies – then the two go in opposite directions. And that will take us further away from the Truth.
(Master, we sincerely wish to receive initiation. But because we live abroad, due to circumstances such as residency and financial factors, our present food business involves using (animal-people) meat. In this situation, can we still receive initiation?) Then what do the locals do for a living? Do the local people also sell (animal-people) meat for a living? No. Then change your occupation.
You must change your occupation. You can sell vegan food, sell clothing, and grow vegetables. Whatever job we do, as long as it is enough for our needs, that’s better. Don’t go after a little extra money, and then when we die, our karma is too heavy and no one can save us. Then we will sink into a very dark and suffering place. At that time, money is useless. You can just live like the local people. They don’t have a lot of money.
For example, if we want to eat more, or indulge in luxuries today, then we have to work harder or deceive others more. This is not a good thing to do. We can live simply, eating vegetables and beans, which are very cheap here. Our life is impermanent. In ten years or just a few decades, and we are gone. It’s enough to raise our children until they grow up and can take care of themselves.
We should not live for money or pursue a life of luxury. That only harms our soul, our wisdom, and our eternal life. Do you understand? It is difficult, I know. Very difficult. But the Bible says, Seek you first the Kingdom of God, and everything else shall come along, shall come to you. Seek you first the Kingdom of God, and everything shall be added unto you.
(Master, most of the overseas Chinese people are engaged in the restaurant business. After initiation, can they still continue the same business? Many of them open restaurants, mostly Chinese people) Can’t they open vegan restaurants? Our Spanish people all eat vegan. (They like to eat steaks.) Only a few. It’s because you make the food tasty that they come to eat.
This is the bad habit that you, Chinese people, brought here, and you create heavy karma. Their ancestors, generation after generation, had never even known what (animal-people) meat was. They didn’t know how to cook it, and if they did, it was cooked poorly, so they didn’t eat it. They ate more beans instead. Now the Chinese come, skilled in cooking, using lots of MSG and seasonings, and people say, “Wow, meat tastes great!” They then spend their savings to eat the (animal-people) dishes you prepare. This kind of karma is so frightening. If the (animal-people) meat hadn’t been made tasty, they wouldn’t have eaten it. They didn’t know how to cook (animal-people) meat. They were used to cooking beans. Then we Chinese came and brought this taste with us. Oh my! I’m really frightened by it.
Yesterday, someone asked me: she herself is vegetarian, but her husband and children want to eat (animal-people) meat. Can she still receive initiation? I answered, “Yes.” Then why do I say “No” to you who sell (animal-people) meat and fish(-people)? Because the two situations are different. The outward action may look similar, but the circumstances are different. For example, if you are a wife, married to a husband, and you refuse to cook (animal-people) meat for him, the family harmony would be shaken, understand? He may even force you to cook (animal-people) meat; that is a different case. In your case, you choose to kill the chicken(-people) and pig(-people), and then serve their flesh to others. These two situations are different. But I tell you frankly: even if she buys (animal-people) meat and fish(-people) for her husband to eat, those whose Heavenly Eyes are open would see demons beating her. Each time she goes to the market to buy (animal-people) meat and fish(-people), she is beaten up by demons and falls to the ground. Then she crawls up and goes home to cook.
Because she has no choice. In this case, God will forgive her; she just gets beaten up by demons. But you have choice.
