In part 1 of our show, Dr.Hari Prasad Pokharel, a Nepalese Naturopathy doctor, writer and pioneer yoga teacher explained to us the different types of teachers and how precious a Sadguru is for humankind's spiritual development. On the same note, Supreme Master Ching Hai also commented as follows on the importance of having a Master and the grace of God in our spiritual practice. " If you have no Master, you don't know God, and you only know God through a Master, because the Master teaches you how to know God."

Today is the full moon day according to the Hindu calendar and an important day for many Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains. It’s Guru Purnima Festival, when they honor their spiritual teachers or gurus. In Sanskrit, guru means someone who removes darkness. In other words, a guru rids the ignorance in our souls and brings spiritual advancement. A master is someone who can expand our wisdom. Such a Sadguru (True Master), who can lead us in every step to a True Path.

Easter is a time to remember and express our heartfelt gratitude to Lord Jesus Christ, who selflessly showed the way to eternal life. God made you and God made me, He made the world for us to see. God loves you and long ago, He sent his Son to tell us so. Jesus showed us many things, To love and share and dance and sing. To learn and pray, to help and care, He promised he’d always be there. He died but then came back to life, let’s celebrate for he’s alive! Amen.

After the official ceremony, a cultural entertainment program by our Association members was presented for the 2000 guests, who then requested with warm applause for Supreme Master Ching Hai to sing some of Her own composition. Ever gracious and delightful throughout the proceedings, Supreme Master Ching Hai obliged, and the evening culminated in an exuberant and uplifting celebration of love. At the end of the evening, Supreme Master Ching Hai caringly contributed an additional US$450,000 to the six states to further assist in their flood recovery efforts.

“Seas of starlight. Thru the open eye. Sacred songs. From the empty space inside.” ”I have loved You long before there was time.” “Nothing to do. Nothing to be. Nothing to know.” “Silent sounds. Seeing without eyes.” The last sentence is kind of inner meditative experiences. It’s seeing without eyes and hearing without ears. Only when we experience that with our inner awareness. Then we understand what she talks about.

I wish the whole world and the entire universe a Happy Supreme Master Ching Hai Day. The Ching Hai Day is not only my day. It's your day. It's everyone's day! Everyone that did something good to your neighbors, to your pets, to the neighbor's pets, to the animals outside in the wild; anyone that helped any other beings, or respected and loved any other beings, including the non-sentient beings such as trees, plants, whenever possible; to them belong the Ching Hai Day.

In 1993, record floods swept through the six American states. Out of compassion for the people’s suffering, Supreme Master Ching Hai sent a relief team from our Association and lovingly contributed US$170,000 in humanitarian aid. The following year, on February 22, 1994, the governments of six American states and the World Cultural Communication Association hosted a splendid gala in Chicago, Illinois to thank and recognize Supreme Master Ching Hai for her immense kindness. The award ceremony included the presentation of the World Spiritual Leadership Award, the unveiling of five bronze statues of the Honoree, speeches of gratitude by the representatives of each US state, and the official proclamation of February 22 as Supreme Master Ching Hai Day.

Music is part of the country’s rich cultural heritage and has long been intimately connected with the lives of the Afghan people. Women have participated in the making and playing of Afghan music for centuries. The 1960’s and 1970’s are considered the golden age of Afghan music and Afghan women singers. Apart from music, many distinguished Afghan women have contributed to the country socially, politically, and economically. What marvelous achievements by generations of Afghan women!

Named after a Persian goddess of music, Zohra, the country’s first all-female orchestra is composed of 30 young women ranging in age from 13 to 20 years. This unique ensemble can be traced to the Afghanistan National Institute of Music (ANIM). ANIM’s founder, Dr, Ahmad Naser Sarmast, was the first Afghan ever to earn a PhD in musicology. The Lunar New Year or Spring Festival is the most widely celebrated holiday in many Asian countries. It’s a time for getting together with family and friends. To mark the Lunar New Year, our Association members hold international retreats to meditate for world peace and celebrate as one big global family. One way to describe naïve art is to say that it's art that makes you smile. It translates the experiences of daily life and lightens them up. Some of the subjects featured in naïve art include weddings, summer, nature, and Bible stories. This type of artwork is produced on a wide variety of surfaces, from pieces of wood to surfboards, and can be created using many media, such as acrylics, oils, pencils, pastels, crayons, and chalk. If you feel removed from your busy life while staring at a vibrant, colorful painting, and experience yourself being transported to memories of childhood, you'll most likely be looking at a piece of naive art.

John Bramblitt was born in 1971 in El Paso, Texas, USA, and his art has been sold in over a hundred and twenty countries. According to CNN, John Bramblitt believes he could draw before he could walk, and possessing a photographic memory proved invaluable to him later in life when he lost his eyesight. Besides drawing, painting, and illustrating, he also loves sharing written stories with friends and family. Drawing and painting became the best ways to cope with his frequent visits to the hospital in childhood.

In Part 7, we meet the Flower Queen and her lovely flowers as they dance for Clara and the Prince to the tune of Tchaikovsky’s classic piece, “Waltz of the Flowers.”
