A recent poll reveals that a majority of voters in crucial election states, meaning these states have a high likelihood of deciding the US presidential contest, prefer President Trump. The poll, conducted by Ipsos, surveyed 1,598 likely voters in seven key swing states, including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Participants responded that they believe President Trump has more political experience and would do a better job on immigration, the economy, and dealing with crime and corruption. Meanwhile, the International Association of Fire Fighters has decided not to endorse the Democratic nominee for the 2024 presidential election. It represents a significant shift from the union’s early endorsement of the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in 2020. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, a workers union that has backed the Democratic candidate in every presidential election since 1996, also declined to endorse the 2024 Democratic nominee.
