“Oh Lord, I love You and ask naught for myself But for the sake of all beings in the worlds, Under Your Will, May each one find his Peace.

There were times tomorrow wouldn’t arrive; I waited all night feeling very, very tired. My soul was immersed in an endless nightmare, Struggling so hard to be free from the sea of misery. Like a bird in the middle of a stormy sky, Like a hound getting ready to die, Like a child reaching out with a silent cry, Immense oceans couldn’t contain my melancholy.

There were times the Sun would not rise; I prayed in vain for the future to arrive. Like in a coma, I lay in the long darkness, Praying for tomorrow to quickly come by. Like a bird in the middle of a stormy sky, Like a hound getting ready to die, Like a child reaching out with an utter cry, Immense oceans couldn’t contain my melancholy.

One drop, two drops, through the years. One drop, two drops, silent tears.

There were places where spring wouldn’t visit; I waited hopelessly for cherry blossoms to bloom. White snow everywhere, instead of sacred bells pealing, To herald the New Year, only the cold wind’s whistling. Like a bird in the sudden of a stormy sky, Like a hound getting ready to die, Like a child reaching out with an utter cry, Immense oceans couldn’t contain my melancholy, So it went – the rain came, followed by falling leaves.

Day and night, time flowed indifferently! My heart still felt there was something incomplete, Perhaps it was a love I’d never discovered before. Like a bird in the middle of a stormy sky, Like a hound getting ready to die, Like a child reaching out with an utter cry, Immense oceans couldn’t contain my melancholy.

I want to throw away my heart... This little heart of mine... Let him take my heart away... What can I do with my heart? (One drop, two drops…)

I want to find the celestial granaries To scatter grains over the mountains, Forests, to feed all the birds When I see in wintry gusts, Poor creatures on ragged wings Looking for leftovers.

I want to bring nourishing food To the wild, wandering felines Living furtively in the ruined temples, Weakened from the burning days And frozen nights.

I feel pity for the deer in the Rocky Mountains, Wandering all day for a few dry leaves On steep hills as sad as old cemeteries. Where can they find sweet water and grass?

God’s heart is forever desolate, Saving the world is a difficult mission. I kneel, wishing to believe in God And beg Him to repair His creation.

When You cast Your glance into the sea, O magnificent Beloved, All the fish will become dragons And they’ll fly up to the clouds. Blessing rain will then start pouring down, Fertilizing the field of human virtues and merits.

Each tear becomes a star, Bright jewels in the sky. They light the path of those who seek, May each one find his Peace.”

Oh, thank you, Mr. Boyer. Thank you! Thank you very much to all the wonderful performers in the “The Peace Seeker.” That was magnificent! And we now want to take you on a journey of a different kind. Much of what you are hearing this evening is poetry written by the Supreme Master Ching Hai.

Her poetry embodies the theme of “One World” – “One World of Peace Through Music.” With a rich background in a variety of artistic skills and a dedication to humanitarian activities for World Peace, Supreme Master Ching Hai has committed Her life to this ideal. Let’s watch together a short video entitled “Walk the Way of Love.”
