Supreme Master Ching Hai (Vegan) on the Harmful Effects of Meat, Part 19 - Against Universal Religious Tenets

Supreme Master Ching Hai (Vegan) on the Harmful Effects of Meat, Part 19 - Against Universal Religious Tenets

Well-versed in many religious teachings and practices, Supreme Master Ching Hai has graciously explained this core principle. “There are Ten Commandments in the Bible. The first one is ‘Thou shalt not kill.’ When we kill any living being, we commit the act of kill. As long as it has life, it counts as killing. It doesn’t say ‘not to kill people’; it says ‘not to kill,’ meaning not to take any life. Similarly, in Buddhism, the first precept is the most important and it is also not to kill.” “And in Buddhism, the law of cause and effect is absolute and exact. Whatever you do to others, it will be done to us in some way or another. Not only Buddhism, Christians say the same, ‘As you sow, so shall you reap.’ And any other religion you look carefully, you will see the law of karma, the cause and effect: whatever you do, it will be done to you. Therefore, Confucius said, ‘Do not do to others what you do not desire for yourself.’ Because He also knew the law of cause and effect - meaning whatever you do, you will get the result, the bad or good.” “Most of the time we study but we do not practice. For example, Christianity, the Bible says ‘Thou shall not kill’ and ‘do not be among the meat eaters and wine drinkers.’ Not be among them even, not to talk about become one of them, like meat eaters. These are very simple things, but I think many of us have overlooked. And the Buddha also taught us to be vegetarian, not to eat any sentient beings at all because they’re all our relatives and friends – meaning we are all interconnected. Hinduism teaches the same, Jainism teaches the same: avoid killing of any manner.” “Obviously, the eating of any kind of animals, sentient beings is absolutely forbidden in all main belief systems and holy teachings. Yet too many of God’s children, or religious believers, are not following these basic guidelines, because we have been led astray by misconceptions that we need to eat the flesh of animals, fish, eggs and milk to be healthy. The opposite is true – it has been proven in scientific and clinical studies that consuming animals causes innumerable diseases in humans, such as cancers, all kinds of cancers and heart diseases, thus early death, and endless sorrow, suffering before that. Our original diet, as per the Garden of Eden, is the vegan diet. It promotes both physical and mental and spiritual wellbeing. We can live happy, healthy lives, thriving purely on plant foods.”

Shining World Compassion Award: Fawaz Kanaan of Save Dubai Stray Cats

Cats are beautiful, sensitive and majestic animals with extraordinary abilities. However, as cats have adapted to becoming human companions, they do not fare well when left to fend for themselves outside. Roaming the streets comes with many dangers, including starvation, exposure to a multitude of diseases, other aggressive animals, etc. The number of stray cats in the Emirates has recently reached a hundred thousand, and in Dubai, tens of thousands. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Fawaz Kanaan has been feeding and rescuing stray cats from the streets of Dubai. Working nights and weekends as an event organizer and a rock DJ frees up time for him to help animals. “The ones that needed to be treated, I bring them to the vet. We treat them, we put them back in the same spot.” Through social media platforms such as Facebook, Mr. Kanaan has raised awareness and helped many cats find loving homes, both locally and internationally, including in Canada, the United States, Russia, Germany, Belgium and the UK. Deeply grateful for his compassionate initiatives, Supreme Master Ching Hai presented Mr. Kanaan the Shining World Compassion Award. "Dear Fawaz, It is with great admiration and gratitude that we present to you the Shining World Compassion Award for saving, then re-locating felines. This Award is presented in recognition of your impressive initiative to rescue stray cats from the streets of Dubai, then re-home them into forever loving homes. Your untiring efforts herald a new era of empathy and harmonious co-existence with our precious animal friends." "May Allah shower you and all involved with all love and blessing. With Great Honor, Love and Blessings in Allah’s Grace Supreme Master Ching Hai." "To Supreme Master Ching Hai, I really want to say a big thank You for this award and for this recognition. I’m honored, to be honest. I hope this message will reach everyone, animal lovers, and non-animal lovers so they will be animal lovers."

Use Our Wisdom, Part 2 of 10

Use Our Wisdom, Part 2 of 10

Because building something big is disturbing the earth a lot and sacrifices many trees and plants and insects, and maybe birds or squirrels, their area. They’ve been living in there. And you never know when they have their nests or something, and babies just born, or their eggs. It’s not a very nice thing for them. There was a former vice president of Taiwan (Formosa), she came to visit me again just a few days ago. No, last week. I think it was Saturday last week. And then we talked and then she told me many things and I told her things. And she said people should do this, do that. Other organizations, they’re planning to build this, build that, like temple stuff. I said, “We don’t build anything anymore. These things already exist, so we use them.” Because building something big is disturbing the earth a lot and sacrifices many trees and plants and insects, and maybe birds or squirrels, their area. They’ve been living in there. And you never know when they have their nests or something, and babies just born, or their eggs. It’s not a very nice thing for them. I don’t really like building anything. It costs too much manpower, time, finance, and the earth. It costs something to the environment. I don’t always feel very comfortable building anything. That’s why whenever I find a cave or whatever’s simple, I like to stay there. I feel happier that way, that I don’t disturb anyone at all. But your brothers and sisters tell me, “It’s the twenty-first century already. You don’t have to live in a cave anymore, Master.” I said, “Why? I’m a cavewoman. Everybody knows that since a long time already. I got used to it.” But there’s a cave here. It has already served its time. It’s getting dangerous now to stay there, so they dug me out. But still, I don’t really feel like moving, but I don’t want everyone to get worried about my safety. So, it’s sensible to move out. Twenty-first century. We had 20 many centuries, not just 21. Twenty-one is counted since the Lord Jesus Christ only. Before that, we existed a long, long, long time. Many civilizations came and went. Many Masters came and went, either anonymously or recorded in history. So many. In the beginning, we came here from the Brahman Heavens. That was the beginning of humankind. We could fly. We had magical power. We could communicate telepathically without ears. We could see thousands of miles away. And then we began to taste this and that. And then we ate more solid food, and then we became more solid. That’s why we cannot fly. And then we even began to eat raw meat, kill other beings, lesser beings, to eat. And then, after that, we discovered fire and then we ate more because it maybe tasted better. And then we discovered other plants, combined with the meat, and so on and so forth. And then our body became coarser and coarser, and heavier and heavier, and our mind also became clouded. Our soul, because it’s connected with the mind and the body, also felt dragged down. And that’s the result of us: the way we look, the way we behave right now. And then, because we liked to eat more and more, we began to fight with each other for food. And then we needed houses because the body became weaker. The immune system – used to be more refined, more holy, more wholesome – became weaker and weaker with each generation, with each day that passed, because we ate too many different things and animals and stuff. And then we had to fight with each other for survival. And then we needed governments to regulate the laws that make the rules. And then we needed the police to keep the rules. And then the ones who don’t understand the rules are thrown in prison and get angry, come out and revolt, etc. And the more and more karma all the time. So, even now after initiation, we still have the karma. Even though the maya’s gone, the karma is already there, it cannot disentangle from the body because it’s like tearing your flesh. To squeeze out the blood or try to squeeze out the blood out of your flesh, something like that. It would be horribly painful. Physically speaking or even spiritually speaking, it’s impossible. You can stretch out, baby. Stretch it out or I’ll show you how. I cannot. Stretch it out. What is it? (From Your attendant.) Oh, let me think. I’ll give him the key. I forgot. I forgot that they came back, so we locked the house. Can you please give it to him, to the person who gave you the note? (OK.) Thank you. Tell him, “Not one key missing.” Just joking. I can trust them. If they’d like to take my dress, then I will have an excuse not to wear it anymore. It would be nice. That’s the only valuable thing there. I don’t think they want to. And then they will talk like the sisters.Sometimes they come to my house, they help me to clean the house when I don’t have a lot of time, or when I need the muscle to move some furniture. And then they wear the gown and the gloves and all that, and the hats, you know, those kind of hats for cooking, so the hair doesn’t fall out. And they also wear special shoes to come in the house, so I don’t have to clean again. And they wear gloves, so I don’t have to smell their sweat. There are two different people; they smell different. One person is already unbearable. Men, they smell stronger than women. I don’t know why. What’s wrong? What did you eat? What did you guys eat? (They sweat.) They sweat? You don’t sweat? Sure, they work harder than women. Breadwinner and stuff. And then we criticize, like I did last week. I said, “The smell put me off.” But they have to sweat, they work harder. And don’t ever try to smell their socks. You will faint. Normally, [when] they come to my house, they wear slippers to come in but their socks are still on. And then even if they work right at the entrance, I still smell it. I said, “Did you change your socks today?” He said, “Oh, sorry, Master. No time. Urgent to come here. Can You smell from there, Master?” I said, “Of course!” Why do you think I live alone? Single still. They sweat so easily. So, they wear the gown, like overalls, so they don’t lean on my sofa or whatever, or their socks might touch something. Sometimes they forgot to bring their slippers, so I said, “OK, never mind. Just go in with socks. Don’t go in with the dirty shoes, then it’s OK.” Because the shoes are sometimes muddy. They go to the public toilet and stuff like that. So they went in with their socks. Three days after, I still smelled it! If I have no time to clean, then I smell it for three days. It’s not so strong but it’s there, and I know it is because it’s not mine. Anyway, last week I was just being a little bit bad joker. Forgive me, guys?I do love you. Love and like are different things. So, I cannot just love and like at the same time. Or sometimes I can like but not love. Very difficult to love and like together. I don’t know why. Don’t ask me. That’s why I was wondering how you stay married so long. I really admire you so much. I really, truly mean it. I really mean it. (Karma.) Karma. Yeah. Possible. And not just those who stay because of children or because of together banking account or mortgage the same house or it’s a pity to leave this fancy car. It’s not that, but those who love, really love, love, love, love so much. And then one time, one of your brothers asked me, “Master, You still feel like You love somebody?” I said, “What? I don’t know what love is.” Really, I really don’t. The way he asked about love, I don’t know that love anymore.I love everyone, everything, every being, but I don’t know that kind of love. That’s very narrow, actually. The moment you say you love somebody and he loves you back, it begins creeping in, this possessiveness and anxiety and jealousy. “Does he really love me? He loves me. He loves me not.” “She loves me. She loves me not. Don’t know. Not sure.” “Why is he coming home late today? He loves me. He goes out. He goes with somebody. He doesn’t go with somebody. He sits somewhere in the coffee [shop] alone, maybe because we fought last night. Oh, man!” No end. There is no end to all these stories. It begins like that, even if you don’t want to. Even the most loving couple, sometimes it’s creeping in your mind, just to make trouble. The mind makes trouble. And woe to the man if he just side looks at another woman. Even if she’s not pretty, you think she is. That is the problem. And even if another man doesn’t look all that attractive, but the husband thinks, “Why is she looking at him? Or she just pretends to look in that direction, but she’s looking at him, isn’t she?” And you think he is attractive. In your mind, he is. Maybe she doesn’t care. Many times, I talked to people outside, the married couples; they really value each other. Not that everybody just goes out and are always sidetracked, and looking at other women, or desiring the other person. It’s not really like that. They really like and love each other, and it’s a happy thing. It’s a very good thing. In this life, it’s very lonely. If you don’t have some good neighbors with you, or friends who come and go in your house, you will feel very lonely to stay in a flat all by yourself. And then you come out, and then somebody begins talking to you, and then you feel like, “Oh, this person may be my company, my life companion.” Stuff like that. The mind keeps saying things. So, I know why on Sundays you come here. Maybe nobody comes and talks to you. No need, right? Now you have a lot of friends. So, come back to the story. And after we became heavier and heavier, our minds became duller and duller, and all the senses became more real, more real and then they began to control us. Like, the nose loves to smell something pleasant; the mouth wants to eat something nice. The more you eat, the more you want, and then slowly, slowly, we eat a lot. And then we know much less than we did before. And we have less capability than we did before. I mean, real capability. Before, whatever we wanted, we just wanted it, it would come. And now, we can pray, and we can work hard for two, three years, then we can get what we want, with a mortgage even. Thank you so much! And then work hard again to pay interest. And if you lose your job, yeah, yeah, you know. In some countries, you could become homeless just like that, overnight. And you lose your house, you lose everything because everything is on loan, or at least half loan, not paid completely. When I was in America, I saw many people, they advertised in the newspaper or something, “Please come take my house if you can afford to pay so-much, so-much per month. Please come, it’s free for you. Just continue to pay, I cannot afford.” Is that true? Right, brothers? (Yes.) I felt so sour in my heart. My God, they worked so hard. They paid halfway or two-thirds already, but if they could not continue, then the bank took over or whomever. I thought, my God, it should not happen like this, especially in America! We, in many countries, have the idea that America is a very rich country, very secure for everyone, but it isn’t always like that. When it comes to recession time, they call it or something like that, people just lose jobs, and they don’t have enough money even to take care of any other things, except for themselves. And the whole family sometimes moves to some charitable shelter or something. And once you’ve lost the job, once you’ve lost your house, you have no address. You cannot go find a job if you don’t have a mailing address. One thing leads to another.

The United States government, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, contributed an additional US$2 million to the United Nations Children’s Fund’s (UNICEF’s) efforts to decrease the transmission of the virus and lessen its effects on children and their families. The focus will be on the most vulnerable populations, including internally displaced persons, migrants, refugees, returnees, and conflict-affected host communities. Assistance measures include risk communication and community engagement for 300,000 people in affected areas, access to community-centered child protection services for 7,000 individuals, and cash transfers for 200 vulnerable families. In addition, approximately one million frontline health workers, teachers, business owners, and service providers will benefit from the funding. Many thanks, United States and UNICEF, for your generosity. We pray for the peace and health of our Libyan sisters and brothers, in Heaven’s loving embrace.Environmental group calls for immediate and lasting shift to plant-based food system. In a new report, international environmental NGO Greenpeace warned that in order to meet Paris Climate Agreement goals, all European Union member states should urgently redesign their food and farming policies to achieve at least 70% reduction in meat and dairy consumption by 2030. Entitled “Farming for Failure – How European Animal Farming Fuels the Climate Emergency,” the report states that after including deforestation and land degradation associated with growing animal feed, the EU’s livestock emissions are significantly higher than the 656 million metric tons emitted by all of Europe’s cars and vans. The report asserts that shifting to plant-based diets would not only avert a full-blown climate breakdown, it would also address other crises, including biodiversity loss, air and water pollution, animal-borne outbreaks such as COVID-19, and other diseases. Many thanks for your urgent recommendations, Greenpeace. May all governments swiftly implement laws for a safe vegan world, in Divine wisdom.Up next, Australian state commits to reforestation. I’ll bet you are if your diet is vegan! When plants are closely clustered together as they often are in small containers, humidity levels can rise causing increased fungalgrowth. To prevent fungus from forming in your indoor garden, see if you notice the air feeling damp and sticky or moisture condensing on the inside of your windows. You can help eliminate humidity by opening a window, turning your air conditioner on, using a dehumidifier, or directing a gentle breeze from a fan towards your cherished plants. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for watching. And now, the weather around the world.Australian state begins reseeding forests using helicopters. With over half the area of its national parks and nature reserves affected by the recent bushfires, the state of Victoria has carried out a US$5.5 million reseeding initiative. Helicopters dropped over 4.5 metric tons of eucalyptus seeds on almost 11,500hectares of land decimated by fires. The seeds will eventually grow into some of the nation’s iconic eucalyptus trees, such as the Mountain Ash, which is the tallest flowering plant in the world, and the Alpine Ash, which can reach up to 90 meters in height. The funding for the initiative comes from Victoria’s US$79 million State Recovery Plan. Bravo and thank you, Victoria, for your efforts to support the regrowth of your magnificent forests. We pray that climate change-related fires will someday be no more, through humans’ return to benevolence.Microplastics filter invented for outboard boat motors. The Japan-headquartered Suzuki Motor Corporation has developed a microplastics filter that attaches to outboard motors 40 horsepower and higher, and cleans seawater as the machine operates. Placed in the outgoing water hose, the filter collects microplastic waste from water used to cool the engine, and does not affect the motor’s efficiency. During testing, a significant amount of plastics was found in the filter. Suzuki will continue testing internationally before eventually making it a standard feature of their motors. What a brilliant idea, Suzuki. May the caring consciousness behind your innovation be emulated by manufacturers of all kinds, as we do all we can to clean up our planet.Police in Canada use technology and teamwork to rescue six-year-old. The Ontario Provincial Police was first alerted by the mother of a special-needs boy who had been missing in the woods for about 45 minutes. As it was already dusk, police immediately assembled a search team with the Canine and Emergency Response Team, and OPP Aviation, which included a helicopter specially equipped with night vision technology. Shortly after midnight, an outline of the child lying on the ground was picked up by the helicopter. A nearby canine unit was laser-guided by the helicopter’s pilot to reach the youngster, who thankfully was in good condition. Kudos, Ontario Provincial Police, and all canines and officers participating in this effective team rescue. May the reunited family have a wonderful life full of many safe adventures, in Heaven’s protection.Coming up, renowned musician benefits from plant-based lifestyle. God’s Mercy and Truth is in Everything: From The Guide for the Perplexed by Maimonides (vegetarian), Part 2 of 2

God’s Mercy and Truth is in Everything: From The Guide for the Perplexed by Maimonides (vegetarian), Part 2 of 2

Let us now continue with a selection from Part 3, Chapter 12, from Rabbi Moses ben Maimon’s book entitled, “The Guide for the Perplexed.” “These words are immediately followed by the explanation that man himself is the author of this class of evils, ‘But man is born unto trouble.’ This class of evils originates in man’s vices, such as excessive desire for eating, drinking, and love; indulgence in these things in undue measure, or in improper manner, or partaking of bad food. This course brings diseases and afflictions upon body and soul alike.” “The error of the ignorant goes so far as to say that God’s power is insufficient, because He has given to this Universe the properties which they imagine cause these great evils, and which do not help all evil-disposed persons to obtain the evil which they seek, and to bring them to the aim of their desires, though these, as we have shown, are really without limit.” “The virtuous and wise, however, see and comprehend the wisdom of God displayed in the Universe. Thus, David says, ‘All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.’” “All the difficulties and troubles we meet in this respect, are due to the desire for superfluous things; when we seek unnecessary things, we have difficulty even in finding that which is indispensable. For the more we desire to have that which is superfluous, the more we meet with difficulties; our strength and possessions are spent in unnecessary things, and are wanting when required for that which is necessary. Observe how Nature proves the correctness of this assertion. The more necessary a thing is for living beings, the more easily it is found and the cheaper it is; the less necessary it is, the rarer and dearer it is.” “In these two ways you will see the mercy of God toward His creatures, how He has provided that which is required, in proper proportions, and treated all individual beings of the same species with perfect equality.”

A Gentle Stroll in the Classical Garden with Frédéric Chopin, Part 2 of 2

A Gentle Stroll in the Classical Garden with Frédéric Chopin, Part 2 of 2

Frédéric Chopin was one of the most original, gifted, and uplifting artists of the 19th century. He mesmerized audiences with his technically astounding yet poetically expressive performances. In his short lifetime, he gave only 30 large public concerts, preferring his intimate, glorious music to be played in smaller gatherings, such as in the salons of Paris, where he spent the latter years of his life. Let’s now enjoy the third movement of Chopin’s Piano Sonata No.3 in B minor. The sonata was dedicated to Countess Emilie de Perthuis, and is considered to be one of Chopin’s most technically difficult compositions. This third movement is “Largo,” meaning with a slow tempo. It starts with a dotted rhythm moving in a steady pace, before the middle section transforms the mood with a more dream-like texture. Finally, the main theme comes back, with a purling accompaniment in triplets. The piece is performed by the exceptional, award-winning Polish pianist, Mr. Grzegorz Niemczuk. His music not only embodies, but transcends, Romanticism with its poetic, harmonic universally empathic expressions. Let’s listen to the final movement of Chopin’s Piano Sonata No.3 in B minor played by the amazing vegan professional pianist, Dr. Chang Shao-Hsun from Taiwan, also known as Formosa. This piece is infused with vigor and inexplicable coalescence of energies and brilliance, all of which require full strength and technical virtuosity from the pianist. Frédéric Chopin, what a musical gift from God! We thank Dr. Chang Shao-Hsun, Mr. Grzegorz Niemczuk, and all of the other talented musicians for allowing us to enjoy the extraordinary works of Chopin.

Dolly Vyas-Ahuja (vegan)- A True Voice for Ahimsa, Part 2 of 2

00:16:01

Dolly Vyas-Ahuja (vegan)- A True Voice for Ahimsa, Part 2 of 2

With her endless enthusiasm, Dolly has become friends with virtually everyone on the who’s who list of the animal rights movement in India and the USA. One person she is particularly close to is the renowned author, environmentalist, social justice advocate, and animal activist Dr. Sailesh Rao, a Shining World Award for Earth Protection laureate, who is also one of the key originators of the Internet as we know it today. “He talks about all this methane that is going into the air. He’s also talking about us chopping down the forests. Now, every 10 seconds, the Amazon forest is being chopped down for animal agriculture. So, animal agriculture is the number one reason for ocean dead zones, habitat destruction, environmental devastation, and these things have to change.” Dolly’s activism has taken her around the world. In India, she delivered a rousing speech at the World Vegan Conference in New Delhi in July 2019, about the harmful effects of dairy. “And God, Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna, Lord Jesus, Lord Buddha is full of compassion and love. They're trying to teach that, do not harm anyone, do not separate a mother and a child. So, I think we really need to understand what God is trying to say. And that is to live with compassion. That should be number one.” Dolly recognizes that dairy consumption is deep-rooted in Indian culture, which is one reason why she is working hard on her documentary film as a way to change the misconceptions in her motherland. “Once people find out the truth of who they really are, which is compassion, they want to change. They start thinking about this deeply. And I think that veganism is such a powerful movement right now, and it's growing so fast, because, if we don't go vegan, we are hurting our planet, and we really need to secure it for our future generations.”

Use Our Wisdom, Part 3 of 10

Use Our Wisdom, Part 3 of 10

So, every day you have to pray and thank all beings for the meal you eat. Thank God, of course, above all. And thank all involved in the meal you eat. Thank the farmers who toil, rain and shine to take care of the vegetables or the food that comes onto your table.I thought, my God, it should not happen like this, especially in America! Many educated people, high-paid persons before, succumb to this kind of situation. And they end up becoming homeless or staying in some shelter temporarily. And nowadays, some organizations, they lend the addresses to give the homeless people a kind of stable place, so that they can apply for jobs. When you go to an interview, the company, the staff manager that interviews you, he doesn’t immediately say, “Hey, we’ll hire you.” Now or tomorrow, “We’ll call you.” So, you need a phone. Or, “We’ll mail you.” Etc., etc. Or they will ask more questions, and then you have to write to them, and then they will answer you through whatever address. If you don’t have an address, that means you are nobody in the society anymore, no matter what. And then that’s the situation. Everything is sometimes so sad in this world. So sad.Yesterday, I saw a little moth, very little one. And she died because of too much wind at one time, and then she just died on the floor. And I thought she was still alive. I was trying to get the glass and the paper to scoop her in, but she didn’t move. So, I put her on the tree, and she didn’t move again. So I said, “Oh my. You’re dead? So sorry about that. Your life is so short and then you had to die just like that already.” I felt it was so unfair for this moth. I felt so sorry for her. It just touched me somehow, in my heart, that everything in this world is so cruel, so unkind. So, the little helpless and harmless and fragile little moth like that, she couldn’t even enjoy her short life in peace. And that’s not to talk about if some other animals don’t eat her before, even. And then sometimes, if we cook something or eat something, the insects come and then you have to remove them, outside. And I also feel very bad. I feel like, my God, even just to eat something, you have to fight with other beings. Not to talk about many insects die or get injured during the farming season, or off-season, on-season, after, before season. If we don’t think about it, we can survive. If we do, we don’t want to live anymore. Such a hassle to keep this body going. Even simple already, not like very luxurious or anything. So, every day you have to pray and thank all beings for the meal you eat. Thank God, of course, above all. And thank all involved in the meal you eat. Thank the farmers who toil, rain and shine to take care of the vegetables or the food that comes onto your table. And thank the other people: the transport company, the drivers, the ones who harvested it, the ones who washed it, made it ready and put it in a nice container or bag for you to take home. Everything in this world, we owe someone. We use anything at all, we owe everyone. Even tiny bees, insects, they are doing their job so that we…Just stretch it out more. Yeah, on that side. Yeah, yeah, that’s the east side. We have a south side, north side, who cares. Do it. You don’t have a chair? Are you leaning on a chair? Yes? (No.) (No, I’m not.) No, you don’t have? (I have my cushion.) Just a cushion. (Yes.) You should have a little chair. Anybody have a chair? Can somebody go get me a chair for him, please? He is not talking. I am talking. Can somebody go out, get me a chair from the shop? Please. Chair for him. (I have a chair.) Never mind. Never mind. You sit, because when you go out now, you’ll miss me. I think. (Thank You, Master.) I am not sure. But, no. OK, OK. That one. Yeah. It’s more comfy. You’re a driver, aren’t you? Not, not, OK, also fine, fine. Look at that, how much love is going on. (Thank You, Master.) Be careful. (Thank You, Master.) That’s good. All right, enough already. How many chairs? For him also, good. Anybody else who needs a chair? We empty the shop outside for you. Sit. You’re a driver, right? (Yes.) So, you drive all day, sit all day already, now come here, have to sit again. So sorry. Such is life. You know, it’s not fair, anything, I told you already, just before. Nothing is fair in this world. And don’t think he eats a lot, so he grows so big. No, not necessarily. It’s the thyroid gland sometimes. Yeah, when it functions slow, then people get chubby. Or too much fat they put in their hamburger, even vegan burgers, because they like it. And some people just get fat without any reason. And some people eat so much, I’m telling you, and they are like a toothpick. It’s true, right? You know, right? (Yes.) So, don’t criticize anybody; it’s just the way it is. Karma. (Happy Buddha.) Happy Buddha. You look like Maitreya. You need it a little bit bigger though, to compare with Him; that’s just the disciple size. He is like this, the stomach protruding out.So, we created so many different karmas like that. And even nowadays, after initiation, still have. Each one has different karma. And you must meditate well, in order to minimize a little bit, so Master can help you. Because if Master gives you too much power, you also cannot bear. If you clean the karma too quickly, you will have problems, or you will die.Different people create different karma. I have people who help me, but they create different karma also. Or the people who come here with pure intentions to meditate and to see the Master and to elevate themselves, but they also bring different karma. Like a few days ago, I suddenly had such a terrible pain, so I checked and I knew who was coming, and there were two people who were very sick, two Aulacese (Vietnamese) people. I don’t want to say who. Never mind, you know. If you’re very sick, you should not come here, not come here with the intention of wanting Master to cure you. There are medicines; there are doctors. We should not always rely on Master for everything. My body is also very fragile like yours, maybe even more fragile sometimes. I don’t look it, but the body is the body. And I work so hard, sometimes I really abuse this vehicle. Just like if you drive your car and you don’t really take care of it all the time: you don’t change the oil, you don’t have time, or you give cheaper gasoline and make him run, poor car, etc, etc. And you forget to pump in the air, or you don’t have time if you are very busy, and the car is also feeling its age. Or when the car is older, it doesn’t go as fast as before, or you shouldn’t go as fast as before; many parts of the car have to be constantly maintained or changed. The body is the same. But we neglect our body too badly. I myself, truly. But I truly sometimes have no choice with the inside work pressing and the outside work pressing. And the dogs, they don’t understand anything about my job, about my inside, outside. They say they know, “You work day and night for the world.” They told me that, but they don’t care – always come sissy-sassy, want pet, want hugs want (vegan) snacks, want to stick around, don’t want to go to their room. They fought tooth and nail with my new assistants just to stay behind; they don’t want to go out of the gate. They fight with them. Oh really, so terrible. I feel so sorry for the new assistants. They harass them no end. I said, “Go, now!” And then, “OK, OK. OK! OK! I’m going!” And then looking back, “I’m really going?” I said, “You’re going!” They play their game, you know, dogs. I’m telling you.And then escape and all that stuff. Only the mother – she is the wild one because she was born in the wild and lived in the wild before she saw me. Before, nobody could ever touch her. Nobody could go near her even. Only after I got her babies, then she came knocking at my door. And a couple of …a week or ten days, I already could carry her on my shoulder, walking around, showing off to the neighbors. “I got her. See? Caught her!” Because she became like a puppy. She is also one puppy, tough life. She was so young and got pregnant because they’re wild dogs. And she became like one of the puppies. She is the most sissy-sassy of all. I said, “What? You’re a mom, you know that? This is your babies’ stuff, not yours.” But she doesn’t care. She doesn’t really realize that she is older than her babies, just one year plus older; it doesn’t make any difference to her. Afterward, she behaved just like a puppy. Just because she was so used to living in the open, so now and then, she tries to escape, and she is so good at escaping. Before, she could jump. There are fences like that, these kinds of fences? She puts her four paws on it, climbs up, up, up. Two seconds, she’s out. No, not even two seconds, one second. She’s so fast, so fast. That’s why I could never catch her before. I didn’t want her to go out, not because I’m controlling, but I don’t want her to go out eating garbage, and then bring back bad germs and something for the little babies. Before, I scolded her a lot. But she tried, and then she opened windows, and she bit the whole wall to try to get out. She bit the whole wall down. I don’t know how she didn’t die because these are painted. Even if you breathe in or you taste a little bit, you would feel some effect. No, nothing. This girl, she’s invincible. The whole body was all white – the nose, all the hairs was all white, and the ear hairs was all white, the tongue white too – nothing happened to her! I was worried sick, but nothing happened. The moment I’m not careful, she runs. If I open the door, she runs under our legs and out, in… not in 60 seconds, not even six seconds. Six nanoseconds. She’s so fast, so fast because she was so skinny before. Now she’s more chubby but still skinny, so escapes so quick. She climbs so fast and jumps out. And sometimes, she sees some tree nearby, and she uses that tree, climbs up the tree and then near the fence, then she’s up, goes comes out like that. Oh, my God! This girl, incredible! And she uses magic to break even the iron chain, just to get out.(She was a cat before because she likes to climb.) Maybe she was a cat. No, she’s like a cat, (A lion.) and she climbs so fast. She is used to the wild life. She is street smart, so smart. Before, when we were in Thailand, we fenced everywhere but we could never catch her. I hired everybody. And then one time, luckily, we used the big basket that you use for leaves in the garden. And then one Korean guy, looked like he had affinity with her, he came in and just caught her like that. But two days later, she was gone again, etc. Never mind, don’t talk about her. And last night, I was so tired looking for her. Everybody was looking, and to everybody else I said, “You go home and sleep. I’ll wait for her. She will come back.” I just don’t know when, that’s all. She’ll come back. They always come back.

The Apocryphon of John (vegetarian): From the Gnostic Nag Hammadi Library, Part 1 of 2

The Nag Hammadi Library is a collection of early Christian and Gnostic manuscripts, also called codices, discovered in 1945, near the Upper Egyptian town of Nag Hammadi. The general dating of the books varies from the 2nd to the 4th century. The collection includes 13 ancient books containing over 50 spiritual texts. Let us now read from Codex II, “The Apocryphon of John” from the Nag Hammadi Library. “‘He is the invisible Spirit, of Whom it is not right to think of Him as a god, or something similar. For He is more than a god, since there is nothing above Him, for no one lords it over Him. For He does not exist in something inferior to Him, since everything exists in Him. For it is He Who establishes Himself. He is eternal, since He does not need anything. For He is total perfection. He did not lack anything, that He might be completed by it; rather He is always completely perfect in Light. He is illimitable, since there is no one prior to Him to set limits to Him. He is unsearchable, since there exists no one prior to Him to examine Him. He is immeasurable, since there was no one prior to Him to measure Him. He is invisible, since no one saw Him. He is eternal, since He exists eternally. He is ineffable, since no one was able to comprehend Him to speak about Him. He is unnamable, since there is no one prior to Him to give Him a name. “‘How am I to speak with you about Him? His aeon is indestructible, at rest and existing in silence, reposing (and) being prior to everything. For He is the Head of all the aeons, and it is He Who gives them strength in His goodness. For we know not the ineffable things, and we do not understand what is immeasurable, except for Him Who came forth from Him, namely (from) the Father. For it is He who told it to us alone. For it is He who looks at Himself in His Light which surrounds Him, namely the Spring of the water of Life. And it is He Who gives to all the aeons and in every way, (and) Who gazes upon His image which He sees in the Spring of the Spirit. It is He Who puts His desire in His Water-light which is in the Spring of the pure Light-water which surrounds Him.’”

The Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra: Natural Beauty of Southeast Asia

Sumatra is the largest island entirely in Indonesia and the sixth-largest island in the world. A place of extraordinary beauty, its tropical forests are among the richest and most diverse on the planet, boasting some 218 rare species of vascular plants found in the Tesso Nilo landscape, including Amorphophallus titanium, the tallest flower in the world. Located on the spine of the Bukit Barisan Mountains, known as the Andes of Sumatra, the Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra is a 2.5-million-hectare site consisting of three national parks: Gunung Leuser National Park, Kerinci Seblat National Park, and Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park. Gunung Leuser National Park covers 7,927 square kilometers in northern Sumatra. The park is classified by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) as part of the 200 Global Ecoregions of importance for preservation of the planet’s biodiversity. Gunung Leuser National Park also houses the orangutan sanctuary of Bukit Lawang, the largest animal sanctuary of Sumatran orangutans. The largest national park in Sumatra, Indonesia, is the Kerinci Seblat National Park, covering a total area of 13,750 square kilometers that include the West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, and Jambi provinces. Home to a diversity of fauna and flora, Kerinci Seblat National Park has more than 4,000 plant species and is also host to the enormous Rafflesia arnoldii. At the southern tip of Sumatra lies Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park. The World Wildlife Fund has ranked the area as one of the planet’s most biologically exceptional habitats, and it is one of the most important forest area for tiger conservation in the world. We thank the noble governments, organizations, and rangers working diligently to protect the wondrous Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra and its precious inhabitants. How blessed are we to be able to enjoy the vivacious beauty of Mother Nature, uplifting our spirits and reminding us how important it is to respect, preserve, and cherish this natural environment for the wellbeing of the exquisite wildlife as well as humanity.

Hoatzin: The Enigmatic Bird

00:11:05

Hoatzin: The Enigmatic Bird

We hoatzins live in trees and shrubs among the swamps, tropical riverbanks, and mangroves around the Amazon and Orinoco rivers in South America. We are Guyana’s national bird and are honorably included in Guyana’s Coat of Arms. Interestingly, from an evolutionary standpoint, nobody really knows where we came from! We have an extraordinarily colorful appearance. With an un-feathered blue face and maroon eyes, our small head is topped with a cool, spiky 10-centimeter rufous crest, just like a punk rocker’s mohawk. Therefore, some locals call us “Punk Rock Birds.” Hoatzins are exclusively vegan, and along with the Owl Parrot, we are the only two bird species that primarily eat leaves. We also sometimes eat buds, flowers, and fruits as dessert. Foraging in the early morning and evening, we spend the rest of the day comfortably roosting. We have a very potent odor, and are also known as the stink or skunk bird of the marshes. We have a super-sized crop at the base of our throat to store and digest consumed leaves and fruits. This stinky smell is from the chemicals released during the fermentation process taking place in the crop, where bacteria slowly break down the fibrous leaves for us. The rumination process is just like a cow’s, so some people call us “flying cows.” What’s so special about our chicks? They have claws on their wings! While some other birds, such as chickens, kea parrots, and ostriches also have vestigial claws on their wings, we are the only living bird with functional ones that are important to our survival. These cool and handy wing claws are present and functional only when we are young. They disappear once we reach adulthood. The next time you join an Amazon River cruise, look for our spiky orange Mohawk, and listen for us!

This year’s Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Sir Roger Penrose, a mathematical physicist and professor emeritus at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, Dr. Reinhard Genzel, co-director of the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Germany, and Dr. Andrea Ghez, professor of physics and astronomy at the University of California, United States, the fourth woman in history to receive this prestigious honor. Sir Roger will receive half of the approximately US$1.12 million prize money, with the other half being shared between Dr. Genzel and Dr. Ghez. Black holes are regions of space where matter collapses in on itself, and scientists have speculated about their existence for centuries. Sir Roger Penrose demonstrated, using innovative mathematical methods, Albert Einstein’s general theory of relativity results in the development of black holes. Dr. Reinhard Genzel and Dr. Andrea Ghez provided evidence of a supermassive black hole in the Milky Way using powerful infrared telescopes. Our esteemed congratulations, Sir Roger Penrose, Dr. Reinhard Genzel and Dr. Andrea Ghez! May scientific discoveries like yours continue to help us expand our appreciation of the universe, in Celestial splendor.Food kits to supply meals for over ten million people affected by the pandemic in India. Funded by US-headquartered international conglomerate Honeywell, India-based charitable organization Sustainable Environment and Ecological Development Society (SEEDS) has launched Phase 2 of their collaborative initiative. This two-month phase focuses on distributing food packages to provide 10.7 million meals to 178,000 residents in nine Indian cities. Phase one, carried out during the initial lockdowns, involved delivering food items enough for 3.7 million meals for 12,300 families in five cities. The pandemic has resulted in migrant workers, daily wage earners and contracted employees losing their sources of income. SEEDS will coordinate with volunteers and governmental officials to hand out food kits consisting of rice, wheat flour, pulses, sugar, cooking oil and salt to those in need. We are grateful for your caring outreach to the resilient populace of India, Honeywell and SEEDS. In Divine resplendence, may the world soon embrace a vegan diet to usher in a golden age where everyone has an abundance of sustenance.Coming up, United Kingdom survey finds many feel remorseful about meat eating. We are going to pause for a moment to pray for the happiness of all beings. More pleasant news coming up on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Relevant News for a Significant World.British survey determines that 40% of residents feel guilty about eating meat. A study in the United Kingdom commissioned by The Vegan Society and its animal advocacy campaign Future Normal polled 1,000 meat-eating adults. They found that 40% of the respondents feel guilty to either a small or large degree about eating meat. Furthermore, 47.8% of people interviewed also agreed that it is hypocritical to eat some animals while loving others. More than 85% of respondents described themselves in some way as “animal lovers.” Matt Turner, Media and Public Relations Officer for The Vegan Society stated, “Being vegan simply means living in line with the ethics that so many of us already hold in our hearts.” Thank you, The Vegan Society and Future Normal, for your insightful research revealing the loving conscience of the British people. We pray this awakening of love will soon manifest as a fully vegan United Kingdom, in Heaven’s Guidance.United States rescuer saves disaster-stranded animals with infrared drone technology. Since 2019, aerial cinematographer Douglas Thron has been using his state-of-the-art infrared drone to rescue hundreds of animals stranded by disasters such as Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas as well as wildfires on South Australia’s Kangaroo Island and in Oregon and California, both in the US. According to Mr. Thron, the best time to fly the infrared drone is at night, when the animal’s warm body glows in contrast to the cool environment on the screen. Mr. Thron provides the location of wildlife and animal companions in need to a collaborating rescue team, who brings the survivor to safety. In the future, he hopes infrared drones will be used on every rescue mission. Our hearts are touched by your noble work, Douglas Thron. May God bless you dearly. In Celestial brilliance, may we find more innovative ways to help our beloved animal friends and protect all lives.Humor makes life interesting. Here’s a joke of the day called “New Joke.” “Hey, I heard a new joke the other day. I wonder if I told it to you?”“Is it funny?”“Yes!”“Then I think you haven’t told me yet.”?!And now we have a heartline from Ming Ying Shun in China: Dear Master, Thank You for Your efforts in leading the Supreme Master Television team to make the world better and more uplifted. On November 24, 2019, when Master announced for the first time that the maya, the negative power and related entities are destroyed, I witnessed that the people I met were friendly and positive. A female university student I met on a train claimed herself as a “meat-eater,” but she was willing to become a vegetarian or vegan to protect animals. Another gentleman asked for Supreme Master Television’s web address before he left the train so that he could watch it at home. At the Macao airport, I met a 40-year-old lady who was very interested in Master and praised the comprehensive content of Supreme Master Television.
