From the Holy Bible: Gospel of Matthew, Excerpts of Chaps 18, 20-21

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered,” I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”At that time, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said, “I tell you the truth - unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

From the Holy Bible: The Gospel of Mark - excerpts from Chapters 6-12, Part 1 of 2

If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

Life Continues Forever: Questions and Answers, Part 2 of 2

Life always continues, even after we leave this physical body, our life continues. Life has nothing to do with this physical body. This is just one temporary instrument, and our life continues forever. We use one instrument and this instrument, and that instrument, just like we use different car every day. We can know eternal life right now in this life, if we set aside a little bit of time every day to walk out of this physical “car” for a moment and step into eternal life.

Collection of Cao Đài Holy Messages: Book 1 - Lessons 61, 64, 65, 67

Since time immemorial, human beings on Earth are merely travelers. Fame, position, and wealth in life are nothing but a dream. The world is blessed with the light of the Most Compassionate One, Which guides people out of darkness and ignorance. Aspire for spiritual attainment instead of worldly achievements. Rely on one‘s virtues to climb up to celestial realms so as to know the heavenly plans. Detachment from all worldly things is difficult. Few people aspire for heavenly realms, yet many are finding their way into the abyss. The Great Way has come to earth to guide people; without it even Holy Water would not be able to wash away all sufferance.

From the Book of Chuang Tzu: Chapter 17 the Autumn High-Water, Part 2 of 2

“He who understands the Way is certain to have command of basic principles. He who has command of basic principles is certain to know how to deal with circumstances. And, He who knows how to deal with circumstances will not allow things to do him harm. When a man has perfect virtue, fire cannot burn him, water cannot drown him, cold and heat cannot afflict him, birds and beasts cannot injure him. I do not say that he makes light of these things. I mean that he distinguishes between safety and danger, contents himself with fortune or misfortune, and is cautious in his comings and goings. Therefore, nothing can harm him.”

From Buddhist Scripture: Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta, Part 3 of 4

“So long, bhikkhus, in regard to these Four Noble Truths as they really are in their three phases and twelve aspects -knowledge and vision as it really is was not thoroughly purified, for that long, monks, I did not claim to this world with its gods, Mara, and Brahma, in this generation with its ascetics and brahmins, its gods and humans, that I was awakened to the unsurpassed complete enlightenment. But when to me, monks, in regard to these four noble truths - as they really are in their three phases and twelve aspects - knowledge and vision as it really is was thoroughly purified, then monks, I declared to the world with it gods, Mara, and Brahma, in this generation with its ascetics and brahmins, its gods and humans, that I was fully awakened with unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.”

From the Book of Chuang Tzu: Chapter 17 the Autumn High-Water, Part 1 of 2

"There is no end to the weighing of things, no stop to time, no constancy to the division of lots, no fixed rule to beginning and end. Therefore great wisdom observes both far and near, and for that reason recognizes small without considering it paltry, recognizes large without considering it unwieldy, for it knows that there is no end to the weighing of things.

Tablets of Bahá’u’lláh: Tajallíyát -Effulgences

Baha’i principles envision an ideal society. They are gender equality; elimination of all forms of prejudice whether religious, racial, class or national; harmony of religion and science; universal opportunity of education for all; a judicious world government and the elimination of extremes of wealth and poverty. In the Tajallíyát, four Tajallíyát (Effulgences) of God are introduced, and it is said that who so acknowledgeth belief in God and in His signs and testimonies hath in truth acknowledged that which the Tongue of Grandeur uttered ere the creation of Earth and Heaven and the revelation of the Kingdom of Names.
