When it comes to garden activities, lots of enjoyable ways are available to keep us kids entertained. There’s no better way to start the adventure than by planting seeds, which are like magic because they can grow into living plants. If you want to personalize the experience, why not design fun planters? Alternatively, we can go big with larger pieces, like transforming a worn-out chair or turning a pair of rubber boots into a pretty home for our fragrant new flowers. Edible plants, including honeysuckle, chickweed, and nasturtium, are ideal because they can be enjoyed in vegan salads and other vegan dishes, plus fairies love the vibrant colors they produce, especially pink and purple. Decorating the surrounding area with your favorite gnomes and other mystical creatures – even fairy pets like frogs, rabbits, and birds – will ensure that fairies not only stay but also bring us luck!

Gardening as a hobby provides us kids with endless opportunities to learn and explore, but it’s also an experiment involving trial and error. So, don’t forget to bring along a pocket microscope! Our journals can be combined with photos, drawings, or short stories to celebrate both our garden successes and challenges, so we can become more experienced when it comes to taking care of our plant companions. The experience of getting our hands muddy with different textures and then watching how they change as we add water to make a smooth mud pie or some wildflower seed balls can be incredibly fun. If you prefer something less messy, going on a garden scavenger hunt can be just as captivating! The key is to incorporate elements that appeal to our senses – hearing, seeing, touching, and smell – so we can learn more about the world around us. However, as a rule, we should ensure that none of our precious garden creatures like worms or beetles are harmed. So, are you ready to go on a scavenger hunt?
