In this episode, a disciple shares his personal journey of striving for worldly success, realizing it does not bring inner fulfillment, and receiving spiritual upliftment through initiation by Supreme Master Ching Hai, which has led him to live a happier, healthier, and more carefree life. I would like to take another five minutes to share my own experience with Supreme Master Ching Hai. I graduated in Taiwan (Formosa) with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. “Biomedical Engineering” in Chinese is “Biomedical Engineering” – hospital engineering. I came to this country in 1979, and the story I’m going to share with you, is about a typical educated person – how he found the (inner Heavenly) Light and the Way through Supreme Master Ching Hai. […] So, in about 1987, I was kind of curious about spirituality, religion. I didn’t mind Christianity, Catholicism, or Buddhism, but I didn’t like them either. I didn’t know why, maybe because I didn’t understand. Or because I was a stubborn, or a very shy engineer, I couldn’t get any response from God. Even though I thought I was a very good person. I tried very, very hard to help people, and sometimes I got a bad response. I was depressed because of the people who abused my sincere assistance. Anyway, I was searching for a good religion, because I thought probably that would fulfill me in some way. […] I wasn’t happy because I didn’t see any (inner Heavenly) Light with that particular religion. It’s not Christianity, it’s not Catholicism – it’s a group of people where you just do meditation. Probably the meditation they taught me was not right. So, I was depressed again. I didn’t know what to do. I quit my job. It was a very easy and comfortable job. I quit because I was not happy. I didn’t want to see anymore sick people. Probably I’m selfish, I don’t know, but depressed, disappointed. So, I started my own company, and I had my (business) partner. And my partner, she is also a disciple of Supreme Master Ching Hai. So, she shares some experience with me. […] OK. And what I want to say is, She presented the seminar. And in only one third of the seminar, I held my wife’s hand, and I said, “I’m going to get initiated because what She says answers a lot of questions in my life.” And since we were initiated, so many things happened to both of us, and we are happy every day. We are healthy every day. We eat vegetables, because it makes sense to us. Since then, we have practiced the method that Supreme Master Ching Hai taught us. We got immediate response. We see the (inner Heavenly) Light. We hear the (inner Heavenly) Sound. These are the things that we all need today, not just you, everybody on Earth. Am I happy? I don’t care how poor or how wealthy I am, because I know where I’m from, where should I go, and what should I do. The story tells you a stubborn engineer can change over to this kind of life. It’s not easy, but it did happen, very naturally. Without Supreme Master Ching Hai’s help, I won’t be that happy and healthy, here today. […] Master, ladies and gentlemen, the disciples from Taiwan (Formosa), would like to present a song for Master? OK? I hope you all hear. (A surprise?) The title of this song is “The Mother of the Earth.” This song is composed by one of Master’s disciples in Taipei, and the song is full of emotional love. Two streams of hot tears trace the Holy Mother’s face, like the waters of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. The children’s hearts are stained with dust. She’s cleaning with tears of Love. She shelters us from wind and rain. She silently endures countless hardships. Holy Mother’s infinite Light shines upon us, protecting the children from being stained again. The loving voice of our Holy Mother lingers in our ears, telling the children about our Hometown in Heaven. Oh, Holy Mother! I want to follow Your Truth, and never part from You.
