Later, in 1980, he moved to Los Angeles to promote Marvel’s film ventures. He revolutionized the entire industry and catapulted Marvel into being the world’s top publisher of comic books. Stan Lee won numerous accolades during his prolific career. In 2008, he received the prestigious National Medal of Arts. In 2010, he founded The Stan Lee Foundation to provide literary resources, arts programs, and education to people of all ages, while promoting diversity, literacy, culture, and the arts.
