According to medical experts, insomnia is frequently a result of a sedentary lifestyle, exposure to bright light, and eating late, therefore, attaining good sleep necessitates modifying daily habits. The main ways to enhance sleep include: boosting physical activity by regularly walking and moving vigorously throughout the day, decreasing bright light usage at night by switching to a soft yellow light to trigger melatonin production, not using electronic devices for 1-2 hours prior to bed, consuming a lighter dinner finishing 3-4 hours before your sleep time, and then going on a 20-minute light walk soon after you have finished dinner to assist with digestion.
