In today’s news, Japan pledges funding to Kazakhstan to help address Caspian Sea water decline. Extreme drought affects nearly half of Czech Republic’s soil, Nigeria prepares comprehensive initiative to expand access to basic education, Syria receives funding for new climate adaptation development to enhance water security nationwide, US grandfather recognized with Guinness World Record for lifetime blood donations, 2026 cruelty-free vegan footwear collection released across retail markets in India, and first municipal canine-people water rescue team deployed to support beach safety in Spain.

Building projects can be fun for all the family. Here is a tip for joining two boards of different widths at a perfect right angle, without calculating any angles. First, place the two boards side-by-side with their inner edges touching and ends aligned. Make a loop in a piece of string and anchor the open ends at the bottom center where the boards meet. Pull the loop-end of the string taut to match the width of the board and swing it to draw a curved arc across that board to the inside edge. Do this for both sides, adjusting the string length for the different width of the second board. Next, line up a ruler from where the arc mark meets the inside edge of one board to the outer bottom corner of the opposite board and draw a diagonal line. Repeat this on the other side to form two lines and cut your wood carefully along each one. When you bring the two cut edges together, they will fit perfectly with no gaps.

Now it’s time for a refreshing joy shower with the joke of the day, entitled “Food for Thought.”

Nate told Lauren about something that had happened earlier.

“I walked into the kitchen and forgot why I was there.”

“Did you ever remember what it was?”

“Yes. I grabbed a snack, and it came back to me.”

“So, your memory runs on snacks!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from a disciple in Singapore
