Research shows every vegan saves over 100 animals annually

A study by UnitedStates-based nonprofit Animal Charity Evaluators assessed that on average, aperson adopting a vegan diet saves the lives of nearly 105 animals each year.Of the lives spared, approximately 92.5 are wild and farmed fish, 11.6 arefarmed birds including chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys, and 0.6 are farmedmammals such as pigs, rabbits, sheep, goats and cows.Entitled “The Effects ofDiet Choices,” the analysis estimated that over 772 billion animals wereslaughtered in 2018 for human consumption, basing the calculation primarily ondata from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. The authorsnoted that if adding the animals who died due to the indirect causes of meatproduction such as deforestation, the number of lives saved by a vegan isactually higher. Our earnest appreciation, Animal Charity Evaluators. Mayeveryone be kind stewards of our innocent animal friends to save lives and ourplanet through the noble diet of compassion, in God’s benevolence.

PromotePlantProtein.org.” Their request comes at a time when thousands of slaughterhouse workers in the state have been infected with COVID-19, yet the facilities sadly continue to operate.A high salute, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, for your noble actions to encourage much needed change. Study finds vegan diet brings better health than Mediterranean diet

A study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition found that a low-fat vegan diet successfully improved several health markers compared to the Mediterranean diet, which is partially plant-based, but includes seafood, meat, eggs and dairy products. In the 16-week randomized crossover trial with 62 overweight adults, participants on the 100% plant-based diet lost an average 6 kilograms of body weight, considerably reduced cholesterol levels, and improved insulin sensitivity, while there were no significant changes in these measurements for those on the Mediterranean diet.Study author Dr. Hana Kahleova, Director of Clinical Research at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, stated that choosing plant-based eating is a great way to lose weight and get healthy. Our appreciation, Dr. Hana Kahleova and all involved in this valuable study. May everyone now embrace the vegan lifestyle for vibrant health, in God’s illuminating wisdom.
